Today, we're going to continue our You Can Only Choose One series with You Can Only Choose One Disneyland Park. Heading to the West Coast. It's so fun. And as I was going through it, I was just talking to my dad earlier today about going through the notes and going through everything. And that now this makes me, not that I don't already want to go to Disneyland, but this really makes me want to go back to Disneyland, going through all of the, all of the different areas of the park and picking things out. When, as I was going through menus and all the like special 70th anniversary, this, this, this, and this, it's like, oh, they have so many like special offerings right now. I know. I actually think one of my things, even though it's only 70th anniversary, I think I picked a menu that was 70th anniversary just because it was amazing. And I was like, oh, it's fine. Okay, so you ready to get started? Yes. We're going to start on Main Street. There are so many options. Just as a reminder, we pick a ride, a food, a snack, and an attraction. So for my ride, I am just picking any of the Main Street vehicles. It's such a vibe. You have the carriage, the fire engine, the horse-drawn streetcars. and the Omnibus. So if you can get a chance, I feel like you need to do this at least once. Yeah, it's super fun. Food. Warning you all now, it is very hard to narrow down food at Disneyland for me. Starting off strong, picking two already because I'm going to pick the Carnation Cafe and the Plaza Inn. The Plaza Inn is a character meal and you need a reservation for it. So if you don't have a reservation, that's why I'm picking Carnation as well. So the Plaza Inn, as I said, is my most favorite character meal on property. It's a buffet with Minnie and friends. You come in and meet Minnie and get a picture, and then you can sit and eat. One time, Minnie was having issues in the kitchen, so Daisy was meeting. But then after we ate, we got back in line and met Minnie after our meal. So we had double. You never know who's going to meet here, but it kind of seems to be like two different groups of characters. One time we had Max, Captain Hook, Fairy Godmother, Eeyore, Tigger, Del, and of course, Minnie. And then another time it was Del, Perla, and Susie, Cinderella's girl mice, Pluto, Tigger, Daisy, Pooh, and then Minnie again. So, you never know who you're going to meet, but I feel like there's always a couple of very rare interactions. But it's just your standard breakfast buffet. Carnation Cafe. For the vibes, the parmesan toasted patty melt served with fruit or seasoned fries was really calling out to me this time. This is a great spot if you can get there and ask for the pergola during the parade. So, If you get there a little before a parade starts and then ask to be seated out there, it's not always a guarantee, but a little fun tip. Is that quick service or table service? It's more of a table. Okay. But do you need reservations for that one typically? You don't typically need reservations. Is it kind of like a polite pig situation? Like a hybrid? Yeah. And I just feel like most of the places at Disneyland you don't really need an advanced reservation. They can usually squeeze you in on a walk-up just because no one does like sit-downs. So there are a couple that You can, like, if you really want it, get a reservation, especially character meals. But for the most part, you can just get a walk-up. For my snack, it very much depends on what you're feeling. Sweet, salty, savory. There are so many carts right here. There's the Red Wagon that's famous for the corndog. The Jolly Holiday is known for the raspberry rose Mickey macaron. There's just so many options depending on what you're feeling. So pick a cart and go there. Go to all of them. Oh, yes. Yes. And we've done that. We sat down at one of the little tables in the main street and came back with about eight different things from each eight different locations and just shared it. Reese was on a 10 p.m. high and the other two were sleeping in the shoulder. And it was just very nice. Attraction. I'm picking shopping. Duh. The Emporium and all the shops down the street can't be beat. So for me... Similar to what Crystal said, really any of the options along Main Street are the absolute best. Of note, just so that if you've never been to Disneyland, no reservations are needed for the omnibus, the carriages, the fire truck, any of those things. But it's a one-way trip from one end of Main Street to the other. And you just have to wait in line. It's kind of first come, first serve. So you find the spot where the sign is and you just get on from there. And then also, they aren't wheelchair accessible. So if you have someone that's in a wheelchair or an ECV, they just need to be able to get from their wheelchair or ECV onto the vehicle and ride. 99% of the time, I'm going to pick a character meal, sit down. So I would pick, if I were going to do that, I would definitely want to do the Plaza Inn. I've never done it before. And it would be on my bucket list to be able to do it. However, if I'm just wanting to grab something from a quick service, there is a gluten-free toasted cheese sandwich from the Jolly Holiday Bakery that every time I look at that menu, I want it. So I definitely would be grabbing one of those. I would stick with Jolly Holiday for my snack as well because they have gluten-free chocolate chip cookies that I would love to be able to have. And for my attraction, I decided on doing the Paint the Night Parade. And if it can be timed right, I know it would probably be, I might be wearing some rose colored glasses here that the timing may not work out or both of them may not be happening. But if they're both happening and the timing is right, doing the Paint the Night Parade and the Wondrous Journey fireworks, because Paint the Night, I think, is at like earlier, like maybe an hour, hour and a half before the The fireworks. So if you're on Main Street and you're kind of in that spot where you find a spot there, you can camp out there and then wait for the fireworks afterwards. Do you think that would work? Disneyland expert? Yeah. Especially right now, everybody's wanting paint the night parade places to sit. So you're probably camping out anyway. Yeah. Send a runner to get your food and snacks.
UNKNOWN:Yeah.
SPEAKER_00:Everything that I've seen is that a really good spot next to Jolly Holiday Bakery. Because it's in a spot right there that's on the corner. That's a good spot on Main Street. Yeah, especially with their firework projections. They have projections all down Main Street. So if you can be in a spot to see the castle, but also see what's going on down Main Street, that's a great spot. Okay, so we're going to move over to Adventureland. For me, I'm going to pick Jungle Cruise. I can't help it. Jungle Cruise is just like such a nostalgic ride that Walt put so much into it. So that would be my ride that I would pick if I had to choose one of them. For food, they have Bengal barbecue and they have these skewers there that are gluten-free. And so I would do the Bengal rice plate and get, you have the choice of picking two of the skewers. So I would pick the chicken skewer and the steak skewer. They look delish. And that's just served on a bed of rice. For my snack, I'm going to do a Dole Whip Swirl from Tropical Hideaway and then go to the Tiki Room for my attraction. I don't think you're supposed to take Dole Whip in there, but I think we've seen people do it. I'm pretty sure I've snuck some in at Walt Disney World. I don't know if they do that. We love to do that. We love to get Dole Whip and then go to Tiki Room right after. It's flanked by Dole Whip. Before you come in and when you leave. Exactly. For my ride in Adventureland, I'm doing Indiana Jones Adventure. Hands down. It's one of my favorites. Fun fact, they just added single rider. So if you're heading out there anytime soon, look that up. Food, I'm also going to Bengal BBQ and also getting the Bengal rice plate. It's just such a great protein option, which I feel like can be hard to find in theme parks. So this is a good place to grab a quick bite. snack, I'm also getting the Dole Whip. There are a few places to grab it. Like I said, check the menus. Usually the juice bar before you go in the tiki room just has like the OG and then the tropical hideaway has the specialty and the tropical hideaways where like all the tables are behind the tiki room. And I'm also going to the tiki room. John claims it's too loud to sleep, but I've seen sleepers in there. So it's dark. It's cool. And the birds were worked on by Walt. So that's iconic. Yeah. It was the first animatronic of its kind. He like that laid the groundwork for all the other animatronics that we see today. So I just think it's amazing that they still have them and that they still work. That's amazing. All right. Let's move on to New Orleans Square. My ride Pirates of the Caribbean and I can smell the water now. It's the superior version. It's like five minutes longer than Walt Disney World has two drops and They had an interim dining lane here for a minute while Tiana's was being worked on, but it just barely went away. So prepare accordingly. The line can look long, but it usually goes pretty quickly. Food. Tiana's Place. I've tried three different things on this menu and they were all really good. I ordered the muffaletta sandwich. John and my father-in-law got the jambalaya and house gumbo and they were all delicious. Probably one of the best. It's like a quick service, but they have tables, sit down meals that we had our entire trip. So I feel like that's a must. snack. You've got to go to the mint julep bar for a drink and Mickey beignets. And then for my attraction, I'm going to hop on the train. This is a good little stop. This train experience is different than Walt Disney World. There's some surprise little things. So ride it all the way around. So I also am going to do Pirates of the Caribbean, but I would rather do the sit down at Blue Bayou and do the Fantasmic package. So I was looking, Fantasmic is kind of on the bubble between New Orleans and frontier land. It's kind of, it's encompassing all of it. Yeah. Yeah. So for me, all of this kind of, I've kind of had a themed going with it. So I put everything in, I did all of the stuff I had. So I did pirates for my ride, blue Bayou, and I did the phantasmic package. And then they also have a prefix meal for the 70th anniversary that has a salad. It has ribeye steak, and prawns with Western butter and then a chocolate chip mousse as a dessert. Yum. Yeah. That's why I was like, I don't think that I can pass that up. I know that's not a typical, but that's what I would pick now. And then they also have shaved ice at the Royal street veranda. It's a, just a little quick service. They have house-made flavors there and you can pick two up to two for your shaved ice. And I would pick coconut and pineapple flavors for mine as Still sticking probably a little bit with the Dole Whip flavor, but I can't help it. And for my attraction, I chose Fantasmic. The entrance area is kind of in the New Orleans Square section, but it also kind of goes over into Frontierland. So it could be in either one, but I chose it for my New Orleans attraction. Moving over to Bayou Country, those of you that have known Disneyland for a a while. It used to be Critter Country, but now since they have Tiana's over there, they've renamed it. I am going to ride Tiana's Bayou Adventure. For my food, I'm going to pick the Hungry Bear Barbecue Jamboree and get the barbecue salad. It looks so good. It's chopped brisket, romaine, and kale mixed greens, cucumbers, carrots, corn rib, and chili lime vinaigrette. Yum-oh. I need that. It looks so good. Like I was, when I was looking through the menus, I was like, I want that like right now. And then for my snack, I am going to go over to Pooh's Corner and I'd really like to try the churro toffee because Crystal talks about it like all the time and she loves it. So I definitely want to try it. I've just never had it before. But if I were going with something that's like a tried and true, I'm going to get a Mickey Rice Krispie treat because it's, you know, dipped in chocolate, It's just like so good. And so it's just easy. And it's just one of my simple treats that I love. And then my attraction, it's not, I don't know that it's necessarily an attraction, but stay in Pooh's Corner because they're shopping there. And I just cannot pass up any Pooh merchandise, even if I don't necessarily buy the entire store, just walking around in there. I don't know. There's just like this calming sensation that you get when you're around it. He's just the best. They have so many things going in that little store too. You can sit and watch them make the dipped apples. Like mesmerizing because they have the window there and you can just sit and watch them. For my picks in Bayou Country, I'm also going to ride Tiana's. Lots of great memories on this. When it was Splash, I was sad. It was still closed when we were there in September. So I haven't experienced Tiana's out there yet. Food. Harbor Galley. It is kind of a looked over little place. It's across from the exit of Haunted Mansion. It sits against the river and there's a little spot behind the building where there are a few tables and you can watch the boats from Tiana's come down. They have a really good clam chowder and a sourdough bread bowl that is so good. But they also have a really good shrimp roll or a steak salad if you're not into the fish. Yum. Snack, of course, churro toffee from Pooh's Corner. And then my attraction is a little different here. But there are some really nice bathrooms. Under the Hungry Bear, just outside. Just hang with me here. Just outside of the bathroom area, there are some really nice benches just to sit and watch the riverboat, the canoes, or just to sit peacefully. You could also sit and watch the boats from Tiana's. I found myself over here a few times with a tired Reese in a stroller because it felt tucked away and just quiet. There's that whole path back to Galaxy's Edge, and I just don't feel like it's the most popular path because it's longer than going the other way. Yeah. So around and that's just what people just don't go that way. They go back the other way. Yeah. So it's just like a tucked away corner. And it's so fun just to sit and watch like the canoes as they're out there trying to people trying to row. They've never been on a canoe before. So people watching is my attraction. That is something I think that we don't get to do enough or we probably choose not to do enough is just sit. Yeah. Take it in. And one of these days I had chosen not to ride Rise of the Resistance. just because it's copy and paste of the Walt Disney World version. And I didn't want to pay extra. And so it was nice just to like sit with Reese and let her sleep and I could just kind of roam. And I had a minute where I didn't have a schedule. So thank you, Reese. Are those the, is it the, is it Davy Crockett canoes? Is that what they're called? Yeah. Those look, those look hilarious. It's funny that they still run them, but they do. I know. I thought the same thing. So speaking of Galaxy's Edge, let's move over there. My ride of the ones in there, I will choose Rise of the Resistance. It's fun, but it's not a Star Wars person. So with the rider switch, it's just not worth my time. If you've never ridden it before, you gotta ride it. Food, I'm going Toronto Roasters. The wrap from this location has always been really good when I've gotten it, which can't be said for Walt Disney World. So if you've had Walt Disney World and it felt dry, try the Disneyland one. I don't know why that is. Probably something to do with churros. Who knows? Yeah. Anybody that's a baker knows that the temperature and humidity levels where you are can make a huge difference in how the cake or whatever it is turns out. It can make a big difference. And so I really do think that that has something to do with it. Snack. I have not done this yet, this episode. If you know me, I've got to get my Diet Coke and the Fun Droid bottle because... That's the place to get it. So that's my snack. And then my attraction, I'm going to mess with the stormtroopers because that's always fun. They also have their own kind of little viewing area for the fireworks. They call it Fire of the Rising Moons around 930. So you just catch a different view of the park fireworks display. So that's kind of cool over their rocks. I don't know if we've mentioned this yet, but fireworks at Disneyland are only on the weekends. So be prepared for that. I would choose, for Galaxy's Edge, I would choose Smuggler's Run. I am a Star Wars person. I love Star Wars. And Millennium Falcon is just iconic. So I love doing that. I've never been one of the pilots. So one day, maybe if I go without children, I might be able to push my way up to the front. I'm always a gunner or pilot. What's the other one? There's the mechanic or whatever they are. The engineer and you're just button mashing. Yeah, you're just doing nothing. But it is fun to watch when my girls get a chance to be the pilot. It's fun to watch them trying to maneuver everything. Does a sprint not make you sick? I have to have Dramamine and my relief band on. Yeah. If I didn't have that, then yes, it would make me very sick. And there are some times where I think there's a couple of like when they dive, when they go like straight down. I have to shut my eyes during part of it because of that. I'm curious about if it would be worse if you're a pilot. No, no, that's a good question. Because, you know, when you're like driving a car, you don't get car sickness whenever, you know, as much as you do when you're a passenger. So I wonder that might make a difference. But I also have to do the same thing. Like I love doing star tours and I have to do that sometimes with star tours. I have to shut my eyes because it's very similar feeling. My body is like, you're not actually moving, but your eyes are telling you that you're moving, but your brain is like, you're not. And it just messes with me. For my food, I'm going to do Docking Bay 7. I did look. They don't really have a gluten-free version of the Ronto Wrap at Disneyland. So I'm going to head over to Docking Bay 7. They have what's called an Andorian chicken salad. It has marinated chicken, mixed grains, roasted seasonal vegetables, quinoa, pumpkin seeds, and a green curry ranch dressing. And it is on the gluten-free menu for those of you that are wondering. For my snack, I will do popcorn from Cat Saka's Kettle. And then for the attraction, they actually started doing something new in March of this year. It's called Shadows of Memory, a Skywalker Saga. And it's right around, it's where the Millennium Falcon is. And it says, gather near the Millennium Falcon to embark on a storytelling adventure across the galaxy. Stunning projection effects transform the spires of Batuu, evoking memories of some of the greatest moments in galactic history. And I As an iconic musical score draws you into the remarkable story of the Skywalkers. So as a Star Wars fan, this would probably pull on the emotional strings for sure. Especially if the music is John Williams. Oh, I'm sure. They have shows at 8.45 and 10.15. P.M.? Yes, P.M. Okay, walking over to Frontierland. Big Thunder Mountain is... No question. There's not a whole lot of other options in Frontierland anyway, but even if there were, Big Thunder Mountain would be the ride. It's probably my favorite ride at Disney World. I'm hoping they're bringing the special effects from Disneyland to Disney World, this refurb. I hope so, too. Fingers crossed. Yeah. And then for food, there is a restaurant called Rancho de Socalo Restaurante, and they have tacos there. And I'm typically not going to ever... turned down street tacos. So they have a trio of street tacos, beef, chicken, and soy chorizo with corn tortillas, tomatillo salsa, and then onions and cilantro. How do you top that? Everybody loves this restaurant. It's so good. There's also a special like sneak through to Frontierland through the back corner of this restaurant. If you didn't know, I was ushered through at one. We were actually on our honeymoon to go rope drop Splash Mountain. They're like, go through here. No one knows about this entrance. Stay here. And then they let us go 10 minutes before they open the other entrance. So we had our Just Married pins on. So we actually sat and did Splash Mountain like three or four times before the rest of the crowd got there. Disney magic. Yes. Those cast members. And then for a snack, if I could, I would get a funnel cake because they have several types of funnel cakes. I don't really have a great option in this section. My only option here is to do a corn on the cob at the turkey leg cart. And I don't even know if I would be able to go near the turkey leg cart to get my corn on the cob. I might have to send someone over there because I think that turkey legs are so gross. But you can go out of the ship to shore marketplace and they have fruit and they have the giant pickle. Okay. Well, maybe I can do that. But I mean, I love corn on the cob. It's like one of my favorite things. It's the best. But just having to like view the turkey leg as getting my corn on the cob. Yuck. So for the attraction, I know it's probably like super cheesy, but the sailing ship Columbia, they don't have this at Walt Disney World. So it's like a, I don't know, I just think it's a fun, cute thing. It's very similar to the riverboat kind of situation. But I would probably choose that just because it's different and not something I can do at Disney World when I'm there. That's where I am most. I'm also going to pick Big Thunder Mountain for my ride. Sorry, it's extra special to me. Some sweet memories with my dad. So, got to do that. Food, I'm going to the Ship to Shore Marketplace. This is across from the Big Thunder Mountain entrance for the breakfast chimichanga. And I'm going to sit under the little cover and watch people get on and off the boat. Is that the river boat or the sailing whatever? The Columbia. Yeah. The Columbia entrance is right there, I believe. It's right there? Okay. Because you can hear the whistle and the all board. Oh, that's very fun. Snack. I'm going to go inside the Golden Horseshoe for the Cowboy Fries. It's fries, nacho cheese, sauteed ground beef, burger sauce, and butter pickles. That sounds right up Ella's alley. Right? She would take that down. I need to make sure that I keep that on the list for her. For my attraction, I'm doing Fantasmic. If you've never been to Disneyland or have never seen, this is such a different experience from Walt Disney World. You just kind of crowd around the river unless you have a dining package and have like a little roped off area. So the dining package is the way to go. But if not, you're just kind of elbowing in there. So, but it's so fun. Like the river and the, hopefully there's no more fires, right? Yeah. All right, Fantasyland. There's so much in Fantasyland. This is hard. Yeah, this one was really difficult. But I think, even though it's so magical, this whole area, there's so many original dark rides, I have to pick Small World. It's very dreamy. The outside is iconic. You look at the boats outside. And then I love that they've added characters into their respective areas. And so I was looking online to see exactly who they have. And I'm going to read this because... People don't understand how big the character thing is there. So in England, you'll find Peter Pan and Tinkerbell. Alice and the White Rabbit are also present. Cinderella is found in Francine with her mouse's friends, Cass and Jack. Pinocchio and Jiminy Cricket appear in Italy. Aladdin, Jasmine, and Abu are in the Middle East, while Mulan and Mushu are in China. Simba, Puma, Timon are in Africa. In Latin America, you'll find the three Caballeros and Miguel with Dante. Finally, in the South Seas, you can spot Ariel, Flounder, Lilo, and Stitch. And I believe they just added Moana. And then in the America Southwest, look for Woody, Jesse, and Bullseye. They have so much packed into this space. It's crazy. Now that they have the new final verse in the white room, I just need to go. It's closed while we're there because they're making it into the Christmas one. Food. I'm going to go to Red Rose Tavern. They have some fun baked potato options. I was really craving the chicken pot pie baked potato that they have on the menu right now. I love a baked potato and I love chicken pot pie. So sound like a great combo snack. This is a crystal. We'll get this every time she's at Disneyland. Maurice's treats for the cheesy pretzel bread. You got to try it if you can. Or a cream cheese filled pretzel at the little pretzel cart outside of Small World. And then my attraction. This is just a great spot to see characters in the wild. Some that you can see walking around. Peter Pan, Geppetto and Pinocchio, Genie, Aladdin, Jasmine, Mary Poppins and Bert, Mad Hatter and Alice. You just never know who you'll see wandering. So keep your eyes peeled. Some really great interactions. You can also see if you're standing in front of the Snow White ride, the Evil Queen peeks out the window at you. So you'll look up and all of a sudden you'll see her staring out the window. It's very creepy. It's funny. Yes. She walks around, too. We've had some great interactions with the evil queen and Maleficent right there. Yeah. And the Cinderella's evil stepsisters and stepmother. Just keep your eyes out. So, for me, this whole area, like, I think you could, like, spend the whole day in here in just this one section because there's so much going on. But I was going back and forth, and I couldn't... I actually asked Crystal before. I'm like, is Matterhorn considered in... Fantasyland or is it Tomorrowland? Because it's kind of in like a weird spot. If we're counting it as being in Fantasyland, I'm going to pick the Matterhorn. But I also really, really want to be able to get on Mr. Toads one day. You guys, if you've been listening, you know I'm super salty that I tried three times when I was there last time and I did not get on because it broke down every time we were in line. And it just in general, like I want to be able to ride all of the rides, especially in that Fantasyland area. They're not in Disney World. I would love to also get that on the Alice ride just because I don't have I've never had that, you know, in Disney World. And to be honest, I just want to ride everything in there and that whole section for food. I would go to the Red Rose Tavern. They do have a gluten free section of their menu. Not all of the menus have that, but they have a cheeseburger. So I would just go with getting a regular old cheeseburger with grilled onions cheese and pickles it looks delicious and it comes with basically it looks like fries it comes with fries for my snack going to get a mickey ice cream bar at the troubadour tavern it's almost in toontown it's kind of on the bubble wouldn't you think the troubadour tavern it's kind of it's almost up there but i felt like it was in It's not in Toontown if it's not under the bridge, under the sun. So I feel like it was okay to include that one. But yeah, I would definitely want to get in my Mickey ice cream bar. And then for the attraction, I would just want to walk around through the Sleeping Beauty Castle. You walk through Cinderella's Castle, but Sleeping Beauty Castle, you actually can go in to different rooms. And I would want to be able to do that again. That was really neat. And I think it's just extra special to you because it was part of Walt's legacy. Yeah, a lot of people don't realize that there's like a whole attraction in there. So moving into Mickey's Toontown, my ride is going to be Mickey and Minnie's Runaway Railway. The queue here is so fun, so much better than compared to Disney World. Although I love the ride regardless of where I ride it, but the queue was really neat. And I mean, I remember that like really stuck out whenever you're going to the queue. For food... I would go to Cafe Daisy. They have a algae-friendly pepperoni pizza. And it does say to specifically talk to a cast member, but it is listed as something that you can get on their menu. And then for my snack, there's not a whole lot of places to get a good coffee. Like there's coffee on menus, but it's not like specialty coffee. So I would get the specialty cold brew at Cafe Daisy as a snack. It has Joffrey's cold brew, vanilla cream syrup. It also has whipped cream and confetti and sprinkles. I wouldn't get all that stuff on it probably. I just don't generally do that because I want to be able to taste the coffee. I actually like the coffee. So I would probably just get the cold brew and the syrup. And then the other neat thing in here is they do have Mickey and Minnie's houses here. And you're able to go through those. They have the ability to also meet Mickey and Minnie here. But I think it's so neat that you're able to go through their little houses. And that's just not something that we have at all. Nothing even remotely like that at Disney World. So I love that kind of stuff. For Two Town, mine are all pretty similar. Ride, Mickey and Minnie's Runaway Railway. Like Julie said, the queue plays homage to Mickey's life. So it's just so cool to see all the different shows and things that they've come up with. for food. I'm also going to Cafe Daisy. I can't decide between the chicken bacon ranch flop over or the pepperoni pizza flop over. In fact, I know someone who's at Disneyland this weekend and they were posting pictures of these and I was like, I need this. And then snack also from Cafe Daisy, the Daisy's Goody Goody Donuts house made mini donuts with cinnamon sugar. And then for my attraction, I'm also going to Mickey Minnie's house's It's so fun for the littles that you can just kind of play on things and then meet them. When we met Mickey, he was in a steamboat outfit. I've also seen pictures of him in his Sorcerer Mickey outfit recently. So I don't know what is what right now. Maybe you'll look out and see a steamboat, but that was magical. Wasn't that when you were there? That was there when you were there in October, right? When you went to the party. Yeah, I'm there for Ogie Boogie. I about burst into tears when I saw that's what he was wearing when I came through the door. I was not expecting that. But honestly, though, this entire land was reimagined as a toddler heaven, like Goofy's little house and playground and Donald's boat. And we sat there for a good couple hours and just let them run. It looks like Mickey's Clubhouse on the Disney Channel. Like they took it out of the TV and like plopped it in Disney.
UNKNOWN:Yeah. So fun.
SPEAKER_00:Last but not least, we're going to Tomorrowland. My ride, Space Mountain. Love it, especially when it's hyperspace mountain out there. I've said this before and I'll say it again. All the rides that are multiples or duplicates are better at Disneyland. So food, Pete's Planet. They have this countdown shrimp fasuli. It's fasuli pasta topped with garlic shrimp, a Parmesan pesto cream sauce with sun-dried tomatoes and shaved Parmesan cheese, which sounds really good. And then a snack. I've gone this entire episode without getting a churro. So we're getting one. The cart outside buzzes because Disneyland churros are iconic. You have to get one. I know you can't eat one, but. I feel like there's more, there's more churro carts in DCA, right? No, they're just everywhere, everywhere. Okay. Maybe, maybe that's just like, I just felt like I saw more of them there. I don't feel like they're all, they're not all listed in the app. They just randomly just, there's a churro cart. No, I mean, when I was there, like, I just don't remember seeing a ton of them. I remember seeing churro carts. when we were at DCA. And maybe it's just because for whatever reason, the girls, that's what they wanted. And so we sought them out and found them when we were at DCA instead of at Disneyland. I just remember. Yeah. And I do feel like there's a lot more back hidden corners at Disneyland. So it's easy to stick a cart back there. And unless you're specifically going there for that, you kind of just miss it. They're just kind of tucked away. I think Disneyland... It has, there's a ton like crammed into that little tiny space. Yeah. And so you can definitely miss things. It's just in general. For my attraction, there's a little stage over by the Galactic Grill that always has something going on. Search in the entertainment tab in the app. Right now they're having Stitch's Interplanetary Beach Party Blast from 5.30 to 9.30 p.m. They do things seasonally. They have things for parties everywhere. They might not have something, but usually there's something going on right there. Yeah. I mean, it would be kind of a wasted space if they didn't use that little stage, you know? Yeah. They'd use the heck out of it. I think they should use the one, like, it's kind of a similar type situation, the one that's next to Space Mountain at Disney World. I don't think they use that space enough. Like, they have, like... No, they put Buzz on it so you can see the picture of him. Yeah. It's weird. I think it's very odd that they don't use that space as much as they should. Okay. So for me, Tomorrowland, I'm also going to ride Space Mountain. Although I know Crystal's going to get, she's going to make a face at me probably. But for whatever reason, like we love the Tomorrowland Speedway. And so when we went to Autopia. That's a good ride out there and you get a driver's license. We just like love that ride. And I know the Speedway gets a lot of crap because it does need to be redone for sure. But that was just one of the ones that we loved when our girls were little and it, I mean, and they still love to do it, but it's kind of a more of a nostalgic thing. So we of course had to do the Autopia one. It's far better out there than it is. Yeah. They've definitely updated the cars. They've done something. Well, and I've heard rumor that California is going to make them go electric. So that will take care of the like gasoline smell that you just like sit and flounder in. Yeah. But that one's more of a kind of a nostalgia type ride for us. And there's no way I would be able to get Lena on Space Mountain. So if I wanted to do a ride with all of us, then that would be the one that I would do. And then if it was just me picking a ride to go on, I would go on Space Mountain. For food, I would go to Galactic Grill. This would be for breakfast. I don't usually do breakfast-y food as much. I typically just have coffee for breakfast. But this looks so good. They have a gluten-free loaded breakfast sandwich. And it has sausage patty, egg, bacon, and hash browns on it. allergy friendly potato bun. Like I probably eat like a quarter of it. Cause it looks like it's humongous, like with everything that it has on it, but it looks so good. Yeah. It looks delicious. I don't think I need that. And then for a snack, I would do popcorn from the popcorn cart. That's kind of right around where like, I think it's like right in front of pizza planet. As you guys know, we're popcorn people. We get popcorn all the time. So we snack on popcorn throughout the day, any, at any Disney park. And then for an attraction, this is, It's not necessarily an attraction, but it kind of is. Again, this is more because of the nostalgia of it for me, getting on the original monorail. It doesn't really do a whole lot. You can just kind of go back and forth between that area in Tomorrowland and over to the resort and then back. It's not very exciting, but it is the original one. So I thought that's probably something that I would at least take the opportunity to do. The other thing that I saw, and I don't think this is long term, but because the Fantastic Four movie just came out, they are doing meet and greets of the Fantastic Four characters in the area that's like right next to Space Mountain. I thought that would be something neat to do. I'm not a huge fan of that particular franchise, but it's just something different and I probably would want to get a picture. Are the Fantastic Four not Marvel? They are. That's interesting that they're meeting at Disneyland and not in DCA. I don't know. Interesting. Yeah. I don't know why they're not in that other area. Maybe it's because it's more of a spacey type of thing. Yeah. I don't know. Just to know about the monorail, you do need a ticket because you do end up in Tomorrowland. And if you ask nicely, they will let you ride in the nose up by the... There's like a special little seat up there. So that's fun. But I think that's all of it. There's so much in Disneyland we could not... cramming DCA today so you need to it would have been way too much yeah we'll do another episode and I'm also very proud of us because we had a lot more variety than we did at Magic Kingdom but that's easy also to do just at Disneyland in general so this this makes me want to go to Disneyland again not that I don't always want to go but this really like gave me the bug and then once we do DCA it's going to get even worse so trying to try to figure out now I have to figure out how to talk my husband into going. Maybe we can try to go over spring break next year. Oh, that would be a good time. Yeah. If you would like to go on your own Disneyland trip, let us know. We would love to help you.
