In the second week of Advent, we focus on the theme of peace, a central promise of the season. Advent is a time of anticipation and preparation for the coming of Jesus Christ, marked by themes of hope, peace, joy, and love. Isaiah 9:6-7 prophesies the arrival of the Prince of Peace, a promise fulfilled in Luke 2:13-14 with the birth of Jesus. Romans 5:1-2 explains that peace with God comes through justification by faith, while John 14:25-27 assures us of the peace Jesus leaves with us through the Holy Spirit. To embody this peace, we must let the Spirit govern our minds and allow Christ's peace to rule our hearts. Reflect on whether you see peace in your world, family, and personal life, and consider how you can be a peacemaker this Advent season.
