So sit back, enjoy the sunrise, and let's start the day with uplifting thoughts and inspiring insights!

Lori Lee:

Good morning. I'm not sure if you're on audio only or if you're watching this out on YouTube, but I actually decided to come today and record in front of, um, the sun rising here at a small town on the east coast. So hopefully, um, we'll be able to see the sun rising behind me as we go through this. And it won't be a long message today. I just, I wanted to talk about, I guess I wanted to talk about, you know, our mentalist, our mental state, including myself. It's a very precarious world we live in right now. Um, it's very decisive and sometimes downright scary. And, you know, I've often heard, um, several times that, you know, you, you can succeed and you can get through your days and your mental state at, at like the sound of safety. You need to feel safe. It goes back to that, um, flight, you know, fright or flight, um, from our ancestor days. And believe it or not, we still, we still act on those innate tendencies. And, it, it could be, you know, it could be anything, you could have had an argument with your spouse, you know, maybe even worse, um, it, it could be a problem at work. What I think I, you know, and, and if you let these thoughts consume you, um, you could, you could really fall into, you know, a bad state of mind. Even, even depression. And depression has, you know, I go back and forth on it sometimes as far as you know, how much control we have over it. But I do believe we have a lot more control over our state of depression than we give ourselves credit for. We think that it's something that happens to us when in reality, whether you want to hear this or not, we have full control over that. We have full control over our thoughts and what we think about. And certainly if you think about the state of the world, um, and, or like, you know, if you're struggling with a child right now or, you know, your spouse or your job and you, and you just focus on that, um, that focus will bring. Those thoughts more to reality or or you can choose Not to focus on the negative and try and figure out okay, well why You know, what is what is why am I so upset about The state of the world What has me consumed with that? Why am I so upset about my children or my spouse? Yeah, maybe it was the argument, but I say it goes deeper than that. I say it goes down to you not feeling safe, you know, um, whether it's with the world, you have the ability to choose your thoughts. So let me suggest that if you are in a rough state right now, um, and I I'll be honest, I've been in some dark places through my life, um, starting as a young teenager and you know, right into my adult life. One thing that, you know, I, once I had children, I always focused on them, then myself, but it didn't mean the feelings weren't there. But for me, one action that I have learned through the years that I can take and it immediately, immediately, changes. That's how I feel is getting out in nature. And if you can get out and walk barefoot in nature, even better. But in the Northeast, if it's in the middle of the winter, not necessarily something you can do. But if you can get outside, and I think that has to do with being closer to the divine when you're outside. So that's one thing you can readily do. And that, that takes. I won't say it takes no effort, but it, it just takes very little effort. And the other thing we need to think about, um, is going to sleep at night. We need to protect our thoughts at night. Because, um, The one thing we're supposed to do at night is prepare ourselves for a restful, joyful, blissful sleep. Because whatever you're thinking about, or if you watch the news, or read something that doesn't settle with you before falling asleep, that will set your tone for the next day. And I've talked about how important that first conversation of the morning is. And there have been times that, you know, I still wake up and I feel this heaviness on me. So you know, I immediately start praying. Seagull. Don't know if you heard that. Um, so you need to do all you can to set yourself up for a restful sleep. One of the things, uh, that I like to do, and everybody, you know, sometimes will roll their eyes at me, but I like to journal and I like to just, just read. And if you don't even want to have to write it down, just think about it then. Just think about three things you were grateful for, for that day. And again, I'm always about the feelings. Feel the feelings when you're, when you're visualizing the event and what you were thinking about. Visualize how that makes you feel. And fall asleep on those thoughts and those gratefulness. Because it's very hard to be scared and it's very hard to be judgmental. When you're in a state of active gratitude, uh, try it. It's also what's that other, you know, it's hard to be sad when you force yourself to smile. That's, you know, that's something else. When you're feeling really sad, you go to the mirror and and smile and look at yourself and smile and say three things that you're happy about about yourself because there is, I mean, we all bring to this life. Our own talents that we are to hear, that we are here to share with others. To me, that's what life is truly all about. So another short episode, but I just, I wanted you to realize that you have control over your thoughts. You know, the outside circumstances cannot force you to think anything. And next week I would like to talk about, um, positive thinking and, you know, go a little bit deeper on that because again, we, we have control, you know, and I always end every episode with, you are enough. That is true. You have everything you need inside of you to turn whatever obstacle you are facing right now around. And I always say that you're the hero of your own story. And that is also true. Nobody's coming to save you. You know, sometimes it would be nice if somebody could come to save us, but then you know what? It doesn't last. Until we learn to save ourselves with the help of the Divine, we will just continue to be in this cycle. Oh, I think I see you. I don't know if it's coming out as, as colorful on the video, but I see the tip of the sun right there coming through. So, uh, and it's quite chilly here this morning. I didn't think it would be as cold as, uh, as I had anticipated. So, so what, what small action can you take today? To not only be in a state of gratitude, but to help, help your vibration, help, you know, help your, um, your thoughts, your feelings. What can you do to up level those? You know, I suggest going for a walk. I suggest journaling if you can. Just write in three things that you're grateful for. You know, write down three things you're grateful for about yourself. Again, we all come here with a purpose and a talent. I 100 percent believe that. And sometimes you got to walk through the weeds, you know, and I think it's walking through those weeds and climbing over those obstacles and facing those challenges that prepare us. to turn around and then lend a helping hand to somebody else. And maybe life is as simple as that. You know, it is so bright. I'm now seeing spots. I think just to close out, I want to tell you in case you haven't heard it today, I love you. And I sincerely love you. I probably haven't met you. But know somebody here over on the East Coast does love you. And I promise, whatever overwhelm you're facing, I promise you'll get through it. Again, just take some small actions. If you're facing a difficult time, just take some small actions. Next week, I'll go into a lot more about the positive thinking and how that can impact your life and some actions around that. But as I always like to remind you, you are enough. You know, don't feel that you're not good enough. Don't feel that somebody else is better than you. Um, we all have our own unique, uniqueness. And you are special just the way you are. And again, know that you have everything inside yourself, everything inside yourself, to get through the challenge that you're facing. You are your own hero. So, I love you guys, and until our next conversation at sunrise, I'll let the sun rise a little bit longer. But I love you.
