What's up, y'all? We are back. This is Miko with the Influence Her Mindset podcast. We are in season two. We are so excited to be back. Man, I miss you guys. So what's going on? Like we have so many new things for 2025. As you can see, we're on a new set. We have a new team. We have knew everything. We really tried to step our game up in 2025. So hey, let's get into it. So how are you guys feeling? I mean, a lot is going on. The president, you know, and his musketeer has shaken up the whole government, all the agencies. Everything is getting restructured, closed down, changed around. Oh my God. It's like, Contracts are being canceled. People are losing their jobs. How y'all feeling about that? I mean, the first couple of days of his administration has been so crazy. But we made it through. So, you know, nothing is how we expected this administration to be. But just let me know in the comments, like, how are y'all feeling about the new administration? I know that I don't really like it, but... We'll see. We're still in this first 100 days. So let's see how it keeps going. You know, certain things have even changed with social media. Like TikTok has warned us, OK, May 2nd, pay attention. We are going to be changing prices. Everything is going to go up. The new rule about the de minimis tariffs, they're going into effect now. Everything that has an import under $800 now will have a tariff attached to it. We have so many new tariffs. Everything that used to come from China will be increased in price. So ladies, we know we get our hair, the beauty supply, our beauty products, the dollar store products, everything. Amazon even orders a Teemu product. Fashion Nova, Shein, all of our foreign imports, everything is going to have an additional tariff attached to it. So hey, just expect everything to increase in price. The only thing that I think is good right now about all of the extra tariffs, about all of the foreign changes, how we interact with the foreign countries like China, Mexico, Canada. You know, it gives the U.S. companies a chance to restructure and it gives them an opportunity to have more U.S. made products. Like I'm not with the whole mega uh logo or, you know, the saying make america great again, because i don't know if that's what we're really doing. But it is an opportunity for us to start businesses. And for us to make American products, make more manufacturing here in the U.S. So it's a good time to start a business. And if you're creative and you can make a product that's U.S. made. Hey, this is an opportunity for you to capitalize on what's going on right now. So speaking of TikTok. in the first quarter of 2025. I know you guys, you know, I was missing for a minute, but now I'm back. So a lot of things are moving. So did y'all jump on the crave about the HillmanTok University? I mean, we had the wonderful like movement on TikTok. Everybody was getting on it. Everybody was a professor. Hey, I'm even a HillmanTok University professor. I am Professor Miko. I actually teach financial therapy and healing as well as premarital financial. So we had the whole rise and fall and the website changes and trademark issues and everybody is selling merch and the whole logo change. But I think now everything is settling down. Spring 2025 courses are coming to a close. Please email me at ProfessorMikoHTU at gmail.com if you want to sign up for summer courses, because we're, you know, registering students right now for our summer courses, summer one and two. So if you're interested, let me know. Hit me up at ProfessorMikoHTU at gmail.com. So how are you guys feeling about all the new? I would say the Ice Bucket Challenge on Instagram and TikTok. I don't really think I'm feeling that one. Let me know in the comments. Have you did the Ice Bucket Challenge yet? You have 24 hours. If somebody calls you out, hey, I call out Professor Miko. I call out the host of the Influence Her Mindset podcast, Miko. You got 24 hours. You do the Ice Bucket Challenge. No. I'm not doing the ice bucket challenge. So don't nobody put me on their list. That's not happening. I'm telling you right now. But anyway, if you don't do it in 24 hours, what happens? Like nothing. So what's the purpose of it? Like I got to have a purpose. If I'm finna get ice poured on me, give me a purpose or a reason. I didn't make $2,000, $2,500. What you got? I'm not just doing it for just the sake of doing it. So no, that's not me. But what's popping on TikTok? Have you seen the dog? I think his name is Tucker. Tucker the dog. Man, Tucker the dog has such funny videos. I'm really enjoying his videos. And usually i don't do any promo of any other people, but you know, it's been interesting. The dog videos have really stepped up, man. I have a dog. I love the dog videos. I'm glued to it because i'm just amazed at how they get these dogs to participate in the videos. I mean, it takes a lot of training, but hey. What about the hip-hop industry bootsy badass just had a baby. A new baby girl. I mean, it brought him to tears. I almost cried with him. I'm like, okay, Boosie, how old are you? And you still making kids? You have a whole compound. What are we doing with Boosie? Like, come on now. You just had a baby girl. Okay. Congratulations, Boosie. Okay. We're okay with that. We love the baby girl. She's beautiful. But okay. Can this be the last baby? Okay. All right. And then we got Kevin Gates. Like, what y'all thinking about Kevin Gates? Kevin is just being Kevin. I mean, today you could be chilling with Kevin. Tomorrow, it's like, don't get in your feelings because I told you what it was. Come on now. You know he's still married to Draca. So, like, did you expect anything else? You know, he's making... videos with you in the bed with him and a month from now you may not be talking to kevin so just enjoy the moment and keep it pushing don't start making no videos don't don't say too much on the phone because you might get recorded but hey kevin is just being kevin let's just say that so I really don't think I can compete with all of what's going on with TikTok. But I tell you what, the Influencer Mindset Podcast is stepping up its game in 2025. And we are going to take our best shot at trying to keep up, give you new content, give you some interesting content, things that you want to hear. And let us know if there's something you want us to cover, please. Let me know and we will consider it and try to get it in this season. So let me tell you what we got coming up, though. What you can expect to hear on the podcast in season two. You know, we have our crossover between money, relationships, love, finances. We have a wide range of topics that we cover today. So from the financial standpoint, I think I'm going to kick it off with financial instability. Do you realize Americans that make six figures, I mean $100,000 or more, are living paycheck to paycheck? Come on now, $100,000. The average black male barely makes $100,000. But, you know, if he's making $100,000, that's pretty good. But for a whole family, that could be a little tight. $100,000 sounds like a lot, but we are still living paycheck to paycheck as Americans. So we're going to cover that in the first episode. Then we're going to take it to gambling. Stuck in the chokehold of gambling. I'm not going to tell you what we're going to really cover about the gambling problem we have in the United States, but it's going to be interesting. And I think you're going to enjoy that episode. And how about the cost of saying no? What does it really cost you to say no to people? I mean, it really should not cost you anything, but why does it mess with our mindset so much? bad when we say no to people. When we say, no, I mean, my piece is priceless. I really don't want to make that decision. I really don't think that's a good look for me. I don't think that's a good avenue for me. I just don't really want to do it. I'm going to say no. Why does that bother us so much? It's okay to say no. We are going to cover the cost of saying no. and then for our relationship series, let me tell you what we're going to cover. Gender roles in relationships. If we discuss in a relationship and we decide which way we're going to go, who's going to do this? The man is supposed to do this. What about chivalry? You know, are we still opening doors for women? Do we still respect that the man should be the head of the household? You know, There are certain things that go on with gender roles. So if the baby gets sick, we both got professional jobs or have professional jobs. Who takes off? My job is just as important as yours. So am I, as a woman, supposed to just take off? We're going to cover that in the gender roles in relationships. How about another episode I'm going to cover is cheating with plan B. What does that mean to you? I'm not going to elaborate today, but we are going to talk about cheating with plan B. And then struggling to exit the heavy rotation in relationships. I think you're going to love that episode. How about love doesn't cost a thing? That's going to be interesting to discuss. And I'm not going to give you everything, but the last one I'm going to tell you about is an episode titled Pimps, Peels, and the Pavement. It's going to be a blast. I think you're going to enjoy season two, but if you're ready to rock with me, hey, stay with us and stay tuned in because we got much more planned and much more episodes. It's going to be fun. It's going to be cool. It's going to be trendy. I love it. But, you know, I just want to I just really wanted to do my introductory episode. I just wanted to show you my new set. I wanted to give you a look at what we have now, how we look, how we're coming for 2025. So this is just an introductory episode. So if you are still enjoying the Influence Our Mindset podcast, let's get it. I look forward to you tuning in. I look forward to seeing you every week. or every other week when we record our episodes. And you know, hey, let's do it. So that's all I have today for the intro episode. And I hope you enjoyed it.
