TheJourneywithM
The Journey with M is a contemplative podcast with Mona. An invitation to journey with both the self and with humanity, through a mindful lens.
Here, mindfulness is not about techniques or fixing the mind. It is a space where we meet beyond thought. A space to explore the state of the world, both the inner and the outer. A space to slow down enough to notice what is actually present in each sacred moment. Moments that will never return in the same way.
This podcast grows from the same intention as Mona’s earlier Arabic podcast Mn’albi (“From My Heart”): to reflect on what emerges when we pause, listen, and allow life to meet us as it is.
No absolute truths or ready-made answers are offered here. Instead, each episode invites the listener to discern what feels true in their own heart. Listening without rushing to judgment. Allowing insight to reveal itself in its own time. Staying with what is.
This kind of listening takes courage.
The word courage comes from the French cœur (the heart) our center where feeling, will, and meaning meet.
To be courageous is not to be without fear, but to let the heart speak even when fear is present. To live from the chest forward. To remain open. To allow the heart to lead.
Guided by the heart’s intelligence, these conversations explore how we touch life, how we listen, and how our presence leaves its mark on the world.
Each episode is an invitation to feel, to remember, and to listen not from the mind alone, but from the wholeness of your being, from the comfort of your own space.
Wherever you are listening from, you are welcome to journey with M.

Musings with Daniel Mate…
An apple doesn’t fall far from the tree. Both Daniel Mate and Gabor Mate are jews that courageously explain the psychology behind zionism. We’re all indoctrinated to some degree but this man-made ideology is the reason for so much harm and suffering in our world today. It’s really beyond what words can describe.
Daniel and his father Gabor have co-authored the book The Myth of Normal https://share.google/TBrcPIyhQUyA4j14Awhich highlights the illusion of normalcy and how it´s become a toxic cultural template in our modern society.
Daniel holds a B.A in psychology and philosophy and has his own podcast together with Matt Lieb called ¨Bad Hasbara¨ https://www.youtube.com/@Badhasbara
Daniel also recently became an actor in his first movie 🎬 ‘‘Occupational Hazards”. It’s a satirical movie, directed by Bassel Ghandour, recently shot in Jordan which I personally can’t wait to see.
I agree with Daniel on many things like the psychopathy that underlies zionism and keeps it active, also the lunacy of the zionist regime of Israel. It’s built on creating monsters of ordinary Palestinians to keep claiming more of their land.
In this episode we talk about how to maintain a monster to keep zionism functioning. I've heard many jews express their fear of rising anti semistism not because they're jews per se but because of the atrocities carried out by the zionist regime in the name of jews. Many also express agressions and threats by zionists themselves, especially if they speak up against it. The genocide against the Palestinians that started more than 2 years ago and is still ongoing has changed me to the core. The gaslighting, the supremacy and evil that shows up in different forms to justify genocide is incomprehensible. But what we keep forgetting is that in the end evil destroys even itself
A big part of why this type of evil has managed to spread in such a way is that we ordinary people have allowed it. I think it’s unprecedented though to see evil exposed in such a blatant and audacious way, which is an excellent opportunity to face it together. The interesting study that I mentioned in the pod about power, evil and calling eachother out is linked here https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/23815455/
I was reminded in this episode how important it is to be precise in my words about this sensitive topic so as not to conflate judaism and zionism. Even if historically Jews played a disproportionate role in the Hollywood entertainment industry in the 1930’s, they faced antisemitism and now it’s the zionists that control a big chunk of the narrative in major news outlets. This is shown by a comprehensive tracking of CNN, MSNBC and print institutions like The New York Times, The Washington Post, and Los Angeles Times, that revealed highly lopsided terminology. Strongly emotive, condemnatory adjectives like “slaughter,” “massacre,” and “barbaric” were used thousands of times to highlight the comparatively few Israeli casualties, but were entirely omitted when the same publications reported on the countless Palestinian civilians killed by Israel. Media is a major way of how we get indoctrinated
I feel hopeful that so many Jews are standing up and saying that the genocide carried out by Israel is not in their name. Many examples like Jewish voice for peace and David Spevak https://www.instagram.com/reel/DY5Ij4-JQrp/?igsh=ZThjbGxsbjY2bHE2 whose father fought in the idf against Egypt my country, explains in a very grounded and rational way how many Jews have been indoctrinated and how he himself can see that now.
I´m grateful for this episode with Daniel and share his view of that there’s light at the end of the tunnel even if it’s a slow process. Let’s pray together that it hastens...
