Obedience That Brings Walls Down | Robby Williams

Russ Pullen

In Joshua 6, we find a powerful illustration of how God's instructions often defy human logic. The Israelites faced the impossible task of conquering Jericho, a city with walls so thick and high that victory seemed unattainable. God's battle plan - marching silently around the city once daily for six days, then seven times on the seventh day before blowing trumpets and shouting - made no military sense whatsoever. Yet this plan worked perfectly because the people obeyed completely. God had already declared victory before they began, saying 'I have delivered Jericho into your hands.' The breakthrough was secured in God's mind - obedience was the only thing standing between the promise and its fulfillment. This teaches us three important truths: God's plans often defy human logic, obedience activates God's promises, and breakthrough comes after bold obedience. We all face walls in our lives - obstacles that keep us from moving forward in God's purposes. The challenge is to keep walking in obedience, even when it doesn't make sense, even when we feel foolish, and even when we don't see immediate results. Obedience may not make sense to us or to the world, but it moves the hand of God.

Our mission is to multiply God’s Kingdom through being and making disciples everywhere.
Be. Make. Multiply.
