Joshua, after leading the Israelites into the Promised Land, delivered a final message that resonates powerfully today: faithfulness to God must be intentionally chosen. Despite all their victories and blessings, Joshua was concerned the people would drift away from God now that they were comfortable. He reminded them that not one of God's promises had failed, but warned that violating His covenant would lead to disaster. Joshua challenged the people to make a clear choice, culminating in his famous declaration: 'As for me and my household, we will serve the Lord.' When the people quickly agreed, Joshua pushed back, ensuring they understood the seriousness of their commitment. Surprisingly, he then told them to throw away the foreign gods among them—revealing they had already begun to drift without realizing it. This message speaks directly to our lives today. We often drift from God not during hardship but during prosperity. The 'little gods' competing for our loyalty might be comfort, control, success, or security—not bad things in themselves, but problematic when they become more important than God. Faithfulness requires daily choices, removing competing priorities, and living with gratitude for blessings we didn't earn. The good news is that God welcomes us back whenever we recognize our drift and choose to return to Him.

Our mission is to multiply God’s Kingdom through being and making disciples everywhere.
Be. Make. Multiply.
