SPEAKER_02

I that's what I need to know is what the other ones are that aren't tires. Right. Summer tires. Oh, we're tires.

SPEAKER_06

Summer! As in non-winter tires.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah, so what what are the summer non-winter tires?

SPEAKER_02

Some are non-winter tires. So the other ones are. Yeah. Daphne's choosing number 11 again. Yeah. She's not gonna start with 13 this week. Interesting. Oh my god, thank you. Okay.

SPEAKER_06

I tried to share my happy news.

SPEAKER_02

I know, and we're just we are at hand enhancing it.

SPEAKER_06

No, you're making it so it I can't enhancing your wonderful story and your wonderful news.

SPEAKER_05

I have to ask. Okay. There is a I have a very critical question. Okay. So around the first week of August or so, does that make a midsummer tires?

SPEAKER_03

I think it does. Absolutely. Daphne's gonna be driving around on midsummer tires.

SPEAKER_02

He's gonna be driving Ari faster on them.

SPEAKER_01

Oh my god. I love it. All right, she's picking number 11 still. Oh my god.

SPEAKER_03

You're off that is going somehow. I need you to send me, I need you to send me the zoom recording. That has to be in the episode somewhere. Really?

SPEAKER_01

Stop.

SPEAKER_05

Coming to you live from Alien Fresh Jerky in Baker, California. It's Buffalo Buffalo.

SPEAKER_00

It's Buffalo Buffalo Buffalo Buffalo, yeah.

SPEAKER_05

Welcome one and all to Buffalo Buffalo. My name is Jerry, and yet again, you know, they just keep following me around wherever I go. They're my full horts and the bad panties of my life. Welcome to Jeff, Hake, and Daphne.

SPEAKER_02

Welcome. Welcome to us.

SPEAKER_03

Hello. Welcome. Welcome to Jeff. Get the full Jeff Spirience. I don't even want to know what that would entail. It feels feels invasive.

SPEAKER_02

Well, how's everybody? There is a laparoscopic version, but it's not as fun.

SPEAKER_03

It's not as fun. No. It's not as fun.

SPEAKER_05

But you recover a lot faster.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah.

SPEAKER_05

Having been fully, you know, having had a surgery where they had to go full open, and it's like, I don't want to have that again. Oh, hell no. You never full opened your tooth? Yes.

SPEAKER_03

Okay.

SPEAKER_05

Okay. Well, I I was looking forward to it today because I have You were. Yeah. A nice fun. Not anymore. He was.

SPEAKER_06

Jerry, that's how it is.

SPEAKER_03

And then we started.

SPEAKER_06

Jerry, that's how it is for me most weeks. I look forward to it until I get here and I'm reminded why I'm not looking forward to it.

SPEAKER_05

But you love us so much. We we we're always personable. We're always pleasurable. We always let you speak and we always let you make your points.

SPEAKER_06

You don't let me talk ever. You're constantly. Sorry, Jerry was talking to you.

SPEAKER_02

Steve, Daphne, I I don't mean to interrupt you, but it's funny.

SPEAKER_05

I'm gonna let you finish.

SPEAKER_02

I'm gonna let you finish, but.

SPEAKER_05

Well, uh, I I would yeah, I'm gonna segue, I'm gonna segue into this, but Daphne, what happened in your life? They are hard to steer. Yes, yes. Yeah, the segues are very hard to steer. I'm gonna roller skate into this.

SPEAKER_06

I'm sorry, did you say something to me?

SPEAKER_05

Yeah, I was asking, it's like, what is there anything new in your life that you know it happened in the last week?

SPEAKER_02

Imagine, if you will.

SPEAKER_06

Uh, Jerry, I had to get a new car. My car has been running with duct not duct tape, but it seems like it. It's really not been running very well for the last couple of months. I've continued to drive it, trying to get it to last a little bit longer. And then finally, on my way home last week from trivia, I realized that it was making noises that might mean that it's death is imminent. So last weekend, ow, ow, ow, ow, stop, stop, stop, ow, ow. I put band-aids on all the boo-boos, but it just, you know, when a car becomes all band-aids, you got a problem.

unknown

Yeah.

SPEAKER_02

So is it the car anymore?

SPEAKER_06

Nope.

SPEAKER_03

It's the car of Theseus. Yeah.

SPEAKER_05

Okay, but that leads into our uh our barrage of text funnies from Saturday.

SPEAKER_02

It does.

SPEAKER_06

Imagine, if you will, I am sitting in a car dealership, yeah, just messaging that I'm at the dealership because I had told the three of you that I was going to look at a car.

unknown

Yeah.

SPEAKER_06

So I'm sharing that with them. And what happened after was a barrage of tweets from Peike and Jerry.

SPEAKER_03

Yes. Tweets. We were on Twitter.

SPEAKER_02

We were Twitter.

SPEAKER_06

It might as well have been tweets. Messages.

SPEAKER_03

But we were using Discord.

SPEAKER_02

I mean, it's your fault for using words in a text message.

SPEAKER_03

Because we can do any we can do.

SPEAKER_05

Okay. So should Daphne read her part or should I read Daphne's part as well?

SPEAKER_06

No.

SPEAKER_05

I think Daphne should read your part.

SPEAKER_06

I'm gonna read my own part. Can I be Jeff? No.

SPEAKER_03

I don't know if he really even had anything in the page too much. He had a lot of things. I basically was asleep. Yeah, he had a cameo appearance. Okay. Yeah.

SPEAKER_06

Did you pay him? Because cameos cost money now.

SPEAKER_03

Yes.

SPEAKER_06

Like$25.

SPEAKER_03

Like a brooch.

SPEAKER_06

Yeah, no. Like word cameos or video cameos. Yeah.

SPEAKER_03

Word up cameo.

SPEAKER_05

Yeah, so it should start with the uh the Saturday 9 41 a.m. text.

SPEAKER_03

Because I was awake. Oh, hold on. I have to I have to pull up my script. I know, yeah.

SPEAKER_02

Who what's which role am I playing?

SPEAKER_05

You're playing Pak Ali N. Okay.

SPEAKER_06

Okay. Um it's it's very simple. Where is it? If I can find I can't seem to find it. Um, that's because I went back too fast. Too far. I went back too far. Where is it? Okay.

SPEAKER_03

I will say the what you posted right before at the dealership is one of my favorite puns that you've ever posted.

SPEAKER_05

Yes, that's that's fun.

SPEAKER_06

What?

SPEAKER_03

Uh the two astronauts talking. One says, I can't find any milk for my coffee. The other says, in space no one can. Here use cream. That was good.

SPEAKER_02

Why do I have to go back?

SPEAKER_06

All I said, three words at the dealership. I was excited to be there. You know, getting a new car, it's a stressful thing. Because you have a payment. That's the only thing that stresses me out about a new car is a payment. Like I don't want to have a payment, but uh it's not like I've got a tree farm in the backyard that has money growing on it, so I had to finance it.

SPEAKER_03

What does your tree farm grow?

SPEAKER_06

Nothing. I don't have a tree farm.

SPEAKER_03

Oh, that's the problem.

SPEAKER_06

Yeah. So I just said at the dealership.

SPEAKER_02

Are we doing all our own parts? Yes. Yes, please. Oh, this is great. Welcome to Green Bubble Theater. Man, growing up in Texas, all our dealers were in CD apartments and back alleys. Of course, Maine has them on ships.

SPEAKER_06

Proud of yourself, I'm sure. I love this car.

SPEAKER_05

He is not unproud of himself.

SPEAKER_06

No, Jerry! Jerry.

SPEAKER_05

Yeah, you have to do it.

SPEAKER_06

You forgot you've got to do the emoji part because people really emoji at to a photo.

SPEAKER_05

To a photo. Okay, yes.

SPEAKER_03

No, that no, that was no, that was to the uh that was to the the uh week is all week, it is a message that says laugh cry emoji to a photo. You don't know which one you're referring to. I have no idea what you're referring to.

SPEAKER_05

I don't I don't see it. I don't see laugh cry emoji.

SPEAKER_03

That was to the uh I will read the green bubble disease then. Okay.

SPEAKER_06

Okay, thank you.

SPEAKER_03

That that was to the uh I will read it in a dramatic voice. Okay, thank you. Cry emoji to a photo.

SPEAKER_06

Alright, Jerry, continue.

SPEAKER_05

That was to the um In Space No One Can Hear You Scream one.

SPEAKER_01

Mm-hmm.

SPEAKER_05

Okay, and it and then I said, wouldn't a small state like Maine have a dealer boat instead of an entire ship?

SPEAKER_02

It's like a market thing. All the dealers are on the same ship. They rent spots, one-stop shop for the people.

SPEAKER_05

And when the dealerships come in, this is how they are sold. A dealership shipping ships with a picture of uh a big barge with a bunch of ships on it, reading, This is a ship shipping ship, shipping shipping chips. And I also reply to Daphne at the dealership, which one are you getting? And does it have a sunroof exemption?

SPEAKER_02

Is the sunroof conversation on this podcast or just another text thing? I honestly don't know.

SPEAKER_03

On both at this point. It all bleeds over.

SPEAKER_06

Yeah.

SPEAKER_03

And so like the blurred between our real life. Are we just gonna go back through every text we've said in the past three days? No. No.

SPEAKER_05

Just until until Jeff pops in.

SPEAKER_03

So in 2019, I say.

SPEAKER_06

Uh that was before I knew you, Jeff. Um, then I shared that the showrunner from the testments is uh looking forward to our coverage this season.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, you get a screenshot of his email that says looking forward to your coverage. So I said Bruce Miller's even interested in her car shopping exploits, wishing her the best for insurance on this car. It's very thoughtful.

SPEAKER_06

You're ridiculous, and then it autocorrected to your without the posture. Oh I hate it. With the Green Bubble Disease, it doesn't autocorrect, and then it autocorrects on the wrong things. And then I had to repost it because it's not like you can edit a message what you send it, once you send it because of Green Bubble Disease. You're ridiculous. Why does autocorrect not work with Green Bubble Disease?

SPEAKER_03

Jerry, it's your line.

SPEAKER_05

Line. And I uh my reply is there's an insurance company called the Testaments? Did not know that.

SPEAKER_02

I was gonna say, don't talk about my ridiculous like that.

SPEAKER_03

Technically, there's an insurance company called the Testaments, followed by asterisk, there's an insurance company called the Testaments. Because he can't. It just gives us the whole message again. Okay. Yeah.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah. No editing. Um then yeah, because of the you're ridiculous without the apostrophe re. I was gonna say, don't talk about my ridiculous like that.

SPEAKER_06

You're also entertaining. You should totally start a podcast.

SPEAKER_05

I need an OS reset because I was so laughing so damn hard about the first one, the ridiculous one. And I said, Good idea, Daphne. Would you and Jeff be willing to join us?

SPEAKER_02

We could call it something like New York bison or something. I don't know, I'm just spitballing.

SPEAKER_05

And and I repeat, reply, Good idea, Peike, and I'll skip this next one because it's about today's show.

SPEAKER_03

And I jumped in finally. I woke up at this point. It's um 11 30, so yeah, it's about the time I woke up. Uh this entire conversation is ridiculous, and I'm sorry I missed it.

SPEAKER_05

Which I believe I thumbs up that one. And then um the the sign-off from Bruce Miller was said, best Bruce Miller, and then I reply to Daphne's uh uh picture reading. And he's the best Bruce Miller, not just the one of those run-of-the-mill ones.

SPEAKER_06

And I said it kept me incredibly incredibly entertained while at the car dealership. I read it to Chris. Then I followed it up a little bit later, maybe let's see how much later. Like 45 minutes later, I thought it was.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, things had finally calmed down, and then she see, so you have to take the blame sometimes. You're the one that started.

SPEAKER_06

All I said was it took three hours and I didn't become a volcano, which means I made it through the car purchasing process without getting wound up or upset.

SPEAKER_05

Took three hours to read the text.

SPEAKER_06

And I said, yes, I wanted to do it slowly and dramatically. Because sometimes you just that's what you have to say. I can't give in. I just have to like run with it.

SPEAKER_03

That's a yes and sometimes.

SPEAKER_02

That's you see the thumbs ups you're getting on that one because you played along, and that's the correct way. And to my reply, Nan you see the car?

SPEAKER_06

I said yes, it has a sunroof, heated seats, backup camera, and it has studded winter tires, and it's all-wheel drive. It also came with four summer tires. I didn't even know that was a thing.

SPEAKER_05

And to my reply was, you didn't know tires were a thing.

SPEAKER_02

Some aren't. Two of them are actually just pizza stones.

SPEAKER_06

And I shared a picture and I said, I didn't know that some cars have two sets of tires.

SPEAKER_05

So I I left that the uh second OS reset reset of the day. It's like, and that was it.

SPEAKER_03

Thumbs up to a photo. Heart to a photo.

SPEAKER_06

And that's pretty much it.

SPEAKER_03

That was it, yeah. And then goes on.

SPEAKER_02

Well, for that, and then there's been more stuff this week.

SPEAKER_03

No, we we have talked. Let's continue to read our entire text.

SPEAKER_02

I mean, I was pretty happy with you said heirloom, and I said that's the name of the owner of a German tapestry shop. I thought that was pretty good.

SPEAKER_05

Yeah. But that was when I went to lunch with my brothers.

SPEAKER_06

And they're so excited of about all their little quippy things that they post in the text thread. They're constantly.

SPEAKER_03

German tapestry shop really works better when you see it written because it looks like it the air part looks like hair, as in German. You know. So, yeah. It doesn't work as well uh verbally. Yes.

SPEAKER_02

Also, nobody mentioned or nobody reacted to my incredible Zoom joke. It's just nobody in the right time of that that I'm in. With our like late 90s, early 2000s PBS for kids.

SPEAKER_06

I did know exactly what you meant. And I laughed out loud. Does that make you feel any better?

SPEAKER_02

Okay, good.

SPEAKER_06

I got where you were going because it's mostly a New England thing, I think.

SPEAKER_03

I don't know. Boston were you saying something about Zoom?

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, because there was the whole Oh that I was trying to record on Wilhelm on Riverside and I didn't get that at all. And you were like, you came all the way out to Riverside, California to record a podcast.

SPEAKER_05

Oh, that one, okay.

SPEAKER_02

And I was like, yeah, but then we couldn't get that program to work, so I had to leave and do something else. We ended up going to Zoom, which is like, which we all know is located at 350 Boston Mass. Oh, two one three four. But yeah.

SPEAKER_03

I grew up, well, not even grew up, but like when I was 10, 12 years old, even teenager, it was all about stick sticky. Uh now, stick stickly, of course, would say, you know, write to me, stick stickly, PO Box 563, New York City, New York State 10108. Wow. That's the one that lives with me. Yeah. That's the address along with P. Sherman 42 Wallaby Wade. Will live in my head forever.

SPEAKER_02

And so, yeah, so me as like a born in the early 90s. So then like being in that like young enough kid like frame of like late 90s and early 2000s, I was peak right there with with Zoom on PBS. So that's So Boston Mass. Oh, two, one, three, four. Yeah. That's yeah, well, Peg was.

SPEAKER_06

So Peig was recording an episode of Wilhelm, which is our friend Ben's podcast. And by the time you hear this, it will be several weeks after the Oscars have finished up. But if you're interested in what his thoughts are, you could go back and listen to Wilhelm. Because Ben, Brandy, and Peg talk about a bunch of the categories and what their picks are and what they think is gonna win.

SPEAKER_02

So was I right that you were screaming at your phone when we couldn't remember the name of the T-Rex in Jurassic Park?

SPEAKER_06

I was incredibly disappointed in you, especially you. Because you should know better.

SPEAKER_03

You should know better.

SPEAKER_06

And then Ben mixing up something else. I was sitting here going, he should not be mixing that up. He knows better than this. I don't remember the exact thing it was, but he Brandy corrected him on something.

SPEAKER_03

Ben we're calling you out right now on this podcast.

SPEAKER_06

Brandy corrected him on something, and he he was like, What? What and it and she was right. Um that doesn't happen very often that Ben is wrong. Yeah.

SPEAKER_05

So what is what is the name of the T-Rex in Jurassic Park?

SPEAKER_06

Uh Rexy, aka Roberta. And they Ben remembered Rexy or he looked up Rexy and then they talk talked it out. But yes, I was incredibly disappointed. I'm like, okay, I think we need to have remedial Jurassic Park training.

SPEAKER_02

I mean, I knew Rexy immediately, but I knew there was another name, and that's what we were trying to get.

SPEAKER_03

I didn't know there was another name. I just I've always called her Rexy.

SPEAKER_06

So yeah.

SPEAKER_03

Uh Ben speaking of getting sorry, go ahead.

SPEAKER_06

Ben was unkind to Jurassic World Rebirth. Pake was also unkind to Jurassic World Rebirth.

SPEAKER_01

Mm-hmm.

SPEAKER_06

Even more unkind than he was when we talked about it on Run for your Lives.

SPEAKER_03

I'm like, he was trying to spare your feelings.

SPEAKER_06

I listen, I let him run a muck on that episode and say whatever he wanted.

SPEAKER_03

Because as I licensed to run mucks sometimes.

SPEAKER_06

Uh it's a con it's contract work, so it depends on because at the beginning of that episode, our we saw the movie together, and I basically said, I don't even care. I just want to see dinosaurs. That's all that matters to me.

SPEAKER_03

You are who they make these movies for. Yeah, it's me. And I don't mean that as an insult because that there's plenty of movies. I will go and watch every single Marvel movie, and I don't give a shit howic it is. I don't care that the bad guy has the exact same powers as the good guy, except evil.

SPEAKER_00

You know?

SPEAKER_03

I don't care because I just want to watch Marvel movies. But there is that kind of like I don't care that the plot doesn't make sense. I don't care that none of these characters have actual character arcs or growth or anything like that. I just want to see the dinosaurs.

SPEAKER_06

I mean, really, that's what it came down to. Yeah. I loved seeing the dinosaurs.

SPEAKER_02

I just want roar boom scream. That's what I want. Yep.

SPEAKER_06

I'm down with it, you know?

SPEAKER_05

Roar boom scream. Okay. Roar boom scream.

SPEAKER_06

I don't necessarily think we need more of them. I it's just if they're gonna make one, I'm gonna go see it. Like it's just it's what's gonna happen.

SPEAKER_02

But she said she allowed me to say whatever I wanted to about that movie. Because usually on Run for Your Lives, she hands me a script beforehand and I have to stick to it very strictly.

SPEAKER_03

But it's not about You can hear how scripted it is.

SPEAKER_06

It's not about allowing. It's just that I didn't fight back. Like I he said what he wanted to say, and I didn't like try to correct him or come back at him. I just let him Your opinion is wrong.

SPEAKER_03

I need to correct you.

SPEAKER_06

No, I let him say whatever. I he said whatever he wanted to say.

SPEAKER_05

Um it's scripted like this podcast is.

SPEAKER_06

Oh, yes. I spent hours speaking.

SPEAKER_03

Speaking of messing up, I wanted to apologize for something that I did wrong on my last uh game that nobody here cares or is going to know the difference, and probably, possibly nobody out there is going to either, but it bothered me when I was editing it. Uh in the category of Does Size Matter, I matched up Peter Frampton's Do You Feel Like We Do with uh the song Um Did You Ever Have to Make Up Your Mind? Which I credited to the Love and Spoonful. That song was by the Turtles. Uh the Love and Spoonful song that was in my head as I was saying it was Do You Believe in Magic? And I was very annoyed with myself because I said it like five times, and I'm like, it's not the Love and Spoonful.

SPEAKER_02

So that real diehard Love and Spoonful fan or Turtles fan that's out there listening to this podcast, they might forgive you now that you hopefully.

SPEAKER_03

I hope so. I really hope so.

SPEAKER_05

Of course, it'll be another month before they hear it, but yeah.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah.

SPEAKER_05

Or in this case, three weeks, but yeah.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah.

SPEAKER_05

Alright. Alrighty. Yes. Okay. So who is ready for a nice fun game?

SPEAKER_03

Well, this week's game was rated three Salem gifts. So Yeah.

SPEAKER_02

I don't know if it's going to be nice or fun the way that came across.

SPEAKER_05

No, but we are going to like to play a game.

SPEAKER_02

Yes.

SPEAKER_05

But we are going to go back to the movie theater.

SPEAKER_03

It's Flictionary.

SPEAKER_05

No. Not Flictionary. Darn it. No. Nope. In celebration of some fun movies, we're going to go back to mutated movies. That'll be where I change one letter in each of the words of the movie title.

SPEAKER_03

This is where we got Stab Ward.

SPEAKER_05

Yeah, this is Yeah, this is where we got Stab Ward. I had another game in mind, but it's like I I I was uh I I had ri I had it written down on my tablet, on my on paper, and I just didn't have I didn't think about I was like, I gotta put it in there and just got away from me and say, but I said, oh, it's we're a week away from the Oscars as we record this. And I said, okay, we're gonna do this movie game, and I have I have twenty four left. And I added a couple here because I wanted to make tw uh have twenty-four just in case we wanted to go eight rounds, but I don't think we'll go eight. We'll just go one at a yeah, we'll go one at a time till we get to what was when did we go last time? Six or seven?

SPEAKER_03

Yeah, seven.

SPEAKER_05

No, no, for the last time I did it again, it's like I said we've got left. What did you do?

SPEAKER_03

You made Pake leave. Oh no.

SPEAKER_06

Oh, here he is.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah. Jerry is really sorry about what he said that made me leave. I know.

SPEAKER_06

What happened?

SPEAKER_02

My internet, I got well, first Jerry's audio went out completely, and so he was just going, uh-huh, just motioning in the air to hear what he was saying. And then I was like, what looking at you two? Like, is anybody gonna also not hear Jerry? But then the other of you started talking and I couldn't hear any of you, and then I was like, okay, it's on my end, and then it said, your connection's unstable, and I was like, well, maybe it'll come back, and then it re-kicked me out.

SPEAKER_03

So I was like, or not. It's very unstable.

SPEAKER_06

Okay, but we're gonna someday you'll live in a place where you can have real internet that is more stable.

SPEAKER_02

Ain't that the dream?

SPEAKER_06

It is.

SPEAKER_05

Okay, but we'll go uh one at a time, and we are going to go in the order of Jeff, Hake, and Daphne.

SPEAKER_06

One.

SPEAKER_03

I'm Jeff.

SPEAKER_06

Are you? Are you sure you are?

SPEAKER_03

Hold on, let me check what the bottom of my zoom screen says. Yes. Yeah, it's uh check that. There are changes.

SPEAKER_05

Yeah, so we're gonna.

SPEAKER_06

It does. Have you been working on your character, Jeff?

SPEAKER_03

Not at all.

SPEAKER_06

I wish you would, because I miss I miss KOB. How many, Jerry, do we have so I can keep track?

SPEAKER_05

24. 100. Yeah, 2400. Yeah, we're gonna use a random number generators if you want. And half point steals with your whiteboards.

SPEAKER_03

Okay, one to twenty-four. The whiteboards are only for half-point steals. Correct. Okay.

SPEAKER_06

Okay.

SPEAKER_03

I mean, I'm gonna still use it to write it out so I can see it. Because I need to, yeah.

SPEAKER_06

I have to see it. Visually, I've got to see it.

SPEAKER_03

Okay.

unknown

Okay.

SPEAKER_05

And you remember how to play this one, right?

SPEAKER_03

Uh yes. But in Kate, just pretending I didn't. No, uh, why don't you go ahead and explain it just for anybody who's listening that doesn't remember.

SPEAKER_05

Okay, so in this game, I'm gonna give you um the title of a movie, of which I've changed one letter in each each of the words of the title. For example, kiss kiss bang bang will be clued will be clued as kids miss bong bands.

SPEAKER_02

Mm-hmm. You're welcome.

SPEAKER_05

That that went over well. Okay. So Jeff.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah. We'll take number 19.

SPEAKER_05

Lucky number 19. Daphne's shaking her head and and wincing in pain.

SPEAKER_03

The favorite part of Jerry's games for him is getting to say that every number is lucky. Actually, that comes in second to telling people that they're incorrect.

SPEAKER_06

Or you are aware.

SPEAKER_05

You are aware, yeah. So that's third. Third or fourth.

SPEAKER_02

Okay. It's still got on podium.

SPEAKER_05

Yes, yes. Okay. Your clue is tie lines on otters.

SPEAKER_03

That would be a fantastic movie that I need to watch again. The lives of others. Correct. It's a great movie.

SPEAKER_02

Pake. Number nine.

SPEAKER_05

Lucky number nine. Your clue is she bit sheep.

SPEAKER_02

She bit a sheep.

SPEAKER_05

Yeah.

SPEAKER_02

That'd be the big sleep.

SPEAKER_05

Correct. Yes. See, my fun is like the the I I have a fun time reading through movie titles and trying to like, okay, this is is this possible no? Is this possible no?

SPEAKER_03

Mm-hmm.

SPEAKER_05

Okay.

SPEAKER_03

Well, yeah, it's it's like you could just do any any movie title, almost any movie title, in any words, but it's making it kind of make sense as its own thing.

SPEAKER_05

Yes. Okay. Daphne.

SPEAKER_02

She wants eleven. She's mentioned that.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah, she has mentioned eleven with both hands.

SPEAKER_06

Are you trying to speak for me?

SPEAKER_02

I'm just helping you out. Okay.

SPEAKER_03

Mm-hmm.

SPEAKER_05

Alright.

SPEAKER_02

SPEAKER_06

I'll take number 11, Jerry, since I'm all over that number.

SPEAKER_05

Okay. Alright. Your clue is Blaring Paddles.

SPEAKER_06

Blazing saddles.

SPEAKER_03

Correct. Oh, I love that movie so much.

SPEAKER_02

Blaring Battles? It is a good one.

SPEAKER_03

Black battles, yeah.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah.

SPEAKER_05

Uh tied across the board at one. Uh round two. Jeff.

SPEAKER_03

Number seventeen.

SPEAKER_05

Lucky number seventeen. Your clue is Sigh soon.

SPEAKER_03

Uh that would be uh high noon. Correct. Gary Cooper? Gary Cooper.

SPEAKER_02

Well, now that it's still available. Number 13.

SPEAKER_05

Ooh. Are you sure?

SPEAKER_02

Yes.

SPEAKER_05

Okay.

SPEAKER_03

I obviously left it because I didn't want her to give me that look that she gave you.

SPEAKER_05

Wow. Oh my god. Pake. The look of the randomizing here.

SPEAKER_06

Yeah, it wasn't no. Do not do not mistake this for his randomizer telling him to take it. Let's be clear here.

SPEAKER_05

My randomizing the way where 13 landed. Not picture.

SPEAKER_06

He chose 13 for one reason only. To fuck with me.

SPEAKER_02

Because my RNG told me to.

SPEAKER_06

No, it did not.

SPEAKER_02

And it did.

SPEAKER_06

No.

SPEAKER_02

After he rolled it. After he manipulated it. Nope. One roll.

SPEAKER_06

I don't believe it.

SPEAKER_02

I just didn't change it because I decided that would be a great thing to do.

SPEAKER_06

Okay. You wanted to fuck with me.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, knock you off your game. It's the only chance we got.

SPEAKER_05

Are we ready for Daphne to explode?

Oh my god.

SPEAKER_06

SPEAKER_03

It's been almost 200 episodes, and we finally pushed it to the edge.

SPEAKER_02

We were so close to the big 200. Oh man. I'm sorry, guys.

SPEAKER_03

Jerry. Jerry. Jerry, the next two years we are going to continue to make big 200 jokes.

SPEAKER_01

Oh my god!

SPEAKER_02

Oh my god. It's fine, Daphne. You can take my number that I always pick.

SPEAKER_06

I don't even know what that is.

SPEAKER_02

Oh my god.

SPEAKER_06

It doesn't exist in this.

SPEAKER_02

You can do what I can what I do, and you can use an RNG, I guess.

SPEAKER_06

No, I'm not.

SPEAKER_05

Okay, Daphne.

SPEAKER_06

I don't have a number to pick.

SPEAKER_02

I'll pick for you.

SPEAKER_06

No, you won't.

SPEAKER_03

Well, Pake's good at picking your number.

SPEAKER_02

Great at picking.

SPEAKER_03

He's historically, Pake has been fantastic at random numbers. You realize the only time that like it worked out that he chose a good number is the time that he stole Daphne's number. Oh.

SPEAKER_02

She picked 11. I figured that was her new go-to.

SPEAKER_03

You know better than 11 for the last few months. Yeah, she's been a real big picking eleven a lot.

SPEAKER_06

You know better than that. You did that on purpose.

SPEAKER_05

Pink does not know better than that.

SPEAKER_02

I know I don't.

SPEAKER_06

You did that on purpose?

SPEAKER_02

Well, after the generator told me, No!

SPEAKER_06

No. No. Don't don't blame it on a piece of technology.

SPEAKER_02

Okay.

SPEAKER_06

It was you.

SPEAKER_02

Blame it on the a alcohol.

SPEAKER_03

No, I was gonna say blame it on the rain.

SPEAKER_02

That too. It did rain a lot today, and I went outside and played disc golf in the pouring rain all day today. Nice. That's fun.

SPEAKER_05

Hey, Daphne.

SPEAKER_06

I'll take number seven, Jerry.

SPEAKER_05

SPEAKER_02

I mean, I have a guess, but I don't remember this being a thing that exists unless another thing was a remake of an older thing that I wasn't aware of. But I have a guess.

SPEAKER_06

Okay, Mr. Deeds goes to town.

SPEAKER_03

Correct. Okay, that was my guess, but it was a remake.

SPEAKER_02

Okay. Because I was like, the only Mr. Deeds I know of was the Adam Sandler one.

SPEAKER_06

It is. Yeah.

SPEAKER_03

Um I remember when it was filming for like three years. Yes.

SPEAKER_06

It pretty much, I think, was part of the reason for the demise of uh Yeah, of Kubrick, yeah. And Tom Cruise and Nicole Kidman's marriage, I think.

SPEAKER_03

SPEAKER_05

Okay. Jeff, excuse me. At the end of round six, um, we have Jeff and Pate tied at six with Daphne a squib behind at five five and a half.

SPEAKER_06

What did you say?

SPEAKER_02

He called you a squib. I don't know what that is.

SPEAKER_03

It's a little packet that step blood, you know. Yeah. I'm not sure why that's what she said.

SPEAKER_06

This isn't squid game, okay? Okay.

SPEAKER_03

No, squib game. Squib Game.

SPEAKER_01

SPEAKER_06

Uh 17.

SPEAKER_02

It takes two to make a Daphne lose.

SPEAKER_03

Already done. You're getting the look again.

SPEAKER_06

Yeah, um, I don't think I want you quoting Rob Bass and DJ Easy Rock to me. Thank you very much.

SPEAKER_02

Okay. Super strategic move of pawn takes 13. Shifted her whole game.

SPEAKER_06

Uh number 18, Jerry.

SPEAKER_05

Uh did you say eight?

SPEAKER_06

18.

SPEAKER_05

Oh, eighteen, okay. Lucky number eighteen.

SPEAKER_06

I want a refund on these lucky numbers that I haven't gotten.

SPEAKER_05

Okay, your clue is Sir Pity. Like a knight, Sir Pity. S-I-R-P-I-T-Y. Two words.

SPEAKER_06

Sin City.

SPEAKER_05

Correct. Alrighty. So we have eight. Hi. We have one more round. There are three more.

SPEAKER_03

Oh three more rounds.

SPEAKER_05

Okay, okay. We'll go, we'll go three more three more numbers.

SPEAKER_02

Might as well wrap them up.

SPEAKER_03

Finish them up.

SPEAKER_02

See how we do.

SPEAKER_03

Alright. I have one extra number on here, and I'm not sure which one I didn't erase.

SPEAKER_02

So uh I have eight, twenty-two, and twenty-four left.

SPEAKER_03

Okay, that's what it is. I had fourteen still on here. Yep. Thank you, sir. Um let's go with twenty two. Lucky number twenty two.

SPEAKER_05

Oh. Your clue is night chub.

SPEAKER_02

And is that N I G H T?

SPEAKER_05

Yes.

SPEAKER_03

Whenever you get night chub, get out your dick soap. Oh my god. The first rule of night chub is you do not talk about night chub. Talk about night chub. Oh my god. I am Jack's nocturnal emission.

SPEAKER_06

Oh my god. And now we have time for a short break.

SPEAKER_01

While Jerry rewrites his brain.

SPEAKER_03

Okay, I'm back. Fight club. I just wanted to make sure I said it. Yes.

SPEAKER_05

Wait, eight or twenty-four?

SPEAKER_02

Eight.

unknown

Eight.

SPEAKER_05

Lucky number eight. Your clue is shakes or I plank.

SPEAKER_06

Come on, you know it.

SPEAKER_03

I'm just getting it written out. Okay. Okay. Took me a minute.

SPEAKER_02

Uh snakes on a plane.

SPEAKER_05

Correct. We're gonna have to go to a tiebreaker. Alrighty. Daphne, number 24.

SPEAKER_03

Let her choose.

SPEAKER_05

Let her choose. Oh, yeah. That's right. We gotta let her choose. She doesn't want you picking a number for her.

SPEAKER_06

Yes, that's it. Whatever. Whatever the fuck you want. Let's go.

SPEAKER_03

Jerry's backing away slowly.

SPEAKER_05

You're lucky number 24 to finish out the game. Your clue is cystic liver.

SPEAKER_06

Mystic river.

SPEAKER_05

Correct.

SPEAKER_02

That's funny. Uh oh my gosh.

SPEAKER_06

Well, I think in some cases, Jerry made up words that were not actually real.

SPEAKER_02

Looking back on it. Tunny is a word? Tunny. Stogie in Stogie is spelled with an I.E. Yeah.

SPEAKER_05

Yeah. Okay. Give me one moment here to find my tiebreaker. I wasn't counting on a tiebreaker.

SPEAKER_03

Uh, you should have been. We're smart.

unknown

Let's see where's my tiebreakers.

SPEAKER_02

Where do I put them? My damn tiebreakers. Are they in the drawer next to your switch?

SPEAKER_03

Yes. I don't understand why you'd want to break your ties. You know? That one didn't land.

SPEAKER_02

Uh I was just trying to think think of something else. I'm like, I mean, how do you break a tie you cut the with a pair of scissors? That's that's more of a tie-cutter than a breaker.

SPEAKER_03

Tie clipper, yeah. Um just uh they can't all be gold.

unknown

Yeah.

SPEAKER_02

That's you know, sometimes you the part of fishing, you're not gonna catch something every time, but you've got to cast anyway.

SPEAKER_03

Well, and this was, you know, one of the things that I I I know I've said it before, and I think Pake probably has too, back when we first started this podcast, is it's quantity over quality.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah.

SPEAKER_03

You know, just keep throwing the puns out there. Eventually something's gonna hit.

unknown

Okay.

SPEAKER_03

When you least expect it, you're gonna have a nocturnal emission.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah. I guess.

SPEAKER_05

Okay, let's see. Here it is. Okay, it'll be in the form of a fun question, but there you will have to use your whiteboards because it you're gonna give me a number.

SPEAKER_03

You are aware.

SPEAKER_05

Yes. Uh taken, Jeff, for the tiebreaker. You are aware that the planet Neptune exists.

SPEAKER_03

Heard of it? Um.

SPEAKER_05

Okay. And on Neptune, it's like Neptune has the fastest wind speeds, measured wind speeds of our entire solar system. What I what is the fa what is the highest measure wind speeds?

SPEAKER_03

I'm gonna apologize. I'm gonna apologize in advance for the joke about the wind speeds coming from Uranus.

SPEAKER_05

No, that's why I didn't choose that's why I chose Neptune.

unknown

Yeah.

SPEAKER_03

I couldn't, it was right there, and I couldn't.

SPEAKER_05

Yes, that's why I didn't choose it.

SPEAKER_03

Please continue. Yeah. Okay.

SPEAKER_05

So the the yeah, so it has has the strongest sustained winds of any planet in our solar system. So whoever's closest to it, what is the highest highest wind speed in miles per hour?

SPEAKER_03

Wow. Now, this makes no difference to my answer whatsoever, but are these wind gusts or is this sustained speed? Strongest sustained winds. Okay. Like I said, it makes no difference to my it's not like I had the answer for gusts, you know. Okay. Doing this in freedom units. I can't even think of how fast a hurricane goes. To like for, you know, for um comparison.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, yeah, I this is just throwing something out there. He's feeling real good about the movie titles, and then it's like, let's throw random science facts at you with numbers.

SPEAKER_03

That'll take the wind out of the sails. Okay. Alright, this is what we're going with, with absolutely no reasoning behind it. Nah, okay. Okay. I have no definitely more than two miles per hour. Yeah. Okay. So, Pike, what's your answer?

SPEAKER_02

I'm way shot under with 301.

SPEAKER_05

Oh, yeah, you're way off pig. The highest of sustained wind speed measured on Neptune is 1300 miles per hour. So that gives Jeff with a difference of the.

SPEAKER_02

Oh, I forgot the one in front of mine.

SPEAKER_06

You know what that's interesting?

SPEAKER_03

301.

SPEAKER_06

Jerry, what's really interesting about the way you play this game is that you don't do Price's right rules. If Rob and Joe were here, they would encourage you to do that. Well the closest without going over is usually customary with tiebreakers.

SPEAKER_03

I've never done I've always done my trivia is always done closest.

SPEAKER_06

Yeah, but your trivia isn't Rob and Joe's trivia. And that trivia is truly special.

SPEAKER_02

Well, this because it's it's it's robbed from somewhere else. Yeah. Rob and Joe, take it.

SPEAKER_06

You've met them now.

SPEAKER_03

Yes. And there's two of them.

unknown

Yeah.

SPEAKER_03

Which is wild.

SPEAKER_06

Yeah.

SPEAKER_03

Rob and Joe and another guy named Rob. Which is kind of a coincidence when you think about it. Yes. You know, the guy's nickname is Rob and Joe, and he teams up with a guy named Rob. What are the odds of that?

SPEAKER_06

That's crazy. They were incredibly tame being on this podcast because Joe really pushes Rob right to the edge sometimes. And I can relate.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah. Okay. So Joe pushes you to the edge too?

SPEAKER_06

No, you do.

SPEAKER_03

Well. Just you, Jeff.

SPEAKER_02

Just Jeff.

SPEAKER_06

No. The Allen boys push Daphne to the edge.

SPEAKER_02

And then Jerry just kicks her over like a Spartan.

unknown

Yep.

SPEAKER_05

And we say is Buffalo. But I have to do it like a mule kick, just yeah. Alright, but Jeff, congratulations on your win.

SPEAKER_03

Thank you so much. Squeak it out. So happy.

SPEAKER_05

With a nine to eight to seven and a half. So good plan. All right. And we have one bit of feedback. Oddly enough, it's from my brother Tim.

SPEAKER_06

Oh boy.

SPEAKER_05

Yeah.

SPEAKER_06

Has Tim ever sent in feedback before?

SPEAKER_05

Uh he has not.

SPEAKER_06

Wow. Welcome, Tim. So now you've got. I wondered where we got that additional listener. And it must be your brother.

SPEAKER_05

No, my nephew listens as well.

SPEAKER_06

I know, but recently.

SPEAKER_02

So it's at least three people that listen to this. Yes.

SPEAKER_05

That's cool. That's good. We tripled our listenership inside of a couple of years, so it's good. All right. But he writes on episode uh 71, Bask in the Bisque. He says, Good win.

SPEAKER_02

We're going way back.

SPEAKER_05

Yeah, we're going way back. Yeah, we're almost at episode 200.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah.

SPEAKER_05

It reads, Good win for Daphne, even though I am on Team Jerry. He's kind of biased.

SPEAKER_03

I don't understand that. I don't understand that at all.

SPEAKER_06

Well, you know.

unknown

Yeah. Yeah.

SPEAKER_03

But thank you for to play my game. Jerry, that was a lot of fun.

SPEAKER_06

And you've given me an idea for a game for the future.

SPEAKER_03

Ooh. Nice.

SPEAKER_06

You may or may not like it.

SPEAKER_03

Wind speeds on other planets. Yeah. It's all about wind speed.

SPEAKER_05

Yeah, if it turns out if it turns out bad, we can say this game blows.

SPEAKER_06

Yeah, thank you for that, Sherry. Thank you so much.

unknown

Okay.
