Faith Leap To A Mission Trip w/Dahlia Goldsmith

Eight women, one bathroom, a bush plane into a remote Alaska village, and a calling that felt way too expensive at first. I’m joined by my friend Dahlia Goldsmith as she shares what it really looked like to say yes to her first Christian mission trip while she was in the middle of transition, wrestling with feeling unworthy, and wondering if she was truly “ready” for God to use her. 

We talk through the moment Isaiah 43:19 kept coming up, how Matthew 6:33 challenged her to put God first even with real financial responsibilities, and how provision showed up through fundraising support and unexpected help along the way. Dahlia also opens up about the fears many women of faith carry quietly, the need for confirmation, and the relief of realizing you don’t have to be perfect to be obedient. 

From landing in Anchorage to navigating travel delays and stepping into village life, we reflect on team unity, daily devotion and communion, serving the community through VBS and women’s ministry, and why excellence still matters even when the numbers are smaller than expected. Dahlia shares the biggest takeaway she brought home: boldness, deeper trust, and a hunger to keep the overflow going long after the trip ends.

We're continuing this week on our series, The Missions Trip Journey. And today Delia will be sharing her um experiences with us so that you get a more fuller view of what happens on a mission strip. Okay, great. So uh hi everyone, I'm Delia Goldsmith. I live in South Florida right now. I'm Jamaican by birth. And professionally, I'm a business and financial service provider right now. But most of all, since we're talking about position for purpose and we're going to be talking a little bit about the mission strip, I love the Lord. I'm a daughter of the king, daughter of the most high. And of course, in terms of title, I'm a deaconess by title, but preferred to be referred to as servants, most of all. So just happy to be here to share some of the experiences. Hopefully, some of them we have a shared experience. Hopefully, some of it will overlap as I figure as much it would. So thanks for having me.

Saying Yes During A Life Transition

on. So, Dana, let's jump right into it. What made you say yes and apply to go on the mission trip?

SPEAKER_00 2:17

Oh, yeah, that's for the mission trip. Yeah, this is crazy because it's my actual my first mission trip. I've done events locally, I've done church events here. And you know, so that's not new, but going out and venturing out and really saying you're going on mission, this is really new. And it really was my first time. But again, it goes back to time. Since January, I would say I've been, I mean, I've just been going through a lot of transition. And one of the things that kept, one of the verse that kept coming to me, kept coming to me was Isaiah. I think it was Isaiah, I don't remember the actual verse now, but it really was speaking to, you know, can't you see I'm doing a new thing? You know, and he just kept coming over and over that, you know, God is doing something new. And and so I knew I wanted to do something different. Lo and behold, I went in one day to my apostle, and you know, she was praying for me, and she said, you know, God is really willing and and he wants to give you the desires of your heart, but you also need to know what that is. And I, you know, I really started crying because I said, Yes, Lord, I I really don't know what I want right now. You know, I'm really just going through a transition. So the opportunity came up. I became part of the lighthouse virtual community, women's group. And one day with Fran, one of the transformation team leads, she came on and she presented to about the the trip to Alaska. I always wanted to do the Alaska trip, not actually the cruise with Charles Stanley, because he's a great teacher I used to follow a long time ago. And I always said, you know, I'd love to go to Alaska on that mission cruise. And then when she said she spoke about going to the mission and all that, I, you know, it it something leaped in my spirit, but I pushed it aside because I said, you know what, that's gonna be expensive. So I sort of pushed aside and didn't really give it another thought. Until again, I think we were having talks again. I think with you, Colette, and we're saying, you know, I put in the application and I am going. And I said, but I want to go. You said you should put in the application and see if they accept you, which I did. And happily the rest is history because I put in the application and it came back that she said the team lead said yes without even saying, without even saying yes. She just sent sent an email to say, hey, you're part of an introductory team and planning team. So I automatically knew I was accepted. And I just got excited from there on. So that's how it actually started of me just being able to go on this trip.

Awesome. Daily, a couple of nuggets that I picked out of that is the transition period that we were in, and then in that transition period, the Lord gave your word from Isaiah 43, 19.

And you think now it springs up. Do you not in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland? And then your apostle just called out something to say that the Lord wants to do that for you, but you need to also know where you are and what you want. And so all I see is just these things just working in tandem. So your obedience to apply open the door for you because the Lord had already given you a word that you could apply to anything, but at that time, that was the opportunity that presented itself. So, you know, it's just a reminder

Feeling Unready And Finding Confirmation

that we just have to move when God when God instructs us instructs us, because I'm sure there are things that would have would have me.

Yeah. Yeah. Yes, definitely. Yeah, so yeah, I I mean there's a lot to unpack there because one of the things that I think about is yes, you know, God wants to give me desires of my heart, but am I ready? So I was really feeling that sense of unworthiness. I'm not ready, you know, I'm not speaking in tongues, not equipped in that way. Am I enough? Type of thing. But you know how God works, He works in mysterious ways. You know, He uses a lot of times the foolish things to confound the wise. And one of our glow leaders, she had sent out, she did a podcast actually. She shared it with me. And it was just speaking about a lot of my fears in terms of saying, you know, you're enough and you're valued, and just stepping out. So, you know, to me, that was like a confirmation coming again to say you don't have to be perfect, you don't have to have it all together for God to use you in that regard. So I was like, you know what? This really is just a great opportunity to build my faith and to step out there and just to do, and just to put God, God, God first. And that's one of the things too, we'll talk more about because I really want to touch on putting God first, you know, and how he works in that regard. Go ahead with that.

Seeking God First When Money Is Tight

Yeah. So one of the things I was doing my devotion one day, and I was reading through, I think was one of the position for purpose devotion that I was going through. And one of it came up to me, I'd talk about first things first, and it really resonated with me because it was talking about you know, seeking first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all things will be added, added to you as well. And you know, that is coming out of Matthew 6. And I'm like, you know what? My situation, given, you know, financially, I'm saying, you know, I can't afford this trip at this time, I have responsibilities, all of that. And you know, this scripture really reminded me that we really need to trust God and to put him first, and he'll take care of the rest. And so I was getting a lot of confirmation, a lot of encouragement in his word along the way while I was pondering, while I put in the application and was being processed. So God was there bolstering me and strengthening me in ways that I didn't even realize he was doing. So really it was it was about is a faith, it was a faith leap, I would say, because you know, I was really saying, you know, God, I would I just want to be obedient and do your work and leave everything else to you. You know, the bills are gonna come, the bills are gonna be there, but I'm just gonna be faithful and and take this leap of faith, so to speak.

So you applied Master 633, which talks about seeking first the kingdom of God, and you you you you you followed up by even talking about not having the the finances to be able to go and see how God provided, because he says, as you seek first his kingdom, everything is would have been provided.

Fundraising Stories And God’s Provision

And then we know how God provided.

Oh yes, oh yes, he did provide, he did provide, he showed up, he showed out in so many ways. I tell you, Colette, and views. I was doing uh a fundraiser for my church just week, like a month prior, and I could not get any any donations. I was I I'd sent out invitations, I sent out flyers, you know, just send out notes for persons to donate, small donations that is $10, $20, whatever they had. And I was not getting any feedback, I wasn't getting any hits at all, you know. And then once I decided to go on a mission trip and started to fundraise, which at this time, you know, we were at the tail end of the application process. So we didn't have a lot of time to fundraise. Now there's so much to talk about, but that's one of the things. And then once I started telling my family members and friends about this mission trip and I want to go and I'm going, they got excited for me. And I, in no time, I think if two of my two of my family members alone could have paid for the the initial deposit and trip to to go. So in that in itself to me was God saying, you know, yes, go ahead. This is what I, you know, this is the way walking it type of thing. So I'm like, I was really excited, excited about going. And from the get-go, that was such an encouragement to know that I had you know persons behind me supporting me and cheering me on in that regard. And I know it was just they, I just I just know it was just God working in that regard to say, hey, go ahead and provide in, I'm making provision. I'm making provision here.

That along all along this journey of our conversation, right? You've just been talking about the word of God and how God really just backs up his word, he backs word because he says seek him, and then you saw the provisions, and then I forgot to say that I applied late, but I forget that when we applied, actually, we weren't really at the telling we had last time to raise to raise the funds, and God knows you in your hesitation, my hesitation, and and he wouldn't feel like he was just saying, I'm just waiting to see how you're gonna come to the end of your stuff before you understand. This is where you have to go.

I know we serve a God that that that that really operates and work in the hard things, you know. Sometimes we we forget that he, you know, nothing is impossible with him. And he specializes in the hard things. So, you know, we're at the end of our road, but he he already prepared everything in advance for us because he knew what you know was in the pipeline. So very exciting, exciting times during that time, really, and just the provisions, you know, so much we could talk about in terms of the how he laid that foundation. One of the things that I shared too was when I went to one of my family members and told her, one of my sisters actually, she said, Hey, you know, I can get you a body pass to go. And I was like, sure. But that in itself is a whole story and a whole testimony by itself. But one of the things that came out of God that is that not only did it strengthen my faith, it also served, and that's how God works. He used one thing and he just multiplies it because he's using it to strengthen my faith, he's using it to strengthen my kids' faith, he's using it to bless my sister in the process of doing that, and because you know standby, how crazy that is and how unpredictable that is, and God was just there showing up, showing up, and just showing out in all of it, just open and clearing the way for us to get to the destination. So, you know, just just was very excited about God doing so much to to for us to get to where we need to get to.

Yes. I like you know how you lac it that out of it, right? Or faith was being built because we see the way how the Lord showed up in terms of the flying standby, the hands for what we needed to make that down payment and all the other little things that we saw God provided. Even in this, it wasn't it wasn't just a desire to go. The Lord wanted to show us that He was sending us because that's the word He needed. It is that we're saying that we wanted to go just because we want to go experience Alaska or we had a desire to go because you and I both had a desire to go. You wanted to go on a cruise. I just wanted to flag him because I always hear about the snow-tapped mountains, and so I wanted to see that, but God knew that there was a time that we're going to go, and it wasn't it wasn't for the reasons that we thought, but for all the excellences that we wanted, he knew that we would have done it. So he's good.

Certainly, certainly, I must say, you know, he goes before us and he makes the provision, and he does it better than we could ever do it in our own will and might, right? So you know, just waiting on God is so important in all that we do, and just putting him first makes a lot of difference in the experiences.

Yes, it does. What stood out most to you about your journey regarding the team, the community, and what was your overall

First Look At Alaska And Anchorage

experience? Oh, that's that's a loading question. Before we get there, what was because it was your desire as well to see Alaska, what was your first uh what can I word? Can I put it? What was your first impression of where we were in Anchorage, of Anchorage before you get to point two?

Oh my, it was so beautiful. That scenery from from the aerial view was absolutely beautiful. It was breathtaking to to be going in there, and you know, it was really and as you said before, the trip because my mindset was on exploration, I didn't see it as a vacation. My mindset was different, so I really didn't dive in a lot, but the landing there and just that was really great. I you know, I did my research, a team leader had spoken to us and gave us ideas on what to look out for and what to expect. You know, coming from Florida, you know, it's gonna be a totally different scenery. But it was actually beautiful and happy, you know, because as you said, we're mission focused. A lot of the the tourists, so to speak, things was not in my in my viewpoint at all, but more just saying. But at the same time, knowing that it's such a beautiful thing and it's different, you know, it's actually different from what we're used to. And even when we went to the actual village, that's that's a whole totally different uh, you know, it was really phenomenal.

Delays Prayer And The Bush Plane Ride

it like getting to the village?

SPEAKER_00 17:12

Oh, that you know, with all the ups and downs, the travel, the delays, the the the the the weather patterns, everything, and just the constant prior and intercession for that, you know, we just saw God again working and does what he does. And we went on that bush pain. That was another experience. That was really an adventure. We were so scared. We had a really young, very young pilot, but he was so good. His landing, we we and we were just like, oh my god, you are so good. He he when he landed a plane, it was so smooth. I said, Oh, you're even much better than those commercial pilots. You gave us a real good landing, and he was so appreciative because he was very young and he was very capable. So that was very exciting. You know, we had some fears, but of course it was a very exciting time just to be on the bush plane and and getting into into the remote village.

Um yes. I mean, it was the airline was absolutely brilliant.

Yes, it was breathtaking, yes, it was. It was.

And as you said, you know, just just just landing there, it was it was beautiful. So God just was just giving us all that, all that we needed. Uh so what stood out to you most about either the theme, the community, or the overall experience?

Village Life Team Unity And Daily Devotion

Okay, so there are a lot of a lot of areas that I could actually look at. One of the things that that stood out for me is that once we went there, the hospitality was great, our hosts, they were very, very great. They really look out for us in terms of accommodation. The thing is, when our team leads spoke to us about the accommodation, we I think once we get there, it far exceeded what we expected. We I think it's good sometime to underpromise and then we go, you know, over deliver. And I think that's what happened because I was looking for basic, basic accommodation, and they really went out of their way to make us comfortable, make us warm. That's one of the things, because of course it was very cold, and we were talking, oh, you need to get a stuff because it's gonna be 24-hour daylight. That's another phenomenon is 24-7 daylight. And I thought I would never get to sleep, and but we were so tired. We we worked so hard that we were so tired that that didn't stop us from sleeping in any way. And uh one of the things that one of the main, main things that stole to me was the fact that we had eight ladies, eight ladies and one bathroom. I one our team lead actually asked to report, and that was what I started with. Eight women, one bathroom. That sounds like a setup for disaster, right? But it was beautiful. I mean, I think because the women, you know, we had that oneness, we were mature women of God, and we knew what we were there for. We it it worked all out, it worked out so well that it was it's amazing that you know a woman can actually coexist like that, sharing one bathroom, and we didn't we didn't scratch each other's eyes out or whatever. We're very accommodating, and people would get out of the bathrooms or so if you had an emergency. But you know, the things that we take for granted is one of the things that I that that stood out again because of the one bathroom. And even just taking a shower, the things we take for granted. You know, I uh I tried not to complain so much anymore because we live in luxury, the the things that sometimes we complain that we don't have, we realize that we have more than enough. And it's it was just an amazing time to share with the ladies. They're so gifted. Everybody's talented in their own way, they have different personalities, but we knew what we were there for. It wasn't about us at any point, it was about, you know, coming to support and undergird the pastor and his wife and the community and to have VBS with the children, just to have them memorize their verses and just long and touch on them and the women, just to rekindle and just to worship with them and just to pray with them and just to leave a lasting impression of the love of God with them. So, yeah, that was really great, great. For me. I really loved the camaraderie with the women on the team. We had eight of us. And one of the things that we did every morning, we had devotion. That was one of the things that stood out so much to me. We had devotion. Not only did we take turns to the devotion, we also had communion. Every morning we had communion. And we just took the time out to set aside just to command the mornings and the day ahead. And it really made a lot of difference in how the Holy Spirit worked. Maybe whoever was presenting at that particular time, they come with a message. There was a song that was on somebody else's heart. And it's just that whole, the Holy Spirit was at work, and I and we saw it. And even in the planning of everything, we're able to, the Holy Spirit was able to lead and to give us wisdom as we move through the days and all the different challenges that we would have faced during that time.

But for the most part, we we we know each other, but we've never been in that close space before. So it's interesting to know them, understanding each person, and then making it work. So as you said, even in terms of the accommodations and stuff, some of the things that we take for granted, and you know, and we murmur and we complain about the opportunity for us to be to be grateful about what God has provided. And to the choice to be joyful, even in where we are, you live in your own home, you're nice, comfortable bed, you do this, you do that, the things you would normally do. And you're here. Listen, one of the things, never miss the TV. Yeah, I didn't. Days after, before I might I said, Oh my word, I haven't turned the television on because you got so accustomed to not watching it, just being in God's presence, being with his people. Yeah, there was no need for that any at all. But there wasn't any dear. Well, maybe there was no we didn't have time for that actually.

Our days were full, full, full, full of activity. So by the time it's time to sleep, we were so tired we would not have time to watch um TV anyway. And yeah, so I was happy for that. I was really happy for that.

Excellence Without The Numbers You Expected

All right, so what lessons, if any, did you learn from the truth?

SPEAKER_00 25:01

Uh, so many. I mean, preparation is key. I I really think we prepared one of the things we talk about, you know, numbers. I don't I don't know if we talk about numbers. We were expecting X amount of of students to come in, X amount of women, but that didn't happen. There were other things that was happening. But we have to also realize, and we come to realize that, you know, God was doing something different. And one of the things, the main, main thing I saw, apart from the whole faithfulness, building my faith and all of that, I saw the walk of obedience was being very, very important to this. And that's what sometimes God don't really, because God don't really need us to do anything. God really don't need us to do certain things, you know, but he just wants us to carry out certain things more than everything, more, you know, just to be obedient. And he just wanted to walk, walk, walk through some of the stuff. He will do the rest. He will, whatever we had planned, we had to execute, and we executed, and that was what we went there for. One of the things we had line up, some of the stuff we had to change because it didn't make sense. Like, I mean, remember I was supposed to do an icebreaker. You can only do an icebreaker of that magnitude with a lot of people for it to make sense. But the team lead, they and everything we went through the entire panned schedule activities as if we had a full gamut of who we had expected. We didn't shortchange the the children, we didn't the night with the king for the ladies' night, we went all out. It was so beautiful. And we we did it, and and that is one of the things that stood out to me that we just need to be obedient. And and what while I was reflecting on that, I remember you had planned a luncheon once, and you were not getting the numbers, and we were doing and we're saying, and you know, and we decided we're gonna go ahead and plan as if we're getting that the numbers are there, and that's exactly what we did, and people came, and they came. And to me, that just reminds me of the thing that you know we talk about preparation, how God prepares us, and because we know it's not about us, if God had given us the instruction and say, do this and to go ahead to do a particular thing. Go ahead and do it and do it with excellence, go ahead and do it in obedience and let God take care of the rest. And that's what he did on this trip. So we had that experience to to tell us that we just need to plan as if and let God do the rest. So that I'm um I was happy for. So just to share oneness, as you as you said, you know, it was just the Holy Spirit at work, and it was happy to be a part of that experience. How every person uh, you know, was coming in, and how we're able to fill certain gaps that there was, and just to confirm what the Lord was saying as it relates to what we need to do and his people.

I didn't listen to the episode yesterday, but just hearing you say that we didn't shortchange them, we showed up in excellence what we had planned. It was it was carried out, executed just the same way. Because you know, sometimes it can be to say, Oh, we don't have the numbers, so let's just do less than what we planned. We went all out in everything in the VBS and Nightwith the King, everything that we had planned to do.

Yes, we did, yeah. So and that's us then that's it, the good thing about it, because you know, we have this shared experience, that's what we saw, and that's what we did. So that's what we know, and that's what we're speaking, because that's what really happened. I remember was talking to our team lead, and you know, she felt a little bit, she said, Oh, you know, I'm really sorry for the new persons that came on and didn't get a chance to really get the you know, the numbers that we normally get and whatever. And and I said to her, you know, it really wasn't about the numbers. I really felt, you know, the experience was very rich in itself. And it wasn't about the number of students and number of ladies, it was it was the deeper interaction that we have and the fact that we were obedient to what God wanted us to do. And she said, yes. I said, numbers will come. Sometimes we have numbers and you don't get to impact this the the audience as as you want to. We had less students, so we were able to give them more time. We were able to customize a lot of the the prayers and the activities to them. So the quality of it and the richness of the experience was more, and again, go back to the whole thing of it's not about what we're doing because God is gonna compound that anyway, you know, he's gonna work through all of that in his own time and space, amen with that, amen with that, and that leads me to ask you the two last questions.

Boldness After The Trip Comes Home

question first. What message did you leave with in your heart? So I know before you said the lesson that you learned was on obedience, but what other what message did you leave within your heart?

SPEAKER_00 30:56

I I again we talk about the obedience and the the what the faith that it really builds my faith. It builds the fact that the boldness, which I'm not, I don't I like to stay in my comfort zone. I don't like to be upfront and doing stuff. The mission really builds my confidence in that way. I remember I was able to share one of my testimonies publicly for the first time, even when we went in the airports and in the community praying for people. That's that's stuff I don't typically would do, but I think it gave me that extra boldness, the fact that we were together, and you know, you know, they said that unity builds strength, and the fact that we had, we're just coming out of that this whole experience, it really gave me that boldness. So just knowing that I can do more and uh God can use me more, I think was one of the the things that stood out to me in from this trip. Just to do more. And one of my priority too was that, you know, Lord, even coming out of the because I was we were so immersed with the with thus being under the word and the anointing and everything to to to let that overflow continue even when we got home. And it and it did. It did. I I it was so easy to get into that place of worship once I got home. I remember I came home, my pastor sent me a scriptural lesson to read the next Sunday, and it was the very lesson that we we we did, and that I'd spoken about when we started about Matthew, Matthew 6. He gave me Matthew 6 that scripture to read that Sunday. So I you know, it just had me in tears because it was really talking about seeking God first and the fact that He provides for His children, He provides for the birds and the bees. Why would not us? And I'm saying, God, you know, you you know the Holy Spirit is just so wonderful, and I'm just thankful for that and hope I don't leave that place and go back, you know, it's just moving forward more than anything else into the things of God.

Well, Daniel, I am so thankful that you said yes to the podcast, and so that's also taking you out of your comfort zone. Um yeah, so your message is one of obedience, one of faith, one of God, building confidence. And what I like is that the Lord started you off with Matthew 6 33, and when you got home, the Lord still gave you back that same text be that church. Because it's a report that yes, I'm gonna take care of you as you go, but when you return, I'm still gonna take care of you, right? And and then these opportunities that he's giving you now as well to continue to build your confidence because you have so much to offer, my friend, and that is something that you that that you know. So just seeing you just coming out of your comfort zone and just showing up like that. I am so happy and I'm so proud of what you're doing. And so, this is my last question that I wanted to leave you with our audience is how would you encourage someone who feels God is calling them to go on a missionary journey or God is calling them to do something that they've never

How To Discern A Call To Go

done before?

Encourage that person. Oh wow, um well, one of the things I would say, you know, timing is important, one, and if they so feel led that God is calling them again to just continue praying. I would say pray, seek, seek God's face and seek for confirmation because we want to make sure, because going out on a mission trip is not a serious business. So we need to really pray and know that we're in alignment with God's purpose and will for our life. So I would say seek seek God's face, seek help. And one of the things I would look at too is look at who you're going with. If you're going on a mission trip, just don't go with anybody. See who is going, who is leading the team, and make sure that they are capable, they're able, they're anointed, they're appointed, because you don't want to be out there and be quote unquote stranded. You want to go with people that are covered and know what they're doing, they're professional and experienced and are walking with oneness with God because you want to make sure you also have a community. It says that uh Christians were really never designed uh to walk this journey alone. So community is very important as you go out to minister like that. You need to have intercessors really reaching out and covering you, covering you, and really just trust in the Lord. You know, again, as you pray, go to the word and trust in the Lord that He will actually provide and make sure that this is the way that you need to walk in and not just allowing you to just walk by yourself. But I would say go for it, you know, go for it because you know, as as I said in the beginning, it's not about being perfect, you know. I don't speak in tongues, I don't consider myself a prayer warrior or anything, but you you can also be even in a supportive role. And once you're obedient, God will fill and he'll do the rest. That he just wants us to activate that faith and we will take care of the rest. So I would encourage anybody who's looking at that. One of the things to Fran, I don't know if I mentioned that. Fran had mentioned that she did a she has a source of income that is dedicated to missions alone. So she has a fund. She does like jewelry or other stuff, and that she dedicates, she says, Lord, this is your fund, this is missions fund. So she has a separate funding that she used to provide sponsorship to persons that are going on a mission trip, and for her to be of great support in the mission field, providing supplies and all of that. So that too, I would say to anybody who's looking at that, to start looking at having additional funding source to fund others that are going, and if you yourself want to go.

And as we we leave this podcast today, Father, I want to lift up Colette in particular, Lord. Thank you for her obedience, Lord. Thank you that she's a praying woman. Thank you that she is positioned for purpose and she continues to empower women. She empowers me definitely. She's my go-to. Thank you that you are part of her destiny helping team, Lord. But I look to her for her support and her prayers, Lord. And I thank you for her. And for the woman listening, and anybody that's listening today, Father, we just want to lift them up, Father. We want to want to remind them that you are faithful. You're you're a faithful God, you're merciful, you're dependable, Lord. And you you you do, you give us the desires of our hearts, Lord Jesus. We just have to reach to you. And you said, put first things first and seek you, Lord. Help us to seek you, Lord. Seek you first, Lord. And we go back to basics, Lord. Just praying, praying, praying, being in the word, Lord. Just help us as we move forward, Lord, to put your things first and you will add everything to us, Father. Prioritize the things of the Lord, and He will give you desires of your heart. That's the main prior we pray today, Lord. Cover each woman out there, Lord, that is looking and searching, Lord, and seeking you, Lord, as their refuge and their strength. Continue to cover us, Lord, as we go forth in this time. Give us strength, Lord, and build our faith, Lord. Help us to be obedient to you in Jesus' name. Pray. Amen.
