Eternal Life according to God's definition is to live as He lives. One of the main attributes about God's life is that He lives in a Family Unit. He, along with our Heavenly Mother, live in the Patriarchal order within the New and Everlasting Covenant of Marriage. Within this eternal union, Father and Mother continue the family unit for eternity, offering their own offspring the chance to become as They are. Bruce R. McConkie, testifies of this beautiful doctrine and teaches that for us to become as They are, we must enter in to the same covenants that we might also receive eternal life with Them in the mansions above.
