all right, y'all, what's up? You are back with the blue slide serenade, the tale of two hearts yes, we are the queen bee and I are back and, uh, it's been about a month and a half since our last podcast on this channel.
Speaker 3Yeah, it has been.
Speaker 2And we have had a lot of things happening.
Speaker 3A lot of things going on.
Speaker 2Lots of things happening. I mean beyond the norm of having five daughters and cheer competitions Formal.
Speaker 1Huh Formal.
Speaker 2Huh, formal. Oh yeah, we had formal, we had formal, we had to go. You know take pictures for hours on end.
Speaker 3Sure.
Speaker 2Man, that was painful man. You know, in addition to that, and you know our side hustles and everything else, you know we have a lot going on. I think we've probably had about eight photo booths go out in the last month and a half. Yeah, photo booths are going out like crazy. Djing is is is getting busier again Now that season is starting and you know new year and you know you've got birthdays and anniversaries and graduation parties and weddings and everything in between, um, including, you know, your club gigs and any of the projects you're working on.
Speaker 2Yeah, weather's getting nicer yeah, weather's gonna start getting nicer so we're gonna be able to, uh, get outside, get some fresh air, get out in the sun, you know, have families come out. You know which. We're talking about something right now. We haven't even told our listeners about it is all over the Internet. Right now, though, you know all over social media, we have an event that we dreamt up and we have made happen.
Speaker 2basically, it is coming up the 23rd yes of february, which is sunday, sunday the 23rd, and it is, uh, 14, 15, 18th street, yes, which would equate to the 18th street parking garage yes so basically, we are having a rooftop party, if you will, a rooftop picnic, on top of the parking garage. Yes, first couple floors, you guys are welcome to park. Yeah, but you will be stopped before you get to the top floor.
Speaker 3Yes, you will.
Speaker 2And turned around Hopefully nicely.
Speaker 3Yes, hopefully nicely.
Speaker 2Yes, because there will be families. We will have a lot of people hopefully in attendance, a lot of families. We kept the price point very, very, very low, introductory, almost at $10 for one ticket or $15 for two tickets.
Speaker 3Yes.
Speaker 2We're not in business on this event. This is a passion project, so there's no budget and there's no profit.
Speaker 3No.
Speaker 2There's no budget, there's no profit. You know everything is going into it, just to see if Bakersfield responds.
Speaker 3Yeah.
Speaker 2If we can determine that this is something special, something Bakersfield would like to continue to do with their families after this event.
Speaker 1That would be fun.
Speaker 2But it came together kind of like a whirlwind, I think.
Speaker 3Yeah.
Speaker 2Very, very, very fast. We met with the owner of the parking garage twice. We locked that in, we posted, we created flyers. We are investing in advertisement. It's getting posted and advertised and coming up on everybody's Facebook and Instagram accounts. Eventbrite we have tickets on Eventbrite, tickets at the door, tickets at Eventbrite same thing Not gouging Again. We want this to be a big family event. We want you to bring your kids out. We already have about 10 vendors, I think, or a variety, I wouldn't even say 10 vendors. We have Primo's Smoked Barbecue.
Speaker 3Yeah, Fuego's Tacos.
Speaker 2Fuego's Tacos Sweet Shack, the Sweet Shack.
Speaker 3Antojitos.
Speaker 2Antojitos del 661, Aguas.
Speaker 3Yeah.
Speaker 2Yeah, we have. Is it Scotty's Lemonade?
Speaker 3Yeah.
Speaker 2They're joining on. We have Amy Peachy Sweet Buttery Cobbler Company. Yes, so those are our food and drink vendors. They will all be up on top, on the outer edge, whatnot? Um, we have vermi vermi's customs. Uh, she does a whole bunch of uh crafts yeah uh, you know, from tumblers to tote bags to, I've seen all kinds of stuff so I'm sure she has she's dabbling in all of it.
Speaker 3Yeah.
Speaker 2We have. Laura is joining us as a live painter.
Speaker 1Oh, awesome.
Speaker 2So she will be out there painting something live urban-esque, if you will. You know, city outdoors. You know all that good stuff. We have Naleli face painting. She's going to be out there doing face painting.
Speaker 2For the kids, For the kids. We have a jumper from Ritz Parties, Ritzy Party Rentals. We have a jumper from them. So we've got a few things out there for the kids. Um, we have a jumper from them. Uh, so we got a few things out there for the kids. Uh, Ritz is also. Ritzies is also going to provide, um, I think, like eight space eaters, if we think you know the time between 11 am and 4 pm is going to warrant some some warmth right yeah of course.
Speaker 2Um, you know, if it does great we're, we're going to have about eight of them out there if we need to. Yeah, what do you think?
Speaker 3Yeah, it's good, and then we'll have like little random games like Jenga and Connect Four maybe. Connect Four and then.
Speaker 2Cornhole maybe.
Speaker 3And Cornhole and Tic-Tac-Toe Kind of in the picnic area. Yeah.
Speaker 2And where the families are going to be, the kids can do stuff Outdoor family things, yeah. And where the families are going to be, the kids can do stuff Outdoor family things, yeah. We'll be playing music. Oh, we got at least three DJs, uh-huh, djs, get in free as well. That's a special promotion kind of thing. I mean, it's always going to be a thing of respect for me, for the DJ community. You know, you get in free. Yeah, I don't think DJs ever are on the receiving end of anything. Great, if you will, you get a veteran's discount, right? You?
Speaker 3get an.
Speaker 2AARP discount or a AAA discount. We need some DJ stuff, so we got to take care of our DJs.
Speaker 3Yeah, and then kids under the age of 10 get in for free.
Speaker 2Kids under 10 age of 10 get in for free. Kids under 10 free. Anybody under 18 needs to be accompanied with an adult.
Speaker 1Yes.
Speaker 2This is going to be a mature adult, family-friendly, nice event. No BS, nothing else, that'll be taken care of. We do have security that we hired as well yeah, if your kid's an asshole, don't bring them yeah, if your kid's a little shit and you're a parent that lets your kid be a little shit, hey, I don't bring them.
Speaker 3Don't do it you will be escorted out yeah, ask to leave and escort it out.
Speaker 2I'll refund you and everything. We just don't want to deal with that shit nope like I said, this is a passion project and it's something that's dear to us and something we want to make happen, and it's something that we are paying to have happen. Uh, so it is our event yes um. On a lighter note yeah we got into some drones recently yeah we got into some drones, some drone photography, if you will.
Speaker 2We did bring out the drone at the formal pictures. Yes, downtown, which was on 18th street as well, coincidentally where we took the pictures yeah, we got some great pictures, some great drone footage and yeah, we did get some good drone footage, some aerial shots that you would not have been able to get otherwise, which was nice, um, I think earlier that day we were at chewy's earlier the day we flew at chewy's.
Speaker 2Yeah, we uh wanted to stop by. Rich had his barbecue competition out there at chewy's and we wanted to stop by and just say hi, you know, just support, and uh, I ended up djing for a while yeah rich was running around trying to do things. It's like, well, I can blend a couple songs together for you, man. No, no, big deal that's always nice. Yeah, yeah, you got somebody that you can rely on help you out, you know it's not like you go out somewhere and there's 100 djs.
Speaker 2Yeah, uh, I guess, depending on where you're from. I guess maybe if you're from Jersey, everybody's a DJ or something.
Speaker 3And then we got the drone footage of Chewy's.
Speaker 2Yeah, we got the drone footage of Chewy's. I almost lost it twice.
Speaker 3One was extremely high and those major, major power lines up there and then if you don't, if you're not from bakersfield rosedale highway is a major highway yeah, it flew over on top of rosedale highway as well, um but we saved it, it got back.
Speaker 2Um, we did the formal uh oh, um. And then the next, the next day or a couple days after, we went back down to the parking garage because we wanted to capture more footage. We're getting drone cocky.
Speaker 1Yep Very.
Speaker 2Very drone cocky. So I was like, hey, your boy. You know, I've been watching videos, I know how to do all this cinematic stuff. Now let's go. So we got on top of the building and, you know, launched the drone and we started flying around big circular pattern. You know, launched the drone and we started flying around big circular pattern, you know, and we had this one real nice cinematic shot which we did post up until the wreckage. So just know that at the end of that video the drone wrecked on top of what. Is it? Eurekio's?
Speaker 3I think so.
Speaker 2Eurekio's parking garage, and prior to that, while I was getting the drone ready, I dropped the iPhone that I used for it and busted the screen.
Speaker 3Yeah, you did. It was not a good day.
Speaker 2No, we went down to Eurekio's and they were gracious enough to let me climb on top of their building as high as they were able to have access, but it wasn't high enough to get the drone. As high as they were able to have access, but it wasn't high enough to get the drone, so we had to go back to the Haberfeldt building and have the maintenance guy grab it for us. Grabbed it and very, very, very minor, minor issue with it. That's been resolved. So it's still good, it still works. We've tested it, everything's good on it. It's the cost of drone education I'm going to say um, you know, they do have virtual flyers that you can use on your tv and your computer screen, with those joysticks that you use for them to help teach you or help get you better, like a video game, which I am going to be doing quite often very soon, because drones are expensive and I really don't like breaking things or he doesn't I take I take very good care of my things.
Speaker 2Yeah, I'm very, very weird about my things. Don't touch my things. Yeah, my things are work and I know where they're at. Yeah, I said it. So what else do we have going on? We hit the casino a couple times.
Speaker 3Yeah.
Speaker 2Hit the casino a couple times, played one of our favorite games, which is Eureka Treasure Train.
Speaker 3Yeah.
Speaker 2Eureka Treasure Train, one of our favorite games and we hit a couple majors on it finally, yeah, we did. Hit a couple majors on it. That was kind of nice and that's. You know that money's gone already.
Speaker 3But we got a lot of good things.
Speaker 2Yeah, yeah, we DJed over at Condors, we dj'd over there. I believe that was last month yeah yeah, we went down there, dj'd. We've had a quite a few most dope podcasts here at the house various guests. We had derrick b up from uh vallejo yeah yeah, which is Sick Mix. We had Ajax up there in Napa or whatnot. Which is Ajax?
Speaker 3Yeah.
Speaker 2We had Stacy, our graphics girl, on there, she's amazing, yes, she is. Our website is almost done, apparently. So CaliEntertainmentGrouporg yes, we'll be live very soon, um, and it will have information on booking and everything else, with myself and miss marion over here for busy bee creations and the uh, the companies under the umbrella of cali entertainment yeah so that website is. Uh. She's almost done with that and I'm going to review it, I think, tomorrow.
Speaker 2I think I'll get a preview of it tomorrow. I'll get to review it and make sure all of our integrations are in there and everything for like our CRM software and all that good stuff. Oh, it was Nate's birthday the other day a couple days ago.
Speaker 3I didn't even know. Messaged him, said happy birthday I'll have to message him too yeah happy late birthday nate, sorry bad friend.
Speaker 2Happy late birthday. Homie blame facebook it didn't tell me that's who I'm turning off your notifications.
Speaker 3That's who?
Speaker 2I. That's who I use for birthday notifications facebook. If it's not on there, you don't have it in there. I'm you know. I'm probably not going to remember yeah I'm.
Speaker 3I don't have that kind of memory no when's our anniversary baby uh, march 5th no no no what is it?
Speaker 2march 10th march 10th, see told I don't know, I was close though. Fyi it's coming up 360 days and I got it within five-day range.
Speaker 3I did pretty good All right, all right, I'll give it to you.
Speaker 1It's our anniversary.
Speaker 3Yeah, it is.
Speaker 2What are you going to do for?
Speaker 3me. I know, babe, hint, hint, hint hint, hint, hint.
Speaker 2What are you going to do for her?
Speaker 3I don't know, it's not my job.
Speaker 1It's your job. It's not your job, it's your job, oh Huh.
Speaker 2I don't know about that I think they're supposed to go both ways for a healthy relationship.
Speaker 1Supposed to take care of each other. I think.
Speaker 3Not just one person, what day is for men. I'm pretty spoiled.
Speaker 2What day is for men?
Speaker 3Every day, men? I'm pretty spoiled. What day's for men every day? No, that's true way, what day is for men? Every day? No, hell, no. When's men's day? Every day? No, yes why?
Speaker 1because this is a man's world, pretty much oh man.
Speaker 2So a couple of casino trips. We got our event. We had. We've had three events over it off the rails.
Speaker 3Yeah.
Speaker 2And I almost forgot about Odd Future Night.
Speaker 3Oh, that's right.
Speaker 2Odd Future Night was a decent night. Uh huh, but my boy Mac Miller. Oh yeah, that was fun. Mac Miller's birthday, hosted it off the rails. Uh was an amazing, amazing night. Yeah, uh, so many people. We had, uh, you know, over 60, I think it. You know, various points throughout the evening. Um, it was, it was very, very nice. And then, uh, becca hit me up only like with a week's notice for this next one and if you know, I would go down there on Saturday or whatnot.
Speaker 3I was like.
Speaker 2Of course, you know I'll always help out.
Speaker 3Wait, let's, let's go back, let's rewind a little bit and talk about Mac Miller night.
Speaker 2Mac Miller night.
Speaker 3OK.
Speaker 2I don't know, I don't want to talk about the one thing.
Speaker 3Yes, we're going to talk about it because I think it's ridiculous.
Speaker 2It just ruins the, you know. That's why I choose to cut that chunk of memory out, but it's like people should know.
Speaker 3People should know that you just don't do those things.
Speaker 2I let people know. I let them know. Yeah, so Mac Miller Night was from 8 pm to 10 pm, originally Yep, two hours. Mac Miller, or Mac Miller featured, or Mac Miller related, if you will, artists. So you know you're talking. Thundercat, you're talking. You know, odd Future, you're talking. All of those guys. Yeah, you're talking SZA, who Mac knew about long ago. So I mean I'm rocking it. You know, cocky or not, I did well that night.
Speaker 3Very.
Speaker 2Um, I would expect nothing short of that from somebody that claims they're a huge fan of a particular person or group.
Speaker 3Right.
Speaker 2You better know their catalog and I do. Yeah, and it was clear. Everybody was happy, everybody is having a ball. If somebody come up asking me for a request, it was either queued up or already, or it was down the line ready to go in a different BPM, took all of them Fle, flew with it, no problem. Well, it was going so well. We got asked to stay another hour, which is awesome. I'll stay three, four, five, six, as long as you're making money. That's what I'm here for. I'm here to help you out.
Speaker 2I'm here to have fun, play music and ensure that you're making money. Yeah, you know you don't need me there to lose money. You can do that on your own. I don't want to be a part of that. I don't want to be a part of you paying me when nobody shows up and just. It doesn't sit right with me.
Speaker 3I don't like it no so we had a little lady two girls, some some broad, not little lady yeah, I can't call her a lady I'm trying to be nice this bitch for real this bitch their titties hanging out oh yeah, she had major under boob, but you told me she had pasties on or
Speaker 1something at least to cover the nips I don't
Speaker 2pay attention to her um she, I don't know if they came in at about 9.15 or something.
Speaker 3More like 9.30.
Speaker 2They came in quite late. Now I've already played two and a half hours, or two hours and 15 minutes either way, of Mac Miller and Mac Miller-esque music. I've already played it. Some songs I played a couple times, actually Very, very, very dear Mac songs I played a couple times. For you know, if somebody was there at 7 and they heard it at 7.15, or if somebody showed up at 8.15, they got to hear it at 8.15. So I played these important things, what I felt was important, multiple times. Well, we close at 11. And this lady, well, this girl, broad Broad, this bitch, this busy, this little hussy, she, they're dancing the whole time too, her and her little friend, they're dancing the whole time too, her and her little friend, they're dancing the whole time and they leave and they come back in with their.
Speaker 2She comes back in with her cell phone, on, on facetime facetime on mirror mode so it can see her face and it can see off the rails interior right. And she says I came out to mac miller night and they didn't even play. Mac Miller and everybody there that had been there throughout the night had just looked at each other. Like you know, is this bitch on drugs or something Like are you crazy or like like everybody was coming up to me and you know, thanking me.
Speaker 3Yeah, I had such a great time.
Speaker 2You know, complimenting and supportive and just just a good, good, good group, good crowd, good atmosphere. And then this girl tried to screw it all up I know but we didn't let her no we went over to jerry's pizza and rocked out with dose moochos. We did, yeah. Dose came by early that night yeah mac miller's birthday. Uh came by early at off the rail, said hi before he went and performed over at jerry's.
Speaker 3So we support people that support us yeah you know, it's very simple yeah, just come give some love and it's nice, even if they're taking five or ten minutes out of their day, out of their busy day exactly all we were doing was setting up.
Speaker 2At the time we I hadn't mixed a single song, I hadn't played I hit the play button, I hadn't done anything yet and we sat and we talked for five or ten minutes, reminisced, gave each other some love and did our things. And then we met up later that night and hung out for a little bit.
Speaker 3No, and then we went home.
Speaker 2We went home yeah, that was good. We um so we had odd future night over off the rails. We had mac miller his birthday, which was the best event that we've had with off the rails so far and I think, one of their best events that they might have had for a while.
Speaker 2And then this last weekend, which was a late one, one, a last minute thing is like hey, you want to come down and play some reggae or whatever, some island vibe-ish, some soca, some Afro beats, whatever, and we went down there and played all that, but it was a very slow night. It wasn't a great, a great crowd or a great, anything like that and those happened like everybody had something going on, right the people that were there, they, they enjoyed it while they were there.
Speaker 2You know, yeah, that's uh becca, that was becca's atmosphere, that's. You know, that's what she wanted for that night. And we, um, not only do we have the ad created, but we had advertising done for it.
Speaker 2So you know, we're not out here just raking people and like not doing anything, trying to. You know, are we promoters? No, but yeah, you know, we're djs and we're, we're entertainers and artists and things of that nature. But you know what, until you're in a place that you don't have to promote yourself, you have to promote yourself. It just is what it is. Stacey does all of our graphics, all of our flyers, knocks them out. Her art, her vision, her style is very complementary to ours.
Speaker 3Yeah, lines up with us. Yeah, yeah.
Speaker 2Yeah, lines up with us. Yeah, yeah, yeah, so we had that. We had Bug over here Bakersfield Underground.
Speaker 3Oh, that's right, we did All the guys.
Speaker 2We ordered barbecue. We brought barbecue food in and Bug came in and we had an amazing podcast.
Speaker 1We did.
Speaker 2Episode nine, maybe of the Most Dope.
Speaker 3It was fun.
Speaker 2It was hilarious, it was fun, it was spontaneous, spontaneous Spontany. What Spontaneous, spontaneous Jesus Christ man. I'm about to make fun of myself. I'll get in trouble on this podcast, though, if I do hey.
Speaker 1Babe.
Speaker 2Hey, I don't care, whatever that's what I did. I did something. Very hey, you guys, hey, hey, hey, get some Fat Albert and some Goonies.
Speaker 3That's a cross between the both. What about when we delivered my ring? We found a cool little spot. Might be doing something. Just a little hint hint.
Speaker 2Yeah, yeah, we had to ship a ring off and we had to get some stuff in order to do so and we came across a location and a gentleman that we spoke to about the location and it might be something that we do fairly soon. Yeah, I think we should, probably after Beats Over the City.
Speaker 2That'll be our next little project, maybe in March or April, depending on how Beats Over the City does. That may continue monthly until bad weather season, september or something. So we have March, april, may, june, july, august, september. You know, june, july, those months right there in the middle might be a bit hot. You know we have to. We have to use them cool months. What is what are we going to consider our cool months? March, april, may and then June, july is probably no go.
Speaker 2August is no go, probably not until September, october, november which even I think we can do it outdoors still in those weathers.
Speaker 3Yeah, I think we can. Yeah, we can, did we?
Speaker 2mention that we got two other DJs going to be. We did not mention that we have more than one DJ right.
Speaker 3Yeah, we did, who we did.
Speaker 2Who did we mention? We didn't mention the names though.
Speaker 3Oh no, we didn't mention the names. No, dj.
Speaker 2Dynamite and DJ Dos Muchos.
Speaker 3Yeah.
Speaker 2In addition to myself, gordie B and probably who knows how many DJs are going to show up. Djs are going to show up. Djs getting free yeah. And if none of us mind or we're not doing anything and we're not busy on the decks, then you know what you want to do a little quick set or session Go ahead.
Speaker 3Yeah.
Speaker 2You know the crowd will love it. You know the people that are sitting there in the picnic will love the variety. It's a variety. You know, if you can get 30 minutes of each DJ, you have a great variety hour of each DJ. We're going to go from 11 am to 4 pm, so we have five hours. So I think I would still like to get one or two more DJs in there. I'm pretty sure Airflow will be there. I'm pretty sure he will.
Speaker 3Yeah, and I'm sure he'll drop a set yeah, I think so too.
Speaker 2Yeah, I think some of our peeps will be there I hope so, but I hope a lot of people we don't know are there. I hope a lot of people that possibly follow us or, you know, even enjoy our podcast or anything like that on social media or anything else that we haven't really met in person yeah, I hope we meet them yeah, me too I would like to meet some new cool people, some good people yeah then you know you have that many more connections, somebody who knows somebody, who knows somebody right yeah like we don't know what the fuck we are doing with this event no, we, we're just going with the flow, like we're just having fun enjoying life and want to just give a piece of that to everybody yeah, I wish I could tell people.
Speaker 2I knew exactly what I was doing all the time. I'm gonna tell everybody right now. I have no fucking clue what I'm doing ever. I am just not that afraid to fail no afraid to look foolish, afraid to have people judge me, and I don't really care, because after that person judges me I've learned something else already. I'm not going to make have that question again yeah and I'm going to be able to utilize that knowledge for something going forward yeah so you know, we don't know what we're doing.
Speaker 2We're getting an event together. We're basically throwing ourselves a party. We're throwing ourselves a party on the rooftop because myself, gordon Baldrige, dj Gordy B always wanted to have a party on a rooftop somewhere, attend one, and I always wanted to DJ on a rooftop somewhere. This is going to accomplish both of those things and, like I said, we have I don't know, we probably have 10 or 11 people already coming out as vendors or artists or whatever it may be yeah um, we got a lot we do and there's not a whole lot of spots up on that top of that parking garage.
Speaker 2You know we're estimating two parking spots per vendor, yeah Right, which I'm going to assume is about 10 feet by 10 feet. You know, standard parking spots, you know five by five.
Speaker 3Five, no wait 10.
Speaker 2Probably not. Five by five. What are standard parking spots? Five by four maybe?
Speaker 3Maybe I don't know.
Speaker 1Six five by five, what a standard parking spot.
Speaker 2Five by four, maybe, maybe, I don't know. Six, six foot has to be like six foot, six foot deep. Yeah, at least look how long trucks are they gotta fit in? That's true is it is a parking spot 10 foot, by what?
Speaker 3four feet five?
Speaker 2foot, I don't know. Anyways, there's goddamn lines on the fucking concrete upstairs and it's called a parking lot. Yeah, and we've kind of just estimated out you know what 13 total 14, I believe it was 14 total possible. But again, we're very selective. I say I won't say picky, but we're being selective about our vendors. We want things that make sense and will synergize with each other. For instance, scotty has lemonade and Primo's has barbecue. I'll take barbecue and lemonade all day, you have the Sweet Shack who's?
Speaker 2going to probably have that Dubai chocolate and some other things like that. Is she going to have the Fresca's there? She is right, I don don't know I think she might. I don't remember what ali said I don't know um, you have the antojitos del 661 and those are going to be like the bacon wrap dogs. So if somebody doesn't want to spend barbecue money, necessarily, or taco. And Fuego's Tacos. We got taco money. You know, there's something for everybody there.
Speaker 2Yeah, there'll be a price range for everybody. Yeah, I mean, if you have 20 kids, barbecue might be expensive. If it's just you and your wife, hey, get that barbecue right.
Speaker 3You have 20 people with you and you want to feed some mouths, it might be cheaper to go with Antojjitos or fuegos or you know whoever else and, uh, like I said, amy's gonna have them slices out there yeah, amy's gonna have slices out there, cupcakes, and yeah, it'll be fun, it'll be, it's gonna be a great day I really hope so.
Speaker 2I really hope so. I uh, worst case, like I said, um, we threw a party on the rooftop and maybe we made a few families happy yeah best case, it's a wild success and it becomes a thing of bakersfield yeah you know, it will, I already know know, do you?
Speaker 3I already know, do you Uh-huh All?
Speaker 2right, you know, I think I'll pick up a couple of the R&B Sundays tickets.
Speaker 3Mm-hmm.
Speaker 2And I'll give those out.
Speaker 3Yeah, we'll give some stuff away.
Speaker 2We'll pick up a couple comedy show tickets from Clyde. We'll give those out.
Speaker 3Might give out a couple photo booths.
Speaker 2A couple photo booth rentals. Not photo booths, oh no, sorry. Photo booth rentals I'm gonna run this through our lawyer before we post this, uh, we do not want to be liable for having to give somebody a complete photo booth no, a photo booth rental, yeah, speaking of photo booths. Uh, cali entertainment group will be on site with a photo booth, uh-huh yeah we will be doing that and oh, hey, hey, what?
Speaker 3go ahead, I got something, I got an ace in the pocket. Though, go ahead, you don't got.
Speaker 2Yeah, we won't be doing that. Oh hey, hey what? Go ahead. I got an ace in my pocket, though. Go ahead, go ahead. You don't got nothing. Nope the banner.
Speaker 3Oh yeah, Whew Yep.
Speaker 2So Stacy created the flyer in the typical flyer size 8 1⁄2 by 11 or whatever it may be. Well, we decided, hey, we want a big banner, yep. And what better than Beats Over the City at the top of what the graphic that Stacey made us? Yep. So Stacey went ahead and recreated that top graphic with Be over the city to accommodate the QCS quick custom signs company here in Bakersfield with a SVG or some you know vectorized file or whatnot, high quality file that can be manipulated, stretched if you will without it losing its quality, its quality and pixelation and stuff like
Speaker 1that.
Speaker 2They printed it out in less than 24 hours, handed it to us in less than 24 hours and we got a 10 foot by 4 foot banner for Beats Over the City, which will be there, hung up proudly, right With a bunch of balloons from Busy Bee Creations laying around it.
Speaker 1Maybe some pillars, you know, we'll see we'll see.
Speaker 2We'll have trash cans out there. Y'all, don't be filthy, I'm not. I'm not your mom, I'm not your dad. I don't like dirty people. If you're dirty, I don't like you, you know, deal with it. Uh, pick up after yourself, clean up after yourself. We'll have trash cans all over the place and all the corners, everything else, and uh, we want to do this again. Um, I'm not going to do it again if I have to pick up everybody's garbage and stuff, though yeah and you know it's it's.
Speaker 2It shows some respect, shows some appreciation, have some morals and values and things of that nature. And even if you normally throw trash around or just leave things laying around, hey, pick it up for us please.
Speaker 3Yeah, yeah, but come out, bring your families, invite your friends.
Speaker 2Yeah, I think it's going to be a great little event.
Speaker 3I think so too. It'll be chill, it'll be fun, you'll hear good music.
Speaker 2Yeah, so we're going to have food, music, photo booths. Yeah, crafts vendors, we're gonna have somebody painting on site. You can sit and watch somebody paint a big old I don't know. I think she said something like a three foot by four foot canvas or something which will be four hours of painting, I think, from the complete setup, breakdown and painting the whole time okay um, what else do we have? We have something else and I'm missing it. I know I'm missing it. What's the other thing we're missing?
Speaker 3I think that's it. Oh, we have Havana Night coming up again.
Speaker 2Havana Night that's a big thing to miss, babe.
Speaker 3Yeah, Havana Night's coming up again. Come on Havana Night. Havana's been great to us. Havana has been great um good people, good vibes.
Speaker 2I mean it's just fun always the most um professional people there yeah always the most courteous, nice, kind, friendly, appreciative people there, and I think we're going to fly the drone around inside, are we? Yeah, why not?
Speaker 1Okay.
Speaker 2Inside of 1933? Sure, let's give that drone a flight, or let's have it follow the instructor or something. Let it do its own pattern.
Speaker 3We'll see yeah.
Speaker 2And have it return home each time, hopefully we don't hit nobody.
Speaker 3Yeah, but that's Havana nights, the last thing this month.
Speaker 2We have a photo booth and we have a couple private little parties In between. Yeah yeah, we have a photo booth and we have a couple private little parties In between.
Speaker 3Yeah, yeah. But Beats Over the City will be on February 23rd. Yeah, havana Nights on February 28th.
Speaker 2When's the comedy show? March what?
Speaker 3The comedy show is March 15th.
Speaker 2March 15th We'll be back in 1933 with Clyde for the comedy show. That is going to be a lot of fun.
Speaker 3Yeah.
Speaker 2I am going to attempt to make it very, very hard for the comedians. I want everybody to have such a good time pre-partying, if you will, before the comedians come out.
Speaker 3Yeah.
Speaker 2That the comedians better be great.
Speaker 3They will, yeah, they're always good.
Speaker 2He always brings great, so we have greatness all around We'll have great music. We'll have great comedy, have a great evening, and we need to hold each other to those great standards, if you will.
Speaker 3Yeah.
Speaker 2Comedians need to hold the DJs to it. Djs need to hold the comedians to it. We got to hold the promoter. Promoter got to hold us.
Speaker 3We got to level up. I think that's it, beba, that's it for now.
Speaker 2I don't think we have very much more. That actually sounded like a lot. G's Body Works is picking back up quite a bit. A lot of body work. Um, the thc oil is a massive hit oh yeah, it's doing great, it is massive. Uh, the feedback that we get from that oil is is amazing amazing yeah yeah, it's amazing I hate to get real excited. Oh, it's a miracle, it's, it's. You know it's not a miracle, but um helps you relax.
Speaker 2It is a great, great oil. It really worked out very nice and, uh, we'll be having to source a lot of shake and things like that so we can keep creating that oil and having on hand. Oh, we got some tattoos it on hand.
Speaker 3Oh, we got some tattoos.
Speaker 2Well, I did.
Speaker 3Well, pretty much. We got some tattoos because you know I don't have any. Yeah, your body is my canvas.
Speaker 2Yeah, I got two more Mac Miller tattoos on the leg and I finished up the little skeletal on the hand and I'm happy with all of it. Um, I don't recommend the. I don't recommend the hand no um, I have tattoos all over my body and, um, the hand is fine. It's the fingers and the fingers. The fingers aren't terrible either, it is closest to the cuticles.
Speaker 2It is the cuticles. And oh my God, yeah, it's not a fun thing to do to have your cuticles tattooed. Not at all, and I remember it because I had my thumbs done a long time ago, but I don't remember it being that goddamn bad. I must have smashed a thumb a lot more than I ever hurt these fingers or something, because, yeah, that was not good.
Speaker 3We were also able to give our friend some oil, our friend Joey.
Speaker 2Yeah, our friend Joey. Yeah, we got him some oil, we got him some edibles and we got him some infused olive oil. He was taking the olive oil Mm-hmm. He was taking the olive oil straight to the head raw, which is fine.
Speaker 3Yeah.
Speaker 2A couple teaspoons of it or whatnot, he's sleeping better, I'm told.
Speaker 1Yeah.
Speaker 2But you know they have hospice and everything out there, so I don't know.
Speaker 3Yeah.
Speaker 2I don't know. Rick didn't seem real, like there was a ton of time left yeah so you know, at least we can do.
Speaker 2We went over there. Oh, we took a man. We went and got a peach pie. Oh yeah, we were over there. We went over there to visit. I just wanted to go visit. I did his uh celebration of life. Uh, he wanted to have a party. Last year he was going through massive cancer treatments and stuff like that, which is ultimately what's taking him out. Right now he's not on those treatments anymore and I guess he's on hospice or something very similar. But I wanted to go visit him. I did a celebration of life for him. I DJed for him one night, for him and his family and friends. So we went and hung out and, you know, made things real light. You know, make people laugh. I was making him laugh, probably hurting him because of his torso and what he has going on with his rib cage and everything else in there.
Speaker 2But I didn't think to bring the stuff over to him initially right, but once we got there, we, you know, we were hearing things of, you know pain and uh, unable to sleep and, you know, not eating a ton and stuff like that. So I was like man, well, you know, I got this, I got this oil that it's amazing that I infused personally, um, from, and I also have this oil that I made personally olive oil infused. I said I'll bring some to you, and we were talking, and then, you know, you get to talk and laugh and somehow a peach cobbler came up. And then you know, obviously when peach cobbler comes up, then right that, um, marie calendars, peach pie has to answer the equation, right?
Speaker 2yeah uh, so that was the one of the days we went down to the parking garage to scout things out and we came back by marie calendars picked us up a pie, picked them up a pie, came back, grabbed some oils and stuff and went over to the shop, picked up some edibles for him and dropped him off and that was about it. That was about it. I've been checking on Rick and the family and stuff here and there, messaging him, making sure that they're okay and, you know, seeing how he's doing there if he needs any more, because I'll make more.
Speaker 1No, big deal.
Speaker 2Yeah, but that's it y'all. We don't really have much more than that. Uh, we hope to uh be back in a couple weeks. Uh post beats over the city, post havana night and probably post a comedy show. So we'll uh we'll be back the the week following march 15th probably, and uh update you all and let you know what's going on, how it went and and what's going on in our lives. Yeah, and we appreciate you guys listening in and joining and we hope you guys have a good life okay, bye.
