Talk No Dey Cook Rice Podcast
When we were younger, we all said we would be pilots, astronauts, and "big people" when we grow up. Here we are, "in the future," and we can clearly see how it is almost impossible to achieve those big dreams.
What happened? Did we just sit aloof, expecting life to turn out great?
Well, I sit down every week on the "Talk No Dey Cook Rice Podcast" (which translates as—Talk Is Hot Air) and interview young people who are literally living their dream lives in this somewhat “hard Ghana”.
I delve into their minds to understand how they have managed to keep their heads above water.
The Podcast is a peer mentorship program. Simply getting young people who are doing exceptionally well for themselves to mentor other young people who want to do big things “when they grow up”🥂

Overcoming Insecurities: Changing the 'Social Media Influencing' Narrative
Most of my female friends suck their tummies in anytime they want to take a picture. Some also don't show their teeth at all. Why aren't they proud of their physical appearance? Sybil has fought that same battle and, shockingly, is now one of Ghana's top Christian social media influencers.
How did she overcome her insecurities to post every day on social media? Why is she focusing solely on Christian content? I asked all the questions on your mind. Stay tuned until the end of the episode, where I put Sybil on the spot to sing. If you don't get goosebumps listening to her soothing voice, then you are the problem.
