Prayer is one of the most powerful things a Christian can do for another person, yet it is often treated as an afterthought. Intercession means bringing someone else's name, need, and situation before the God who actually has the power to do something about it. When you pray for others, you acknowledge your dependence on God, point them back to Him as their source of hope, take your eyes off yourself, and engage the very power of God on their behalf. The Lord's Prayer in Matthew 6 gives us a simple and complete pattern to follow when we do not know what to say. Praying for someone out loud, by name, can minister to them in ways that no amount of advice or encouragement ever could. There is nothing you can do for another person that carries more weight than genuinely praying for them.

Our mission is to multiply God’s Kingdom through being and making disciples everywhere.
Be. Make. Multiply.
