Hall of Femme
Femme Forte Uganda is a movement-building organization that strives to connect various isolated cells of the feminist movement in Uganda. Given that our work is centered on connecting and weaving one feminist voice, we are launching a podcast that will not only be a brave space for feminists to voice the things they would ordinarily shy away from but also provide an equipping and learning platform to build on feminist praxis by sharing stories, experiences, and learnings by and from various feminists.

Decolonization and Afro-Feminism in Conversation
Sarah Mukasa and Jackline Kemigisa sit down to unpack Decolonization and Afro-Feminism by Prof. Sylvia Tamale, a radical text that challenges us to rethink knowledge, power, and liberation from African feminist perspectives.
Their dialogue centers on these critical questions that sit at the heart of decolonial feminist thought:
1. How do we divert the paternalistic, fetishized gaze of the Western reader from our beloved continent?
2. How do we build the critical consciousness needed to counter racist, patriarchal hegemonic power?
3. Who will connect the ideological dots of racism, colonization, capitalism, sexism, heterosexism in ways our children can understand?
4. Can we move beyond Eurocentric knowledge systems and navigate its modernities without losing our Africanness?
A necessary and deeply reflective conversation on reclaiming knowledge, power, and identity, grounded in the spirit of African feminist resistance and revolutionary hope.
