Live from Dinner in the Sky in Brussels, Belgium, it's Buffalo Buffalo.
SPEAKER_00It's Buffalo Buffalo Buffalo Buffalo. Yeah.
SPEAKER_01Welcome to Buffalo Buffalo. I am Daphne. I am the game master this week. I want to do an evil laugh, but I don't have a good evil laugh, so I'm not gonna do it.
SPEAKER_06Insert evil laugh here. I am joined one in.
SPEAKER_01I am joined by the usual suspects. Pake and Jerry.
SPEAKER_08Hello.
SPEAKER_01Say hello, guys. Hello, guys. This is off to a wonderful start already. Thank you.
SPEAKER_06I appreciate the uh compliment.
SPEAKER_01Yeah. It's the only one you're getting, so you know, so let it soak in now.
SPEAKER_08I'll give them another compliment later.
SPEAKER_01You will? Yeah.
SPEAKER_06And I'm sure I'll get more. Maybe not tonight, but like there's people I'll see in the next couple of days that I'm sure might compliment me in some degree or another.
SPEAKER_08Uh-huh. You know, Pick, that's a very very uh positive outlook that you have.
SPEAKER_06Yeah. Thank you. Thank you very much.
SPEAKER_01Oh my god.
SPEAKER_08I know. We're teaming up.
SPEAKER_01You are. It is it is kind of ridiculous that this is where you are.
unknownYes.
SPEAKER_04And and not fully ridiculous.
SPEAKER_08No. So it's more like ridicule ridiculous. Yeah.
SPEAKER_01So um we had a great um wonderful Jerryism in our text chat earlier. Um I had been to a work welcome party because my team was moved to a different department, and so they were welcoming our team into this new department. And Jerry, would you like to tell us what you said in response to that?
SPEAKER_04I'm pulling it up here. Hang on. Okay.
unknownOkay.
SPEAKER_04In response to Daphne, I wrote, You've been there howling many years and they're barely welcoming you?
SPEAKER_01Yes. Howling many years.
SPEAKER_06You've been there howling many years, like a wolf. Yep.
SPEAKER_01Yeah. Um This is how things are in this world.
SPEAKER_08Because it can't be edited.
SPEAKER_01No. And why is it that we can't edit it, Jeff? What what is the reason?
SPEAKER_08It's some kind of disease. I can't remember what it is now. Um gangrene. Yeah, gangrene disease. Yes. Okay. Something like that. Jerry has gangrene.
SPEAKER_01Yep. His phone has gangrene.
SPEAKER_08Yeah. Jerry's phone has gangrene bubbles.
SPEAKER_01He has electronic gangrene. That's what it is.
SPEAKER_04Digital gangrene.
SPEAKER_01Digital gangrene.
SPEAKER_06Uh-huh.
SPEAKER_04How would that even work?
SPEAKER_01I don't know, but it sounds terrible.
SPEAKER_06But if you this is a deep-cut reference that maybe somebody was like, if you had a digital gangrene, you'd have to make it play base for gorillas.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, I think you might have to explain that to the audience.
SPEAKER_04I don't know.
SPEAKER_06That's a whole if people get it. Because jokes are always funny when you explain them. Yes. Absolutely. But no, more of a reference. So, gorillas, the band, which is actual human people, but then they also have their cartoon counterparts. Yeah. Um, and so in the storyline of the band, their bassist Murdoch was in prison for a while, so for an album, the bassist, quote unquote, on the album was Ace, which is a character from the Powerpuff Girls cartoon who was part of a group called the Gangrene Gang. So that was connecting all of those dots. That's what that was. That's fantastic.
SPEAKER_08It was a it was a deep cut breach reference.
SPEAKER_06Yeah.
SPEAKER_01You know what? I feel like if Tony is listening, he'll get that reference probably. Right. I do before we get too far into this episode, and this is going to come out s in several weeks anyway. But our good friend Levi, friend of show, celebrated 100 episodes of Talking Tremors. And so I thought we should congratulate them on that milestone.
SPEAKER_08Congratulate them on that milestone. It's not like us, you know, who are we're almost at 200 now. They've still got some work to do. I know this is coming.
unknownOh.
SPEAKER_04And I'm gonna have to suffer with it until we actually reach 200. Yes.
SPEAKER_01I know, but we're closing in on 100.
SPEAKER_04Yes, we are.
unknownYep.
SPEAKER_01This is number 96, so we're getting closer and closer.
SPEAKER_04Yeah, because we won't hit 200 until when uh about May of 2028, something like that.
SPEAKER_01Yeah. Yeah. That's too far in the future, Jerry. I can't think that far ahead.
SPEAKER_04Yep. Just two years. Yeah. Yeah. I have to think that far ahead.
SPEAKER_01Okay.
SPEAKER_04Engineers tend to do it under two years. Okay. Yeah. Yeah.
SPEAKER_01Okay. Um, so how are you guys doing? How's things going? I know in California it's been getting a bit warm.
SPEAKER_08Today it is. And then today it rained. Yes.
SPEAKER_06That's your one of three for the year. Yeah, exactly.
SPEAKER_08Yeah. Yeah. It was a couple weeks ago it was getting up to, you know, even here it was close to 90. And I think Jerry, how did it hit triple digits for you or just very close?
SPEAKER_04Almost. It was like it was in the 90s, but but today, like you said, with the rain, it was like today, like uh driving home from work, it was like the hummingbird spittle rain.
SPEAKER_08Mm-hmm. Yes, that's always fun.
SPEAKER_04Yeah, I don't like it.
SPEAKER_08Well, we're getting kind where it's not enough to have you can't have your wipers on. There's no reason to have your wipers on smear a couple of minutes. But every couple of minutes you have to put them on for one wipe.
SPEAKER_04Yeah.
SPEAKER_08Yeah.
SPEAKER_04Yeah, and because of the uh the pollen drop, you know, my great my gray truck, dark gray truck has now turned a nice shade of yellow. So and then today it was like with that um with the with the pollen on my windshield mixed with the water, it's like I just had to use the wipe the the fluid on it and just clean it off.
SPEAKER_06Yeah, yeah, yeah. I just had to hold that like wiper fluid down for a while and just let it clear up for a minute while going. Yep. Yep.
SPEAKER_01Well, we're getting 60 degree weather tomorrow and then Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. So we're we're warming up here. Frigid. Yeah. It's perfect.
SPEAKER_08This is like we're in the low 60s. Yeah. Uh tomorrow it's supposed to be 62, Thursday 63, and then it warms up a little bit.
SPEAKER_06It's been like it's been in like the mid and high 80s for like the past week. Uh-oh. So like winter weather for Texas. Yeah, exactly. So like it's it's honestly been a very beautiful, breezy, cool spring days.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, but I I'm getting the impression that you're getting close to the end of disc golf season.
SPEAKER_06I still played today. We're we're just kind of folk we're we're leaning more into the courses that are fully in the woods, so there's less direct sunlight on us. I hit all the trees that I can, but at least I'm not out in the sun all day.
SPEAKER_02Yeah.
SPEAKER_08Which is the point of disc golf. You're supposed to put all the trees.
SPEAKER_06Yeah. It's like yeah, trick shots. It's like pinball.
SPEAKER_08Right, it's like billiards. You're supposed to hit every bumper. Yeah.
SPEAKER_01Oh, okay. I I never knew that, but thank you for enlightening me in that with that information.
SPEAKER_08Paige had the most shots.
SPEAKER_06So, you know, congratulations, Paige. Almost got an ace today. Which is the whole hole in one. Throwing from the tea box and getting it in. It hit the basket, but if I would have released a little bit low higher, it would have went into the chains. So closest I've ever been.
SPEAKER_01So you've never gotten an ace ever?
SPEAKER_06No, it's incredibly difficult. Quite difficult.
SPEAKER_01I can see why it would be. I've seen videos of you throwing, and I look at it thinking, I I think I have great hand-eye coordination, but I don't think I would excel at that at all. I think I would be all over the place. Like, it's not gonna go where I want it to go, because I'm gonna throw it the wrong way, or something could go completely wrong. But it does look like it's a lot of fun.
SPEAKER_08My thing is normally it's I'm just my hand is slightly tilted or something like that. So it just slices way off to the right, usually. Yeah. Um yeah.
SPEAKER_06We can get in a whole there's a whole thing, because I've I've taught other people how to play or like have new newbies that are playing with us. And that's one of the first things you gotta get down is that release where like any little like angle it's gonna send it in those ways. It's popping a towel. You gotta have as straight and flat as you can. Yep.
SPEAKER_01Um, well, as a woman, I don't think I ever learned how to pop a towel. So I don't think that's a big thing.
SPEAKER_08Because women don't touch towels, they kill them. Oh, that makes sense. Yeah. I never like whipped a towel at somebody, like a wet towel to try to whip somebody. That doesn't mean that as a kid, I didn't every time I used a towel try to snap it. Yeah.
SPEAKER_02No.
SPEAKER_08Just every time I picked up a towel. It's like it's like when you pick up tongs. You have to click them together three times.
SPEAKER_06Yeah.
SPEAKER_08Yeah.
SPEAKER_06So but if you don't, then they don't work correctly.
SPEAKER_08Exactly. It's just like when you have a stud finder, you have to put it to your own chest first and let it beep. Found it! And then you hold it up to your buddy and you don't let it beep.
SPEAKER_01This is great education.
SPEAKER_08That's an educational podcast. This comes with the manual.
SPEAKER_01Wonderful. Wonderful. I thought it would be better if it was just automatic, Jeff. Why does it have to be manual?
SPEAKER_08It's a manual. It's actually pronounced manual. Yeah. Yeah.
SPEAKER_04How many people, how many people in our in our group here can drive a manual?
SPEAKER_06So never have half of us.
SPEAKER_01I can if I have to. I have not in a long time. I had a boyfriend in high school that taught me how to drive.
SPEAKER_08Um I tried once and it was like. No, I'm I'm not I could learn. I could absolutely learn to do it, but it was like, why would I want that when I could just have the car do it for me? Exactly.
SPEAKER_01If I was trying to escape, I could probably make it work enough to get us the hell out of wherever I need to get away from. But yeah, it's not something I excel at. Same boyfriend taught me how to shoot a gun.
SPEAKER_06Did them at the same time.
SPEAKER_01No. No. Not at all.
SPEAKER_08Now drive really slowly down this block.
SPEAKER_01No. No.
SPEAKER_04Fire it and then hit the gas.
SPEAKER_01I think I told you guys this story once, but my sister decided that if there was a zombie apocalypse, she was gonna come to my house. And I said, no, no. We're going to your house on the lake that is secluded.
SPEAKER_02Yes.
SPEAKER_01That's a much better location. Trust me. If you trust me enough to come to my house and think that I'm gonna save you, trust knowing that I know you need to be where you are at your lake house. Like that's what needs to happen.
SPEAKER_06So what if they're frat zombies and they're all gonna be on the lake?
SPEAKER_08That's a good point. Oh didn't think about that, did you, Daphne?
SPEAKER_01I didn't, but I don't think that that's gonna be an issue. I really don't.
SPEAKER_08Frat zombies.
SPEAKER_06No, you never know what kind you're gonna get.
unknownYeah.
SPEAKER_01Oh, is this like a box of chocolates?
SPEAKER_08Yep. Maybe. Except except all the chocolates try to bite you.
SPEAKER_01Okay, instead of you biting them.
SPEAKER_08Right. It's it's similar but slightly different.
SPEAKER_01Wonderful. I've been so enlightened by this conversation. I don't even know what to do with all this information I've been given. I'm gonna have to shove something out of my brain to make room for it. And I'm not sure what to shove out.
SPEAKER_06Maybe how to drive manual.
SPEAKER_01No, that could still come in handy. Okay. Let's play a game.
SPEAKER_08Okay.
SPEAKER_01Yep. So the name of this game is What's in a word?
SPEAKER_06Letters. Did we all win?
SPEAKER_01No.
SPEAKER_06You did not for each of us.
SPEAKER_01No. No, there isn't a point for each of you. I'm giving out the points, not you. So, um I have twenty of these.
SPEAKER_04Games?
SPEAKER_01And I no.
SPEAKER_0420 games. So this is gonna do that.
SPEAKER_01I have 20 prompts, and against my better judgment, I'm going to allow you to use a random number generator.
unknownYay!
SPEAKER_01It's actually gonna add so much more time to this game, but you know, we'll we'll make it happen somehow. Some of these are gonna be really easy, and some of them might be a little harder. I did not do any real deep cuts, like super deep, like from the Yeah, we would need stitches.
SPEAKER_04You would we would need stitches, yeah.
SPEAKER_01So I didn't. We're gonna go in the order that you are on my screen, which is Pake, Jerry, and Jeff. You all get to answer. I'm gonna read you a prompt, and you have to guess what the name of the TV show is, but the TV show only has one word in the title.
SPEAKER_04Well, we gotta redo next week's game.
SPEAKER_01No way!
SPEAKER_04No kidding, no kidding.
SPEAKER_08That does sound like a Jerry game, though. It does feel like a Jerry game.
SPEAKER_01Uh so I was inspired to do this, believe it or not, Rob and Joe last week. We had a picture round that was one-word TV shows. And so we aced it, of course.
SPEAKER_06Of course you did. So I And that's a hole in one, right in the basket.
SPEAKER_08Uh-huh. Right. It is. How do you get a hole in one on in trivia?
SPEAKER_01Only one time have we gotten a hole in one, which I what I would consider. I mean, a perfect round could be a hole in one, but a perfect game, is that what's even better than a hole in one?
SPEAKER_08Is it there's nothing holes in one. Okay, I I guess, yeah.
SPEAKER_01We've only done that.
SPEAKER_08I believe if I remember, um which who was it? Um Kim Jong il, I think. Shot a perfect game of 18 holes in one. Yeah, that sounds right.
SPEAKER_01Okay.
SPEAKER_06So I expect nothing less of Glorious Leader.
SPEAKER_01Yes. So I um hmm. My brain needs to reboot. I've been distracted by you guys. You finally got to my brain.
SPEAKER_06And now galoshes. If it needs to put new boots on, that'll that'll help with like some of the like like brain melty. Yes, and it holds liquid better.
SPEAKER_01Sure. Um yeah, I I don't know. I mean, we ace we aced that round.
SPEAKER_08Yes.
SPEAKER_01We've only had one perfect game. We've already talked about that on this podcast. Okay.
SPEAKER_06Yes.
SPEAKER_01What number?
SPEAKER_06Thirteen. No, not eleven. Thirteen, not eleven. Thirteen.
SPEAKER_01Okay.
SPEAKER_06You can't even play. You can't pick numbers, so it's free fair game today. Yes.
SPEAKER_01Uh-huh.
SPEAKER_06Sure.
SPEAKER_01Strangers are trapped in a town where danger comes out at night. And I'm not gonna let you take four hours to answer.
SPEAKER_08Oh, okay. Just three hours. How many hours do we get?
SPEAKER_01The clue is strangers are trapped in a town where danger comes out at night.
SPEAKER_08Okay.
SPEAKER_01Let's see what you guys put. Pake and Jerry put from. And that is the from. And that is the correct answer.
SPEAKER_08Jeff had no idea.
SPEAKER_01Jeff hasn't seen it, has he?
SPEAKER_08He has not. You gotta get on that one.
SPEAKER_01You gotta get on that.
SPEAKER_08There's a lot of shows I haven't seen on the show.
SPEAKER_01Next month, which is tomorrow. Like sometime. Yeah, it's coming. Okay, Jerry.
SPEAKER_04Lucky number seven.
SPEAKER_01Okay. As I said, some of these are easier. Workers live two separate lives that are not meant to intersect.
SPEAKER_08Workers live two separate lives. I can't even understand that.
SPEAKER_04There's these groups of people called workers.
SPEAKER_06People that work at jobs.
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_06Okay, I have no clue. Jobs are these things that people get to like earn money.
SPEAKER_02Oh boy.
SPEAKER_01Oh, Jack's picking his next number. Okay, let's see what you guys put. Okay, Peg put Sever Unts, and Jerry put Silo. The answer is Severance. Yeah.
SPEAKER_08Another show I've never seen. Also need to get on that one.
SPEAKER_01Yep. So good. Okay, Jeff, do you want number eleven?
SPEAKER_08Eleven, please.
SPEAKER_01Cartoon siblings cause chaos with slapstick humor and satire.
SPEAKER_08Cartoon siblings.
SPEAKER_04But only one word.
SPEAKER_08Yeah. I can think of many, but okay.
SPEAKER_01Let's see what you have put. Jerry put a flag. Jeff put Animaniacs. Those are the facts. And Peg put what?
SPEAKER_08Because it's the Animaniacs.
SPEAKER_01Oh, and it's Yes.
SPEAKER_08Wacko. There you go.
SPEAKER_04Alright.
SPEAKER_08Honestly, I it took me a long time to come up with that.
SPEAKER_04Oh my god.
SPEAKER_01Jeff is on the board, finally.
SPEAKER_08Finally. I should feel ashamed. You should.
SPEAKER_01Should.
SPEAKER_08For your punishment, you must sing Yacko's World off from memory.
SPEAKER_01I don't know if Jerry even knows what that is.
SPEAKER_03United States, Canada, Mexico, Panama. Hey, Jimmy Go.
SPEAKER_02Yes.
SPEAKER_01I know nothing about that. Like I've never even seen that show.
SPEAKER_04That's Waco's World. You mean Yacko's America?
SPEAKER_01Whatever it is. I haven't seen it. That's Elliot's he his category. Oh, it's Elliot's show.
SPEAKER_08I didn't realize that. Elliot created that show. I thought Steven Spielberg did, but apparently it was Elliot. That's cool.
SPEAKER_01Okay. Peak.
SPEAKER_08It was Elliot.
SPEAKER_01That's pick a number.
SPEAKER_06Um 84.
SPEAKER_01That's a good one.
SPEAKER_06Oh, one of the ones that's one of the ones that's in between 1 and 20 for the game. Yes. Oh, okay. Separate thing. Got it. 16.
SPEAKER_01Okay. Ordinary people begin to realize they are anything but ordinary. And I'll just tell you that this game saved you from how well do you know Daphne round four? Because I came up with this in the middle of putting that one together. Alright. Let's reveal.
SPEAKER_08One second.
SPEAKER_01It's been about five seconds now.
SPEAKER_08Okay. Five seconds.
SPEAKER_01Okay, let's see what you guys put. Heroes, save the cheerleader, save the world.
SPEAKER_08Uh, that's not what that says, Daphne.
SPEAKER_01Shave the cheerleader, shave the world. Jeff Jeff, no, that's minus one for that answer. Uh Jerry put heroes.
SPEAKER_04And Peg put that was an L I put.
SPEAKER_01Well, I can't.
SPEAKER_04You need to read these better.
SPEAKER_01Allie, Larder show some good reason. Uh huh.
SPEAKER_06Some odd reason.
SPEAKER_01Some odd reason. Okay.
SPEAKER_06Tell me how this is not correct.
SPEAKER_01Extraordinary.
SPEAKER_06Mm-hmm.
SPEAKER_01That's not the answer is heroes.
SPEAKER_06But how but tell me how this does not fit that? Because it's not the answer. How is this she was thinking of?
SPEAKER_01Because it's not the answer that I was looking for.
SPEAKER_06But you didn't say pick which one is in my brain. You said which one matches this. It's always been pick which one is in Daphne's brain. And I defy you to tell me how that's not correct.
SPEAKER_01Given chose heroes.
SPEAKER_08It's always been a good thing.
SPEAKER_06Because you could give a vague setup that could be a hundred different things and then go to the case.
SPEAKER_01Here's a little clue for you. If the answer is in the clue, if you think the answer is in the clue, you're wrong. Because the word ordinary was in the clue. It's not going to be in the show name.
SPEAKER_06Yeah. Ordinary people are not ordinary. They're extraordinary. And it's one, it's one word, and extraordinary is a different word than ordinary.
SPEAKER_01Well, you put it as extra and ordinary. That was just emphasis.
SPEAKER_06That was just emphasis.
SPEAKER_08It was on it was emphasis. Put the emphasis on the wrong syllable then.
SPEAKER_01Who's the game master this week?
SPEAKER_06Me. Oh, congratulations, I'm taking over. Next one.
SPEAKER_01You took care of things last week. This is my this is my week. Okay, Jerry.
SPEAKER_03Okay, um. Lucky number three.
SPEAKER_01Lucky number three. Okay. A fixer handles high profile crises for powerful people.
SPEAKER_08I feel like I should know that one. Uh is that far.
SPEAKER_01This is a show I haven't seen.
SPEAKER_06It is driving me crazy because I watched some of it at least.
SPEAKER_01I think you did. I think you've mentioned it.
SPEAKER_08No, I can't come up with it.
SPEAKER_01Okay.
SPEAKER_06Uh let's uh I'm not done.
SPEAKER_01Because you're gonna draw pictures, or you're gonna write more words that are not the answer.
SPEAKER_02Okay.
SPEAKER_01Okay, let's see what you put. Jerry put MacGyver. Jeff put nothing. Peg put that show with Leave Schreiber. Uh, the answer is scandal.
SPEAKER_06Oh. Ah, damn it. No, I didn't watch that at all. What's the one with Leave Schreiber? Because also that is exactly that exact same premise. Ray Donovan, that's what it was. So it's two words any words.
SPEAKER_01So it doesn't really fit Peik.
SPEAKER_08No, it's actually it's pronounced Radonovan. Redonovan. Radanovan. Redonovan.
SPEAKER_06Radonovan.
SPEAKER_08It's medication. One word. Redonovan.
SPEAKER_06Ask your doctor if Radonovan is right for you.
unknownYeah. Okay.
SPEAKER_01I think we are back to Peak, but let me give you an update on. We are with Jeff. Okay. The score is.
SPEAKER_06Congratulations.
SPEAKER_01Yay. Jeff and Jerry each have two. Peg has three. Okay. Jeff, what number?
SPEAKER_08Uh number 17, please.
SPEAKER_01A quiet town hides secrets tied to disappearances and time itself.
SPEAKER_03Dang you.
SPEAKER_08Oh, oh, oh, okay. One of the greatest shows of all time.
SPEAKER_01Absolutely.
SPEAKER_08I don't think I'm gonna get it but go again.
SPEAKER_01A quiet town hides secrets tied to disappearances and time itself.
SPEAKER_03Jesus. I don't know.
SPEAKER_04No, my nephew's probably screaming at me because he knows this question. Knows the uh answer to this question.
SPEAKER_01Okay, let's reveal. Jeff put Dunkel Time Town.
SPEAKER_06Time Town, you know, the show that everybody was raving about. Old Time Town.
SPEAKER_01And Jerry just put a question mark. The answer for that one is dark.
SPEAKER_06Ah. Never seen such an amazing show.
SPEAKER_08I watched the first one.
SPEAKER_06And that's it.
SPEAKER_01I never watched the first season. I really need I need to start over. Oh my god.
SPEAKER_08I tried to get uh Strange Indeed to cover dark.
SPEAKER_06It would have been our up our alley. Except we would have had to get the like corkboards and the red strings. Yes.
SPEAKER_08Yeah, it would have been absolutely it's always sunny, you know.
SPEAKER_01Yeah. Okay, Pike. What number?
SPEAKER_06Number twenty. There's the evil laugh. You're just gonna have to cut that and then put it in early on. Yeah. Copy and paste that one in earlier on.
SPEAKER_01Women become unlikely stars in an over-the-top televised spectacle. Or should I give you the original clue? I I don't think that one. Women become unlikely stars in a flashy wrestling TV show.
SPEAKER_08I thought that's what it was. So that's what I was gonna guess, anyways. So I now I wish that you hadn't given us the although I don't think I would have got it at that point. I I did have it in my head. I was gonna use it as a guess. I wasn't positive.
SPEAKER_01And I do believe that if Peg hadn't gotten it, he would have been mad at himself. Because he loves it and he's still not over its cancellation.
SPEAKER_06It's it's one of the handful of shows that I will not forgive Netflix for the way they just dropped them.
SPEAKER_01Okay, so please reveal. And the answer is Glow.
SPEAKER_08Oh my god, I messed that up.
SPEAKER_01Jeff and J um Jeff put Heels, which is a fantastic TV show.
SPEAKER_04Also a great one.
SPEAKER_01Hake and Jerry put Glow. The answer is Glow. It's Glow.
SPEAKER_04Yeah.
SPEAKER_01As a uh I didn't even think of doing Heels.
SPEAKER_04As a a really as a really bad answer, I almost put Katie's.
SPEAKER_01Oh god. Jerry.
SPEAKER_08Oh my god, Jerry. I think that was a movie though. It was a movie, yes.
SPEAKER_01Okay, Jerry, give me a number.
SPEAKER_06He broke himself. We're gonna need a minute.
SPEAKER_04Oh God, I'm sorry.
SPEAKER_08You need to apologize for that profusely.
SPEAKER_02Mm-hmm.
SPEAKER_08We'll be right back after these messages.
SPEAKER_06Ask your doctor if we're done with the doctor.
SPEAKER_01I would like Jerry to return into the podcast, and you guys are not helping with your foolishness. Oh my god.
SPEAKER_04I apologize for that one. That was inexcusable. I don't know why I'm laughing so much at it, but no.
SPEAKER_01Okay, Jerry.
SPEAKER_04I appreciated it. Yeah. Lucky number 19.
SPEAKER_01Teenagers struggle with identity, addiction, and intense emotions.
SPEAKER_08High school. Like every life. What is it? Teenagers struggle with. What don't they struggle with?
SPEAKER_01They struggle with everything.
SPEAKER_08Mm-hmm.
SPEAKER_01Teenagers struggle with identity, addiction, and intense emotions.
SPEAKER_08I have no idea if this is what you're looking for, but it's what I'm putting.
SPEAKER_06I'm putting both of the ones that make that fit this 100%.
SPEAKER_01Oh, you are.
SPEAKER_06I feel like there are a lot that fit this. Yeah. But even with one word, there are two that are correct. So Mr.
SPEAKER_01Sassy Pants is gonna school me.
SPEAKER_06And they're both wrong. My main guess is the one that I think you would do more. But there is another one.
SPEAKER_01Okay. Let's see what you put. I'm dying to see. Uh oh. Okay. Jerry put euphoria. Jeff put degrassi. Pake Hart. He put Euphoria, but he also put skins. Which is such a great show. If you haven't seen it, it came out in the UK. Nicholas Holt, one of his earlier roles.
SPEAKER_08So which of those was the correct answer? I still don't know.
SPEAKER_01Correct answer is Euphoria.
SPEAKER_06Oh, but I get a point for skins.
SPEAKER_01Uh I I can't give you an extra point.
SPEAKER_06But I also did write Euphoria.
SPEAKER_01But I want to give you an extra point for skins because I love points.
SPEAKER_06I don't need an extra point. I just need the point for the.
SPEAKER_01You got a point, okay? Happy?
SPEAKER_06I'm arguing. I I never have cared about points more in my life than today for some reason.
SPEAKER_01I don't really know why. I don't know why. Okay. Jerry, pick a number.
SPEAKER_06Jerry just did.
SPEAKER_01Oh, Jeff, pick a number.
SPEAKER_06Wait, so we're just gonna backtrack? Which order were we going in?
SPEAKER_01Pake, Jerry, Jeff. Jeff.
SPEAKER_06Okay, okay.
SPEAKER_01Jeff.
SPEAKER_06Because that's not the order on my screen, and I get confused.
SPEAKER_01Well, move people around. It makes it easier that way.
SPEAKER_08Yeah, it does. Uh five, please.
SPEAKER_01Five. A crime-filled city shows the early days of famous heroes and villains.
SPEAKER_08I think this is it. It's another show I've never seen.
SPEAKER_01I can't help you, Jeff. You've missed out on some good ones. Have you seen The Wire?
SPEAKER_08No.
SPEAKER_01Have you seen Deadwood?
SPEAKER_08No. Do you want to just go do you want me to just go down the list? Have you seen Banda Brothers? No. Have you seen The Sopranos? No. Have you seen Oz? No.
SPEAKER_01Oh, Jeff. Oh.
SPEAKER_08Have you seen any move any television show that has been up for an Emmy in the last five years? No. Shits Creek. No.
SPEAKER_01Have you seen Fear the Walking Dead?
SPEAKER_08Like I said, up for an Emmy.
SPEAKER_01Okay, let's see what you put.
SPEAKER_08Oh, that's what it is. Yeah.
SPEAKER_01Pake and Jerry put Gotham.
SPEAKER_06Actually, that's got ham? Oh. Because put it in a ham net to keep your extra ham.
SPEAKER_04Got ham. Oh, God. Oh, what a callback. I love it. Okay. That's for you, Levi.
SPEAKER_01You. You pushed Levi too far with that one.
SPEAKER_04Okay, Pate. You guys seem to like it.
SPEAKER_01Hey, back to you. Eight. A group of high school underdogs come together through performance and rivalry.
SPEAKER_08Again, I'm correct. No idea if this is correct, but it's a show that's one word about high schoolers. So and performance.
SPEAKER_01Okay. Let's see what you put. Oh! Glee, glee, glee. Yes, you all put glee. You're all correct. It is glee.
SPEAKER_06I didn't see how it could be something else, but if it was, no.
SPEAKER_08It would be wrong. Even if you're right, it's wrong. Yeah, no one. We know how it works. Mm-hmm. Is it Jerry's now?
SPEAKER_03We just went. Is it that was Peike?
SPEAKER_08I think Pake is just went. Yeah.
SPEAKER_03Yeah. Okay. It would be me. Uh lucky number 18.
SPEAKER_01Jerry, there is no lucky numbers in this.
SPEAKER_08I agree. Most of these have been incredibly unlucky.
SPEAKER_06I don't know. I've been I found most of them to be not too bad.
SPEAKER_01Okay. Wealth, ambition, and strategy collide between two powerful men.
SPEAKER_06Jeez, these clues are all so vague. They all could be like 50 different shows.
SPEAKER_01Really?
SPEAKER_06Mm-hmm.
SPEAKER_01I had to make them more vague because they the what I was using as a couple of things.
SPEAKER_08Because otherwise we would get the answers.
SPEAKER_01Yes.
SPEAKER_08You don't want us to get them.
SPEAKER_01I wrote the clues and then I asked Chat GPT to make them even more vague.
SPEAKER_08Yes.
SPEAKER_06Yeah, because a TV show with a cast.
SPEAKER_08Characters have character arcs.
SPEAKER_01No.
SPEAKER_08Can you repeat that? Characters have character arcs. No!
SPEAKER_01Oh my god, Joe. I'm so glad that you said that because I was gonna say that. I was, I was gonna say it. Because I I mean Jerry walked right into it. I had to. Okay. Wealth, ambition, and strategy collide between two powerful men.
SPEAKER_04I got I have to guess on this one because I don't got a clue.
SPEAKER_01Alright, let's see what you put. Uh Pake and Jerry put succession. Jeff put face off. The answer was actually billions.
SPEAKER_04Oh. So nobody. So does Daphne get a point on that one?
SPEAKER_01Yep.
SPEAKER_08Daphne gets a point.
SPEAKER_01Yep, I get a point. I get all the points. Okay. Um Jerry, I think it's your turn.
SPEAKER_06Wasn't that Jerry's? Okay, Jeff.
SPEAKER_01I keep like wanting to give Jerry extra turns and no turns for Jeff. What are you doing?
SPEAKER_06He's telling you what number he wants. Number one. I want one.
SPEAKER_01Power, ambition, and betrayal collide within a family-run music business.
SPEAKER_08This feels like a critically acclaimed show that I have never seen.
SPEAKER_06I feel like I should know this one. I like I have the name of a show in my brain, but I have a show in my brain, but the name is not connecting.
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_08I don't think this show has anything to do with the music business, but I'm going with it anyways, because maybe it does, because I've never seen it.
SPEAKER_01Okay. Okay. Are we ready? Let's see what we Oh no. Peg, are you ready now?
SPEAKER_06I don't think it's gonna.
SPEAKER_01Okay. Let's see what you put.
SPEAKER_06That's what it is, Jerry. I just said T.I. was in it because that's all I can remember.
SPEAKER_01Jeff was shameless. Jerry put Empire, Peggy put T.I. was in it.
SPEAKER_06So I knew what show it was, I just didn't have the name, but I knew what show.
SPEAKER_01Uh-huh. If I could have crawled inside your brain and looked around, it would have been in there.
SPEAKER_06It's in there somewhere.
SPEAKER_01Okay.
SPEAKER_08But Empire's the show that starred Juicy Smolier, right? The French actor?
SPEAKER_01Yep. And Terrence Howard was also in it.
SPEAKER_05That just like phoom ran right.
SPEAKER_01No, I know who he is. He was in trouble for telling stories. Terrence Howard? No.
SPEAKER_04Well, him too, but.
SPEAKER_01Okay.
SPEAKER_06Was T I in, or was I thinking of Terrence Howard? That's probably what I was thinking of. I was picturing Terrence Howard. His T.
SPEAKER_01Okay, we only have a few left. I think two rounds. Um the scores are Jerry and Pake with seven. Jeff has four. Yay! Okay. Pake.
SPEAKER_06Fourteen. Which I think Terrence Howard kind of went off the deep end a little bit too, didn't he? Kind of. Yes.
SPEAKER_01A wealthy media family fights over who will take control.
SPEAKER_06Making all the noise.
unknownOkay.
SPEAKER_06For emphasis.
SPEAKER_01Okay. Are you ready, Jerry?
SPEAKER_02Yes.
SPEAKER_01Let's reveal. Okay. Peg says, now that's succession. Jerry puts succession with Sarah Snook with a heart, which I'm surprised you didn't write some odd reason.
SPEAKER_02I didn't have time to.
SPEAKER_01Jeff put shameless, which is another type of battle over power and control, but no wealth.
SPEAKER_06I think the last three have been the exact same prompt with the last one.
SPEAKER_08They really have. I just kept it a shameless because I'm like, that's basically the same thing, except instead of music, it's you know something else.
SPEAKER_01You know what? I read.
SPEAKER_08I've learned there's just way too many shows about family dying for power. Family battles over being the head of a mafia family. A family battles over being the head be running a funeral home. Family battles.
SPEAKER_01Jerry uh Jeff. A wealthy media family in no way.
SPEAKER_08I never saw the show. I don't know any of these shows. I just know their names. I don't know anything about them.
SPEAKER_01Okay. Okay.
SPEAKER_06He's very just like surface level, like that way. He he learns their name, but then nothing past that. He doesn't get to know them personally.
SPEAKER_08I don't care who they are as a television show. I'm not interested in their personality.
SPEAKER_01Okay. Alright. Okay. Alright. Jerry.
SPEAKER_04Lucky number nine.
SPEAKER_01A vampire seeks redemption by helping others in a big city. I'm really glad I took some of the ones off that were really, really hard. Because I did. I took off some that were super hard. Jeff, it's not shameless.
SPEAKER_08This one's not shameless.
SPEAKER_01No, it's not shameless.
SPEAKER_08William H. Macy wasn't a vampire?
SPEAKER_01No. You know he's in the show, but you don't I do.
SPEAKER_08I know he's in the show, yes.
SPEAKER_01And uh have you seen like pictures from the from it? Does he look like a wealthy meth addict or something? Yeah. Does he look like a wealthy billionaire of any kind? No.
SPEAKER_08No. Lots of wealthy people do drugs.
unknownYeah.
SPEAKER_08That is true.
SPEAKER_01Lots of people do meth. Stephanie, can you repeat that one more time, please? A vampire seeks redemption by helping others in a big city.
SPEAKER_08I don't even know if this is a television show.
SPEAKER_01Let me see if I have a better clue. A troubled figure tries to make up for a dock pass by helping others.
SPEAKER_08That is the vaguest clue I have ever heard.
SPEAKER_01I know.
SPEAKER_06I've never heard of this show in my life, I don't think.
SPEAKER_01Oh, I think you probably have.
SPEAKER_06But I have a title for it.
SPEAKER_01You too. I can't wait.
SPEAKER_06Okay.
SPEAKER_01Okay, let's take a look.
SPEAKER_06Because if this isn't the title of it, it should be.
SPEAKER_04Okay, I'm thinking this is what it is, but I could be wrong.
SPEAKER_01Okay, let's take a look. Okay. Jeff put blade. Peg put fangs with I love the little details. Yep. Jerry has the right answer with Angel.
SPEAKER_06Yeah. Never, never watched that in my life.
SPEAKER_01It's a Buffy spinoff.
SPEAKER_06I know, but yeah. Which I also never watched.
SPEAKER_08Never watched Buffy either. Yep.
SPEAKER_04For some reason I really like Buffy.
SPEAKER_01Uh-huh. I think it's because it was a bit witchy.
SPEAKER_04No, there's other there's other reasons. Odd reasons, even. Other odd reasons. Okay.
SPEAKER_01Okay, Jeff, I'm not skipping you this time.
SPEAKER_08Thank you so much. I would like to take a number two. Um we can we can we can pause and like sit here.
SPEAKER_01Okay. Um, a brilliant detective solves crimes while battling obsessive habits.
SPEAKER_02Alright.
SPEAKER_01Okay, let's go ahead and take a look at what you've put.
SPEAKER_02Mm-hmm.
SPEAKER_01Pake, Jeff, and Jerry all put Monk. Get the Tony Show. Lube, I'm ready.
SPEAKER_08I also wrote down Bones Castle and Numbers.
SPEAKER_04See, I know it. It's monk.
SPEAKER_06Yeah. Or even psych could kind of work.
SPEAKER_08Psych, yeah. Yes. House works in the sense of him figuring things out. Yeah.
SPEAKER_01Okay.
SPEAKER_06I think we're down to I should have put the Tony Shaloub joke at the front before revealing Monk as the answer. Yes.
SPEAKER_01I should have, but I didn't see it on your screen until after.
SPEAKER_08Well, it's because of Hitpaik's green screen. It disappears his etch a sketch most of the time.
SPEAKER_01It really does. You've gotten really good at filling that etchketch out.
SPEAKER_06Quick fingers.
SPEAKER_01So fast.
SPEAKER_06And it's shalubed up.
SPEAKER_01Okay. Jerry is just appalled. Jerry, you should know by now. Come on. Be real.
SPEAKER_08Yeah, be real, Jerry. Don't be fake. Be real.
SPEAKER_01Okay. We're closing in. There are four left.
SPEAKER_06I have five left.
SPEAKER_08I also have five left.
SPEAKER_01Let's see. Oh, let's see. Oh, wait. I gotta cross that.
SPEAKER_08Four, six, ten, twelve, and fifteen. That's what I got.
SPEAKER_01Okay. Okay.
SPEAKER_03Me too.
SPEAKER_01Alright.
SPEAKER_06I don't know whose turn it was. Is it mine? It's yours. Yeah, it's yours. Fifteen.
SPEAKER_01A hit man unexpectedly pursues a completely different career. A hit man unexpectedly pursues a completely different career.
SPEAKER_06Shameless.
SPEAKER_01Uh Jeff, just to throw this out there to you, shameless is not on here.
SPEAKER_06Mm-hmm.
SPEAKER_01Just so you know.
SPEAKER_06He says as he's erasing the board.
SPEAKER_05Yeah, of course not. I would never guess that again.
SPEAKER_01Uh-huh. Okay. Let's uh go ahead and reveal your answers.
SPEAKER_06I don't believe this is a television show, but.
SPEAKER_08Hang on.
SPEAKER_06I think I got it. And I it's been on my two-watch list for way too long, and I need to do it.
SPEAKER_04That's all I got.
SPEAKER_01Peg put Barry. Fuck! Jerry put hit, which I've never heard of. And Born is not a TV show, but that's a really good guess, Jeff.
SPEAKER_08He does unexpectedly start a new career.
SPEAKER_01Yes. Okay, Jerry. Now I'm mad. Now I'm mad.
SPEAKER_06You didn't say if it was correct.
SPEAKER_01Oh yeah, Barry is correct.
SPEAKER_06Good. Okay. I just want to make sure.
SPEAKER_04Well, once I saw Barry, I knew I said, God, I totally I know the premise of the show.
SPEAKER_06I think I've watched the first like two episodes, and then I just like didn't keep up, and I need to go back and just start it over and watch it. I think I've heard of the show.
SPEAKER_01Didn't Henry Winkler he Henry Winkler Winkler and um Bill Hayter. Yeah. It had critical acclaim, like it got love.
SPEAKER_04Lucky number six.
SPEAKER_01Number six. Warriors seek power, land, and legacy across distant shores. And I have seen this.
SPEAKER_08Warriors come out and play yay.
SPEAKER_01Oh man. Could we cover Warriors on Run for Your Lives?
SPEAKER_04Well, they do run for their lives.
SPEAKER_01I just feel like it would be a good one. Maybe. I don't think Peg has seen it, and I think it's one he needs to see. Okay. Let's see what we've put. Jeff has put Vikings.
SPEAKER_08Oh, jeez, Peggy. Nice.
SPEAKER_01That is very, very Viking-like. That is really good. Um, and Jerry, for some odd reason, likes Vikings. Vikings is the correct answer.
SPEAKER_04To give you guys Kelly R Kelly Riley's in that one, too.
SPEAKER_01No, no, she is not in that one. No. She's in a bunch of shows, though.
SPEAKER_08Jerry just likes the helmets. They make him horny. So just don't even laugh at that one. That was terrible. It was stupid.
SPEAKER_01Just to catch you up, Jerry and Peike are tied at 10 apiece. Jeff has five. Yes! We have a couple left.
SPEAKER_06A couple couple. Really.
SPEAKER_01A couple couple.
SPEAKER_06A thruple, if you will. Well, I have four left. Did I forget to erase something?
SPEAKER_08Yes, you did.
SPEAKER_04You should have four, ten, and twelve left.
SPEAKER_06Oh, somebody could grab six. Okay.
SPEAKER_08Yes, Jerry just did.
SPEAKER_01Alright, Jeff.
SPEAKER_08Four.
SPEAKER_01A mischievous god meddles with timelines and larger forces. Okay. Alright, is everyone ready?
SPEAKER_06I think so. Yes.
SPEAKER_01Let's reveal. Aww and Jeff is now drawing. Good job. Jeff. You know what's good about that? That's kind of I think you're trying to match something there.
SPEAKER_08I'm going with similar to the uh the logo of the show. Which Yeah.
SPEAKER_01Uh all three of you put Loki. Loki is the correct answer. We have two left. And I have a crying cat. Come on.
SPEAKER_05What show is that? Crying cat. Crying cat. Alf.
SPEAKER_07Oh my god.
SPEAKER_01Okay, Peike. I know you're proud of yourself of that one.
SPEAKER_08I'm proud of him too.
SPEAKER_06Thanks, Papa.
SPEAKER_01Okay. Peak.
SPEAKER_05Twelve.
SPEAKER_04Sister. Did he just go?
SPEAKER_01No, that was Jeff.
SPEAKER_04Oh, that was Jeff, okay.
SPEAKER_01Sisters discover they have special powers and a shared destiny.
SPEAKER_08Oh god. I should know this one immediately, and I can't think of it.
SPEAKER_01And if I have to have a tiebreaker, I have a whole bunch. Sisters discover they have special powers and a shared destiny.
SPEAKER_08I have nothing. I can't come up with it.
SPEAKER_01Okay, let's go ahead and see what you have put. Except Jerry is writing a monologue. These are one-word titles, Jerry. Okay.
SPEAKER_08Not the way he does it.
SPEAKER_01Alright. Okay, let's take a look and see what you have put.
SPEAKER_05Oh.
SPEAKER_01Pank put Bewitched. Jerry put charge. Many reasons. And Jeff had no answer. Jerry has gone into the lead.
SPEAKER_08Yeah.
SPEAKER_06I got the two confused.
SPEAKER_08Yeah, Bewitched did not have a sister. It had a mother.
unknownOh.
SPEAKER_04It also had a sister. Serena.
SPEAKER_08Serena. I don't remember. It's been many, many years since I saw Bewitched.
SPEAKER_04Yeah, but Charmed had so many reasons to watch.
SPEAKER_08I'm sure.
SPEAKER_04I'll take the last one.
SPEAKER_01The last one is a high-ranking political figure struggles to maintain control amid constant chaos.
SPEAKER_08No idea if this is right, but it seems like a good answer.
unknownAlright.
SPEAKER_06I think we I'm writing one, but we might have already done this one, and I've just forgotten.
SPEAKER_01Okay, let's take a look at what you have. Okay. Uh Jeff put VEP, which is correct.
SPEAKER_08Yay! I actually got one.
SPEAKER_01Peg, we did scandal earlier. Yes, we did. And Jerry put power. So the winner by one is Jerry with 12 points. Peak had 11. Jeff ended up with seven. Yay! Yay! And I think I'll bring this back, but with different parameters. I'll tell you exactly what the name of the show is, and you can write the vague synopsis instead. And I'll pick which one I like the best.
SPEAKER_07I like that idea.
SPEAKER_01Isn't that good?
SPEAKER_07That actually is a really good idea.
SPEAKER_01I'm gonna write that so I don't forget.
SPEAKER_04Forget what?
SPEAKER_06Almost like the describe a movie plot poorly. Yes.
SPEAKER_01Yeah. I think it I think it could be fun, right?
SPEAKER_08A girl kills a woman, then teams up with strangers to kill her sister.
SPEAKER_04Yes.
SPEAKER_01Um well thank you for playing my game. I hope that it didn't give you mild discomfort.
SPEAKER_02Oh, only a little bit of a few.
SPEAKER_01Even though last week I'm pretty I'm pretty sure I wanted you to have discomfort.
SPEAKER_02Yes.
SPEAKER_01Yes, Jerry, what do you have for us? Do we have feedback?
SPEAKER_04We have one piece of feedback, at least that's what I could see so far.
SPEAKER_01Okay.
SPEAKER_04I I'd forgotten to check prior to the show, and I just remembered I picked up my phone. First one I jumped on. Levi has left feedback. On episode 91, pick a pick a pigs.
SPEAKER_01Really?
SPEAKER_04I I like that title, Pick a Pick a Pakes. Yes.
unknownOkay.
SPEAKER_04Levi writes, gee, I wonder who's gonna whose ego is gonna get inflated here. Daphne is the greatest all in all caps with like seven exclamation points. Sincerely, everyone watching Kaiju Rambles.
SPEAKER_01I think we read that one last week.
SPEAKER_04No. Did we?
SPEAKER_01Yeah. Maybe. I think we did. But I am never forgotten it.
SPEAKER_08Daphne is very happy to listen to the video.
SPEAKER_06But Daphne's like, but you know what? We can include that as a segment every single episode from now on. Just reading that exact piece of feedback every single day.
SPEAKER_01I'm happy for you to read that over and over. It makes me so pleased with it.
SPEAKER_08Um now, Daphne, why did Levi put their Venmo address at the bottom of the comment?
SPEAKER_01Well, you know, stuff and things. And if you like what you've heard, you can find us on Facebook and Instagram at Buffalo Buffalo Podcast or at our website Buffalo BuffaloPodcast.com. We have been Buffalo Buffalo. Jerry will be with us next week to bring us whatever game him and the Salem cat are coming up with. Until next time.
SPEAKER_06Side effects of Redonov may include nausea, headaches, dizziness, rapid hair growth, and temporary belief the pigeons are judging you.
SPEAKER_00It's buffalo, buffalo, buffalo, buffalo, yeah.
SPEAKER_04Pigeons are judgmental assholes. Bye sign.
