This week we're heading into the woods... because apparently making good life choices isn't our thing.

We're talking about the Jersey Devil, New Jersey's favorite flying nightmare, and the Fresno Nightcrawler, a cryptid that looks like a pair of haunted pajama pants taking a midnight stroll.

Are they terrifying? Misunderstood? Just really committed to leg day? We dive into the legends, sightings, theories, and the internet's collective confusion. Grab your flashlight, lock your doors, and remember: if you see a pair of pants walking toward you... maybe don't ask questions.

SPEAKER_03

I'm Alex and I'm Megan and we are two filthy whores.

SPEAKER_01

You're all in the fail now.

SPEAKER_03

Hey, that was my turn. Happy happy hour, guys. We're back at it again. So do you want to go first or do you want me to go first? Not not with the topic, like I mean yappy hour. Um, you. Okay, so for me, I had my doctor's appointment regarding my sugar. It wasn't like very recently because it was a bit ago, but we haven't recorded, so um everything is still annoying, but it's going. It didn't get worse. Um, I was really nervous about it, but my sugar um it's still elevated, but it is not really getting worse, if that makes sense. It is much worse in the evening and like overnight. Uh so we're changing my diet a little bit, changing like how I'm eating, like where I'm putting most of my carbs at throughout the day and stuff like that. So that way, because the thing is, and people are like, oh, just cut out all sugar, cut out our carbs. You can't do that, especially if you're diabetic. You have to have carbs. Um everyone has to have carbs, but like I need them. You just need to calculate them properly and spread them out a certain way throughout the day for how your body works. And mine is struggling really hard to digest at nighttime, like in the evening and night. So we're trying to fix that. Um, we we whenever like my habits, my diet, everything, everything I'm doing is great, but it's not enough, I guess. So I have to just fix it a little bit more and tweak a few things. So I'm working on that, trying to adjust. Um, it has been horribly fucking hot out. So I can't walk. So bad. Yeah, I can't. I have a walking pad at home. I can walk inside, but I can't go outside and walk like the dog, and and can't we can't do family walks right now. Like we we've been doing family walks like every night or trying to. And we can't really do that right now. It's scorching. Yeah, it is painful. Like it is. Let me see what the temperature is right now. 101. Holy shit. For me, it's only one. It's just updates 102.

SPEAKER_00

Ew. Yeah, it's 102. That's fucking awful. I'm so sorry.

SPEAKER_03

And for the people in California, it is a wet heat. It's not dirty. It sounds so dirty. It's not your dry ass desert stuff. It is like Arizona fucking weather.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, it's our air's thick. Like our asses. But um, yeah, no, it's not easy out here. Out here in these parts.

SPEAKER_03

It's been rough. Um, it's been rough. Yeah. What else you got? I think that's really it. Like we've just been hanging out, trying to stay cool, trying to keep the house cool and the dog cool.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah. I don't really think I have too much. I know that um oh well here, I'm gonna send you a picture, but uh the bathroom renovation is in full swing now. Oh, is it an updated photo? Yeah, it's what um got done today. So uh there's like go board in the shower, and um our dad built like a little shelf in there for us. So, and Tyler's gonna kill me because Tyler wanted the shelf in there. And he's like, I can't wait to put my shampoo bottles on in my soap. Yeah, you're not putting anything useful in there. A shower lamp is going there. Oh, see, I want to shelf him on my hand. I'm putting a shower plant.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah, I want a shower plant. Yep, that's what I was gonna say. I want eucalyptus or something.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, I'm not putting anything useful in there, and he's gonna be pissed. You're like, it's my bath candles and a shower plant. This is Barbie's dream house, not Ken's dream house. So you could stick to your little corner of your of the shower. You can just put your little soap bar there. He he has like four, so not even four things he needs. He has like a razor in there, a fucking soap bar, and like a 73 in one shampoo, gasoline, 73 and 1.

SPEAKER_03

Did you just come? Did you like to like hit that? Like out of did you think about that, or did you just like oh no, it's not good in here. That's so funny.

SPEAKER_00

No, I just am like, yeah, he's not getting any part of that shower stove. But that's so funny. Yeah. Aside from that though, I when this comes out, I will officially be in the third trimester, which is scary to think about. But, you know, I I'm just gonna deal with it. You got it. I get a lot of anxiety in the middle of the night. Like when I wake up to pee, I'm like, oh my god, I have to give birth. But uh during the day I'm like, eh, it's fine. But like the sunset scary has hit me. I don't know. It's just so hard in the middle of the night now. Like I'm just constantly awake.

SPEAKER_03

It is something so scary because like so many people have traumatic stories and or and great, beautiful stories too. Like it, but and it's something you've never done before, and it is something that just sounds scary, but you can do it. You got it. The doctors will help you, everything will be perfect.

SPEAKER_00

I think thank you. I think that my biggest issue with it is that I'm a control freak. Yes, that is what's gonna be the worst for you. I can't control. Yeah, it's it's hard for me.

SPEAKER_03

You just have to go in it with an open mind.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah. Um, my but aside from that, my boobs are big and my future's bright, and life is good. I have nothing else to complain about.

SPEAKER_03

Dude, your boobs are huge though. Like it's nuts. I know. Every time I see you, they're like a melon bigger.

SPEAKER_01

A melon bigger. Dude, I know my bigger.

SPEAKER_03

You're not like heavier lifted. Like, you know what I mean? Like your boobs. Yes, your belly has like grown, but it's not like fat. It's like definitely like a pregnancy belly, but your face has not gained weight, your hips are fine, your legs are fine, your arms are fine, your boobs, on the other hand, are growing like crazy.

SPEAKER_00

I know, they're like weeds. Like, I can't, like, I'm not watering them, I swear. I don't know.

SPEAKER_03

I feel so bad for you. Like, I better be giving you back massages. Bitch, girl. You know how those end. He can't. Yeah, never mind. You'll have triplets in there.

SPEAKER_00

If that's how it works, yeah. But I uh yeah, dude, I don't know. Um because when you get pregnant, your center of gravity already shifts a lot. And now, like, my freaking my knockers are can knock someone out. Like weighing me forward. No, no, I can't. I can't. It's so hard to bend over. And like the other day, Tyler and I we had to the bathroom was getting redone, so we went downstairs to use the shower downstairs, and I was in the shower, and I I needed him to help hold my leg up because I don't have a tub down there, it's just a standing shower. So he had to hold my legs up while I sh like shaved my legs. So that was difficult. Um I found a new method to do that though, so that he doesn't have to help me every time because it's a little bit difficult, but yeah, almost threw my back out last night because he was holding my leg up and I went to go lean my or like reach my left arm over to grab the shower bar downstairs. Nope. That wasn't a good move. That it like pulled something in my back. Yeah. Reaching my arm over. Oh, it was so bad. I'm like, dude, I'm old and I'm pregnant. Like this is a wild combination.

SPEAKER_03

How are your I think our listeners probably will not want to hear this, but how are your toenails doing?

SPEAKER_00

Fine.

SPEAKER_03

Okay. I just wanted to make sure because like I would get a pedicure like before. Okay. Um well you don't have like ingrown toenail issues, do you?

SPEAKER_00

I do. Okay. Only on my big toes and on the outsides of them. Yeah. But I keep them pretty short, so that helps a lot.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah. I struggled because I couldn't reach my feet to take care of them really whenever I was so far pregnant with Ben, and that's what I'm worried about. I just don't want you to struggle like I did.

SPEAKER_00

I still sit like an idiot. Like you should see how I'm sitting right now. I'll try to show you. You like cross-legged? Are you sitting on a leg? Oh yeah.

SPEAKER_03

Oh, that's exactly how I'm sitting right now, bitch.

SPEAKER_00

I will sit like this until I can't. Like it's just I am always cross-legged, so I can reach them like I'm gonna be able to do it.

SPEAKER_03

Oh my god, get your How the fuck did you do that?

SPEAKER_01

I thought you were gonna put your toe in your mouth. I don't know. I don't know if I can get them that close to my feet.

SPEAKER_02

Don't even think that hurts.

SPEAKER_01

Like that's difficult, but I can like yeah, I can definitely like reach my that's pretty impressive stuff.

SPEAKER_03

I don't think whenever I was this far with Ben, I don't think that I could pull my leg up like I've always been like fairly flexible, but I'm I'm paying for it in in like ways that I didn't expect.

SPEAKER_00

Like bending over is very hard. Lifting my legs in the middle of the night is really hard too. Like sometimes like I'll lift my leg to put over Tyler's body, and oh my god, it hurts so bad. Like it hurts my pelvis, but also it's just difficult. Like it's so hard to move. So, but yeah, and I'm pregnant in the summer, so that's um really fun.

SPEAKER_03

I feel for you. I like I really do that.

SPEAKER_00

I'm just happy to be where I'm gonna be able to do it. Yeah, I know you're very grateful.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah. You're allowed to be grateful and still have a complaint once in a while. It's okay. I'm not judging, I promise.

SPEAKER_00

I know. I try not to complain, but um, I'm probably I'm gonna I'm gonna at a certain point.

SPEAKER_03

I'm grateful as hell for Ben Steele like every day, all day, but my god, he's a pain in the ass sometimes.

SPEAKER_00

Uh yeah, but who isn't? I know I am too. All kids are, all people are, yeah, it's okay. He did what the hell?

SPEAKER_03

He did something today that drove me fucking nuts. I don't it was something.

SPEAKER_00

What did he say to you the other day? He said something about like sleigh body or something. Yeah, the sleigh body.

SPEAKER_03

And then today he did something and I can't remember oh he wanted me to go see Mika playing under the couch. So Mika, when we have our like couch pulled out, um, like because we have one of those couches where like you can pull it out to make it like um longer. It's not like a a bed, like it doesn't fold up and out. You just pull it out and then push it back under. And um she can climb underneath it when it's pulled out. And she she's like playing under there with her paw, like like a cat. Like she looks like a cat. And um I already saw it, took a video of it, sent it to people, saved the video, and then he wanted me to go over and see it again, but I was waiting to clock out like at work, and I had to clock out like at an exact time. And he was like, Mom, I need you to come right now. And I was like, Ben, I can't write now. I you have to wait. Yeah. And then he like lost it. Like he got so mad and I was like, Yes, I was like, excuse you, we don't treat each other that way. Stop it. And they already don't feel the best because it's that time of the month and it's pretty heavy, it's pretty rough, and like um like I'm struggling to even eat. Like I can't eat I keep getting sick every time I eat. Like I don't I'm not doing well with anything. If I bend over, I throw up. Like I don't like it's feels like um like it feels like there's too much stuff in my belly, if that makes sense. I don't and I'm not I'm hardly eating, so I don't know. I know I don't understand what is wrong, but maybe it's bloating. I don't know, but either way, maybe I it it's just been a hard couple of days for me, so it's been rough on my so that didn't help it. No, so I and then we built his like climbing dome outside for him, and he's been trying to practice on climbing up it and then jumping down, and he keeps getting too scared to jump down, and it's so hot that we have to take like moments, we can't just be out there for hours. Like it's really it's like there's too much sun exposure and stuff right now, it's too getting too hot. So I'm like, Ben, we can't be out here forever waiting for you to jump down. Like, you need to just get down, like get just do it. And he's like, Count to 10, count to 15, count to seven. And I'm doing it, and it's like three hours later, and he finally he still has to jump down. He's like, My butt hurts, my balls hurt. And I'm like, Well then jump the fuck down. Dude, I get it.

SPEAKER_00

But I'm like, okay. That was me with our nephew last summer at the pool. I was like, if you don't get off that fucking slide right now, and then Tyler was over on the side, like, come on, buddy, you can do it if you do it. We'll play games tonight. I'll get you ice cream, and I'm like, get the fuck down that slide right now, or you're going home. Or like, do it. Yes, I was pissed.

SPEAKER_03

It's so funny to stay on that reverse all the time with that.

SPEAKER_00

Yes, isn't that funny how that works? It's just like a nice balance. But I've yeah, he was holding up the line on the slide, and then he would like let people go in front of him, and I'm like, You are pissing me off, child. But now he's like jumping off diving boards and doing crazy shit, so I'm proud of him. But yeah, that's funny how that works.

SPEAKER_03

Aww. And it's so you feel so bad too, because like you want to be patient and stuff like that, but like sometimes patience doesn't always work, and they kind of need a little bit of a push, like, to get through things, but then you feel guilty about being the person who's like giving the push. But yeah, yeah, it it's a hard, like a hard thing to be in.

SPEAKER_00

When that happened with our nephew, I was with him and our other one at the poll already for a while, and then Tyler came after work. Yeah. So Tyler had a lot more patience than I did at that point because I was like, You're like, it's been all day. Yes, I'm like, you're being too nice to him. That's so funny. It was great, and then I think we did get ice cream after that because they're fucking spoiled. Honestly, though, any of the kids in our life can oh yeah, they can walk me like a dog. Like, I honestly am just like anything you want, sweetheart. Like, I don't care, like anything as long as it's safe.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah, you're like, 'cause as long as you follow, like you know, respect boundaries and follow the rules and everything's safe, thank you.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, like of course I'll buy you an $80 experience to go make your own candle. Yeah, let's do that. Fucking dumb. No, it's great. You got anything else? No, I think that's everything for me.

SPEAKER_03

Oh, do you know? Do you want your bathtub that color?

SPEAKER_00

Oh, no.

SPEAKER_03

They make paint for bathtubs.

SPEAKER_00

That's what Edna was talking about. I don't know what I'm gonna do about it because it looks so complicated to do yourself.

SPEAKER_03

I don't know. I've never done it, but we were talking about doing it eventually, so.

SPEAKER_00

We were we watched a YouTube video like two years ago, I think. Me and Tyler did, because we wanted to do like a quick fix to it. But um, yeah, that's the only thing I think in the bathroom that I'm gonna need to change. So I am gonna look into it.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah, because that's uh I was like, I feel like she probably doesn't want that color. So that's why I brought it up.

SPEAKER_00

But it's like a green. How would you describe that green? I don't even know. I don't know. Like it's like it's like a sea foam green.

SPEAKER_03

Yes, it's kind of like it reminds me of like the like pigment of like a robin's egg, but green, not blue. You know what I mean? Like that's what it reminds me of.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, no, it's not my favorite thing. We're doing like tannish vibes in there. Like I have like white tile and we're gonna do like a tan grout and stuff. So I'm excited for it. I got like a little bit darker grout than what my vanity is gonna be because I don't want the because the vanity is a little lighter. I don't know. It's still I don't know. I'll show you the color of it when it's done, but um, it's almost done. It needs just another coat of paint. It's good. I don't want the the white and the tan grout to kind of like clash, or not clash, but like blend in with one another. So I got a little darker, hopefully, hope like hoping that it offsets it. Why did I stutter so bad just there?

SPEAKER_03

Hanging out with me too much. I am seriously struggling from not using nasal spray. Like I have like a line of pain from my ear the whole way down like to my collarbone, like on the one side of my throat. Go get it.

SPEAKER_00

Will it help you now?

SPEAKER_03

No, I just I have to use it like consistently every day for a while. So yeah. Okay. It's okay. I just did today at all. Yeah, I did this morning. I'm supposed to use it twice a day, like in the morning and then in the evening. Um like every day. So cause if not, then I get like too much uh like water buildup in my ear or something.

unknown

Sure.

SPEAKER_03

So it's only my right ear that gives me issues. It's because I have a freaking hole in there. Like I have a hole in my eardrum. Yeah. So it just causes issues. But oh well, I'll get through it. It's just annoying because like that's why I keep clear my throat.

SPEAKER_00

Oh, you're fine. I haven't noticed to be honest with you. Uh that's why I keep muting, so that's wild. You mute a lot. I don't even notice. Oh, it's red. Okay. Yeah, that's literally what I do. I'm like, okay, she's not available. Her team says away.

SPEAKER_03

Okay, I'm gonna start. Uh, welcome back to the podcast where folklore, mystery, and the unexplained collide. Obviously, it's night, and tonight we're heading deep into the deep forests of the southern New Jersey in search of one of America's oldest and most terrifying cryptids, the Jersey Devil. And even though my son does not listen to this, he will one day. This is for him. And this is for him, yes, because he is obsessed. So, and I'll probably tell him a little bit more of what I've learned, but I don't want him listening to the podcast. He's too young.

SPEAKER_00

You know, that's a good idea. Yeah.

SPEAKER_03

He does brag about it to other people though. He's like, My mom's like literally like strangers. He'll be like, My mom has a podcast, and on all of his friends and their parents know. And I'm like, please don't tell them what my podcast is called.

SPEAKER_02

Oh, yeah, no, don't do that.

SPEAKER_03

Now, if there are people I'm close to, I let them know, but I just don't want my little kids saying too filthy. Because you know, correct, yeah, people are gonna misunderstand and not realize he's saying horrors, and then it's gonna be an issue, so I just don't want him talking about it.

SPEAKER_00

That was my issue. I remember the first time I learned what a horror movie was, and I walked around going, horror movie, horror movie, and you and Courtney were like, Well, little Miss Immature over here can't fucking do you remember?

SPEAKER_03

Yes, and I completely forgot until just fucking now.

SPEAKER_00

That's so funny. Yep. You're like, you're so immature. I didn't even know what a horror was. I had no idea. Yeah, I'm sorry. I just knew it was a bad word. I'm sorry. I knew it was a word I couldn't say.

SPEAKER_03

I wasn't like patient enough with you when we were younger, I think.

SPEAKER_00

So I think that you were. I think sometimes it depended when I yeah. When I was like five, you weren't, but when I was seven, you were. Does that make sense?

SPEAKER_03

Yeah, five was a rough age for me for some. Like when you were five, it was rough for me. And I think it was more so me, not you, if that makes sense. Like I was going through my own shit. So Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

I mean you were a teenager, man, and then you like moved in with us, and it was just yeah, there's a lot of things.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah, there was a lot going on. So, yeah. But either way, we're we're through that in Besties now, so. For nearly three centuries, witnesses have claimed to see a bizarre creature stalk in the dense wilderness of the pine barons. Some describe it as a winged beast with hooves, others say it has a head of a horse, glowing red eyes, and blood curdling scream that echoes through the trees. Is it simply folklore passed down through generations? A case of mistaken identity, or could something truly unexplained be lurking in the shadows? Let's jump in, it's like my favorite saying, and explore the legend of the Jersey Devil. The story begins in the early 1700s. According to local folklore, a woman known as Mother Leeds lived in what is now southern New Jersey, already burdened with twelve children, which sounds so mean, but she became she became pregnant with her thirteenth. Frustrated and overwhelmed, she allegedly cried out, Let this one be the devil. Oh my When the child was born on a stormy night, the baby appeared normal at first, but moments later it transformed into something monstrous. Witnesses claim the infant grew wings, horns, claws, and hooves. It let out an unearthly scream before flying up the chimneys and disappearing into the darkness of the pine barrens. And thus the Jersey Devil was born.

SPEAKER_00

I didn't know his lore.

SPEAKER_03

Sounds spooky-ooky.

SPEAKER_00

I mean, no his, yeah.

SPEAKER_03

I like heard it a like a long time ago, but forgot about it until I was looking into this again. Cause I didn't know much about like I know I heard like little snippets of the Jersey Devil before I researched this. Um but not a lot. But Ben has been obsessed this entire school year. Like he's out of school now, but this entire school year he's talked about the Jersey Devil, he's like researched it. Um, because apparently they don't have strong enough, like I have more parental controls on his home tablet than he does in his school tablet. Um Yeah, I remember that. That was a whole thing. I think we actually talked about it here. Probably, yeah. I don't remember, but yeah, he he was able to find some stuff on his school tablet a few times that I was like I brought up to the school district, and I was like, I don't think the kids should be able to access this. So and he goes to a great school. I'm not complaining about the school, I just think that they let something slide too much in the tablets. Yeah. Right. Now, historians point out that there's a little evidence. Hold on, not there's a little evidence. Uh no shot a little one. Hist I'm just gonna start over. Historians point out that there's little evidence this event actually happened. In fact, many Many researchers believe the tale evolved from political disputes involving the real Leeds family who lived in colonial New Jersey. But as with many legends, the truth may have became become dangled with myth over time. Well what? Becamped become becamped. But what the fuck? I'm just making up words now. But that's enough of truth covering. Let's get back into the real thing. To understand why this legend endured, we need to talk about the pine barrens. Pine barrens cover more than a million acres of forest, swamps, and winding trails. Despite being located between major cities like Philadelphia and New York City, large sections remain surprisingly isolated. At night, the woods become eerily quiet. Dense fog settles among the trees. Strange sounds carry through the darkness. It's the perfect setting for legends to thrive. For generations, locals reported hearing screams that didn't sound like any known animal. Farmers claimed livestock disappeared, and travelers told stories of something flying overhead. The pine parents pine the pine barons became the Jersey Devil's domain. The pine parents. I'm really struggling with that first. Like I heap I don't you I still say that. I know, I know, but like if you if you paid attention to how I'm saying it, I'm making sure I'm like the pine barons, like every time.

SPEAKER_01

That's why I thought about honored because of how I'm talking.

SPEAKER_03

Because I'm trying really hard not to fuck it up. But yeah, that's exactly what I was worried about saying. The most famous chapter in the Jersey Devil story occurred in January 1909. Over the course of a single week, hundreds of sightings poured in from across New Jersey and neighboring states. People reported seeing a winged creature flying over rooftops. Police claimed they encountered strange tracks in the snow, and factory workers said they watched a bizarre animal soar across the sky. Newspapers became flooded with reports, schools closed, businesses shut their doors, and entire communities became gripped by fear. Is it became Became? Just became funny. Unlike literally every time I say it, I'm like, I don't think that that like I don't know.

SPEAKER_00

Became, yeah. Okay, thank you. But it's crazy because they'll close schools down for that.

SPEAKER_01

But then like back in their day, back in our parents' days, they'd have to hike through all the snow.

SPEAKER_03

But there's something flying overhead. Yeah. Dude, I saw an eagle, a like a golden eagle, at my house the other day. Did you? That's crazy. Yeah, I thought it was a hawk at first. And then because we have a lot of hawks.

SPEAKER_00

Watch me go.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah, I've been keeping a really good eye on her.

SPEAKER_00

Get her as.

SPEAKER_03

Well, she's not allowed outside too much by herself anyway, because the heat. She she's pissed at me. She's real pissed because she wants to go out there and just l sit on the porch watching people, and I'm like, absolutely fucking not get in the house now.

SPEAKER_00

Is she over at your in-laws right now?

SPEAKER_03

No. Um, she's laying on the couch. That's I wanted to go swimming so bad, but I'm worried about her sitting outside in the heat. I can put her in the pool. But um, like I'd have to dunk her like every couple of minutes, probably. I'm just so worried. I'm terrified with her being a baby in the heat.

SPEAKER_00

I get it.

SPEAKER_03

So, but I don't know. I'll probably go over and swim. Like night swimming. Night swimming's great. Um, because it's like with it being so hot, it's been like warm enough like in the evenings to swim at night too. Yeah. Some witnesses describe the creature as standing several feet tall with bat-like wings and a horse-like face. Others reported glowing eyes and an unsettling scream. But you can't tell there's just a whole bunch of different shit going on here. Right. Uh skeptics argue that mass hysteria fueled the panic. Once reports became I'm sorry, once reports began appearing in newspapers, more people may have interpreted ordinary sights and sounds through the lens of the legend. So they're thinking that like other people got spooked because of seeing it to where they're like, oh, that was like a fucking coyote or something. No, and they're like, no, it was this devil.

SPEAKER_00

Right.

SPEAKER_03

Still, the sheer number of reports remains one of the most fascinating encrypted flaps in American history. I don't know why I said flaps in there. That sounds weird now that I'm saying it out loud. I should start reading this out loud before I read it out loud.

SPEAKER_01

Practice in the mirror.

SPEAKER_03

So, what are people actually seeing? There are several theories. The first is simple misidentification. Birds such as cranes, owls, or herons can appear surprisingly strange in low light. Have you ever seen like a heron? I think that's that's how you pronounce that, right? No. Okay, so I saw one. A heron. Um, but I always that's how I've always pronounced it, so I figure that's how it is. But anyway, um Yeah, I think so. They are crazy birds to see in person. Like, like if if you haven't seen one, I don't know how to explain it. It's just like I had one come like running at me when I was a kid. There was like a a storm or something that knocked it off track of where it was supposed to go, and it was like near, it was on our farm, and it like came running after me one time, and I was like trying to describe it to my grandma, and she was like, she she saw it too, so she like knew what it was. I did not fart if you heard that. It was just um my foot like sliding across the chair because I moved my legs.

SPEAKER_00

Dude, these birds have a fucking dope ass slick back, though. I like the little show me what you're looking at.

SPEAKER_03

Hold on. Hold on, let me get my little piggy like a toupee.

SPEAKER_01

The little piggy. Yeah, it looks like a little tail. That's so funny looking. Oh wait, this one's a good one. This one looks pretty accentuated. Guys, just Google it, okay? Yep, we'll get it.

SPEAKER_03

But yeah, it came running at me one time. I scared it. It like tried to attack me. It was not fun. It scared the shit out of me. I bet. Their silhouettes can look almost monstrous when glimpsed briefly, which I will I will attest to that. I've scared the shit out of me. Another possibility is that the entire phenomenon is folklore amplified by expectation. If someone enters the Pine Barrens expecting to encounter the Jersey Devil, ordinary sounds and shapes may suddenly seem sinister. Which I am great at that, I will say. Yes. I felt my stomach was so tight and I was so overwhelmed, and I thought it was because there were so many people. And then I found out later that it was haunted, and I was like, I wonder why I felt like if it was because of that or because of the people. I don't know. Um, but yes, like I will like uh you know grow into like a cemetery or something like that. Like I get kind of weird feeling because I know that there could be things, and then I'm like, do is it because I know there could be something around, or is there actually something around? So others point to hoaxes throughout history. Several people have admitted to creating fake tracks or staging sightings for publicity. But cryptids cryptid enthusiasts aren't convinced. Some believe the Jersey Devil could be an undiscovered species, others suggest it may be something paranormal rather than biological, an entity that doesn't fit neatly into the natural world, the truth remains elusive. Even today reports continue. Campers, hikers, and local residents occasionally claim they've heard screams in the woods or s or seen unusual winged figures moving through the trees. Most settings are brief, a flash of movement, a strange cry, a silhouette against the night sky. None have produced conclusive evidence. Yet the legends refuse to die. Or I'm sorry, the yet the legend refuses to die. Perhaps that's because the Jersey Devil has become more than a creature. It's a symbol of mystery itself, a reminder that even in the modern world, some places still hold secrets. Whether the Jersey Devil is a flesh and blood crypton, a centuries-old folk tale, or simply a product of human imagination, its story continues to capture our attention. I have a few stories from those who have seen the devil.

SPEAKER_00

Ooh, tell me about them. My attention wants to be captured.

SPEAKER_03

January 16th, 1909. The town of Bristol, Pennsylvania had settled into silence. Patrolman. Patrolman? James. That's me as fuck, bro. I do that all the time. James Sackville was walk which sounds like a fake name, honestly. But apparently this is like a solid, like this was like a like a police person, so I will not make an inappropriate joke. Was well, I mean it's from 1909, so you're good. Uh was walking his nightly walk near the Delaware River when he heard dogs barking frantically in the distance. At first he thought little of it. Then he saw something move near the canal. Sackville later described the figure as unlike any animal he had ever encountered. It appeared to have wings, a long neck, and strange legs that seemed to hop like a bird. Then it screamed. It was the heron. Not a howl, not a bird, a scream. A sound echoed through the cold winter air. Acting on instinct, the officer drew his revolver and fired several shots towards the creature. Bad.

unknown

Okay.

SPEAKER_03

The thing spread its Yeah, don't do that. This the thing spread its wings and launched itself into the darkness. Within seconds it vanished. Sackville would later insist that whatever he saw was whatever he saw that night was no ordinary animal. Another sighting. Sackville's sighting, which I don't know. That name it just sound doesn't sound fake.

SPEAKER_01

Another Yes, it sounds like he's just that like that's the stripper you hire for your movie. James Sackville.

SPEAKER_00

Like, okay, sure. A real guide a real job.

SPEAKER_03

Watch like one of our listeners have that last name.

SPEAKER_00

Oh my god, watch it be like his like someone's gonna be able to do it. Well, like this is my like great-great-great grandpa. And he saved the town from Re-Sand. Re-San was flying in the night and they closed school down, but it was fine because Uncle Sackville stayed.

SPEAKER_03

Sam, I really should have made a joke about Wingspan in here. I didn't even think about it. That would have been perfect.

unknown

E.

SPEAKER_03

W. Minster, the local postmaster, claimed he was awake around two o'clock in the morning when something caught his attention over the Delaware River. Looking into the darkness, he saw what he described as a large flying creature. Its shape was wrong, the proportions seemed unnatural, and then came the sound. A shrill, pure piercing scream that cut through the night. Minster, which I keep wanting to say mister Minster, watches the creature cross above the river before disappearing into the darkness. By sunrise, strange hoof like tracks were reported being discovered throughout the area. The following morning, residents across New Jersey woke up to something disturbing. Footprints. Hundreds of them. The tracks appeared in yards, fields, roads, and even on rooftops. Witnesses described them as cloven hoof hoof prints. But there was a problem. The tracks often continued over fences without stopping. Some seemed to begin and end abruptly. Others crossed frozen streams and rooftops where no animal no normal animal could have traveled. Trappers examined the prints and reportedly admitted they couldn't identify them. As news spread, fear spread with it. People began locking their doors earlier. Children were kept indoors, and everyone started asking the same question. What made those tracks?

SPEAKER_00

For real, I'd be like Krampas?

SPEAKER_01

I'm so bad. I'm so sorry, everyone.

SPEAKER_03

That was funny. A few days later, a family in Haddon Heights reported an encounter that remains one of the most vivid descriptions in Jersey Devil lore. Late at night they noticed movement outside. Standing in the yard was a bizarre creature. Witnesses described it as having a horse-like or dog like head, a thin body, short front limbs, and large wings.

SPEAKER_01

Bitch.

SPEAKER_03

Absolutely not. Right? Oh. My mouth froze. What the hell? I know it's charged. The animal appeared to be rummaging through the trash. For several seconds, the family watched in disbelief. Then the creature noticed them. It leapt no just kidding. It leaped over a fence with startling speed. Moments later it unfolded its wings and disappeared into the darkness. Boom boom boom. Wow. And then our fifth sighting. In Trenton, Councilman E. P. Whedon awoke one night. No.

SPEAKER_01

Oh sorry, say it one more time.

SPEAKER_03

Counselor who? Councilman E. P. Wheedon. Woke one night to a strange sound outside his bedroom window. Of what's it are you just being funny?

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, I just think that's such an interesting name.

SPEAKER_03

It sounds fake too.

SPEAKER_00

It does, but I'm sure it's like a real person. And for that, no disrespect. You have a dope ass name.

SPEAKER_03

I think it's because they're like old older names, maybe.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah.

SPEAKER_03

But like names are passed down through the family, so I don't understand like I've never met anybody with last name Wheedon.

SPEAKER_00

Me either. But like to just abbreviate your first and middle initial like that and then have Wheedon at the end, it's like that's bold. I like it. Eepee weeden. Like it sounds like a little baby dog. I like it. Eepee weeden.

SPEAKER_03

We're going to hell. We are both going to hell.

SPEAKER_01

My god.

SPEAKER_03

He heard a loud flapping noise. He looked outside but saw nothing. The next morning, however, he discovered something unusual in the snow. A trail of hoof prints. Hoof prints. Sorry. Every time I like say it, I think of like I like want to say it all like aggressive. The track settlers. Settlers. Oh my god. When I did that, I was like, why did I why am I so aggressive? It's like I don't like. You put like a camera or a mic on me and I'm doing something fucking stupid. I'm just gonna explain. Yeah, it's over.

SPEAKER_01

Me too. I'm cooked.

SPEAKER_03

Dylan will be like, and he makes fun of me constantly for it because he'll like ask me to do a reel where like he needs me to help him with something. And he's like, why can't you just be natural? And I'm like, I I've tried. This is natural to me.

SPEAKER_00

This is okay, but to be fair, we have performance anxieties. I do like civilians. Don't watch us do anything. Me too. Like someone was watching me type the other day, and I fucked everything up.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah, like all of them your fingers are on the wrong keys.

SPEAKER_01

Like you're like up on the numbers.

SPEAKER_03

Oh yes, it's probably even worse for you.

SPEAKER_01

It is worse for me because people are already like, what the fuck are you doing? Somebody tells it on my kids.

SPEAKER_03

Hold on, let me see. I want to like I'll give this to you real quick.

SPEAKER_01

Dad's like I think you're giving him too much credit. He uses one one.

SPEAKER_03

He's like velociraptoring it, like he definitely does. I type very professionally. As Ben likes to say, I have a very boring job and all I do is type times a thousand.

SPEAKER_00

I like it. That's a good description.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah. Anyway, the trucks crossed the yard and continued beyond the property. Soon neighbors began report began reporting identical footprints. The entire neighborhood started finding them. Uh within days, new papers new newspapers across the region were covering what became known as the Great Jersey Devil Panic of 1909. Yeah. For over 300 years, people have ventured what what were you saying? I'm sorry.

SPEAKER_00

Oh, I was just gonna say it's that far back. Like that's crazy.

SPEAKER_03

Mm-hmm. Yeah, it's ancient. Uh for over 300 years, people have ventured into the pine barrens wondering might what might oh my god. For over three hundred years, people have ventured into the pine barrens wondering what might be waiting beyond the next stand of trees. And maybe that's why legends like this endure. Not because we know they're real, but because a small part of us wonders, what if they are? Do I spin the wheel? That's all I got.

SPEAKER_01

Oh wait, you gotta go next. You know what's so funny? Is my I was gonna do a bit and I was gonna be like, well, make sure to tune in next week, but you didn't for me.

SPEAKER_03

I can't believe I forgot. I like because I just like didn't even get in the wheel again.

SPEAKER_00

You want me to spin the boil? I didn't. That's so fucking funny. Well, yeah, make sure to tune in next week, guys. We're done. We're just on the same page, bitch. That's all. That's you were like soaking into my brain. I literally had my outro screen pulled up. Like I was gonna be like, well, I wouldn't have you to be like, wait, wait, what?

SPEAKER_03

I wouldn't have. I literally would have gone with it because I'm telling you, my brain my brain is there's not much going on up there. There's some spiderwebs going on today.

SPEAKER_01

That's okay.

SPEAKER_03

No, seriously, like I think I slept too much yesterday and last night. I think that that's part of my problem today. I slept it. I did. I really, really did. And and now I'm like, you don't want to ever have that like too much sleep, like hangover feeling. Like that like uh like the day after you sleep too much, or you like slept 15 hours in a row. Yeah, I have that feeling today.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, that's that's rough. But damn, good job. Thank you. Give me your cryptid, I want to know all about it.

unknown

Okay!

SPEAKER_00

If you spend enough time digging through modern cryptids, you start to notice a pattern. Most of them are fuzzy. You have blurry photographs, grainy trail cam footage, something moving in the distance that might be a bear, a deer, a trick of light, or someone's imagination filling in the gaps. The Fresno Nightcrawler is different. Because the first time people saw it, they didn't see a shadow in the woods or a shape behind a tree. They saw what looked like legs just walking across a fucking lawn. No torso, no arms, no visible body at all. The creature now known as the Fresno Nightcrawler is a modern cryptid associated primarily with Fresno and surrounding areas in California, with its most famous footage reportedly captured in 2007 on a residential security camera. It was later discussed widely widely online and eventually became one of the internet's most recognizable unexplained entities. The footage is short. It's a quiet backyard at night. On a fixed security camera, you see movement near the edge of the frame. Two pale, elongated shapes step into view. They walk in a slow, almost gliding motion, but no visible body connects them. Just two vertical forms moving in sync, like something learning how to exist in gravity for the first time. And then they leave the frame. That's it. It literally looks like walking pants crossing a yard in the dark. At first, people assumed it was a hoax. But what made the fresco nightcrawler stick in people's minds. Sorry. I have like indigestion so bad. The baby. Yeah, I guess I'll do it. But what made them the fresco I'm gonna try one more fucking time to say this goddamn sentence. But what made the fresco nightcrawler stick in people's minds wasn't just the footage itself, it was the reaction to it. Because even after years of analysis, nobody has been able to fully agree on what they're looking at. The original video was recorded by a homeowner using a basic outdoor security camera. According to early discussions, the homeowner didn't even realize anything unusual had happened until reviewing the footage later. There's no obvious attempt to film a monster. It's just a static camera doing what security cameras do. Record everything, whether you're paying attention or not. Over the years, the footage has been enhanced, slowed down, brightened, zoomed in, and stabilized. Every time it's processed, the same problem remains. It still looks like that. Two vertical pale forms moving in a coordinated gate with no visible supporting structure between them. And the more you look at it, the harder it becomes to mentally fix it into something normal that people have tried. I've tried, but I don't fucking get it. Some say it's a person wearing extremely loose fabric or costume pants designed to obscure the torso. Others suggest puppetry, props, or CGI inserted into the video after the fact. Explanation has gained universal acceptance, mostly because the footage is too limited to conclusively prove anything in either direction.

SPEAKER_03

Can I Google it? Yes. Okay.

SPEAKER_00

Look up um original Fresco Fres Fresno sorry, Fresno, not Fresco. Fresno Nightcrawler footage, like 2007.

SPEAKER_03

The fuck? That's so weird.

SPEAKER_00

It's isn't it kind of cute though?

SPEAKER_03

Yeah, it's so hard to see.

SPEAKER_00

It's just like little legs. Well, I guess they're kind of massive if you're not going to be able to do it.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah, they're probably actually really big.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah. Looks like a little wishbone upside down, just like. I like it.

SPEAKER_03

Looks like something you'd see on like uh like Hocus Pocus or something. Or not no not hocus pocus. Uh what is um it's a Halloween movie. What the fuck is it? Uh Halloween town. Halloween town. I feel like that's something you'd see walking around Halloween Town.

SPEAKER_00

I like it. I think so too. The ambiguity is where the Fresno Nightcrawler lives. The story gained traction online in the late 2000s and early 2010s as forums and early crypto communities began circling the footage. It wasn't tied to ancient mythology or regional folklore. Unlike creatures like Bigfoot or Lake Monsters, there was no long history to draw from. This literally seemed to appear fully formed in the digital age. Because most cryptos evolved slowly, they're built from centuries of storytelling, misidentification, and cultural memory. The Fresno Nightcrawler didn't have that foundation because it started as a video, and then it became a question. A second wildly discussed clip. Why do I keep saying wildly? It's fucking widely. Yeah, yeah. A second widely discussed clip appeared later, reporting from the area near Yosemite National Park.

SPEAKER_03

I would have like 100% thought you were being serious if you didn't giggle and I'm I like was like, I know I couldn't help myself. When you did it, I was like, because you were joking on my face. Yeah, like I was like, what do I like? Should I like if she wouldn't have giggled, what was I gonna do? Like, was I gonna correct you?

SPEAKER_00

I can't do it. I don't okay, so every time you do something, like you can you can carry on with the bit. I can't. I I ruin it because I laugh. But you like full on are like Kenacombs.

SPEAKER_03

That's because I just miss and honestly it fucks me up like on a daily though, because like I mispronounce things purposely all the time to where when I do have to be serious, I mispronounce shit all the time. Like it really fucks me up. But like that's that's why I can do the bit because I always just mispronounce shit. Like I literally what I love. At home, I talk to Ben and mispronounce stuff all the time on purpose.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, right. It's just it's great. But no, um, it was from it was near uh Yosemite National Park. This footage also shows similar elongated leg-like features moving through an outdoor environment at night. Like the original, it's short, low resolution, and difficult to interpret definitively. If it were only one video, it would be easy to dismiss as as a single hoax or anomaly, but multiple sightings, even with the same basic structure, make the question more complicated. Even so, there's still no consensus. Skeptics point out that the figures are too clean, too simple, too easy to fake with basic props or digital editing. Supporters counter that simplicity cuts both ways. If you were trying to convincingly fake something, why choose something so minimal that it becomes harder to interpret, not easier? It doesn't look like a traditional monster. It doesn't have teeth or eyes or claws, it doesn't even really look alive in the way that we expect living things to look. It looks like motion without context, like something that hasn't fully decided what it's supposed to be. Because if you go look up that video, like it the walking th i I don't even know how to describe it. Well, I try to in a in a second, but over time, the Fresno Nightcrawler stopped being just a strange video and started becoming something closer to a modern myth. Not because it came from ancient tradition, but because the internet did what the internet does best. People thought alien experiment, interdimensional being, unfinished entity, a joke that escaped its creator, a glitch in perception, a hoax that accidentally became iconic. But none of those explanations fully erase the feeling the footage creates when you first see it. Because even if you tell yourself it's fake, your brain still has to interpret what it's seeing, and what it's seeing is something that looks like it learned how to walk without a rest of a body. Now moving to the Yosemite sighting. Like the first, it shows a nighttime outdoor setting, and again, something pale and elongated moves through the frame. The movement is similar enough to immediately trigger recognition, but different enough that it raises even more questions. Because if this is a hoax, it's either being repeated by multiple people independently, or it's being copied in a way that keeps the same core design intact. The Yosemite footage is even less clear than the Fresno clip. The resolution is lower, the angle is less stable, and the figures appear briefly before leaving the frame, but it's still the same problem, because whatever it is, it moves like something standing on two vertical structures without any visible body connecting them. And that's the part that like people can't shake. Naturally, the debunking attempts started almost immediately. As I said earlier, one of the most common explanations is that the nightcrawler is simply a person wearing a costume or loose fabric designed to hide the torso and arms, leaving only elong elongated legs visible. I can only explain the walk as careful, possibly exaggerated by camera blur and low light. Another theory suggests simple puppetry or prop manipulation, something being guided just out of frame or suspended in a way that creates the illusion of independent movement. Then there's the digital manipulation argument. Early 2000s video editing tools were capable of inserting simple CGI elements into footage. Skeptics point out that the Nightcrawler's simplicity actually makes it easier to fake. I don't I don't know. I don't think that any of these explanations fully close the case, but there are more um there are the more speculative theories. Some people suggest that the Nightcrawler could be a kind of cryptid unique to the modern area. Nope, era? Don't know what the fuck I'm doing. Um, so you know, something that doesn't come from lore, but from surveillance itself. Essentially a creature that only appears when observed through cameras, which would explain why it's almost always seen in static and nighttime footage. Megan will probably lean towards Allen's. I know for certain that the nightcrawler isn't human or animal at all, but something misinterpreted by our visual systems, like an entity that doesn't conform to our expectations of anatomy. Some suggest it might not be a leaving a living creature in the traditional sense, but a visual glitch, a perception error, or something that exists at the edge of how cameras interpret motion in low light. Maybe the Fresno Nightcrawler is a bim. Who knows? We can all be bims together. What's interesting is that none of these theories require the nightcrawler to be aggressive or dangerous. Unlike traditional cryptids, it doesn't behave like a predator. It doesn't chase, attack, or interact with people in any documented way. It simply appears, moves, and leaves. But wait. Because now there's been proof of two sightings. The footage stops being the only thing people talk about. One of the most commonly repeated types of stories come from people describing something they only realized later might have resembled the nightcrawler. They'll say things like, I saw something white moving near the edge of a field when I was a kid, or it looked like two thin legs walking across the road, but I assumed it was a trick of the headlights. In almost every case there's a delay. People don't interpret the moment as strange until afterwards. There's one reddit thread that gets referenced a lot in the nightcrawler discussions. People describe driving late at night on rural roads and seeing something pale standing near the shoulder, something not fully formed. It's not very clearly identifiable. It's just vertical shapes that don't seem to match any known animal or person at first glance. By the time they slow down or look again, it's gone. In some cases, drivers say they initially thought they saw someone walking oddly in the distance, only to realize later that the proportions didn't make sense for a human figure. One commenter described seeing something near farmland outside Fresno while driving at night. They said it appeared to be two glowing pale legs moving independently, but they couldn't tell if it was actually connected to a body hidden by darkness or just an optical illusion created by headlights reflecting off something thin and vertical. They admitted they did not stop to investigate. Most people don't do that. Farmers reported disturbed ground and fields with no obvious tracks leading in or out. Security cameras captured motion near fences but produced no identifiable subject when reviewed later. Dogs would refuse to go near certain spots open certain open areas at night, sorry. Dogs refuse to go near open certain areas at night. None of these are evidence to anything specific on their own, but someone can fully believe the nightcrawler is a hoax and still feel a small jolt of uncertainty when they see something strange moving in the corner of their vision at night. I do have like two small stories from Reddit to read. The first one it was posted a few years ago. It says, around an hour or so, around 9 PM, I was in the kitchen cooking something when my brother kept pointing outside and waving at something, which I found pretty odd, considering it was pitch dark in our backyard. The author is seventeen or was seventeen years old and she was talking about her three-year-old little brother. He kept going at it for a few minutes, just giggling, waving, and telling me to come look and see. I just laughed and pushed it aside as normal toddler behavior. A few minutes after that, my other brother, eleven years old, comes to take out the trash, in which he comes rushing back. He burst in through the door and the look on his face was something else. He was terrified, and he started telling me about how in the backyard he saw a weird, white, skinny creature with long legs, no arms, and slight black hollows that appeared to mark where its eyes were. He said it was by the trash bins, taller than them even, and it was staring directly at him. He's never been the type to make things up like that. It's totally out of character for him, and his reaction stealed the deal for me. I believe him 100%. Anyway, we've never seen anything like this happen, or had anything like this happen, but I thought it was cool enough to share, kinda freaked out. And I was looking through the comments on there, and a lot of people say that, well, this took place in Georgia, and a lot of people say that there are nightcrawler sightings in Georgia as well. Um, so you know, it could be on the the east coast, it could be on the west coast, the nightcrawler can be anywhere. But I mean it originates from Fresno, but I think that that one was pretty interesting because that was the first time anybody necessarily well not anybody, but that was the first time I saw somebody report eyes or report it just standing instead of walking.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah, that is interesting. Sorry, you good?

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, bro, it's hard to breathe. The next story is called Fresno, Night Crawler, Sighting and Yosemite. Yosemite. You're like, bitch, I hate you.

SPEAKER_03

No.

SPEAKER_00

I, 22 male, just recently got the opportunity to hike Halfdome in Yosemite, but near the end of my hike I had a rather strange encounter. I was coming down the trail around 6 p.m. It was still light out right after you crossed the Vernal Falls Bridge and had a clear view of the massive granite cliffs below Washburn Point when I noticed an out-of-place object nestled in an alcove roughly halfway up the thousand foot tall cliffside. It was a bright white color, whiter than any of the naturally occurring patterns on the rock, and it was shaped like two big billowy pant legs, think MC Hammer pants, connected at the top with some sort of odd white shape where the legs came together. The object didn't appear to be made of any sort of fabric, however, as it didn't move a ripple in the high winds like you'd expect of a fabric, it's also worth noting that this was in September, so no snow anywhere on the mountainside. It was quite far away, but even so I would estimate its height around seven or eight feet. I stopped my descent to stare at it for a second when another hiker passed me and stopped to strike up a conversation. I asked her if she saw that thing up on the cliffside and immediately she points up at the white object and goes, Yeah, that thing looks kind of like a kid in a white bath towel. I was wondering if you were looking at that when I saw you stopped. Mind you, this mountain we're looking at is huge. Like big enough to fill your entire field of view from where we were standing huge. And out of all of that, she knew even before I said anything exactly what I was looking at. The weird white pant thing up on the cliff. She described it as a child in a towel, and I suspect because the gap between the white pant leg made it look like a white object wrapped around a dark object, though the dark was the same color as the rest of the recessed alcove on the cliff. I asked her if she had ever heard of the Fresno Nightcrawler, which she hadn't, and I explained to her what they looked like and she kept staring at the thing on the cliff side and declared, that's exactly what I'm looking at. I kept stopping to look back at it from different angles as we descended further down the trail, and each time the perspective shifted in such a way to confirm that it was some sort of solid object, not markings on the granite. I have to believe that that's some sort of strange foreign object that was planted up there or an optical illusion created by a particularly stark white piece of granite cliff, but it was eerie how neatly it appeared to match the nightcrawler security clamp cam slash trail cam footage. And I thought that one was interesting because it took place in Yosemite around near where that second footage was found. And I was like, hmm.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah, that's super and it's more than like one person too, like Yeah, multiple people saw that.

SPEAKER_00

There's been so much speculation over the years on whether this is a hoax or not. I suggest doing your own research if you feel so inclined, but I enjoyed this cryptid. The Nightcrawler doesn't scare people because it looks dangerous. It scares people because it looks unfinished. Like something that should not be moving through our world the way it does, but is doing it anyway. Quietly, casually, and without explanation. So if you ever find yourself diving nope. No. If you ever find yourself driving down a dark road, passing empty fields lit only by headlights, or scrolling through another granny clip online that doesn't quite make sense, you might remember those strange pale shapes from Fresno. And you might do what most people do in every version of the story. You might look for a second, pause for half a beat, try to understand what you just saw, and then keep going anyway. Just continuing life as if nothing happened. Even if you're not entirely sure nothing did.

SPEAKER_03

That's interesting. I didn't know anything about that, so Yeah, that one was a fun one.

SPEAKER_00

Um yeah, like Google it. Make your own assumptions. Is that a hoax or not? I'm not saying anything. I know nothing. But it's fun.

SPEAKER_03

I haven't made up my mind yet.

SPEAKER_00

What's an alien? Alens! Allen's Tib. Do us justice.

SPEAKER_03

One day we'll we'll s spin Allen's. Today's the day. I know it.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, yeah. I'm gonna spin the hoil now. What do you got?

SPEAKER_03

Sorry, it sounds like a roller coaster going up.

SPEAKER_01

You put your whole fucking body into that too, but it's like your whole neck. I really did. You did.

SPEAKER_00

But we get we got catacombs. Catacombs. Catalacombs. We're gonna officially end the episode now, so make sure to tune in next week. If you're enjoying the podcast, make sure to give us a five-star rating on Spotify and Apple Podcasts.
