It's good morning, Charu Manjari. Welcome to Yellow Shelf.

SPEAKER_00

Hi, good morning. Sorry, my name is Morjani.

SPEAKER_01

Morjani, I beg your pardon. Do you know what? Sometimes I go for it and other times I but thank you for correcting me. I really appreciate that. Tell us all about your fabulous new book that's out now, Happiness Pathways.

SPEAKER_00

So I've got it here. It's called The Happiness Pathway. It's basically about redefining happiness. So you know how a lot of us grow up thinking happiness is something we achieve after an achievement or a milestone, like a perfect job, a picture, perfect relationship, or money and success. What I realized was that when I had all of that, I still felt empty on the inside and I didn't really feel happy on the inside. And that's where I start my journey on discovering what happiness means for me. I am a mindset coach as well, so I read about mindset a lot. I got my certification. I did a lot of mindset coaching sessions with clients, and I realized this was a common theme where people had everything and they were still feeling empty on the inside. So that's where my journey started with uh happiness pathway, where I share a lot of uh real life stories from my life, um, reflections on tools and techniques that have helped me, and uh there's practical exercise spaces for readers to start their own journey.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah. And Tara, what I like is um that you know, that you that really clear intent in your book about happiness isn't to be chased, it's an act like to build actively is how how we actually um obtain happiness and real happiness uh you know, inside out, not outside in.

SPEAKER_00

Exactly. So it's something you create in your everyday life by the habits you have, uh, by the by your mindset, by the choices you make. So I share a lot of these little microhabits uh and um practical exercise the users can use to basically understand themselves, align with themselves, and find their own happiness pathway.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah. And the themes around really you need to be able to heal. Healing matters, boundaries, um, self-trust, huge one, uh, as well as, like you mentioned, those small habits that help us on our pathway.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, so I do talk about my personal life as well. So I talk about uh going through an abusive marriage and divorce at a very young age, um, being sick with a life-threatening illness, Gillian Barris syndrome, and being on a mechanical ventilator in the hospital for a month, um, losing my father at a young age and talking about grieving for him, uh, and just going through that healing journey myself. So it's something I've lived myself, and I share those tools and techniques that have helped me in my journey, hoping that the the readers can get that and use that to go on their own mindset journey.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah. And you know, by you sharing your journey, um it's it's now in a book. So tell us about your journey as a writer and like putting it down on paper and what that was like as well. That'd be great.

SPEAKER_00

Honestly, I didn't really set out to write a book. Um, it was this book is basically part of my journals that I did. So I did journal a lot when I was going through difficult parts in my life, like going into marriage and divorce, being sick, or just going through grief. So I've I've journaled a lot throughout my life. Um, and these were journals that I had written just to, you know, put something on paper because I didn't know what else to do. Uh, I just wanted to put my feelings on paper. And when I started studying mindset coaching and going through these coaching sessions with clients, I realized that there is space where people feel alone, they feel lost, they sometimes just don't know what to do. And my goal for this book was then bringing together my story, sharing my story so people feel that wow, I'm not alone in this. And also they have some practical tools. It's not just a self-help book, it's um giving you inspiration, but it's also giving you that space to take that first step in your life to go on your own healing journey and define your own happiness.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah. And you know, it sounds like the book complements your work as well.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, so I work as a business transformation change leader in the corporate space. Um, and um, I work with uh businesses to work on growth, resilience, and help people navigate that change uh in the workspace and also with my mindset coaching, help clients go through that change and help them go through that phase in life.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, wonderful. And tell us if we're watching, if we're curious about, you know, connecting with a happiness journey that we we may need or we know others that may need, what's the best way to connect with you and the book?

SPEAKER_00

Um, so you can connect with me directly on my Instagram page. It's called the Happiness Pathway, uh, or my website, which is happinesspathway.com. Um, so I on my Instagram page I share some inspiration, daily inspiration around healing, self-love, boundaries, happiness. Um, I've got a good audience where I like to connect with people. And I think that was one of the other purposes of the book to have those connections with people who align with you. So um, yes, you can find me on uh Instagram.

SPEAKER_01

Ah, wonderful. Well, I'll put that in the show notes to make it easy for anyone to connect with you, to get the book, to you know, send your message, give your feedback.

SPEAKER_00

I think that's yeah, I love hearing feedback. Um, so that's one of the best things that come out of the book, just hearing how it's impacted people and helped them go on their own journey. So, yes, please reach out with feedback. I love it.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, well, the book's out now. Thank you so much for joining us. Um, and all the best with your work. And uh I'm sure there might be future books.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, I hope so. All the best.

SPEAKER_01

Cheers. Thank you.
