Hey, welcome Chap Souls Podcast. I am riding here with Carlo Zuzik. Hopefully I pronounced that right. Owner of Bill Manor. 314. Masonic Temple.
SPEAKER_01The historically Masonic Temple, yep.
SPEAKER_02Alright. So I mean great places. I haven't been to the temple yet, but you know, I love Bill Manor. I've been out there a few times. Oh yeah. Um Entity Explorers. You still with them?
SPEAKER_01Yeah, we do Entity Explorers. Uh we usually shoot one video a month. We release one. Um and do orbs still, Hire Researchers of Bandit Spirits, which is uh you know, we go out and help families and stuff like that.
SPEAKER_02Nice. So I I got to meet Carlo a couple of times, you know, going out to Bill Manor and you know, he always has great stories to tell. Always always fun to talk to. So let's go back to the beginning. How did you get into the paranormal and how did you become an owner of Bill Manor?
SPEAKER_01Well, what what got me started in paranormal is when I was a kid. Um I was having uh I was about 12, 13 years old. I was having personal experiences in the home. Um, because my parents came here from uh uh Slovenia, Yugoslavia, and uh when they moved here, um, you know, their dream was to uh buy a home, just like any American dream would be. And uh they ended up buying one in Cleveland. And um I remember like my first experience there, I would hear like walking around, I would hear voices, um, and it freaked me up because you know, back then you really didn't have nobody to talk to about it, you know. And uh so then all of a sudden I would start seeing the shadow figure walking in the kitchen, and um, and that really scared me because my dad would leave for work about 6 a.m. And you know, I'd get up and give him a hug and tell him have a good day, and I'd go lay back down. And in the house we had, I had no door, so I could literally see through the living room through the you know, through the other door, I'd see the kitchen. And uh after he'd leave, I would see the shadow figure moving around in the kitchen. Man, it freaked me out because you know I always thought somebody broke in because it was a rough area, and uh so you know, later in years, you know, I learned that you know there was something in the house. I learned that a guy hung himself in the basement and um he was a wife beater and stuff. So I think all that energy was left behind. And I think what I actually was seeing was his residual walking towards that basement because that's the direction he would always walk and go into his hanging is what I you know what I would come up nowadays thinking that's what it was.
SPEAKER_00Yeah.
SPEAKER_01But uh, but yeah, so that you know, after that, I kind of, you know, we wouldn't talk about it anymore, you know. I would just kind of brush it off. And as I got older, um, I had a friend, and it was like it was October, you know, the spooky season. And uh uh he's like, hey, let's go ghost watching. We had no equipment. This was in the 80s, so we had no equipment, we had nothing. I mean, we didn't have flashlights, so we went to the cemetery down in uh Olmsted Falls, and uh I remember uh we all there was five of us, we all went down into this, it was like down in this valley, and um as we're you know, we get out of the car, we're walking around the cemetery, it's pretty dark out there, and then all of a sudden we heard something walking on the gravel. And all five of us ran to the car because we thought maybe it was a caretaker, it could be a cop, I don't know. You know, we're all scared. We didn't think ghosts whatsoever. We just thought somebody was literally walking around out there. And uh, as we got in the car, and and this is an image I'll never forget, if I can embed it in my brain, but uh we started rolling forward, and there's five of us in a car, and we're waiting for somebody to come running out at us and tell us to get the hell out of the you know, off the property. And all of a sudden, there's a mausoleum with the spotlight that was coming down, and underneath that spotlight was a lady kneeling down. She had a veil, she was she had her hands crossed, like she was praying, she had a rosary hanging from her pinkies, and but you could see the tree line right through her. And all five of us seen it, we're like, holy crap, we're freaking out. You know, we took off, we're like, What the hell did we just see? You know, we were just like freaking out, man. So, you know, we talked about it for a few days and we went back during the day because all of a sudden now you're thinking maybe it was a statue, you know, you just never know. And and there was no holograms back then or anything like that that would scare you. But uh, we went back and there was nothing in that spot. The only thing that the fate, the way she was facing towards the mausoleum, there was a statue of Virgin Mary that was probably like three foot tall that was facing her way, and that's what we think we saw was a nun. And from that point, when we seen that, you know, I was like, man, this is you know, I'd love to get into this, but you know, but we didn't have internet back then and stuff. So years later, you know, once the internet came around, I started doing more research and stuff. I found a team and then we joined, and from there on I've just been doing it and forever now, you know, it's been almost 20 years. So yeah.
SPEAKER_02Have you ever like that's a full-body apparition, obviously. That's very detailed. Have you ever come across anything that detailed again?
SPEAKER_01Yes. Uh one time at the Beale Manor. Um, so what happened is when I first got it, so when I ended up purchasing, so go back, I'm gonna go back a little bit here. When I the reason I purchased the Beale Manor wasn't for ghost hunts. It had nothing to do with ghost hunts. I had no clue this place was haunted. I had no clue what this place even was, other than I was told it was a bed and breakfast. So I wanted a bigger house because I obviously you've seen some of my collection, but I collect a lot of weird things. That's just some of my stuff. I got tons of other things, and I wanted a bigger house to where I can hang things up, you know, and enjoy them, you know, because right now everything's in boxes or put away. You can't, you know, I can't see none of my paintings or anything like that. So um I ended up looking for a bigger house and I came across that place, and I was like, man, this would be so cool to own something like this because and it was at the right price. And uh so I ended up buying it, and that's when I first when I first got the keys. I bought it in 2022. And when I first got the keys, I came in that very first day. I'm standing in there and I could hear somebody walk around upstairs. So I called Heather, I'm like, I think somebody's in the house. She's like, go up there and look. I'm like, I went up there and look. So I started yelling up the stairs, and nobody's responding. You know, I'm thinking, is there somebody like walking around my house? I didn't know. So I went up there and there was nobody upstairs. So that should have been my first sign, right? But then uh about I want to say about a month of owning the house, um, I cut grass on Sundays, and uh it was around one o'clock in the afternoon, it was a hot day. I come through the front door as I open the front door, there's a boy standing on a landing. Now I'm looking at him like I'm looking at you, and he never looked at me, he was looking down the whole time, and I could see him in full detail, and then he just disappeared, and I'm like, holy crap, did I really just see that? So I went home and told Heather, I was like, I think I seen a boy in the house. She goes, This house is driving you crazy, blah, blah, blah. So fast forward a couple weeks after they had a group there. I never told anybody the story. And I read the book, the journals that I have, and I read them the next day, and the woman wrote, Hey, I seen a boy with red hair walk through the attic door and disappear. And what I saw on the landing was a boy with red hair, black suit, and white shirt standing there. He looked like he was about 14 or 15 years old. Again, he never even looked at me. He was looking straight down, never made eye contact with me. And that was the second thing, that was the second time I ever seen something like that.
SPEAKER_02Did you know the history of that place before you bought it?
SPEAKER_01Or no, the only thing I knew it was a bed and breakfast. And once I started learning, you know, started noticing things, obviously, being a researcher myself, I was like, there's got to be more to this story. You know, I mean, was it like a lot of people died out of bed and breakfast or what? I don't know. So when I started doing all the research, it's when I uncovered what it was. You know, Jerome Beal owned it, you know, and then the Woof family owned it, then it became an orphanage back in uh in the 70s for like 10 years. Um, and then after that, it became a group home/slash orphanage up to 1991, and then 92-93 is a group home for adult mentally challenged men. And then it finally shut down. Um, you know, talking to a historian, he told me a boy either committed suicide, accidental death there. Uh, he said probably more than one child passed away there. They did have sick children there. So that's kind of where it started, you know. I was like, well, crap, man, this is, you know, what's the chances of finding a home like that with that kind of history, you know? So the house needed a lot of work, you know, and I was just like, man, you know, maybe I'll open it up. And if people come, great. If not, you know, I've done a lot of historical places where I raised money for them doing charity events. So I, you know, I opened it up and here I am today. You know, people are enjoying it and get to experience some paranormal. I can't promise ghosts, obviously, but you know, some people have some really cool experiences there.
SPEAKER_02So weird question though, but you're looking for a house to live in. Did this house seem to call you, or it was just it was the size and the money?
SPEAKER_01The size definitely caught my eye, but the the whole story behind the whole purchasing of it was um so I I made an offer on the house, and I went to the bank, and the bank told me no. And I was like, well shit, you know, I mean, because it needed work, you know, it was outdated, and you know, obviously bank loans, they want, you know, they want stuff that's livable right away, I guess, or whatever, up to date. So I was like, forget it, you know. So I kept looking, but I was it would always draw me back on I'm going to Realtor.com and always go back and look at it. And I'm like, man, you know, I was hoping he dropped the price, whatnot. So, and I'd work literally five minutes from there. So I would drive past her every day and look at it. I was like, man, I just love to have that place. You know, it's just something about it, you know. It's not, it's not is more or less not because I look creepy, but it was more or less because I love old homes. And the the other funny part was my ex-girlfriend told me I'd never be able to afford a house in that neighborhood. So I remember we drove by. I was like, when I first moved to Fremont, we'd drive by and I'd be like, damn. She'd be like, I don't know what you're damn. You can never afford a house out here. So that was like, you know, that was that was kind of embedded in my brain too, you know. But uh so one day I just woke up, man, I was like, you know, I'm gonna make a cash offer, and you know, I'll I'll just give him a lower price on it. If he takes it, great. If not, I guess I'll just keep looking. And and I made uh a really low offer on it, and the realtor told me he'll think about it for a couple days over the weekend, and he'll let me know Monday. And Monday came, he called me and said he's gonna take my offer. And I was like, Wow, he didn't even like try to get more money out of it, you know. And I was like, Cool. So I jumped on it right away, you know, and here I am today with a heart at home.
SPEAKER_02I mean, Bill Manor is one of those names that you know it pops up everywhere now. Um, I don't know if you expected that when you first started it. Most people don't. Not at all. You know, I messed a mentioned Bill Manor and first words out of people's mouths, I love that place. Yeah, that's that's what they say. I love that place.
SPEAKER_01Well, you know, the whole idea behind it, um, I I didn't just open it up um for just for ghost hunt, it is for ghost hunts, but I opened it up because I wanted people to enjoy it, but I also have that mindset of how would I want to go to a location and how would I want to be treated? And that's the big thing with you know with the Beal Manor is I open it up thinking as a paranormal investigator, not as a business guy or a contractor. You know, some of these places that are open are run by non-paranormal people and they have that different mindset. So I kind of went with the idea of I'm gonna open it up like how I would want to be treated going somewhere else. And that's how I run it.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, I mean, you can tell. I mean, it's when I first went there, you know, I took my brother first time ever doing a paranormal investigation. And uh, you know, it just doesn't look, I mean, it looks big, but not as big as you think it is once you step inside. And just the history of the place. And you know, you ask, like, hey, do you want a tour? And I'm like, no. And I, you know, I told you straight up, like, if I get something, you're getting two for one because I'm coming back. And we came back. Right. That's what it is. And I don't know, that's right. I remember your brother talking. He he loves that place.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, the second part could get creepy.
SPEAKER_02Yeah. Um, it's not creepy though. It's it's comforting, kind of, to me. Like the three times I've been there.
SPEAKER_01Isn't it? Yeah, it's myself and just preach some shit.
SPEAKER_02It feels like kids are.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, it just feels like somebody's watching you all the time. It's just uh, you know, you gotta remember I'm there a lot, so I try not to experience too much because I have to deal with the house all the time, cleaning and all the other fun stuff. So you know, I I kind of just go in, do my thing, and I just want to leave. Um but I do want to experience stuff, obviously, too, but it the less the better for me.
SPEAKER_02Yeah. Um, yeah, we'll get um recently being renovated. Um, I know you can't talk about that, but I saw someone did post pictures of it. I was like, oh man.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, I could talk about it. Um, they just don't want pictures being posted. Um, it was my fault with that young lady. I I never told her not to do it. I didn't even think about it that day. But uh um HGTV came in. It's a new series called, it's a brand new series that's gonna start. It's called uh uh My Very Haunted Renovation. Um they took over the house for over a month and a half. Uh they had six designers um living in there, um, working in there. I mean, they took they actually stayed in the house for 31 days. And because you always hear about renovation, stir-up activity. So they wanted to document all that, and they had a ton of cameras up and stuff like that. So uh you know everything in there was like a challenge. Um, I know they had uh they had Anna Camp, which was the host, which she's in like the new screen movie. Um, they also had uh uh five movie stars come in and they were judges, and the two I know for sure are Elvira and Eli Roth were there, but I don't know who the other ones were. And uh they would judge their work. So they made the house it more like uh a creepy gothy look to it. It looks really cool. I like it. Um it gave it a you know the the house needed a facelift no matter what, either I did it or somebody else did it, and this helped out a lot. And uh and that I've been told they've had some really cool experiences there too.
SPEAKER_02So have you felt the house energy change at all since the renovation?
SPEAKER_01No, I think it's about the same. Um, I know the first night um after we got the keys back, Heather and I went in there and did an EVP session, and she asked, uh, do you like what they did with the house? And the recording we got was a woman saying, Please go. So I don't know if she was happy or not. And then she asked, uh, did they treat you well? And a man's voice goes, No. So they I don't know, I don't know if they, you know, the spirits kind of were pissed off. I don't know. But um so the second night we went back and we investigated, it was four of us, and um we had the fent box going. We were up on the second floor, and you know, the fent box doesn't make noise, you sometimes just sits quiet. So we're sitting there and I'm listening to the fent box and it's doing nothing, and all of a sudden we hear a kid laugh, and I'm like, damn, that was clear. And Jake's like, no, that came from the hallway. I was like, what? And dude, it was crystal clear what you're hearing, you're hearing a kid giggle, and it definitely came from the back hallway where that where the servant stairs are.
SPEAKER_02That just gave me shivers because we got that laugh too. Well, we heard it. Did you yeah, we didn't we didn't have EVP or anything, but we actually heard it. Like, what the hell was that? I'm like, Did you hear that? They're like white guys like shaking, yeah. I heard that.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, no, it was crystal clear. I I literally thought it was coming through the fanbox, but it actually came from the hallway.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, definitely a kid, a couple kids up there. That's great. Sure. Yeah. Um 27 Spirits is on. Um says he loves everything. And then he got Spookyard, been there several times. And Southern Ohio just jumped on. There's a couple more, I don't know who they are yet, but who cares? Um I mean, I do care. I just don't know who you are yet. Right. Yeah, I mean so attitude explorers and orbs. So you had the ambulance out there the first time I went there, the orbs ambulance. Um, is that gone now? Because I haven't seen it.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, I sold it. Yep, I got rid of it. It was uh it was becoming a lawn uh lawn, just sitting there rotting. It needed $3,000 in break job on it, and I the ambulance wasn't even worth that. And I just figured I'd get rid of it, and they got it, the guy's gonna use it for flea markets and stuff. So at least it's getting used. Um I do miss it, you know, because it was just a cool piece to have, but it's just it was just becoming an eyesore, really, and and it's just rotting away for no reason. Right.
SPEAKER_02Um, so then they have entity explorers. Um you guys pop up on YouTube all the time. Um, how did that start out? I know there's a few of you on that team.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, well, well, how that started was um, you know, we came up with the idea of uh, you know, the pure unity, you know, whether you believe it or believe in it or not, um, you know, the paranormal field could get a little nasty, um, or a lot nasty sometimes, with a lot of hatred sometimes. And it's just the whole thought behind it was, you know, why not bring people together? So uh, you know, I had Orbs join uh uh Paravisions out of Cincinnati, uh Patty and Lee. And uh we teamed up and brought in uh um Jake is in it, which is an Orbs member, and Kyle's an Orbs member, and Heather's an Orbs member. And uh we bring in two members from another team or a different, you know, not even a team, but two other investigators outside, even people we don't know. We'll just like scour the internet and find people and ask them to join us on a hunt for free. And uh we'll take them out. And and it it's you're learning from each other, really. And everybody's got different ways of investigating. I don't think there's any really right or wrong way unless you're a complete fool. Um but you know, you learn from each other. I bring in psychics, you know, we bring in different walks of life, kind of just just see how people pick up on things and how different equipment we use. Somebody builds equipment, bring it, you know. I want to use it just to test it, you know, just to see how it works. We're not there to judge people, we're just there to have fun and work together, really. That's what it's about.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, I mean, that got brought up today on Facebook about something about paraunity and equipment. I think you know, SOPS put something out there, Southern Ohio. And you know, people acting fools, yeah, you don't like that. But we don't have any answers really of what so maybe the full way is the right way. I don't know. I mean, that's not my cup of tea. But I mean again, no one has the answer, so how can we judge what's right, what's wrong? Equipment-wise, how do we know what works, what doesn't work? I believe a lot of stuff that I use. I'm sure you got certain equipment that you always fall back on too.
SPEAKER_01Right I love visual stuff, like you know, full spectrum photography, SLS, you know, stuff like that. Um that that's my cup of tea. I love EVPs now too. Um, but uh, but yeah, I mean it's again, you you could bring out a thousand pieces of equipment, and if you don't know how to use them, they're garbage. I mean, that's just how I look at it. But uh, but yeah, it the whole uh entity explorers it's for fun and and we definitely want to ask you to join us on one. We're gonna invite you on a hunt with us. Um but uh but yeah, it's just it's just more bringing people together, man, having fun exploring and see what you come up with. I know Damien, I think, is from 27 Spirits. If he's still on there, he he was at Penhurst with us, and yeah, that was that was a fun night, man. I'll tell you that. That was some crazy stuff there.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, I mean, Damien brings a Spirits for some reason. Every time I go out with them, he's a spirit magnet.
SPEAKER_01Long story short, man, if you watched our Pennhurst episode, um we were down in Candyland, and I was using full spectrum photography, and I've I seen Damon um hold out his arms like he was like there was something weird about I was like something told me to start snapping photos of him. So I start snapping photos on full spectrum, and sure enough, man, the direction he's walking, there was a bed down there, and there's a kid sitting on the bed. And I I I caught him on on camera, and I thought it was like one of the coolest things. I haven't caught anything like that in forever, man. And and it was just weird how the whole thing happened because you know I could tell he was it feeling something, or he was feeling some sort of energy, and I was just something told me to start snapping photos, and that's when we caught that. So that's on a Penthurst episode.
SPEAKER_02I think we went to Penthurst a couple weeks after you guys did. Did you? Yeah, I saw the I saw the video, I saw Damon's stuff too when he put it out there. Uh-huh. Cool stuff. I mean, we went to the Candy Land, really got nothing out of that place. Um but again, it depends on the energy that's there. Right. And you know, time of day, like who knows? These spirits want to talk or don't want to talk.
SPEAKER_01Well, we were up in the Devin building, dude. We heard somebody screaming, man. Again, I don't know if you guys experienced that when you were there or not, but I mean it's not like they were yelling help. I mean, it sounded like a woman, I mean it was freaking us out, but you know, at first I thought somebody was playing a trick on us, to be honest with you, man. It was that clear. And I don't know what it was. I mean, was it a spirit? I don't know. It was pretty clear, man. But I I don't know. It was like the weirdest experience, man. That place was a trip. I'd love to go back though and see if we could kind of experience that again.
SPEAKER_02That's odd because I was running spirit box up on their nevum building, and over the spirit box of women goes, help.
SPEAKER_01Are you serious? Yeah, yeah, we we had no spirit. This was the actual voice. If you watch that episode, you'll hear it. I mean, it goes first it screams and then it yells help. And I'm like, Are you kidding me? That's when we were like, Come on, for is this for real? You know, it almost sounded like somebody was in the building screaming, man. It was it was a trip.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, I mean, I kept trying to like ask why what's going on? What do you need help with? Can you leave this area? It said no, and I said, Why? And it goes, the one. I'm like, Wow, I've heard of the one before, you know. Oscar Manion always talks about the one and Nacho from Rona. I'm like, you can't believe because of the one. It goes, yeah, the one.
SPEAKER_01I was like, Wow, I was like, that's crazy.
SPEAKER_02That's kind of freaky.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, it is. But I'm glad you heard that too, because I mean that was that's crazy, man. That was a that was like a that was a wild investigation, man. I was not expecting I would you know, you you go to some of these big places and you're like, man, you're you're really not expecting a lot, but I'm always thinking, yeah, if it happens, happens great. But this place was like off the charts, man. It was it was pretty wild.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, it was it's a cool place. That's the first time I've been there. Um, I did a flashlight solo or no flashlight solo in the tunnels for about an hour. And uh they were interacting with Cap all and tripwires. I had two tripwires out saying this one's yes, this one's no, and it was actually answering me, and I'd stop for five like five minutes and nothing, but then I asked the question and it'd go off. It was kind of cool.
SPEAKER_01Wow, that is cool.
SPEAKER_02The one EVP I did get though was I had the REM pod and it just kept going off like nonstop, it would not stop. So I'm trying to reset it, do whatever. And I thought maybe the batteries were just dying. And on an EVP, it goes, Will you just die? What I think it was the REM pod they were talking about. I'm hoping, I don't know.
SPEAKER_00I hope so. Holy cow. I'm gonna question that one.
SPEAKER_02Well, I didn't hear it till I got home, so I'm like, whatever. But I'm like, it goes, Will you just die? I'm like, Oh, you're talking about the REM pod. You're trying to kill the REM pod, that's cool.
SPEAKER_01Like you know, when we were uh we went in, so the we we did two nights there. So the first night we actually did uh a public hunt, and I'm not big into public hunts, and uh, but I was like, you know what, I'm gonna just experience it. And it was it was done really well. They have guides in each building telling you how many people are in the building and if you want to go in or not, whatever. But so we went we started in the industry building because nobody everybody obviously is running for the Mayflower and the Devon and other cool places, and we were done in the basement and we started doing an EVP session, and I had a a recorder in my hand, and I always hold it in the palm of my hand, flat out, and I just move it around. I don't even touch it, it just sits there. And when I got to the second person, I felt it sliding down my hand, and then I started to shake a little. I'm like, someone trying to grab it and I look and I started freaking out, man. I'm like, that thing moved, that thing moved, you know. And then uh, so the second round we did an EVP session, and one of the one of the people go, uh, did you did you touch that recorder or did you touch that thing in his hand? Or and and uh a kid's voice goes, Oh, I'm sorry, just like that. Because it's probably because I was freaking out, they thought it scared me, you know. But uh, but that was like a really cool experience too. But yeah, that happened on the in industry building.
SPEAKER_02Which one's industry building?
SPEAKER_01It's uh it's the workshop where they used to build stuff.
SPEAKER_02Okay.
SPEAKER_01So if you walk out of the Devon building and you follow the path and you go directly straight till the dead ends, it's the one to your right, right there. Okay. Yep.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, they had the basement, uh, was it Tatacum building that they just opened up?
SPEAKER_00Yeah.
SPEAKER_02Um that was pretty active. That was pretty freaky down there. Um Nacho has been. Yes.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, Fermary was that place was creepy. We only we only got to experience it for a little bit, but that place was cool.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, I mean it's uh I mean Pennhurst is a cool place. Hopefully it stays open. I don't know.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, yeah. You know kind of it it's sad because you got people fighting over this conjuring house, and I'm thinking, man, somebody will save Pennhurst, man. I don't know, but you know, everybody focuses on one thing and it's and they kind of shove everything else aside. And I think Penhurst is so cool, and the history there is so rich, and you know, to save it would be awesome, man. If I had the money, I'd buy the place.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, and let's talk about that real quick because a lot of people are like upset about that. But you know, I was there. I think half the buildings you can't go on half the stuff because of floors, you know, safety concerns. Um you own a couple places. I think just the upkeep on that place is probably ridiculous. So I mean, I think that's one reason on her stuff. Yeah.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, it is, but you gotta realize um the paracon they have there, the events they have there, the public think about when I was there on that public event, it was a hundred dollars a ticket and there was 125 people there. And that's just one night. And then you know, you rent it the next night, that's what, 1,500 or whatever it is. So that's almost three to four thousand plus dollars and you know, merchandise and all the other stuff they sell and day tours. You know, I I get it. I'm sure the property taxes are crazy and just everything else, but you know, um putting that money into it would probably help it some. And I think they are because they're starting to open up different floors that were never opened before. Right. And and you got die-hard um people you know, volunteers there that that actually go there during the day and they're not even getting paid. And they sit there and they clean these areas so we could go in and investigate them and enjoy them. So I think over time, you know, and maybe whoever owns it is just trying to make their money back on ownership first. You know, I I don't know how that all goes because you know, I mean from what I was told, I think the place is worth $35 million. But uh, you know, you know, I don't know, but uh hopefully they'll eventually start putting more into it.
SPEAKER_02Yeah.
SPEAKER_01And uh, you know, hopefully if it stays around, that's the big thing, you know, with the data center wanting to come in there and stuff.
SPEAKER_02So yeah, I mean it's uh just humongous and so many buildings. I could imagine, like I know there's been other places that had a lot of buildings and they just kind of concentrate on three or four buildings, yeah. And that's you know, hopefully, hopefully it stays open. Obviously. Right. Right.
SPEAKER_01You know, that's I'm I'm hoping people fight for it. I heard the like the councilmen and stuff down there really don't want the data center, so they may be pushing that out. So I I'm hoping that happens because then you know we could we get to enjoy Penthurst for another you know hundred years or whatever years there may be there, you know, as long as it's maintained. And by the looks of it, you know, at least they're working on it. So right. And it's such a huge paracon. I mean it's huge. The only thing I'd wish is I wish they would switch the date because you got the Mansfield one the same day as that one, and if they would switch them and work together, man, that'd be huge, you know. But you know, I would it's just it happens to fall on the same day, so right.
SPEAKER_02It stinks, but yeah, you know, I don't work on that weekend, so I couldn't go to either one, so it didn't matter to me.
SPEAKER_01Right. Go to one on one day and go to the other one the next day, right?
SPEAKER_02Um, what's your like everybody has like their go-to place they love to investigate? I mean, do you have one that you just um keep not really?
SPEAKER_01I I I think every place has its own story. Um to me, homes. So back when I started in in 2006, 7, 8, 9, before all the shows really started getting really popular, I would get the craziest evidence out of people's houses. I mean, that that's where most of the stuff I I believe back then when families reached out to you, they had real hauntings going on. Like there was because most people were like, don't tell nobody, don't come up with stickers on your cars, you know, blah, blah, blah. And when you would go in there, I mean, the stuff you would get out of houses was incredible, you know. But then once the start show started kicking in, I think people really just wanted to have ghost hunters in their house, and it was just more of an entertainment thing. It seemed like the the haunting started to kind of disappear a little bit, but not disappear, but people would just call you off for no reason. But um, but uh houses were probably the most active locations I've ever done. I would get some crazy stuff out of houses.
SPEAKER_02I mean, for someone to actually go there to that point of actually calling somebody, I mean, it has to be pretty bad for them. Absolutely. I need help, you know.
SPEAKER_01Oh, yeah. I mean, we've gone to houses um where people wanted to move out, or they were, you know, they could move out. Um, you know, one of the most memorable ones was um we did a house, um it was it was actually not far from here. This is when I lived in Cleveland, but uh they had um the lady, they claimed they had a demonic in their home. And this was this was like our first time ever dealing with a demonic. And and this is like we were kind of still building the team and just learning ourselves, and we're like, yeah, we could, you know, we could do that, you know, cleansings and blessings, we'll get rid of that thing in two minutes, you know. And that was our mindset, you know. And we went in and and the stuff we were getting was just nuts. And um, we did a cleansing and blessing there. And I remember um um it was probably a month and a half, two months later. I always reach out to people after we've been there just to check up on them, you know. And I remember uh the phone call, uh the husband answered the phone, and you know, I was like, hey, you know, this is Carl from Orbs, he's checking up on you, and then we start talking, and he told me that his wife committed suicide, and she left a note saying, Um, the devil made me do it, and she shot herself. And I remember being in the house, there was guns everywhere. And um, that's the day I realized that a normal paranormal investigator is not gonna take out a demonic. And that was that was a learning experience. And till this day, we work with a pastor out of Michigan um that's written, studied theology, written books on demonology. He's a real demonologist. And uh anytime we come across anything like that, I send it his way. Because, you know, by me reading a book about demonology does not make me a demonologist. You know, you really have to believe in it, you have to study it, you have to have the power of Christ behind you, and and it's just something that a paranormal investigator is not gonna get out. You know, when you see some of these shows, they're yelling, get out, demons, you know, blah, blah, blah. It, you know, you're wasting your breath because that's not gonna work, you know. And it's just it was a learning experience and it was an eye-opening experience also.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, I mean, you see a lot of these people saying, I can help you, I can help you, but you know, I think majority of the time they're gonna go in there and just piss it off.
SPEAKER_01Yep.
SPEAKER_02Yep.
SPEAKER_01And uh, you know, there's there's people always when I get a lot of emails, people claim they have demons in their house. And for most part, it's not. The chances of you coming across a demonic is probably two, three percent. Um, it was mostly evil spirits, nasty spirits. You know, they're not demons, but they can get nasty, and that's what we usually come across.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, yeah, the demonic gets thrown out there way too much, in my opinion.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, it is. Way, way too much. I mean, I've had people tell me they have the demons attached to themselves and it travels everywhere. I'm thinking, I doubt that.
SPEAKER_02I don't that that's my personal opinion, but yeah, that's the issue with that's the issue with paranormal, though. I've been trying to tell a lot of people that lately. Like, we cannot prove it. No, you can say you have demon, you know, demon attached to you, and you're thinking, no. Well, you can't prove that they don't. Right.
SPEAKER_01No, you you can't, but I think I think your life, I don't think you'd be running around investigating places if you had a demonic attached to you. I think your life would kind of turn upside down and you would be rotting at home, miserable. Um, life would just take the wrong turn on you, and you wouldn't be out investigating ghosts. So that'd be my opinion on the whole demonic deal.
SPEAKER_02Oh, you're saying like Carnival Vasculator is saying they have a demonic.
SPEAKER_00Oh, yeah, that's that, dude. Like, yeah, no.
SPEAKER_01There's no way. But uh, but I I I've heard that many times. So yeah.
SPEAKER_02Well, yeah, I've heard a lot of people have attachments. I believe she has some sort of attachment, you know, yeah, yeah. Family member or whatever. Sure.
SPEAKER_01That's a that's a whole different thing from a demon, though.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, definitely. Um what are your thoughts on you know, just spirits, nice spirits compared to like evil spirits, like percentage-wise?
SPEAKER_01Um I've done probably 500 cases to date. Um most part I'd say it's 50-50. You know, um, you get you get the spirits that are just in a home, and people get freaked out by it. It could be grandma Susie walking around and they're freaking out, but they're there for a reason. They're there maybe just watching over the house. Um, they're there maybe watching over the family, or they're just left behind from the last people that were there. But um for the most part, I think it's 50-50. And then you get your nasty spirits that do cause chaos and slam doors or you know, cabinet doors close and open or whatever. They, you know, they're running through the house causing chaos, you know. But um, you know, you could get rid of them, you know, just and it's just we could do cleansing as blessings, but it's also the people that live there, it's your energy. If you stay positive, it gets rid of them, you know. And and that's you know, that's a good way to just to cleanse your home by being positive.
SPEAKER_02Oh, definitely. Positive is huge. Um if they want to get rid of them. Yeah, you know, people just like to touch too.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, we've had people tell us, hey, don't get rid of it, we believe it's a family member. We just want to confirm that, you know. I remember we did a case out in Painesville, this was many years ago, and you know, I before we even enter the house, I do a case sheet with people, I talk to them over the phone for weeks before we even go there because I want to make sure where we're getting into is truly uh haunting and not uh demonic, we'll say. But you know, so I want to get to know them a little bit more and hear the stories. And I remember we went to Painesville and we were sitting in the one room and we're doing a spirit box session, and we asked, Who is it? And the the voice, the name that came through was Mike. I'm like, Man, I remember Mike. And uh, I was like, Oh, how'd you die? And it said, accident. I'm like, okay, I don't remember anything like that, but you know, it could be the spirit that's there. So we kind of went through the whole night, and then during our break, we sat down with the homeowner, and I was like, Do you happen to know a Mike? And I mean, she was like, her eyes just bulged out of her head. I'm like, she's like, Yeah, I go, I go, well, this Mike came through our spirit box. I go, and he said he died in an accident. She goes, Oh my god. She goes, My ex-boyfriend's name was Mike, and he died on a motorcycle accident. I'm like, well, there's your ghost. We're done, you know. But uh, but we had no clue, you know, who Mike was, and we had no idea this guy even died in an accident, nothing. I mean, she never even mentioned him. And uh that happened many, many years ago. And I go, well, there's your there's your haunting, you know, it's Mike probably watching over you. But uh, but yeah, so I mean it's it's cool things like that where you're validating things that you didn't even know, like how you came to the Beale, you didn't want to know anything, you know, and to validate things and have experiences that go with that is kind of really it just it's it's just a cool experience to have, you know.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, I mean that's why I investigate to get the stories out, you know, keep memories alive. You know, that's the main reason why I do this, you know. Absolutely. Everybody always wants like I want to know the life, you know, what happens after life, and well, you know, the generic answer. And I'm like, uh, I'll figure that out sooner or later. One day, right? Yeah, one day.
SPEAKER_01I mean, we're all curious what happens in our, you know, in our afterlife, and in doing this field um by going out and getting EVPs, knowing that these voices are coming through and nobody said anything, kind of ensures you that there is probably something afterward, you know, and and and we're gonna find out eventually, and hopefully not soon, but you know, eventually we're gonna find out. And and it's it's just it's cool learning that and learning about the past of the spirits that are there, too. Right.
SPEAKER_02Um, so do you have a theory?
SPEAKER_01What are spirits and the spirits? I believe it's uh energy, energy cannot be destroyed. You know, once we're all made of energy, and once we're once that energy is released, it can't be destroyed. And I believe some happen to stay behind. Um, maybe they're watchful over a certain thing, a house. Some I believe could actually go to their place and come back. Um, but you know, it's theories. Are we do we all have answers to that? No, you know, unless we're actually going to experience it. But um, you know, I believe it's just spirits that can't come and go, some maybe trap souls, like what you're titled. Um, you know, maybe some are scared to move on, maybe some people don't understand to move on, you know, like a child. If they passed away, they don't know about death. You know, they're so when they pass away, the this light shows up. Maybe they're scared to go to that light. So they happen to stay behind. You know, so it could be a lot of different theories out there to the paranormal.
SPEAKER_02Oh yeah. Yeah, I mean, we don't know. I mean, there's some people out there that claim to know.
SPEAKER_01Nah, there's nobody that knows. What's your theory on it?
SPEAKER_02Um, dude, I I thought I had a theory until I started doing this podcast, not this one, but a year ago. And there's way too many theories out there.
SPEAKER_00Yeah.
SPEAKER_02So my name, Trap Souls, came about because we investigate asylums, prisons, and all that. And you know, I always felt like they're trapped there because of what they did. Um, yes, I do believe spirits can move in and out, but I just believe certain spirits are stuck trapped into certain places too. That's how my name came about. It's not that they're trapped in this world, they're just trapped in a certain place. I don't know, different dimensions, you know, people talk about that. Everything, you know, spirits. It doesn't could it be all? You know, and I come to the conclusion, like not conclusion, but you know, theory. You know, we always say heavens above, hell is below, but what what what if we are seeing just this is heaven, they're just living their life as a spirit.
SPEAKER_00That could be possible.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, we don't know. So again, we will find out. I think with all the paranormal vest gears now that are popping up in you know 20, 30 years, I wonder if the activity will increase because we know how to communicate with the living then once we pass.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, especially with the all the technology that's coming out and stuff like that. I mean, people are gonna keep creating more and better things, you know, and and better communication and and stuff like that. So hopefully, hopefully, yeah, you know, 20, 30 years from now, maybe there will be better answers, you know. But, you know, right now it's just like you said, it's all theory, and um, you know, the spirits here, you know, they're just trying to get our attention. Do they have something left behind that they want to say? I mean, you know, we could speculate on that all day long, but you're talking about dimensions, and uh that's why I love using full spectrum photography, because I believe that spirits are in different light sources, different dimensions. And I think that's where full spectrum photography comes in, because you're using different light sources, and I think that's why you could capture spirits with full spectrum better than you can with a regular camera, because you're seeing them in different dimensions. So, and that that's another cool piece of equipment to use that I love to use, you know, because you know, catching something on it, but you you know, you I I've used where I've snapped and use full spectrum, and not get anything on my uh regular camera, but I would get it on full spectrum.
SPEAKER_02That's interesting. But I mean it makes sense too. I mean, just like the recorders, people use different recorders because different megahertz, you know, this dimension to speak in this megahertz, and you know, I've had that happen um at our house where two recorders next to each other, one nothing, second one non-stop PvPs.
SPEAKER_01You know, so you know a lot of the new recorders have um uh noise cancellation. And my theory on the spirit realm is if you're canceling the noise around you, that spirit better be very close to that microphone to talk, or you're not gonna catch it in the environment. They're in the environment. So um that I I like the old recorders, I do use a Panasonic Panasonic DR60. I don't know if people hate them. Yes, they do make a lot of garbage noises, but I don't even listen to those. I listen to the voice, I hear a voice. Same with the Olympias, I use the old Olympias, yeah, because they don't cancel the environment, and you're hearing that static in the environment. That's what I'm listening within that static is the voices that I'm listening for, just like a spirit box. You're using that spirit box with the white noise, you know, that's where the spirit voices come through, right?
SPEAKER_02Um you said the DR60, like yeah, a lot of people you know hate on those because you always get that growl. Everybody has that growl of DR60.
SPEAKER_01This is garbage.
SPEAKER_02I don't this is my way beyond thinking belief here because the question is how come we don't hear dinosaurs and they're dead?
SPEAKER_01Yeah, but maybe that's them coming through.
SPEAKER_00Maybe that's a T-Rex coming through.
SPEAKER_01It could be. You know, when I first got that DR60, man, I I'd use that and be like, damn, damn, damn, that's so cool, damn. And I'm like, hold on, man, this is just a bunch of freaking noises, or so I don't know what it's doing, but you know, I I I I learned to ignore that. But when you do get a good voice, you do get a good voice to it, you know.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, no, I I mean EVPs in general are just awesome. I have a you know, I showed some the other day. I get the generic one I bought, I don't know, 15 years ago.
SPEAKER_00Uh-huh.
SPEAKER_02That's all I use. You know, I got more expensive ones, but I fall to that one. I mean, I could leave my tripwire somewhere. Okay, cool. I'll be like, hey, Carlo, I'll be back in a couple months. Can you just throw that to the side? I'm left a recorder at your place. I'm driving back to get that recorder.
SPEAKER_01You want that recorder? Yep.
SPEAKER_02That's that's like my baby when I go investigate. Um, I don't do many videos or anything. It's just yeah, it's just I love that thing.
SPEAKER_01It's funny because you know, we we got all these new tools that come out, you know. And dude, I walk around with four cases, and I always go to the same two or three pieces of equipment every time, you know, the digital voice recorder, full spectrum camera, you know, the REM pod or something. But you know, it's it's always the same ones, you know, because you know, like a voice that you're you know, you're sitting in a room by yourself and you get a kid's voice come through. It ain't you, you know, where's this voice coming through? You know, so it's it's so awesome to catch something like that, you know, and you and you you're kind of just validating your own theories and everything else with the paranormal, with just experiencing that voice, you know, and and and I love that, you know. Yeah, REM pod, you know, lightning or electrical circuits or something could set it off, Wi-Fi or whatever it is. But you know, a voice clear as day saying something back to you is so cool.
SPEAKER_02Oh, it is. I mean, I always tell people I'm an EVP junkie, um, it's kind of like that gold fever. You find that one piece of gold and you're hooked. And same with EVPs. I just listened to two and a half hours of me and uh Ghost Sisters investigation, not one thing came out two hours, yeah, but that's fine. And I can listen, I've listened for seven hours and one EVP, that's worth it to me. Yep, absolutely voice. So when you hear that, you know, will you just die? You're like, okay, no, that's definitely cool.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, it makes it all worth it, man. You know, it's funny you say that because um I have journals over at the Beal, and people fill them out, right? And I'll go in there and read them. I I love reading them, I love hearing watch, you know, seeing other people's stories or experiences, or if they didn't, or they did, whatever. And uh I'll read it and like it'll say, had a little quiet night, saw a shadow figure, and got an EVP, and I'm thinking, Well, shit, man, if I go on an investigation, I just see one shadow figure, that makes my whole night, you know. I don't have you know, I mean, that's just that's just awesome to me, you know. But I think people expect so much sometimes, you know, and and it's like an EVP. If I get a nice clear EVP, man, it's awesome. You know, that's that's my whole night.
SPEAKER_02So I mean, but you've been investigating for 20 years too, but I mean, I don't want to say you're coming numb to it, but you know, when people see shadow figures in the beginning, they're like freaking out. Right. And now it's like I freak out now.
SPEAKER_01Oh yeah, I I get it. It's not that I freak out, I get excited. Yeah. Like, oh my god, I just saw something run across the hallway. You know, it it it's just you're seeing something that's not supposed to be there, you know, and it's just exciting, you know.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, we were in a in Padhurst Titicum building, uh there's three rooms in a basement, and I'm looking out this one doorway into the main basement, and this kid peeks around the corner, like three feet tall, boy. You see, it's it was he was dark, but you can see facial figure, you know, features on him. Oh my god, goes back and takes off. So I go try to find him, and there's just a wall there.
SPEAKER_01I'm like, no kidding, how cool is that?
SPEAKER_02Yeah, and I'm like, that's a cool experience. I didn't catch on camera, obviously, or it'd be out there, and I'm like, hey Nacho, dude, I just saw a kid, but that's my demeanor. Like, I can see a shadow figure. I'm like, shadow figure, like shadow figure, sweet, like I've seen so many of them, like right, and you know, the whole get outs. I just get excited. Oh, I do.
SPEAKER_01I mean, you know, it's because you just you don't expect it, and then when it does happen, it just makes your whole night worth sitting in the dark for 12 hours, you know, seeing that shadow figure or whatever, you know. It just you you know, once you once you see it, you know, yeah, you chase after and stuff, you're excited, but you know, just seeing them, man, it's just it's so cool because yeah, I I've seen tons of them. I've seen them at the Beale many times, but it don't matter. I could see them a million times, I'm still gonna get excited, you know.
SPEAKER_02Oh, yeah, I do. I mean, I did want to know.
SPEAKER_01I mean, seeing a kid peek around the corner is like that's like a holy grail in itself, you know.
SPEAKER_02I mean, literally I was like four feet away from that doorway, like it just can you see like half his face from here over. Like just what are you so cool? What are you doing in there? Then I like looked at him and he took off.
SPEAKER_01Wow.
SPEAKER_00Shit.
SPEAKER_02I just saw something.
SPEAKER_01That is so cool. You know, just like uh you know, when we got the um three the historic 314 uh Masonic Temple, which is open now for ghost hunts. Um we when we first looked at it, you know, you when you go look at a building, you don't know if it's haunted. You know, I mean obviously it's a mobile Masonic temple, and you hear the stories, they're always haunted, and this and that. So it was funny because uh Rob and I went to look, we were looking at it, and and uh the woman was kind of being picky about who she's gonna sell it to. And um she just happened, she just happened to go, can I ask you guys something? We're like, Yeah, sure. She's like, What do you plan on doing with the building? Because she said the neighbor wanted to tear it down, make it into uh a pole barn there, you know, you hear all these stories and all that. So I was like, oh boy, here we go. So I was like, well, and I'm wearing my haunted Beale Manor shirt. I was like, well, if it's haunted and this kid comes flying out of the tent, and she's like, I seen a ghost. And I'm thinking, all right, I know they're not trying to sell us this building because this is just like out of nowhere. And they, I'm sure they weren't expecting somebody to say, hey, you know, we're looking for ghosts. And she's like, I seen a ghost. I'm like, what did you see? And she's like, I seen this dark figure coming down the stairs with this outline. I'm like, holy cow! And then the whole family just opened up about seeing shadow figures walking around around because they stayed in the tent downstairs because there was a bat flying around. And uh they would see a shadow figure, a silhouette of a shadow figure walking around their tent. They they saw a full-body apparition of a man look around the corner from the upstairs and then walk away. And he had a I guess he had a gray shirt, gold buttons, and medals on. I mean, they were just going on and on. I'm thinking, holy crap! I mean, just I mean, just how could it happen, you know? So when uh Rob and I went to close on it, um, they were there, and I was like, would you guys mind talking on video? Because I can make the story up and just bullshit anybody about ghosts being in there, right? And they're like, Yeah, we'll do that. So when we got back, we ended up interviewing them and and putting it on video of them talking about their experiences and stuff, and you know, and that's how you know whole like you know, you you couldn't just find something like that. It was just such a cool experience, almost like it just found us, you know.
SPEAKER_02So talk about the temple a little bit. Um how's that going? I mean, you guys just opened up, you guys did a lot of renovations to it. So, yeah.
SPEAKER_01Um, so what happened is uh we it was empty. Well, it had a bunch of stuff in it. We had to empty out a lot of garbage that was left behind, but uh, you know, we ended up putting stages upstairs, uh building it back into a temple. Everything upstairs is original to a temple, not that one specifically, but we went out. We went Bob and I drove out to Pennsylvania, ended up purchasing benches. Uh, we got a uh altar in there, we got everything set up like an original temple would be set up. So we kind of brought it back to life upstairs. Um, so uh the downstairs is more of like uh living quarters, you know, you got the kitchen, and we have a bathroom that works, so a lot of places don't. Everybody's like, Yeah, bathrooms that work? Yes, we do. Um, but uh it's doing well. Um, you know, obviously a lot of people have bookings that have scheduled throughout the year, but uh it's doing good. We're getting more and more bookings, the word's spreading. Um, you know, we're just having fun running it. And uh hopefully people enjoy this place like they do the Beale Manor. Um, you know, it I I think it's just a different haunting than the Beal Manor is. Uh we have we have Frank upstairs, which is a full-body skeleton in a coffin from an off fella's uh place. Um so he's there on display for people to maybe maybe he'll talk to you, you know. Um, but the basement's pretty creepy. Uh it's got its own vibe down there. Um, but the whole place is really cool. A lot of people are having some cool experiences. Some YouTubers have been there filming. Um, so they're releasing some videos on that. So over time it'll grow and and people start having stories to talk about.
SPEAKER_02All right. Um, what's the price of it?
SPEAKER_01Uh same as a bill. So uh it's 175 Monday through Thursday, up to five people, and then $35 any additional person. And if you want to stay overnight, it's that's from 8 to 5 a.m. If you want to do it 8 to 11 a.m., it's an additional $30 fee. And then uh Friday, Saturday, Sunday nights, it's $225 up to five people, then $45 any additional. The same thing. If you want to stay till 11 a.m., it's $30 extra dollars flat fee.
SPEAKER_02All right. So I can tell you right now, like Bill Manor, um, same with Adam with Madison and Fairfield. Your prices are unbelievable. Um, I don't know, that's the reason why you get a lot of people. I believe because you get because your houses are awesome and your places are awesome. That's why you get the attention you do. But you guys, you know, price it right because that's a big topic right now. Way people are pricing stuff. And you know, if you want to go out and have a good time, trust me, go to Bill Manor. I've not been to the temple yet. I plan on getting there sooner or later. As soon as I find time in you know my schedule here. But um, again, go check it out. If you haven't been to Bill, uh Kyla, uh, she works with me, she's on. You want to go to Bill? Just let me know. We'll go to Bill. I think I'm going out there December 4th with Alme Paranormal again. So uh definitely check it out.
SPEAKER_01Um you know Adam's another, like you mentioned, Adam, he's another great owner. I mean, the stuff he's you know, for him to inherit like Fairfield, it needed a new roof, it needed a lot of work, and his journey was to get that done. He did. And the other person that would have got their hands on it probably would have just took the money and ran and waited till the whole place fell apart and called it good, you know. And he puts his blood, sweat, and tears in those places. And and I love talking to him. We always talk, and he's actually coming to the Beale and the um the Masonic Temple, and uh, you know, I love talking to him because he's got that mindset. And again, what is he? A paranormal investigator, and that's why a lot of these places that have people that run it as paranormal investigators have to maintain get maintained and get treated well, priced well, because we know how it feels to go to a place that's charging an arm and a leg, you know, and and it's it's just simple things like that that keep people wanting to come back or want to come to the place because how they're being treated and stuff and and the pricings.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, and you know, he said he was on my podcast last week and he said something that made sense like the building comes first, then the people come second. So as long as you have that mindset, then I think you're gonna be very successful, you know. And just pocketbook is probably third.
SPEAKER_01I mean, yeah, and if it ain't for the people, you ain't gonna have that building, as simple as that. And you know, I again the all these years that I've had the beal, and same with the temple, we're actually gonna we're gonna be putting central air in there because it's hot. So we we listen and that's what we're doing. And um all the money that I've made at the deal, I put into it. I bought I got 26 new windows put in a couple years ago. That was not cheap, you know. I just had uh basement windows priced, they want almost $10,000 for basement windows, but I'm gonna have to get it done, you know. We had central air units put in there, so you know, I don't drive, I'm I'm sitting in a IKEA, you know. Um, I don't drive a Mercedes. And uh so it's it's things like that, you know, you're putting it back into these buildings, you're saving history, you're you're you're building a place where people could come and enjoy and be safe, you know, and and just have fun. So, you know, Bob and I talked the other day, and people we've heard people say how hot it is upstairs, which it is. So we're like, okay, let's get central air units. So we're gonna be putting some units in there where it's gonna have air conditioning up there now, so it's gonna be nice and cool, you know, it's gonna be the quiet system, too. So um, and that's what we want, you know, to so people can experience and have fun too, and that'd be miserable.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, that scream police just came out and said, I miss Frank.
SPEAKER_01He misses you too.
SPEAKER_02Um I've heard of the Scream Police, I've not met them yet. I know they were in Madison and they helped you with the Masak Temple, right?
SPEAKER_01That's Bob, yeah. He's the half owner.
SPEAKER_02Oh, that is Bob, okay.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, yeah, yeah, yep.
SPEAKER_02So no, I mean, yeah, posted a whole bunch of stuff too. Um, tried to get them on my podcast when I first started. Didn't work out too well. No, I don't know. Um, they're busy, just like everybody else, so I understand that. But we're an hour into this. Um, what's what's happening with that to the explorers? What's your new ventures coming up?
SPEAKER_01Um, right now we're taking a little break. Um, you know, it's just editing and everything else kind of burns you up a little bit. But uh we did some live stuff, and then uh we're gonna start up here. Actually, starting Saturday, we're gonna film uh for the new season coming up. And uh we're gonna start then, and we got some really cool places that we're going to, uh places that people haven't been to yet, or Orbs team has been to before, but it's never been open to the public. Um, so we got a we got a full schedule coming up. We're planning for more this winter. Uh try to get some of these cool places in and and uh see what we come up with.
SPEAKER_02All right. Well, I appreciate coming on. Um lots of good dates still available for the temple.
SPEAKER_01So yeah, we're yeah, if anybody wants to book, um a lot of weekends. Everybody's always saying, You got any weekends open, we got plenty open. Um so book it now because I could tell you right now, come next year, because everybody's gonna be planning their whole year of ghost hunting. The weekends will be booked up next year at the temple. You know, people are gonna jump on those pretty quick. So um weekends always go. Same with the Beal. I mean, within the first six months, that the weekends already get burnt out pretty quick. So um, but yeah, there's plenty of dates open. Um come check out the temple. Um, you know, we'd love to have you there, and we want to hear people's stories, man. We want to get new stories from there and what's haunting there, and and hopefully people have fun.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, it would be fun.
SPEAKER_01So yeah, yeah, book it and they can find those on Facebook or as well as yeah, if you go yeah, if we go to 314.com, uh the calendar is on there. You could go to uh Facebook and our website's on there, the links on there. You can message us, you know, we could take a look for you, see what we got open, and things like that.
SPEAKER_02So there you go. So check it out, get it. Um follow Entity Explorers on YouTube and wherever else they're at. I had you know Patty Lee on a while ago. Yeah, they're they're great people too. So um watch a few of your shows when I can. But awesome. I always tell just everybody keep being you because it works. And uh I know I'll see you in September at Cleveland Paracon.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, that's gonna be a fun one. Yeah, we didn't even put talk about that. That that's coming up too, so don't forget about it. I know taking up your time, right?
SPEAKER_02No, it's uh no, Cleveland Paracon's gonna be fun. Um, it's gonna be a good time, and they're gonna do some uh investigations in the evening. Um, I don't think I'm gonna partake in those because I'm wanna sleep, but but if you can come down to Cleveland, check it out. It's gonna be a good time. Uh Carlo will be down there. Um, a lot of great people will be down there speaking. Yeah, again, I appreciate it, and we'll see you soon. Awesome, man. Thanks for having me. Yeah, thank you. See you, Carlo.
SPEAKER_01All right, see you later, man. Bye.
