Welcome to the Healthier Home Studio. My name is Chris Graham. If you used to listen to the six Figure Home Studio podcast and you were a fan, you're gonna love this shit. when I look back at the six figure room studio, I'm struck by a couple things. The first and, and kind of most awkward, let's get this outta the way, is it didn't end well. There was an ugly public breakup between me and my co-host at the time. I know one of the things that anyone that listened to that podcast is wondering is, is this the, is this the podcast where, where Chris just like throws Brian under the bus and tries to make him look like an asshole? No, that is not what this podcast is about. Some shit went down. About half of it was my fault. and I did it publicly. I regret that I. But this podcast, I, I felt I had to make it because there's two versions of me that you need to know about. There's old me and there's new me. I went full blast on therapy and it changed me on what feels like a cellular level. And when I think back to who I used to be, it's almost like remembering a dream. And I have many. Many regrets I have changed my mind on an awful lot of things, and so I feel like I need to make this podcast because old me is still out there on my old podcast talking a bunch of shit that he doesn't really even understand. And so that's the purpose for the Healthy Home Studio. We're gonna talk about the business of making records, and we're gonna talk about the things that get in the way of growing that business, of making an impact on the world around you. And what I have found is this, here's the awkward and uncomfortable truth. When I came forward and I went public and I started talking about the crazy fucking evil shit that happened to me as a kid, it took about two weeks for me to lose count of all the people that listened to the six figure drum studio that reached out to me and said, me too, man. Me too. And what I realized about myself through this process was that the only reason I worked in a recording studio in the first place was because music was a coping mechanism whether that was using the gear or using my ears or talking with people about how to make a record, like whatever it happened to be. I had got really good at it because I spent all of my time coping with my trauma in the studio, right? and I suspect that an awful lot of you are in the same shoes that I used to be in. You got in the studio to cope with some shit that happened to you when you were younger and you did it instead of getting into therapy. so this podcast is about that. It's about taking all the things I've learned and trying to find a way to help more people. Have the realizations and the breakthroughs that I did, We're gonna have these conversations about potential. And about healing and about growth and about money and about the way that when you run a business based on your unhealed, that it just fucks everything else up in your life, right? We gotta talk about that. And so this is a podcast, for lack of a better word, about non-toxic masculinity. And so welcome to the Healthy Home Studio. We're gonna have a conversation about what it means to make a living With our coping mechanisms. Okay? That's what this podcast is about. because I think that if we have a full conversation that's not just about the business side of things, but that's also about the why. The why behind the why conversation, then we have an opportunity to grow as a community one of the big ideas that I teach when I'm coaching people is this idea of golden dominoes. imagine in your head, if you will, a normal sized gold domino. We stack that thing up on the table in front of us, and then behind it a bigger domino, a 50% bigger domino, if you will. And then another bigger domino and another bigger domino, and another bigger domino. And if we push over this normalized domino first, and we've got our dominoes in the right order. All of these big ass giant dominoes fall, and so that's what this podcast is about. We didn't get our dominoes in the right order on the six figure room studio, and old me is still out there teaching about dominoes in the wrong order. And so that's why I'm back. And on August 13th, I'm gonna drop three new episodes I've done seven interviews so far. The interviews are effortless, they're fun. I'm gonna be making a lot of dad jokes. I'm gonna be teaching you guys what I've learned and it is going to be a journey. So please join me on this journey on the Healthier Home Studio Podcast as we figure out how to navigate what it means to run and grow a business in this industry that is changing so fast. We're in the age of AI and I'd like to talk about that. If this sounds interesting and, and you're like, oh my gosh, this is the greatest thing I, I, I can't wait for this podcast. I wanna do something, I wanna help in some way. Here's how you can do that. Podcast reviews. Spotify and the Apple Podcast app. These are the two things that you can do to help the most. Write me a review on one of these apps so that when I am going to the biggest, baddest, most creative sons of bitches on the planet and asking them to come on the show and have a conversation about what is the healthiest. Home studio that they can possibly imagine. What are things that they can teach us to help us grow our potential to make an impact? You wanna help me do that?
