Have you ever looked around and felt like everyone else was winning while you were the only one hurting?
In this week's episode of Sermons on the Side, Brad shares a tender moment with his daughter, Bekah, after what was supposed to be a fun-filled birthday party ended almost as soon as it began. One unexpected accident left her sitting on the sidelines, watching everyone else enjoy the celebration. Through tears, she uttered a sentence that resonates far beyond childhood:
"Dad... everyone's having fun but me."
Those words reveal a struggle we all know too well. Whether through comparison, disappointment, unanswered prayers, or unexpected hardship, it's easy to believe that everyone else's story is unfolding the way they hoped while ours has somehow gone off script.
But what if our greatest need in those moments isn't for our circumstances to change? What if it's to remember who our Father is?
This episode explores the difference between comparing our lives to everyone else's highlight reel and allowing our Heavenly Father to meet us in our pain. Brad reflects on what it means to comfort a hurting child, model healthy grief and disappointment, and ultimately point our hearts toward the One who never wastes our suffering.
If you've ever wrestled with feeling left out, overlooked, or like life is unfair, this conversation is a reminder that God isn't absent in your disappointment - He's often doing His deepest work there.
No matter what season you're walking through, this episode is an invitation to lift your eyes from everyone else's story and rest in the faithful love of the Father who is writing yours.

Welcome to Sermons on the Side. I'm Brad. And I'm Richard. And life can move pretty fast. So we're here to slow down, dig deep, and find the story hidden in everyday moments.
SPEAKER_03With years spent in ministry, friendship, and navigating real life together, we're all about blending humor, honesty, and faith into conversations that meet you right where you are.
SPEAKER_06So whether you're brand new or you're back for more, we are so glad you are here.
SPEAKER_03So relax, listen in, and let's discover meaning together.
SPEAKER_06In the ordinary, the messy, and everything in between.
SPEAKER_03Sermons on the side, finding meaning in the everyday.
SPEAKER_00Ain't no sunshine. And no, no, no, no, no. You can't just blow right past that. Ain't no sunshine.
SPEAKER_06Ain't no going away. I don't know what the words are, but anyways, the other one.
SPEAKER_04When she's gone. She's always gonna be a little bit.
SPEAKER_06Man, that's a great song.
SPEAKER_02Can you edit my part out?
SPEAKER_06The other one is you know what? There's people that can sing into the Lord, and there's people that can make a joyful noise. My brother in Christ, you can do neither. All right. You know what? I was just focused on the 79.
SPEAKER_03I didn't think about the you know, you got us there. Yeah, but then nowhere did we got it going.
SPEAKER_06You know what? We're just living in the moment. That's it. That's what we're doing.
SPEAKER_03I think our listeners appreciate that about us.
SPEAKER_06Yes, absolutely. Well, anyway, speaking of our listeners, happy Thursday. It's another Sermons on the side. You got Brad, you got Richard, and we just love y'all to death.
SPEAKER_03Y'all are awesome.
SPEAKER_06We love it.
SPEAKER_03Best audience there is.
SPEAKER_06I I need to off the rip from the top. Come on, I need to issue an official Sermons on the side apology.
SPEAKER_03We should have apology music in the background.
SPEAKER_06You know, just like some somber like piano music. I last on last week's episode of Sermon on the Side, during the segment, Richard asked me what was uh an annoying song. What the most annoying song that I could ever come up with. Uh and stick around for today's episode because today's segment we're gonna find out from Richards. Don't you know? Uh, but I said, and I, you know, stick with it, lovely day by Bill Withers. Well, I went in on this song and with Bill. And after this past week, with the help of my Sermons on the side community, indeed. By the way, y'all come after Richard as much as y'all come after me. I think they will. I did not realize that one sir Bill Withers was responsible for ain't no sunshine and no, no, no, no, no.
SPEAKER_00You can't just blow right past that. Again, just say when she gone.
SPEAKER_06Ain't no red going away. I don't know what the words are, but anyways, the other one she's gone.
SPEAKER_04She's always gone too long.
SPEAKER_06Oh god, that's a great song.
SPEAKER_02Can you edit my part out?
SPEAKER_06No, keeping it in.
SPEAKER_02I can't sing.
SPEAKER_06The other one is you know what? There's people that can sing into the Lord, and there's people that can make a joyful noise. My brother in Christ, you can do neither. All right.
SPEAKER_03So hey, I can carry a tune. It's just when I unload it that is the problem.
SPEAKER_07The other one is lean on me. When you're not strong, and I'll be your friend. What are you gonna help me do? Carry on.
SPEAKER_03And everybody's really happy that I didn't sing my part. I just spoke about it.
SPEAKER_06So the sermon on the side, official apology is to the great, late Bill Withers and his family. I put all the respect back on his name, but however, I doubled down on Lovely Day, that song, man.
SPEAKER_03Yes, yes, indeed.
SPEAKER_06It might be enough for me to change my mind, but it's not because of the greatness of those other songs. So I apologize. There we go. The first official apology from Sermonless Side. Almost poetically, we knew it would come from me. But there you go.
SPEAKER_03Well, I will say this, Brad. You opened, you brought us in today by saying this is episode 79. And every time we kind of take a look at all the episodes that we've uh released, we still just chuckle. Like, this how do we how does this even happen, man? This is crazy. But it makes us so grateful that there's so many friends are out there listening to us every week. We can't thank y'all enough. But being that it is the 79th episode, you know what that means for next week? We're gonna have us a special guest interview.
SPEAKER_06I'm very excited about next week.
SPEAKER_03Are we gonna tell them who it is?
SPEAKER_06No, we gotta come back for that one. Episode 80, an incredible conversation, an incredible man and uh family here in the Columbus area, an incredible ministry leader. Um, so we're very, very excited about this conversation. You guys need to come back for episode 80.
SPEAKER_03Indeed. But you know what is super cool about episode 79, which is right now. What's awesome about that is that it is coming. This sermon on the side is coming from one, Brad Williams. Brad uh texted me recently and just said, oh bro, something something just went down. We just had an experience, and it's something about our your daughter, Becca Joy. And he's like, I can't wait. I said, I can't wait to hear it. He can't wait to share it. It is time, my brother.
SPEAKER_06Dude, why does it always involve Becca? And why does it always involve a type of injury or like a crazy freak situation? So this happened not this past weekend, but the weekend before at the time of release. Got it. For our conversation, this happened just a few days ago. Okay. Um, it's on Saturday, and we've got nothing planned the whole day. We wake up, we're having a slow morning, cook breakfast, do our thing. At high noon, Becca has been invited to a birthday party for one of her dance class friends. Go ahead. And the birthday invitation extended to our whole family and go over to this friend's house. They were gonna have a water slide and all sorts of fun. And, anyways, we were gonna go over there for a couple hours, come back to the house, easy. I don't know what we had planned in the afternoon, but clearly that got derailed. Uh, so we go to this this party. And dude, when I tell you that from the moment that Becca woke up that morning, okay, she was so excited. About the party? About the party. I can't wait. I got invited to a birthday party. Now she's been invited to other birthday parties, but this one, I mean, she was so excited.
SPEAKER_03So something about it had her just geared. Correct.
SPEAKER_06And and earlier in the week, Lisa, like any wonderful mother, would take Becca to the store to pick out a present for this friend. And tried to keep it on theme for both who Becca is to this friend, but also the theme of the birthday for the friend. And anyways, we've just been gearing up for Saturday. The buildup has been a thing. And when I tell you that when we got in the car to drive to this friend's house, I'm talking about it's like maybe 15 minutes away, okay? 15 different times. Are we there yet? And I mean, she's not the are we yet are we there yet, kid? She's really not even, but I mean, you could just tell her little heart, she was just so excited about this. We get there, we unpack the car with the dad was hard at work outside getting all the water slides hooked up, and he had trimmed back some some of the part of their land so that way all the cars could park and so he did yard work. That's right. On a little uh sorry, a little throwback to last week's episode. That's the second throwback uh in as many minutes it seemed. No, not really, but uh yeah, so we're we're coming to the house, we not we go in, and the friend and Becca, oh, they just embrace, they act like they haven't seen each other in decades. And you know, oh, by the way, Shep is really, really excited too. He's just a fun little young brother that gets to tag along to all the fun stuff. And uh they're both in their swimsuits, and uh man, this water slide looks awesome in their front yard. I mean, it must have been 16, 18-foot water slide, and it's just got this big center lane and this big just you know, area at the bottom where you just crash into the water and splashes, and you know, you do your own thing. And uh we're getting everything ready inside. And well, the dad comes in and goes, All right, kids, it's time for us to go outside. So kids are just running. There's probably, I don't know, seven, eight, nine, ten kids, and all of a sudden they just start flying up the side of the, you know, where it's like the little inflatable, like the stairs. Yeah. And uh one kid goes down and they get out of the way, and another kid comes down and they get out of the way. Now, I was thinking, I I went out there. Most of the parents are inside, but I went out there because I just want to, you know, Becca and slides. Now, if if our listeners recall, there was a fear at Grave. The fear at Great Wolf Lodge involved a much larger slide, but some fear and anxiety as it relates to water slides. But that was not the issue. The issue is that Shep went down first. Woo-hoo! Okay, and as soon as he came down, Becca came down. Oh now, I thought to myself, ooh, we really don't need to be going down like two at a time, or certainly not right after one, you know. So I was like, I'm gonna walk over to the slide and just kind of grab both of them say, Hey, let's make sure that we wait, you know, da-da-da. Well, as I turn the corner, Becca just lets out this, I mean, ear piercing scream. Oh boy. She puts her hand up to her mouth, and when she releases it, dude, it was I mean, there was blood everywhere.
SPEAKER_00Gusher.
SPEAKER_06Gushing. And so I scoop her up. Shep's crying too, but he can at least navigate walking. So I'm telling him to come over here. We go sit on this little porch area. I sit down, and we just immediately put like some napkins up on her face and trying to determine is this nose, is this face, is this lips. No, it's just all I know is that my ears hurt because she's screaming so much. Well, here's the thing when I had picked her up, I just kind of threw her over my shoulder. Yeah, I didn't walk maybe 10 feet to go like sit down, and then she's in my lap, you know. And then when I pull her kind of off of my shoulder so that way I can look at her face to face, my brother in Christ. My whole right shoulder red.
unknownOh, bro.
SPEAKER_06I'm talking about this is like one of those bad moments. I'm like, all right, we're gonna have to go to the ER. Let's assess the damage. Now, thankfully, it wasn't an ER visit. Oh, she had gotten hit right above her, the like her incisor on the left side of her mouth.
SPEAKER_03That's the uh thing.
SPEAKER_06Yeah, yeah, and she still had her yeah, and she still has her baby teeth, but man, she's got like two or three teeth over there that are now loose. Subsequently, afterwards, we've gone to the dentist. The dentist has said that there's no damage, everything's fine. Those teeth probably will fall out a little bit sooner rather than later, but that the permanent teeth behind them have are fully intact, nobody's there. But man, in the moment we were freaking out. And mommy and daddy were trying to do everything that we could to stay calm. Let's just focus, let's just try to stop the bleeding. She's crying. And uh after we can see, I mean, it's it's it's gnarly looking, dude. It's like this big cut right above her tooth on her actual gum. I'll show you a picture in a second. Or after the episode. Do I do I have to look? No, you don't. If you're like me, I don't want to see squirmish, you know, video, you know, videos or pictures or whatever. Um, and it got all bruised, and oh dude, we went home and the whole rest of the day was like popsicles, ice cream, comfort, goodness, we watched shows in mommy and daddy's bed. Like, I mean, it was just you know, cuddle central. Yeah. Now, like any child, she perked right up the next day. We went to church like normal. She's been eating fine, and you know, the dentist, she's been she's been great. But on that day, holy moly, you talk about just thrown into the fire. And every parent has that story, and and and most sometimes, but you know, there's oftentimes it's much worse than that. And so we're very, very grateful that it wasn't anything serious. But the moment that I want to talk about is after about 10 or so minutes of me holding her. This is at the party, she has not done anything but scream. I'm trying to calm her down, or putting some ice on her neck, you know, just blowing, kind of cooling her off. I'm just trying to, you know, she hasn't left daddy's lap. She's she finally calms down just for a second to kind of catch her breath. And she kind of is looking around. And and rightfully so, all of these other kids who initially checked on Becca, they've gone right back to the slide. And Shep is not really sure what to do. He kind of goes down a slide, kind of comes, checks on Becca. Um but Becca looks at me and and tearfully and just heartbreakingly, she says, Everybody's having fun but me. Oh dude. You talk about a parent's heart, a father's heart just shattering in a million pieces. You're like, I have, I have watched, I have watched this child for days, certainly for the last several hours. I mean, just be so excited about this. And in her five-year-old, almost six-year-old life, this might be the most like disappointment that she's ever really wrestled with in the grand scheme of her life. But still, of course, it's a drop in the bucket. But in her world right now, and so I'm thinking to myself, it's like, how do I A, navigate a conversation with a five and a half year old about expectations and dealing with disappointment? And, you know, do I bust up Proverbs 13 and hope deferred and you know exactly, and all those different things. But man, it just it really got me thinking about how so often in our life we view our circumstances through the lens of what other people are go are doing. Does that make sense?
SPEAKER_03Yes, because that was her statement.
SPEAKER_06Yeah, everybody else is having fun but me. And yeah, and it's like, man, everybody else's marriage is going great, everybody else's jobs, they're getting promotions. Everybody else's life, they seem to be doing this, and everybody else's life, they seem to be doing that. And man, I I all we knew to do is to take that sweet little hurt girl home and to just love on her and say, yes, sweetheart, this disappointment, this sadness that you're experiencing is real. But mommy and daddy are here. We love you, we're gonna take care of you. Jesus loves you, and he's not going anywhere. And so I don't know where that like intersects from a sermon on the side perspective, but I know it's there, and that's why I wanted to bring it to the expert. Oh, I mean, to the professional. And oh, by the way, ladies and gentlemen, this is cold turkey. Richard hasn't heard this story once yet. And so, anyways, there you go, sir. What are your thoughts, man?
SPEAKER_03Man, I a couple of things. I think about the statement she made. Everybody else is having fun except me. There's a couple of thoughts I have for that. It would have been enough. I'm sorry, it would have been hard enough for her just to have dealt with the fact that okay, my day's pretty much over. So I'm not gonna get to enjoy everything. Uh, the slide, the party, all the things I've been looking building up in my mind. So that's hard enough. And so it just got layered by what she was seeing in her moment of loss. So she had lost her day, and probably she's figuring that out. Like, I don't think I'm getting back up there, or I don't think whatever. So it wasn't so in other words, it wasn't just this I'm jealous. It really wasn't that. It was in her loss from her sitting where she was sitting in your lap, she lost her day. This day of days.
SPEAKER_06Day of days, great way to describe it.
SPEAKER_03So she loses that, and then she happens to visually see and audibly hear everybody. We aren't we and it so I don't think this is just a little girl acting jealous. This is a little girl dealing with a loss and then layering a truth because she wasn't lying, right? She was like, This is the real bad thing is the loss. But on top of that, yeah, now I've I literally see everyone else having fun. And so that that that that strikes me that uh I find myself I think we find ourselves in those kind of situations where we are we are dealing with something that has disrupted us, maybe even something that has traumatized us. And that's hard enough. And the Heavenly Father, what he's doing, the work he is doing, is helping us with the thing that has just happened. So that's the imagery I get of her sitting in your lap. So we are technically speaking, or spiritually speaking, we are sitting in the Father's lap trying to deal with our uh what we've lost, something that is lost. And just by the fact that we live and breathe, and we have eyes and ears, and maybe social media, and and so now we're our real wound, our real pain is because of what we've lost. But in addition to that, now we're uh our what's true about that other people aren't dealing with the same loss as I am, right? At least the ones I'm seeing right now, and so that that weighs down upon it, and that's true. But when we obsess, if we obsess about what about that being true, those two things being true, I've lost something, and everybody else is doing great, apparently we obsess over that, then all kinds of crazy stuff starts to grow in our hearts, and that's that's what brings me to my next thought. But uh, if you have another thought, I don't know.
SPEAKER_06No, I I want to kind of camp out there for a second because it's it's so good because you're exactly right. And and again, props to Lisa Williams for just being an absolute incredible parent and just kind of helping level set what her and I's role were the rest of the day, which was not to convince Becca that she was wrong that everybody else wasn't having fun. It was to address the loss. And man, I have used this verse that I'm about to present to you. I have used this in so many different scenarios and so many different moments where it has been applicable, but I don't know if I've ever truly appreciated it in the way that it has impacted us this week with Becca, and it's Psalms 34:18. The Lord is near to the brokenhearted and he saves those who are crushed in spirit. You know what this verse does not say? That God dismisses our disappointment. It doesn't say that God tries to convince us that the loss never took place, it doesn't say that God's trying to just, oh, well, turn the other cheek and let's just move on. It says, no, no, no. I, as the heaven, as the creator, I'm gonna step down into that moment with you. Yes, I'm gonna save you, and yes, I'm gonna, but I'm gonna be in that with you. And man, there was just a lot of truth into that for me as we were just kind of navigating this with Becca, because running parallel to this has been a whole nother sleep song. With Becca, where we've tried to over and over again just kind of tell her, hey, you don't have to be upset in the middle of the night. Not only are you in a room with your brother, not only are you right across the way from mommy and daddy, but most importantly, God is with you. And even now, like, bro, as that day was kind of happening and the days subsequently since, she has been rehearsing that God is with me and God is healing my mouth. And I told her the fun fact that the part of our body that heals the quickest is the inside of our mouth, which is just kind of strange. This I did not know. That's a fun fact for you. But she loves it because she has been telling everybody that God's been healing my mouth and God's been healing my teeth and all this other stuff. And I love, I so love that she is equating that moment of being saved, not with daddy, not with mommy, but with Jesus saving her. And man, if we can learn to like kind of wash, rinse, and repeat that process in our life. And I want to get to your second point because there's a whole nother point here. But that that don't let's not miss that step of sitting in the father's lap because the father is wanting us, he is inviting us to sit in his lap so that he can be near to us who are brokenhearted and to save us who are crushed in spirit. That's huge.
SPEAKER_03That is so good. That is so oh, I love it. I love it. Listen, the the other thought I have is I am so grooving on the mental picture of her uh being doted on for the hours uh after you guys got home. Yeah, the fun thing. Trying to soothe her, yeah, you know, and I love that image. Getting to do some special fun things because I'm pretty sure. Especially after you just told me of how she's framing this the story as she talks to people, she's talking about this thing and Jesus is healing me. I love that frame. But because of that, and then because of how we know our minds work, and especially when we're younger. Um what I think what's gonna be the most memorable? What are gonna be her takeaways over the next few years? And even eventually, let's say, you know, in high school, college, and adult life, she might, as as the story might get told around the Thanksgiving table, she will probably look back at whatever she remembers.
SPEAKER_06Yeah.
SPEAKER_03But especially now, she will she will remember that was a that was a highlight. I mean, that was like a that was like a top 10 fun night for her. And and I just I dig it. I dig it that you guys saw the opportunity and that you chose to do that. You chose to do special things for her, uh to comfort and soothe. But I just think that all of it is good the the equation is gonna equal to her looking back on it as uh as a as a God thing, that Jesus healed my mouth, that I had this all-star night, yeah, watching the shows or movies or whatever, and in mommy and daddy's bed. And do you feel me on that?
SPEAKER_06I do, man. I really do.
SPEAKER_03And it doesn't minimize none of what I'm saying is to say she shouldn't have been so upset when that happened.
SPEAKER_06Right.
SPEAKER_03No, no, no, like you said before, God doesn't minimize the pain or the loss or the trauma. What God does, he's He meets us in it. And then what you did gave her the opportunity to see good and blessing and positivity. And that's a really good vibe for a child to learn, a good rhythm. Okay, we're gonna sit in our pain, we're gonna acknowledge the loss, we can't make the loss go away. But you know what? We we do have a lot of blessings in our lives. Isn't that how you and I in in our adult lives uh find some comfort in the midst of loss or trauma? We say, Yeah, I've got this is tough, and I don't know how this is gonna play or how this story is gonna end, this section of the story. But look at all that God has done for me. So that's a beautiful rhythm.
SPEAKER_06And and isn't it just like the enemy that one of his grade A ways to try to get into that and mess it all up is to play the comparison game. God is to look at all these other people that are having fun. Yeah. And man, whether whether or not I've got a daughter that's listening to this in five or 10 or 15 years, or whether there's a listener that's just really, really being impacted by this moment, man, if we if we can stop playing the comparison game and we allow ourselves to be ministered by the father, that's when heart change will will take place. Because if we're praying for a healed marriage, are you focused on the healing or are you focused on the healer? If you're praying for uh promotion, a promotion at work, are you focused on the promotion or on the promoter? If we're focused on people around us that seem to have stuff and to have happiness and to have all of these, you know, things, are we focused on the flesh? Or are we focused on our faith in Christ? And I would just say if we can stop playing, and I'm listening I'm speaking to nobody else but to myself right now. Come on. If we can stop playing the comparison game and we can allow ourselves to be Psalms 34, 18 ministered by our Father, then that's where true heart change comes back. It reminds me a lot of what you talked about last week with the yard work, hard work, heartwork dynamic.
unknownYeah.
SPEAKER_06Because we're talking about surface level things when God's going, Hey, I want to speak to the roots.
unknownYes. Oh, that's good.
SPEAKER_06And I'm just, I'm so grateful that in that moment when it welled up in Becca, everybody's having fun but me. And there's the part of me that goes, Yeah. But then there's a part of me that wants to try to somehow logically convince her that that's not true. You know, I'm not having fun. Says, hey, more important than that, man, our heavenly father wants to minister to our hearts right now. He welcomes us. Just kind of word vomiting, just kind of being real, being open, being vulnerable before him. Yeah, but oh that's yeah, it requires focusing on him rather than our circumstances. Brother, what a beautiful, a powerful story.
SPEAKER_03Thank you for bringing that. Thank you, Becca Joy, for being so awesome. And uh thank you for uh to the great Lisa, of course, for just doing Lisa Williams things. Yeah, but uh boy, that's that's taken us on a journey.
SPEAKER_06Oh man, thank you for doing that. I will be remiss if I didn't give one special shout out to to one Sheppy. Shepard is such a good big and little brother, and he takes care of his sisters, and so he's done a great job of taking care of them. So if Shep happens to be listening to this in a decade, Daddy's proud of you and I love you. Uh all right, so just like we normally do, we're going into segment time, but like this whole episode is flipped upside down, it will be me kind of quarterbacking the segment, but as promised from the from the get-go, this is a little part two from our last week's part one. You know, what are some annoying songs? So, Mr. Richard, do you have what we got?
SPEAKER_03A top one, a top three, a top I've got uh I'm gonna mention by name, really. I think maybe just two. Just two. Okay. And and the first one, I actually need to go to a Christmas song. All right. There is a Christmas song now that gets a whole lot of play. This is not one of the super gimmicky, silly. What you know, the silly ones like I want a hippopotamus for Christmas. You know, that's just that's such a category thing. This is a mainstream Christmas song that when it comes on, I turn it off. I will sit in Christmas silence. Solidarity rather than listen to this song. And here it is. Christmas silence. There's there's silence, and then there's Christmas time. Seriously, though.
SPEAKER_06Are you ready for it? You don't know how ready I am.
SPEAKER_03I'm gonna catch so much flack for this.
SPEAKER_06Not as much as I got last week, but Bill Withers.
SPEAKER_07Sheesh.
SPEAKER_03All right, here it is. It's Felice Navidad.
SPEAKER_07Oh. See, it's already become that's not easy that that can't be in the same category as hippopotamus.
SPEAKER_03No, Felice Navidad is it gets tons of radio play. I mean, it's in the hippopotamus. No, that's again an outlier. This is a mainstream Christmas song, and I'll not have it in my car. Feliz in my Navidad. All right, keep it going. You know, in the trumpets and everything.
SPEAKER_06Prospero año felicidad. Yeah, you didn't know I was by lingo. I was gonna say music music lingo, but yeah, I got nothing.
SPEAKER_03So I I just I'm I'm sorry, I'm just being honest with everybody. Come at me because I know I deserve it.
SPEAKER_06Yeah, come on, man. That one's almost as bad as carrot cake.
SPEAKER_03Okay.
SPEAKER_06Everybody likes Felice Navidad. Well, except Rico. There you go.
SPEAKER_03Which the irony is just ridiculous. So, uh, it and then other than that, look, I generally disdain gimmicky kind of songs, you know, like Macarena and you know, silly, whatever kind of songs. Um, anything if you know late 90s, uh early 2000s, anything by the uh band called the B-52s, run for your life. Okay. It's they're just so yucky. And and I'm talking about annoying in that they get stuck in your head.
SPEAKER_00Yeah.
SPEAKER_03And they won't go away. Um, and I and I will give you one more before I give you my my number one most most hated. Okay.
SPEAKER_06So at least Felice Nowadah is not number one.
SPEAKER_03Right. No, no, it's not. Um, but uh here's the thing, and I don't even know the name of the song. I'm just gonna tell you.
SPEAKER_07I don't even want to Google it. Well, I'm just gonna go. To give it the respect.
SPEAKER_03I don't want to watch you uh whip, and I don't uh nor do I want to watch you nay nay. So I don't know what you're you know what? That's I hate that song.
SPEAKER_07Now watch me whip. Yes, that's me nay nay me whip.
SPEAKER_03I just lost my headphones. Neither whipping nor nay naying has any place in my life. Okay.
SPEAKER_06So uh brother, if you whipped once, your back would be out for a week.
SPEAKER_03You're not kidding. All right, so this is it, the ultimate uh song that I hate.
SPEAKER_06I love that you said I have two, and you're better rattled in three and an artist group. My man said, here's a top three and an artist group for my top two.
SPEAKER_03But this is it. Um, and it is uh that the happy song.
SPEAKER_00Oh annoying finger, it's like chewing tinfolds. Okay.
SPEAKER_06Listen, I'ma I'ma go there with you. Okay. And here's why. All right, all right. Because you know how last week I said it was lovely day? Yeah. And that was Shep's song. I'm talking about for a good year. Oh, yeah. It was every time you wanted to listen to the song, it was that one. Becca's is happy.
unknownOh no.
SPEAKER_06So you talk about a car ride where I was listening to Happy and Lovely Day. Because I'd arrive somewhere and I'd be mad in the world. Because you just listened to Happy Day and Happy and Lovely Day. Why are you mad? The most annoying songs.
SPEAKER_04Oh my god.
SPEAKER_06So you know what? I'm gonna go there with you. Okay. All right, I'm gonna go.
SPEAKER_00I draw the line of Felice Navidad, but I'm with you on so because I'm happy if you play like a little scrum.
SPEAKER_06I don't know, whatever.
SPEAKER_01And then in the background, you know, and he's singing this thing.
SPEAKER_03So if you're listening, if you stayed with us to the end, and now that song is stuck in your head, you're welcome.
SPEAKER_06Yeah, good luck. Our gift to you. And tell you what, why don't you just listen to this episode once or twice in the beginning? You can get our listens up, and you get that intro music on the uh under your skin there.
SPEAKER_03Hey, but don't we need to hear from more of our listeners?
SPEAKER_06Tell you what, I got from this. We want to hear from all you guys. Come on, lay it on us, the most annoying songs that you've got. No Brad and Lisa music allowed.
SPEAKER_03Love it, love it. Hey, remember, since you're now wrapping up episode 79, next week a special guest interview that you are going to love, and we will look forward to being together next week.
SPEAKER_06Sermons on the side.
SPEAKER_01Should we hey, should we like do some uh like some production and do background music every time my song is mentioned like I don't know what the copyright is, but oh there you go.
SPEAKER_03Knowing those songs, we would get the whole podcast stripped down to nothing. Right, but this was this was fun. And tell Becca Joy that I am so proud of.
SPEAKER_06Oh man, for me too.
SPEAKER_03Enduring and being brave.
SPEAKER_06You talk about like because she was brave and she endured. Today, actually, she went to the dentist with Lisa, and afterwards they stopped at the icy girl right there on double pitches. And Lisa sent me a picture and was like, got some special alone time with Becca. Becca couldn't have had a bigger smile on her, but I mean she just you talk about just man, I feel that.
SPEAKER_03I feel that look at that. Look at that. Hey, I need to know about that flavor. What what what cotton candy?
SPEAKER_06Oh I don't even have I mean, I just a hundred percent.
SPEAKER_03You just know that strong choice, by the way, right? For Icy Girl, go cotton candy. Got a couple of colors in it.
SPEAKER_01Dude, that's outstanding. Good stuff.
