The House of Israel has ever been an important part in the Lord's kingdom here upon the earth. His covenant's and promises have extended through this familial ancestral line from the beginning. In the this talk, originally given on November 22, 1988, at BYU, then Elder Russell M. Nelson, explains the origins of how this family came to be. What was so important about the promises made to those who entered into this eternal family unit and what does that have to do with us in these latter days? Promises from the Lord matter. Covenants with Jesus Christ matter. And we in the latter days, matter to our ancient fathers and mothers because we will heal and restore that which has been lost.
