Coach Ken Carter
Ken Carter made waves as a basketball coach at Richmond High School in California by prioritizing his athlete's education over on-the-court success. His story was immortalized in a 2005 movie, Coach Carter, where he was played by Samuel L. Jackson. Carter now runs the Coach Carter Impact Academy, a boarding school in Texas founded on the same principles of self-discipline and academic achievement.
