Don't Miss Him | Robby Williams

As Easter approaches, it's crucial to examine our hearts and ask what we truly want from Jesus. While there's nothing wrong with bringing our needs to God, we must distinguish between worshiping Jesus for what He can give us versus worshiping Him for who He is. The Palm Sunday crowd demonstrates this perfectly. They praised the right Savior but for all the wrong reasons, seeking political deliverance and earthly prosperity rather than spiritual transformation.
The story of the woman at the well in John 4 provides a powerful contrast. Initially, she wanted Jesus to make her life more convenient, asking for living water so she wouldn't have to keep drawing from the well. But Jesus redirected her attention to her real need, not better circumstances, but a genuine relationship with Him. He addressed her broken life with truth and grace, showing that true worship requires honest acknowledgment of our spiritual condition.
The danger lies in treating Jesus as a means to an end rather than the end itself. We live in the most prosperous time in history, yet people are spiritually and emotionally empty because they keep seeking satisfaction from the wrong sources. Jesus is not merely the way to get what we want; He is what we actually want. True worship happens when we surrender our lives to fit into His plan rather than asking Him to fit into ours. The test of genuine faith is simple: would Jesus still be enough if He didn't give you what you're currently asking for? Don't miss Jesus by worshiping Him for the wrong reasons. He is the satisfaction your soul has been searching for all along.
Our mission is to multiply God’s Kingdom through being and making disciples everywhere.
Be. Make. Multiply.
