Talk No Dey Cook Rice Podcast
When we were younger, we all said we would be pilots, astronauts, and "big people" when we grow up. Here we are, "in the future," and we can clearly see how it is almost impossible to achieve those big dreams.
What happened? Did we just sit aloof, expecting life to turn out great?
Well, I sit down every week on the "Talk No Dey Cook Rice Podcast" (which translates as—Talk Is Hot Air) and interview young people who are literally living their dream lives in this somewhat “hard Ghana”.
I delve into their minds to understand how they have managed to keep their heads above water.
The Podcast is a peer mentorship program. Simply getting young people who are doing exceptionally well for themselves to mentor other young people who want to do big things “when they grow up”🥂

From Zongo To JoyNews | The Story of Ghana's Politically Correct Journalist (Evans Mensah)
How did a scrappy scavenger boy from Abossey Okai Zongo become a national sensation—hosting and analyzing major political shows—and go on to become a multiple award-winning journalist and host of Joy FM's Top Story radio bulletin and PM Express on JoyNews?
As if that weren’t enough, Evans Mensah's fearless and strategic leadership has catapulted JoyNews and the The Multimedia Group (Ltd.) into becoming the go-to television and radio network for elections coverage in Ghana.
Behind the glory lies a series of gory experiences that have shaken and affected Evans till date—some of which he still hasn’t recovered from.
On your favorite podcast, he tells it all: the good, the bad, and the ugly.
This conversation will make you laugh, cry, and feel angry! Be sure to share this with a friend.
