Show Notes

From silence to tantrums, from verbal outbursts to punching fists, from pulling out hair to cutting themselves; our children are struggling to manage their emotions. There is a lot happening in their lives and they may not be able to talk it all through calmly.

Helen Thorne (BCUK) tells us about her own journey through self harm, as well as helping us to calmly think through helping our children with the normal experience of extreme emotions.

We are also joined by Simon Poole (CiS) who tells us about a time in his life when his desire for excellence in sport caused him harm.
