Richard O. Cowan was a BYU Professor who wrote many articles about the relationship between Temples through out the ages. In our day, we cannot fully understand the nature of the ordinances and covenants made in any of the Lord's Holy Houses without a study of how and why these covenants were made anciently. Everything, even including the building of these structures have been received by revelation, showing God's will in all things. Patterns continually repeat themselves and it is no different when it comes to Temples. In this article Brother Cowan, cites the many evidences that temples existed in every dispensation in one form or another. Everything in the temples today directly correlate with Moses' Tabernacle, King Solomon's Temple, and many more. A study of the past, helps us to understand our responsibility in the present, thus giving us more opportunity in our day to realize the great endowment of power that we have been given.
