Bill Donohue: President of the Catholic League

AtlanticPlaybook.com Season 1 Episode 5

Today, we have Bill Donohue, the president and CEO of the Catholic League for Religious and Civil Rights, the nation’s largest Catholic civil rights organization.

Donohue, a former Bradley Resident Scholar at The Heritage Foundation, served for two decades on the board of directors of the National Association of Scholars. He has authored several books on civil liberties, social issues, and Catholicism, and holds a PhD from NYU.

In his recent book, Cultural Meltdown: The Secular Roots of Our Moral Crisis, Donohue contends that our moral crisis stems from two competing visions of morality — one religious and the other secular. The former is grounded in our Judeo-Christian tradition, while the latter is based on radical notions of liberty and equality that are causing division.

Chadwick and Bill discuss his latest book and conflicting issues in American society.
