I that's what I need to know is what the other ones are that aren't tires. Right. Summer tires. Oh, we're tires.
SPEAKER_06Summer! As in non-winter tires.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, so what what are the summer non-winter tires?
SPEAKER_02Some are non-winter tires. So the other ones are. Yeah. Daphne's choosing number 11 again. Yeah. She's not gonna start with 13 this week. Interesting. Oh my god, thank you. Okay.
SPEAKER_06I tried to share my happy news.
SPEAKER_02I know, and we're just we are at hand enhancing it.
SPEAKER_06No, you're making it so it I can't enhancing your wonderful story and your wonderful news.
SPEAKER_05I have to ask. Okay. There is a I have a very critical question. Okay. So around the first week of August or so, does that make a midsummer tires?
SPEAKER_03I think it does. Absolutely. Daphne's gonna be driving around on midsummer tires.
SPEAKER_02He's gonna be driving Ari faster on them.
SPEAKER_01Oh my god. I love it. All right, she's picking number 11 still. Oh my god.
SPEAKER_03You're off that is going somehow. I need you to send me, I need you to send me the zoom recording. That has to be in the episode somewhere. Really?
SPEAKER_01Stop.
SPEAKER_05Coming to you live from Alien Fresh Jerky in Baker, California. It's Buffalo Buffalo.
SPEAKER_00It's Buffalo Buffalo Buffalo Buffalo, yeah.
SPEAKER_05Welcome one and all to Buffalo Buffalo. My name is Jerry, and yet again, you know, they just keep following me around wherever I go. They're my full horts and the bad panties of my life. Welcome to Jeff, Hake, and Daphne.
SPEAKER_02Welcome. Welcome to us.
SPEAKER_03Hello. Welcome. Welcome to Jeff. Get the full Jeff Spirience. I don't even want to know what that would entail. It feels feels invasive.
SPEAKER_02Well, how's everybody? There is a laparoscopic version, but it's not as fun.
SPEAKER_03It's not as fun. No. It's not as fun.
SPEAKER_05But you recover a lot faster.
SPEAKER_02Yeah.
SPEAKER_05Having been fully, you know, having had a surgery where they had to go full open, and it's like, I don't want to have that again. Oh, hell no. You never full opened your tooth? Yes.
SPEAKER_03Okay.
SPEAKER_05Okay. Well, I I was looking forward to it today because I have You were. Yeah. A nice fun. Not anymore. He was.
SPEAKER_06Jerry, that's how it is.
SPEAKER_03And then we started.
SPEAKER_06Jerry, that's how it is for me most weeks. I look forward to it until I get here and I'm reminded why I'm not looking forward to it.
SPEAKER_05But you love us so much. We we we're always personable. We're always pleasurable. We always let you speak and we always let you make your points.
SPEAKER_06You don't let me talk ever. You're constantly. Sorry, Jerry was talking to you.
SPEAKER_02Steve, Daphne, I I don't mean to interrupt you, but it's funny.
SPEAKER_05I'm gonna let you finish.
SPEAKER_02I'm gonna let you finish, but.
SPEAKER_05Well, uh, I I would yeah, I'm gonna segue, I'm gonna segue into this, but Daphne, what happened in your life? They are hard to steer. Yes, yes. Yeah, the segues are very hard to steer. I'm gonna roller skate into this.
SPEAKER_06I'm sorry, did you say something to me?
SPEAKER_05Yeah, I was asking, it's like, what is there anything new in your life that you know it happened in the last week?
SPEAKER_02Imagine, if you will.
SPEAKER_06Uh, Jerry, I had to get a new car. My car has been running with duct not duct tape, but it seems like it. It's really not been running very well for the last couple of months. I've continued to drive it, trying to get it to last a little bit longer. And then finally, on my way home last week from trivia, I realized that it was making noises that might mean that it's death is imminent. So last weekend, ow, ow, ow, ow, stop, stop, stop, ow, ow. I put band-aids on all the boo-boos, but it just, you know, when a car becomes all band-aids, you got a problem.
unknownYeah.
SPEAKER_02So is it the car anymore?
SPEAKER_06Nope.
SPEAKER_03It's the car of Theseus. Yeah.
SPEAKER_05Okay, but that leads into our uh our barrage of text funnies from Saturday.
SPEAKER_02It does.
SPEAKER_06Imagine, if you will, I am sitting in a car dealership, yeah, just messaging that I'm at the dealership because I had told the three of you that I was going to look at a car.
unknownYeah.
SPEAKER_06So I'm sharing that with them. And what happened after was a barrage of tweets from Peike and Jerry.
SPEAKER_03Yes. Tweets. We were on Twitter.
SPEAKER_02We were Twitter.
SPEAKER_06It might as well have been tweets. Messages.
SPEAKER_03But we were using Discord.
SPEAKER_02I mean, it's your fault for using words in a text message.
SPEAKER_03Because we can do any we can do.
SPEAKER_05Okay. So should Daphne read her part or should I read Daphne's part as well?
SPEAKER_06No.
SPEAKER_05I think Daphne should read your part.
SPEAKER_06I'm gonna read my own part. Can I be Jeff? No.
SPEAKER_03I don't know if he really even had anything in the page too much. He had a lot of things. I basically was asleep. Yeah, he had a cameo appearance. Okay. Yeah.
SPEAKER_06Did you pay him? Because cameos cost money now.
SPEAKER_03Yes.
SPEAKER_06Like$25.
SPEAKER_03Like a brooch.
SPEAKER_06Yeah, no. Like word cameos or video cameos. Yeah.
SPEAKER_03Word up cameo.
SPEAKER_05Yeah, so it should start with the uh the Saturday 9 41 a.m. text.
SPEAKER_03Because I was awake. Oh, hold on. I have to I have to pull up my script. I know, yeah.
SPEAKER_02Who what's which role am I playing?
SPEAKER_05You're playing Pak Ali N. Okay.
SPEAKER_06Okay. Um it's it's very simple. Where is it? If I can find I can't seem to find it. Um, that's because I went back too fast. Too far. I went back too far. Where is it? Okay.
SPEAKER_03I will say the what you posted right before at the dealership is one of my favorite puns that you've ever posted.
SPEAKER_05Yes, that's that's fun.
SPEAKER_06What?
SPEAKER_03Uh the two astronauts talking. One says, I can't find any milk for my coffee. The other says, in space no one can. Here use cream. That was good.
SPEAKER_02Why do I have to go back?
SPEAKER_06All I said, three words at the dealership. I was excited to be there. You know, getting a new car, it's a stressful thing. Because you have a payment. That's the only thing that stresses me out about a new car is a payment. Like I don't want to have a payment, but uh it's not like I've got a tree farm in the backyard that has money growing on it, so I had to finance it.
SPEAKER_03What does your tree farm grow?
SPEAKER_06Nothing. I don't have a tree farm.
SPEAKER_03Oh, that's the problem.
SPEAKER_06Yeah. So I just said at the dealership.
SPEAKER_02Are we doing all our own parts? Yes. Yes, please. Oh, this is great. Welcome to Green Bubble Theater. Man, growing up in Texas, all our dealers were in CD apartments and back alleys. Of course, Maine has them on ships.
SPEAKER_06Proud of yourself, I'm sure. I love this car.
SPEAKER_05He is not unproud of himself.
SPEAKER_06No, Jerry! Jerry.
SPEAKER_05Yeah, you have to do it.
SPEAKER_06You forgot you've got to do the emoji part because people really emoji at to a photo.
SPEAKER_05To a photo. Okay, yes.
SPEAKER_03No, that no, that was no, that was to the uh that was to the the uh week is all week, it is a message that says laugh cry emoji to a photo. You don't know which one you're referring to. I have no idea what you're referring to.
SPEAKER_05I don't I don't see it. I don't see laugh cry emoji.
SPEAKER_03That was to the uh I will read the green bubble disease then. Okay.
SPEAKER_06Okay, thank you.
SPEAKER_03That that was to the uh I will read it in a dramatic voice. Okay, thank you. Cry emoji to a photo.
SPEAKER_06Alright, Jerry, continue.
SPEAKER_05That was to the um In Space No One Can Hear You Scream one.
SPEAKER_01Mm-hmm.
SPEAKER_05Okay, and it and then I said, wouldn't a small state like Maine have a dealer boat instead of an entire ship?
SPEAKER_02It's like a market thing. All the dealers are on the same ship. They rent spots, one-stop shop for the people.
SPEAKER_05And when the dealerships come in, this is how they are sold. A dealership shipping ships with a picture of uh a big barge with a bunch of ships on it, reading, This is a ship shipping ship, shipping shipping chips. And I also reply to Daphne at the dealership, which one are you getting? And does it have a sunroof exemption?
SPEAKER_02Is the sunroof conversation on this podcast or just another text thing? I honestly don't know.
SPEAKER_03On both at this point. It all bleeds over.
SPEAKER_06Yeah.
SPEAKER_03And so like the blurred between our real life. Are we just gonna go back through every text we've said in the past three days? No. No.
SPEAKER_05Just until until Jeff pops in.
SPEAKER_03So in 2019, I say.
SPEAKER_06Uh that was before I knew you, Jeff. Um, then I shared that the showrunner from the testments is uh looking forward to our coverage this season.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, you get a screenshot of his email that says looking forward to your coverage. So I said Bruce Miller's even interested in her car shopping exploits, wishing her the best for insurance on this car. It's very thoughtful.
SPEAKER_06You're ridiculous, and then it autocorrected to your without the posture. Oh I hate it. With the Green Bubble Disease, it doesn't autocorrect, and then it autocorrects on the wrong things. And then I had to repost it because it's not like you can edit a message what you send it, once you send it because of Green Bubble Disease. You're ridiculous. Why does autocorrect not work with Green Bubble Disease?
SPEAKER_03Jerry, it's your line.
SPEAKER_05Line. And I uh my reply is there's an insurance company called the Testaments? Did not know that.
SPEAKER_02I was gonna say, don't talk about my ridiculous like that.
SPEAKER_03Technically, there's an insurance company called the Testaments, followed by asterisk, there's an insurance company called the Testaments. Because he can't. It just gives us the whole message again. Okay. Yeah.
SPEAKER_02Yeah. No editing. Um then yeah, because of the you're ridiculous without the apostrophe re. I was gonna say, don't talk about my ridiculous like that.
SPEAKER_06You're also entertaining. You should totally start a podcast.
SPEAKER_05I need an OS reset because I was so laughing so damn hard about the first one, the ridiculous one. And I said, Good idea, Daphne. Would you and Jeff be willing to join us?
SPEAKER_02We could call it something like New York bison or something. I don't know, I'm just spitballing.
SPEAKER_05And and I repeat, reply, Good idea, Peike, and I'll skip this next one because it's about today's show.
SPEAKER_03And I jumped in finally. I woke up at this point. It's um 11 30, so yeah, it's about the time I woke up. Uh this entire conversation is ridiculous, and I'm sorry I missed it.
SPEAKER_05Which I believe I thumbs up that one. And then um the the sign-off from Bruce Miller was said, best Bruce Miller, and then I reply to Daphne's uh uh picture reading. And he's the best Bruce Miller, not just the one of those run-of-the-mill ones.
SPEAKER_06And I said it kept me incredibly incredibly entertained while at the car dealership. I read it to Chris. Then I followed it up a little bit later, maybe let's see how much later. Like 45 minutes later, I thought it was.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, things had finally calmed down, and then she see, so you have to take the blame sometimes. You're the one that started.
SPEAKER_06All I said was it took three hours and I didn't become a volcano, which means I made it through the car purchasing process without getting wound up or upset.
SPEAKER_05Took three hours to read the text.
SPEAKER_06And I said, yes, I wanted to do it slowly and dramatically. Because sometimes you just that's what you have to say. I can't give in. I just have to like run with it.
SPEAKER_03That's a yes and sometimes.
SPEAKER_02That's you see the thumbs ups you're getting on that one because you played along, and that's the correct way. And to my reply, Nan you see the car?
SPEAKER_06I said yes, it has a sunroof, heated seats, backup camera, and it has studded winter tires, and it's all-wheel drive. It also came with four summer tires. I didn't even know that was a thing.
SPEAKER_05And to my reply was, you didn't know tires were a thing.
SPEAKER_02Some aren't. Two of them are actually just pizza stones.
SPEAKER_06And I shared a picture and I said, I didn't know that some cars have two sets of tires.
SPEAKER_05So I I left that the uh second OS reset reset of the day. It's like, and that was it.
SPEAKER_03Thumbs up to a photo. Heart to a photo.
SPEAKER_06And that's pretty much it.
SPEAKER_03That was it, yeah. And then goes on.
SPEAKER_02Well, for that, and then there's been more stuff this week.
SPEAKER_03No, we we have talked. Let's continue to read our entire text.
SPEAKER_02I mean, I was pretty happy with you said heirloom, and I said that's the name of the owner of a German tapestry shop. I thought that was pretty good.
SPEAKER_05Yeah. But that was when I went to lunch with my brothers.
SPEAKER_06And they're so excited of about all their little quippy things that they post in the text thread. They're constantly.
SPEAKER_03German tapestry shop really works better when you see it written because it looks like it the air part looks like hair, as in German. You know. So, yeah. It doesn't work as well uh verbally. Yes.
SPEAKER_02Also, nobody mentioned or nobody reacted to my incredible Zoom joke. It's just nobody in the right time of that that I'm in. With our like late 90s, early 2000s PBS for kids.
SPEAKER_06I did know exactly what you meant. And I laughed out loud. Does that make you feel any better?
SPEAKER_02Okay, good.
SPEAKER_06I got where you were going because it's mostly a New England thing, I think.
SPEAKER_03I don't know. Boston were you saying something about Zoom?
SPEAKER_02Yeah, because there was the whole Oh that I was trying to record on Wilhelm on Riverside and I didn't get that at all. And you were like, you came all the way out to Riverside, California to record a podcast.
SPEAKER_05Oh, that one, okay.
SPEAKER_02And I was like, yeah, but then we couldn't get that program to work, so I had to leave and do something else. We ended up going to Zoom, which is like, which we all know is located at 350 Boston Mass. Oh, two one three four. But yeah.
SPEAKER_03I grew up, well, not even grew up, but like when I was 10, 12 years old, even teenager, it was all about stick sticky. Uh now, stick stickly, of course, would say, you know, write to me, stick stickly, PO Box 563, New York City, New York State 10108. Wow. That's the one that lives with me. Yeah. That's the address along with P. Sherman 42 Wallaby Wade. Will live in my head forever.
SPEAKER_02And so, yeah, so me as like a born in the early 90s. So then like being in that like young enough kid like frame of like late 90s and early 2000s, I was peak right there with with Zoom on PBS. So that's So Boston Mass. Oh, two, one, three, four. Yeah. That's yeah, well, Peg was.
SPEAKER_06So Peig was recording an episode of Wilhelm, which is our friend Ben's podcast. And by the time you hear this, it will be several weeks after the Oscars have finished up. But if you're interested in what his thoughts are, you could go back and listen to Wilhelm. Because Ben, Brandy, and Peg talk about a bunch of the categories and what their picks are and what they think is gonna win.
SPEAKER_02So was I right that you were screaming at your phone when we couldn't remember the name of the T-Rex in Jurassic Park?
SPEAKER_06I was incredibly disappointed in you, especially you. Because you should know better.
SPEAKER_03You should know better.
SPEAKER_06And then Ben mixing up something else. I was sitting here going, he should not be mixing that up. He knows better than this. I don't remember the exact thing it was, but he Brandy corrected him on something.
SPEAKER_03Ben we're calling you out right now on this podcast.
SPEAKER_06Brandy corrected him on something, and he he was like, What? What and it and she was right. Um that doesn't happen very often that Ben is wrong. Yeah.
SPEAKER_05So what is what is the name of the T-Rex in Jurassic Park?
SPEAKER_06Uh Rexy, aka Roberta. And they Ben remembered Rexy or he looked up Rexy and then they talk talked it out. But yes, I was incredibly disappointed. I'm like, okay, I think we need to have remedial Jurassic Park training.
SPEAKER_02I mean, I knew Rexy immediately, but I knew there was another name, and that's what we were trying to get.
SPEAKER_03I didn't know there was another name. I just I've always called her Rexy.
SPEAKER_06So yeah.
SPEAKER_03Uh Ben speaking of getting sorry, go ahead.
SPEAKER_06Ben was unkind to Jurassic World Rebirth. Pake was also unkind to Jurassic World Rebirth.
SPEAKER_01Mm-hmm.
SPEAKER_06Even more unkind than he was when we talked about it on Run for your Lives.
SPEAKER_03I'm like, he was trying to spare your feelings.
SPEAKER_06I listen, I let him run a muck on that episode and say whatever he wanted.
SPEAKER_03Because as I licensed to run mucks sometimes.
SPEAKER_06Uh it's a con it's contract work, so it depends on because at the beginning of that episode, our we saw the movie together, and I basically said, I don't even care. I just want to see dinosaurs. That's all that matters to me.
SPEAKER_03You are who they make these movies for. Yeah, it's me. And I don't mean that as an insult because that there's plenty of movies. I will go and watch every single Marvel movie, and I don't give a shit howic it is. I don't care that the bad guy has the exact same powers as the good guy, except evil.
SPEAKER_00You know?
SPEAKER_03I don't care because I just want to watch Marvel movies. But there is that kind of like I don't care that the plot doesn't make sense. I don't care that none of these characters have actual character arcs or growth or anything like that. I just want to see the dinosaurs.
SPEAKER_06I mean, really, that's what it came down to. Yeah. I loved seeing the dinosaurs.
SPEAKER_02I just want roar boom scream. That's what I want. Yep.
SPEAKER_06I'm down with it, you know?
SPEAKER_05Roar boom scream. Okay. Roar boom scream.
SPEAKER_06I don't necessarily think we need more of them. I it's just if they're gonna make one, I'm gonna go see it. Like it's just it's what's gonna happen.
SPEAKER_02But she said she allowed me to say whatever I wanted to about that movie. Because usually on Run for Your Lives, she hands me a script beforehand and I have to stick to it very strictly.
SPEAKER_03But it's not about You can hear how scripted it is.
SPEAKER_06It's not about allowing. It's just that I didn't fight back. Like I he said what he wanted to say, and I didn't like try to correct him or come back at him. I just let him Your opinion is wrong.
SPEAKER_03I need to correct you.
SPEAKER_06No, I let him say whatever. I he said whatever he wanted to say.
SPEAKER_05Um it's scripted like this podcast is.
SPEAKER_06Oh, yes. I spent hours speaking.
SPEAKER_03Speaking of messing up, I wanted to apologize for something that I did wrong on my last uh game that nobody here cares or is going to know the difference, and probably, possibly nobody out there is going to either, but it bothered me when I was editing it. Uh in the category of Does Size Matter, I matched up Peter Frampton's Do You Feel Like We Do with uh the song Um Did You Ever Have to Make Up Your Mind? Which I credited to the Love and Spoonful. That song was by the Turtles. Uh the Love and Spoonful song that was in my head as I was saying it was Do You Believe in Magic? And I was very annoyed with myself because I said it like five times, and I'm like, it's not the Love and Spoonful.
SPEAKER_02So that real diehard Love and Spoonful fan or Turtles fan that's out there listening to this podcast, they might forgive you now that you hopefully.
SPEAKER_03I hope so. I really hope so.
SPEAKER_05Of course, it'll be another month before they hear it, but yeah.
SPEAKER_03Yeah.
SPEAKER_05Or in this case, three weeks, but yeah.
SPEAKER_03Yeah.
SPEAKER_05Alright. Alrighty. Yes. Okay. So who is ready for a nice fun game?
SPEAKER_03Well, this week's game was rated three Salem gifts. So Yeah.
SPEAKER_02I don't know if it's going to be nice or fun the way that came across.
SPEAKER_05No, but we are going to like to play a game.
SPEAKER_02Yes.
SPEAKER_05But we are going to go back to the movie theater.
SPEAKER_03It's Flictionary.
SPEAKER_05No. Not Flictionary. Darn it. No. Nope. In celebration of some fun movies, we're going to go back to mutated movies. That'll be where I change one letter in each of the words of the movie title.
SPEAKER_03This is where we got Stab Ward.
SPEAKER_05Yeah, this is Yeah, this is where we got Stab Ward. I had another game in mind, but it's like I I I was uh I I had ri I had it written down on my tablet, on my on paper, and I just didn't have I didn't think about I was like, I gotta put it in there and just got away from me and say, but I said, oh, it's we're a week away from the Oscars as we record this. And I said, okay, we're gonna do this movie game, and I have I have twenty four left. And I added a couple here because I wanted to make tw uh have twenty-four just in case we wanted to go eight rounds, but I don't think we'll go eight. We'll just go one at a yeah, we'll go one at a time till we get to what was when did we go last time? Six or seven?
SPEAKER_03Yeah, seven.
SPEAKER_05No, no, for the last time I did it again, it's like I said we've got left. What did you do?
SPEAKER_03You made Pake leave. Oh no.
SPEAKER_06Oh, here he is.
SPEAKER_03Yeah. Jerry is really sorry about what he said that made me leave. I know.
SPEAKER_06What happened?
SPEAKER_02My internet, I got well, first Jerry's audio went out completely, and so he was just going, uh-huh, just motioning in the air to hear what he was saying. And then I was like, what looking at you two? Like, is anybody gonna also not hear Jerry? But then the other of you started talking and I couldn't hear any of you, and then I was like, okay, it's on my end, and then it said, your connection's unstable, and I was like, well, maybe it'll come back, and then it re-kicked me out.
SPEAKER_03So I was like, or not. It's very unstable.
SPEAKER_06Okay, but we're gonna someday you'll live in a place where you can have real internet that is more stable.
SPEAKER_02Ain't that the dream?
SPEAKER_06It is.
SPEAKER_05Okay, but we'll go uh one at a time, and we are going to go in the order of Jeff, Hake, and Daphne.
SPEAKER_06One.
SPEAKER_03I'm Jeff.
SPEAKER_06Are you? Are you sure you are?
SPEAKER_03Hold on, let me check what the bottom of my zoom screen says. Yes. Yeah, it's uh check that. There are changes.
SPEAKER_05Yeah, so we're gonna.
SPEAKER_06It does. Have you been working on your character, Jeff?
SPEAKER_03Not at all.
SPEAKER_06I wish you would, because I miss I miss KOB. How many, Jerry, do we have so I can keep track?
SPEAKER_0524. 100. Yeah, 2400. Yeah, we're gonna use a random number generators if you want. And half point steals with your whiteboards.
SPEAKER_03Okay, one to twenty-four. The whiteboards are only for half-point steals. Correct. Okay.
SPEAKER_06Okay.
SPEAKER_03I mean, I'm gonna still use it to write it out so I can see it. Because I need to, yeah.
SPEAKER_06I have to see it. Visually, I've got to see it.
SPEAKER_03Okay.
unknownOkay.
SPEAKER_05And you remember how to play this one, right?
SPEAKER_03Uh yes. But in Kate, just pretending I didn't. No, uh, why don't you go ahead and explain it just for anybody who's listening that doesn't remember.
SPEAKER_05Okay, so in this game, I'm gonna give you um the title of a movie, of which I've changed one letter in each each of the words of the title. For example, kiss kiss bang bang will be clued will be clued as kids miss bong bands.
SPEAKER_02Mm-hmm. You're welcome.
SPEAKER_05That that went over well. Okay. So Jeff.
SPEAKER_03Yeah. We'll take number 19.
SPEAKER_05Lucky number 19. Daphne's shaking her head and and wincing in pain.
SPEAKER_03The favorite part of Jerry's games for him is getting to say that every number is lucky. Actually, that comes in second to telling people that they're incorrect.
SPEAKER_06Or you are aware.
SPEAKER_05You are aware, yeah. So that's third. Third or fourth.
SPEAKER_02Okay. It's still got on podium.
SPEAKER_05Yes, yes. Okay. Your clue is tie lines on otters.
SPEAKER_03That would be a fantastic movie that I need to watch again. The lives of others. Correct. It's a great movie.
SPEAKER_02Pake. Number nine.
SPEAKER_05Lucky number nine. Your clue is she bit sheep.
SPEAKER_02She bit a sheep.
SPEAKER_05Yeah.
SPEAKER_02That'd be the big sleep.
SPEAKER_05Correct. Yes. See, my fun is like the the I I have a fun time reading through movie titles and trying to like, okay, this is is this possible no? Is this possible no?
SPEAKER_03Mm-hmm.
SPEAKER_05Okay.
SPEAKER_03Well, yeah, it's it's like you could just do any any movie title, almost any movie title, in any words, but it's making it kind of make sense as its own thing.
SPEAKER_05Yes. Okay. Daphne.
SPEAKER_02She wants eleven. She's mentioned that.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, she has mentioned eleven with both hands.
SPEAKER_06Are you trying to speak for me?
SPEAKER_02I'm just helping you out. Okay.
SPEAKER_03Mm-hmm.
SPEAKER_05Alright.
SPEAKER_02Daphne.
SPEAKER_06I'll take number 11, Jerry, since I'm all over that number.
SPEAKER_05Okay. Alright. Your clue is Blaring Paddles.
SPEAKER_06Blazing saddles.
SPEAKER_03Correct. Oh, I love that movie so much.
SPEAKER_02Blaring Battles? It is a good one.
SPEAKER_03Black battles, yeah.
SPEAKER_02Yeah.
SPEAKER_05Uh tied across the board at one. Uh round two. Jeff.
SPEAKER_03Number seventeen.
SPEAKER_05Lucky number seventeen. Your clue is Sigh soon.
SPEAKER_03Uh that would be uh high noon. Correct. Gary Cooper? Gary Cooper.
SPEAKER_01Super duper. Yeah.
SPEAKER_03And um my God. Every time I I listen to uh putting on the writs, you know. Yeah, I absolutely do Peter Boyle. Yeah.
SPEAKER_05I I I that's so in in burned in my brain, I cannot do that. Okay.
SPEAKER_02Well, now that it's still available. Number 13.
SPEAKER_05Ooh. Are you sure?
SPEAKER_02Yes.
SPEAKER_05Okay.
SPEAKER_03I obviously left it because I didn't want her to give me that look that she gave you.
SPEAKER_05Wow. Oh my god. Pake. The look of the randomizing here.
SPEAKER_06Yeah, it wasn't no. Do not do not mistake this for his randomizer telling him to take it. Let's be clear here.
SPEAKER_05My randomizing the way where 13 landed. Not picture.
SPEAKER_06He chose 13 for one reason only. To fuck with me.
SPEAKER_02Because my RNG told me to.
SPEAKER_06No, it did not.
SPEAKER_02And it did.
SPEAKER_06No.
SPEAKER_02After he rolled it. After he manipulated it. Nope. One roll.
SPEAKER_06I don't believe it.
SPEAKER_02I just didn't change it because I decided that would be a great thing to do.
SPEAKER_06Okay. You wanted to fuck with me.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, knock you off your game. It's the only chance we got.

SPEAKER_02I'll pick for you.
SPEAKER_06No, you won't.
SPEAKER_03Well, Pake's good at picking your number.
SPEAKER_02Great at picking.
SPEAKER_03He's historically, Pake has been fantastic at random numbers. You realize the only time that like it worked out that he chose a good number is the time that he stole Daphne's number. Oh.
SPEAKER_02She picked 11. I figured that was her new go-to.
SPEAKER_03You know better than 11 for the last few months. Yeah, she's been a real big picking eleven a lot.
SPEAKER_06You know better than that. You did that on purpose.
SPEAKER_05Pink does not know better than that.

SPEAKER_03Already done. You're getting the look again.
SPEAKER_06Yeah, um, I don't think I want you quoting Rob Bass and DJ Easy Rock to me. Thank you very much.
SPEAKER_02Okay. Super strategic move of pawn takes 13. Shifted her whole game.
SPEAKER_06Uh number 18, Jerry.
SPEAKER_05Uh did you say eight?

SPEAKER_06I want a refund on these lucky numbers that I haven't gotten.
SPEAKER_05Okay, your clue is Sir Pity. Like a knight, Sir Pity. S-I-R-P-I-T-Y. Two words.

SPEAKER_02So uh I have eight, twenty-two, and twenty-four left.
SPEAKER_03Okay, that's what it is. I had fourteen still on here. Yep. Thank you, sir. Um let's go with twenty two. Lucky number twenty two.
SPEAKER_05Oh. Your clue is night chub.
SPEAKER_02And is that N I G H T?
SPEAKER_05Yes.
SPEAKER_03Whenever you get night chub, get out your dick soap. Oh my god. The first rule of night chub is you do not talk about night chub. Talk about night chub. Oh my god. I am Jack's nocturnal emission.
SPEAKER_06Oh my god. And now we have time for a short break.
SPEAKER_01While Jerry rewrites his brain.
SPEAKER_03Okay, I'm back. Fight club. I just wanted to make sure I said it. Yes.
SPEAKER_05Wait, eight or twenty-four?
SPEAKER_02Eight.
unknownEight.
SPEAKER_05Lucky number eight. Your clue is shakes or I plank.
SPEAKER_06Come on, you know it.
SPEAKER_03I'm just getting it written out. Okay. Okay. Took me a minute.
SPEAKER_02Uh snakes on a plane.
SPEAKER_05Correct. We're gonna have to go to a tiebreaker. Alrighty. Daphne, number 24.
SPEAKER_03Let her choose.
SPEAKER_05Let her choose. Oh, yeah. That's right. We gotta let her choose. She doesn't want you picking a number for her.
SPEAKER_06Yes, that's it. Whatever. Whatever the fuck you want. Let's go.
SPEAKER_03Jerry's backing away slowly.
SPEAKER_05You're lucky number 24 to finish out the game. Your clue is cystic liver.
SPEAKER_06Mystic river.
SPEAKER_05Correct.
SPEAKER_02That's funny. Uh oh my gosh.
SPEAKER_06Well, I think in some cases, Jerry made up words that were not actually real.
SPEAKER_02Looking back on it. Tunny is a word? Tunny. Stogie in Stogie is spelled with an I.E. Yeah.
SPEAKER_05Yeah. Okay. Give me one moment here to find my tiebreaker. I wasn't counting on a tiebreaker.
SPEAKER_03Uh, you should have been. We're smart.
unknownLet's see where's my tiebreakers.
SPEAKER_02Where do I put them? My damn tiebreakers. Are they in the drawer next to your switch?
SPEAKER_03Yes. I don't understand why you'd want to break your ties. You know? That one didn't land.
SPEAKER_02Uh I was just trying to think think of something else. I'm like, I mean, how do you break a tie you cut the with a pair of scissors? That's that's more of a tie-cutter than a breaker.
SPEAKER_03Tie clipper, yeah. Um just uh they can't all be gold.
unknownYeah.
SPEAKER_02That's you know, sometimes you the part of fishing, you're not gonna catch something every time, but you've got to cast anyway.
SPEAKER_03Well, and this was, you know, one of the things that I I I know I've said it before, and I think Pake probably has too, back when we first started this podcast, is it's quantity over quality.
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_03You know, just keep throwing the puns out there. Eventually something's gonna hit.
unknownOkay.
SPEAKER_03When you least expect it, you're gonna have a nocturnal emission.
SPEAKER_01Yeah. I guess.
SPEAKER_05Okay, let's see. Here it is. Okay, it'll be in the form of a fun question, but there you will have to use your whiteboards because it you're gonna give me a number.
SPEAKER_03You are aware.
SPEAKER_05Yes. Uh taken, Jeff, for the tiebreaker. You are aware that the planet Neptune exists.
SPEAKER_03Heard of it? Um.
SPEAKER_05Okay. And on Neptune, it's like Neptune has the fastest wind speeds, measured wind speeds of our entire solar system. What I what is the fa what is the highest measure wind speeds?
SPEAKER_03I'm gonna apologize. I'm gonna apologize in advance for the joke about the wind speeds coming from Uranus.
SPEAKER_05No, that's why I didn't choose that's why I chose Neptune.
unknownYeah.
SPEAKER_03I couldn't, it was right there, and I couldn't.
SPEAKER_05Yes, that's why I didn't choose it.
SPEAKER_03Please continue. Yeah. Okay.
SPEAKER_05So the the yeah, so it has has the strongest sustained winds of any planet in our solar system. So whoever's closest to it, what is the highest highest wind speed in miles per hour?
SPEAKER_03Wow. Now, this makes no difference to my answer whatsoever, but are these wind gusts or is this sustained speed? Strongest sustained winds. Okay. Like I said, it makes no difference to my it's not like I had the answer for gusts, you know. Okay. Doing this in freedom units. I can't even think of how fast a hurricane goes. To like for, you know, for um comparison.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, yeah, I this is just throwing something out there. He's feeling real good about the movie titles, and then it's like, let's throw random science facts at you with numbers.
SPEAKER_03That'll take the wind out of the sails. Okay. Alright, this is what we're going with, with absolutely no reasoning behind it. Nah, okay. Okay. I have no definitely more than two miles per hour. Yeah. Okay. So, Pike, what's your answer?
SPEAKER_02I'm way shot under with 301.
SPEAKER_05Oh, yeah, you're way off pig. The highest of sustained wind speed measured on Neptune is 1300 miles per hour. So that gives Jeff with a difference of the.
SPEAKER_02Oh, I forgot the one in front of mine.
SPEAKER_06You know what that's interesting?
SPEAKER_03301.
SPEAKER_06Jerry, what's really interesting about the way you play this game is that you don't do Price's right rules. If Rob and Joe were here, they would encourage you to do that. Well the closest without going over is usually customary with tiebreakers.
SPEAKER_03I've never done I've always done my trivia is always done closest.
SPEAKER_06Yeah, but your trivia isn't Rob and Joe's trivia. And that trivia is truly special.
SPEAKER_02Well, this because it's it's it's robbed from somewhere else. Yeah. Rob and Joe, take it.
SPEAKER_06You've met them now.
SPEAKER_03Yes. And there's two of them.
unknownYeah.
SPEAKER_03Which is wild.
SPEAKER_06Yeah.
SPEAKER_03Rob and Joe and another guy named Rob. Which is kind of a coincidence when you think about it. Yes. You know, the guy's nickname is Rob and Joe, and he teams up with a guy named Rob. What are the odds of that?
SPEAKER_06That's crazy. They were incredibly tame being on this podcast because Joe really pushes Rob right to the edge sometimes. And I can relate.
SPEAKER_03Yeah. Okay. So Joe pushes you to the edge too?
SPEAKER_06No, you do.
SPEAKER_03Well. Just you, Jeff.
SPEAKER_02Just Jeff.
SPEAKER_06No. The Allen boys push Daphne to the edge.
SPEAKER_02And then Jerry just kicks her over like a Spartan.
unknownYep.
SPEAKER_05And we say is Buffalo. But I have to do it like a mule kick, just yeah. Alright, but Jeff, congratulations on your win.
SPEAKER_03Thank you so much. Squeak it out. So happy.
SPEAKER_05With a nine to eight to seven and a half. So good plan. All right. And we have one bit of feedback. Oddly enough, it's from my brother Tim.
SPEAKER_06Oh boy.
SPEAKER_05Yeah.
SPEAKER_06Has Tim ever sent in feedback before?
SPEAKER_05Uh he has not.
SPEAKER_06Wow. Welcome, Tim. So now you've got. I wondered where we got that additional listener. And it must be your brother.
SPEAKER_05No, my nephew listens as well.
SPEAKER_06I know, but recently.
SPEAKER_02So it's at least three people that listen to this. Yes.
SPEAKER_05That's cool. That's good. We tripled our listenership inside of a couple of years, so it's good. All right. But he writes on episode uh 71, Bask in the Bisque. He says, Good win.
SPEAKER_02We're going way back.
SPEAKER_05Yeah, we're going way back. Yeah, we're almost at episode 200.
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_05It reads, Good win for Daphne, even though I am on Team Jerry. He's kind of biased.
SPEAKER_03I don't understand that. I don't understand that at all.
SPEAKER_06Well, you know.
unknownYeah. Yeah.
SPEAKER_03But thank you for to play my game. Jerry, that was a lot of fun.
SPEAKER_06And you've given me an idea for a game for the future.
SPEAKER_03Ooh. Nice.
SPEAKER_06You may or may not like it.
SPEAKER_03Wind speeds on other planets. Yeah. It's all about wind speed.
SPEAKER_05Yeah, if it turns out if it turns out bad, we can say this game blows.
SPEAKER_06Yeah, thank you for that, Sherry. Thank you so much.
unknownOkay.
