Coming to you live from Truk Norris Twisted Eats in Ellisville, Missouri, it's Buffalo Buffalo.
SPEAKER_00It's Buffalo, Buffalo, Buffalo, Buffalo, yeah.
SPEAKER_03Welcome to Buffalo Buffalo. My name is Jerry, and once again, they're here. It's Stephanie, Peike, and Jeff.
SPEAKER_06You don't seem very excited. So I'm so happy about that.
SPEAKER_03Well, we are recording a day early because Pike has a concert to uh play, attend, I'll be sure. Both. Pake's got a concert. Come and see him.
SPEAKER_06Yeah.
SPEAKER_03Yeah.
SPEAKER_06But playing and attending. I'm playing. I'll be on stage and then I'll run down and try to catch myself for a little bit. It's tough.
SPEAKER_03You have to run really fast when you do that. So how is everybody today?
SPEAKER_04Oh, I'm doing alright. It's uh we're we're in deep in allergy season now, so that's that's fun. It's kind of that lovely balancing act between, you know, do I open my window and suffer or keep my window closed and suffer?
SPEAKER_01So those are two great options, Jeff.
SPEAKER_06I I'm good. I came straight from a friend's birthday dinner at BJ's to be here, so I'm full of steak and zuokie.
SPEAKER_01That's great. Well, I registered my car today. I registered my car today.
SPEAKER_04Yeah. And what what what party did it register as?
SPEAKER_01It is uh a registered independent.
SPEAKER_04Okay, nice.
SPEAKER_01Yep. Very proud.
SPEAKER_04So your car votes on the issues, not not based on party lines. That's that's nice figure.
SPEAKER_06Green party. Her car's a huge fan of Jill Stein.
SPEAKER_04Is Jill Stein still running? I don't think so. I had no idea for Green Party now. But yeah. Oh my gosh. Anyways. Yes. Daphne's car is now registered.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, as much as as uh, and I didn't know, it's like, would it register to get a uh uh sunroof? Is it permitted you get that sunroof exemption?
SPEAKER_04Jerry is fascinated with the sunroof. It's like every time you talk about your car, he asks about the sunroof.
SPEAKER_01Well, I'll tell you. If you guys come to Maine, you can ride in my car and we'll open the sunroof so you can see that it's there.
SPEAKER_02Wow. Excellent.
SPEAKER_01Yeah. I found the other day when I was driving, I found the button to open it.
SPEAKER_04Nice. It's under the sun when you want to open it. It's really a weird place for it. Yeah.
SPEAKER_01No, it's not. It's up with the lights, and so I was trying to turn the the light in the car on so I could find something, and it just went.
SPEAKER_04Yep.
SPEAKER_01I was like, okay. Um it's a little too cold for that still here. It's not uh it's definitely not summer yet.
SPEAKER_06So put those tires away. Yep.
SPEAKER_01I have to do that by the end of the month. I have to go and have those swapped out because you can only have studded tires through the end of April, and then they have to because after April, the tire breeding season is done.
SPEAKER_04Right. Right. You let the tires go out to stud. It's nice of you. Create some baby tires.
SPEAKER_02Yeah.
SPEAKER_04It's where they get the the wheels for hot wheels and matchbox tires. Is from the studded tires.
SPEAKER_06Yes. It's a whole industry. Tire farms are the rage right now.
SPEAKER_01Uh-huh. How do you how else do you expect me to pay my car payment? Like, I have to do this.
SPEAKER_05We gotta get those stud fees. Yeah.
SPEAKER_01I've never had a car that had studded tires. I've never had an all-wheel drive car. I've never had a car with a sunroof or heated seats or a backup camera or Bluetooth. Like I living in a computer generated car, it feels like.
SPEAKER_04It's computer generated. It's not actually there.
SPEAKER_03It's an AI car. She has a she has Future Shuck.
SPEAKER_04Yeah.
SPEAKER_01Um, yeah. I mean, I'm sure there are lots of other newer bells and whistles that people have now that I'll get on my next car type.
SPEAKER_06Literal bells and whistles, I've I've seen. Yeah. Yeah.
SPEAKER_01I was just happy, I will tell you this. I was just happy that when I went to the city hall to register my car, that they didn't say, and now you must go down to the DMV because I did not want to go down there at all. Oh god. And I know that there are like situations where that's what you have to do. Now, if I wasn't transferring my plates over, I would have had to go to the DMV.
SPEAKER_04If you needed to get new new plates, or I'm just like, nope, these ones. It's been a while since I've been at the DMV.
SPEAKER_01But they're cool on this car because I'm not not doing that.
SPEAKER_03So yeah, one thing I will give our California DMV, they allow you to make a make appointments and you get through a bit faster.
SPEAKER_01Oh yeah.
SPEAKER_04Uh we can it only takes three hours instead of four. It's really helpful.
SPEAKER_01We can do that here. And if I knew I was buying a car and I needed to get plates, I would have to schedule my appointment three months prior. Like I'd have to schedule it like in December for an April appointment. Yeah, that's what you have to do. Because I I went to get my driver's license replaced and it they had a three-month wait. And so I had to actually go and sit there.
SPEAKER_04For three months. Wow.
SPEAKER_02Oh my god.
SPEAKER_04Yeah, wow.
SPEAKER_03You walked right into that one.
SPEAKER_04I love it. You literally said that. You literally said it's a three-month wait, and so I had to sit there.
unknownI know.
SPEAKER_04Like there wasn't any misunderstanding there. That's what I'm saying.
SPEAKER_01No, no. Oh no. I know.
SPEAKER_04Yeah.
SPEAKER_01The fact that you all responded immediately.
SPEAKER_05Immediately, yeah.
SPEAKER_01Oh my god. Yeah, and that's how it is here at Buffalo Buffalo.
SPEAKER_06In Maine? You've got to get a better system than that. People have got stuff to do. You can't be sitting in a waiting room for three months. Are there like tents and stuff set up?
SPEAKER_01No, but we have a Walgreens. There's a Walgreens next door, so I can go over and get like snacks if I need to.
SPEAKER_06Nice. Live off of Pringles for three months.
SPEAKER_01Yep. Energy bars, um, you know, monster drinks. Because you have to stay awake. Like you can't go to sleep because they might call your number.
SPEAKER_06Yeah. Right.
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_06I'm so Because it's not like in any like in order like kind of thing. They just pick a number. It's actually they do like with a bingo ball like rolling. It's got all the different numbers in it. So you never know when yours is coming up.
SPEAKER_04Honestly, it's can be difficult. I don't know how it is in Maine or Texas, but in California, it's like it's all based on like what window you're going to. Each window has its own letter. And so you get something like you know G40, and you go, oh, they're on, you know, G38. Well, that's great. But the next 75 ones that they're calling are not G's. Yeah. You know?
SPEAKER_06Somebody's had to have yelled out bingo in that place at some point. They're calling numbers.
SPEAKER_01When I went to Walgreens to get snacks.
SPEAKER_04I have no idea when that is, but I will I will do that.
SPEAKER_01When I went to Walgreens to get snacks, the people that were ahead of me, I just said, do not let them move past my number. I'm literally going to Walgreens to get something so I don't pass out from hunger.
unknownYeah.
SPEAKER_06Because if they call my number and I'm not here, stall. Fight somebody. I don't know. Start a fire. I don't know.
SPEAKER_01I mean, I was there not for three months. Really, I was there for like four hours. And you're basically friends with the people that are there, and you're happy when they get called up. You're just like, we're one step closer.
SPEAKER_06Price is right where everybody come on down. They finally moved on to the other side.
SPEAKER_01It's solidarity. Like, it's like, okay, yes, I get it. People there feel your pain of waiting.
SPEAKER_05Oh my gosh.
SPEAKER_01And so I was there and I got my driver's license renewed, and they're like, Well, would you like the real ID?
SPEAKER_04And I'm like, uh You do need it.
SPEAKER_01No, I don't. I have a passport.
SPEAKER_04Oh, you've got a passport. That's right. You need it's real ID or passport. Yeah.
SPEAKER_01Right. But I did get the I did get it because I thought I'm already here and I'm not coming back here to wait for four hours or months.
SPEAKER_06So no, we're gonna do this now. Pulled at random, so you never know how long it's gonna be.
SPEAKER_01Nope. It's like it's like a big Home Depot where people are wandering and yelling to try to get someone to help them and nobody comes. And then you think here's the thing too. You get you know you're close, and the window's gonna call you, and they go to lunch.
SPEAKER_04Yep. And there's nobody who comes to that window to replace them. It's just like they'll be back.
SPEAKER_01It's like, okay.
SPEAKER_06Um unlike a Home Depot, they don't have a hot dog cart in the parking lot because that would make it unfortunately easier.
SPEAKER_01They really should get a food truck there.
SPEAKER_04They really should. I mean, people would like legitimately you could clean up. Yeah.
unknownYeah.
SPEAKER_04If they did a rotating food truck thing where it was like, you know, whatever, five different trucks, you know, that came in once a week kind of thing. Yes. Like so awesome.
SPEAKER_01Think of worker burnout and appreciation. Like, people would be happy. The people that work there would be excited to go get a burrito or a corndog or whatever. Like they could go, look, they could bring in ice cream on Fridays. I mean, people would be so happy for that.
SPEAKER_04Be like, I get to go to the DMV.
SPEAKER_01No, no one has ever said that. I can't imagine.
SPEAKER_04They had ice cream there. Mom, can we go to the DMV for ice cream?
SPEAKER_01Yeah, these are the same parents who can't stand it when the ice cream truck drives around and you hear it, and they're just like, I don't want my kids to hear it. They're gonna watch it.
SPEAKER_04I have heard so many stories from people who are like, yeah, my parents taught me that when the ice cream truck plays music, that means it's out of ice cream.
SPEAKER_01Yeah. I mean not falling for that foolishness.
SPEAKER_04My nieces, but fall for that.
SPEAKER_01Oh my gosh.
SPEAKER_04When you're three and you actually believe that your parents know how the world works, you know, they would never lure me astray with lies.
SPEAKER_03Or your parents own a grocery store with a box of uh with an entire freezer box full of ice cream. So that point that matters rendered pointless.
SPEAKER_02Yep.
SPEAKER_06But it's more fun. No, you can't have the truck, Jerry. We have ice cream at work.
SPEAKER_01But it's more fun. Tell me, am I wrong? It's more fun when it comes from the ice cream truck.
SPEAKER_03Absolutely. Yep. Well, one thing, uh, one thing I do remember getting off, you know, the the the times, you know, my mother told me, if you want something off that ice cream truck, you know, you pay for it yourself.
unknownYeah.
SPEAKER_03That's that's perfectly fair. No, I I had I had to work and then salary. Yeah. I had salary.
SPEAKER_01So you had salary? Jerry, celery's not ice cream.
SPEAKER_04No, so he got paid in salary. Salary. Yes.
SPEAKER_01Okay. I don't think that the ice cream truck would accept celery as payment.
SPEAKER_04I don't know. The celery truck would. Maybe.
SPEAKER_06I don't know.
SPEAKER_04We already know that makes no sense. We already have that. We don't need more.
SPEAKER_06You might be able to pay them in peanut butter.
SPEAKER_03Yeah. There you go. Oh gosh. Have you ever had fresh ground peanut butter?
SPEAKER_06Yes.
SPEAKER_03Oh, that's good.
SPEAKER_06Just picked it up right off the ground.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, pick it up right off the ground, yes.
SPEAKER_01Um yeah. Okay.
SPEAKER_06First time I ever had Lucas brand like anything was on an ice cream truck.
SPEAKER_01Lucas. Well, let me tell you, Lucas here is a tree removal company, and I don't think they make ice cream.
SPEAKER_06Yeah, yeah. They I they had ice cream with bark. It was great.
SPEAKER_04Lucas here is the guy who made Star Wars.
SPEAKER_06No, it's it's like like Chamoi, the the like kind of like tamarindy, chili, spicy like stuff you put on candy. They had like ice cream that had that in it. It's like tahine. Yeah, it's very tahine-like.
SPEAKER_04I've never heard of it.
SPEAKER_06But they make a lot of candies that are coated in stuff, is Lucas.
SPEAKER_04Yeah. Oh, okay. Okay. I probably have seen them. I always go past that section where I'm just like I I don't want things covered in tahine and chamois.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, it's a little yeah, this is uh this is my uh vitamin supplement bottle, but it's about uh a little can about yay big. A little yellow can.
SPEAKER_06So chamoy peach rings are a great, great thing, great in invention.
SPEAKER_04You know what? If somebody has them and offers me one, I will absolutely have it. But I'm not going to buy a bag of them.
SPEAKER_06Alright, we'll you know you're coming, you're coming to Fort Worth. I am at the end of this year. We can buy them at Bucky's, they got Chamoy gummy bears and chamoy peach rings. We'll have to we'll have to do that. Okay. All right.
SPEAKER_04Sounds good.
SPEAKER_03Yeah. So uh when are you all you're going to Fort Worth at the end of the year for a music? October. October. Yeah, and I and I sadly am not going.
SPEAKER_05Sorry. No. There's still time.
SPEAKER_01No, and Jerry, you know what? I was thinking about that. And I was thinking about the fact that Jerry may not like the music that the bands play.
SPEAKER_04Oh, he definitely would not like the music.
SPEAKER_01But you could always come over. I mean, because the festival's one day, right? Like it's it's that Saturday. We've talked about we're gonna go early and like have like a long weeks there. Yeah, yeah, we are. Um Jerry, you can always come over and hang out with us, you know. I probably could. You could. Yeah.
SPEAKER_03And that's in Colorado? Yeah, Colorado Fort. I'm sorry, my brain's at Fort Collins.
SPEAKER_01Fort Collins. No, Fort Worth.
SPEAKER_04Fort Lauderdale, Texas?
SPEAKER_01Yeah. This this I know that you always say to me when I say, well, this is going off the rails, that when is it not going off the rails? But for some reason, I feel like it is especially going way off tonight.
SPEAKER_03Statement before recording definitely made me go off the rails.
SPEAKER_01What was that about, Jerry? What was that about?
SPEAKER_06We will not speak of that one.
SPEAKER_03We will not speak of that.
SPEAKER_04It's too hard to bring that back in without it just sounding yeah.
SPEAKER_01It's it's ridiculous.
SPEAKER_04The moment passed.
SPEAKER_01I know. It's too bad. Um, I was just looking through our text message thread to see if there was anything ridiculous that happened over the past week.
SPEAKER_04No, never. It's been very quiet and very normal. Yeah.
SPEAKER_01Uh-huh. Oh, yeah. Jerry asked me when I said I registered my car. He said, Why did you turn it into a cash register? I didn't know cash registers could have summer tires.
SPEAKER_04Which is such a stretch. I know. It is. So I just had to save it and bring it back to like reality with the register to vote. Yeah.
SPEAKER_06Yeah. And I said Jerry Jerry tries a lot of the like, I misheard something, but it doesn't work as well when it's over text. Because like when you like the concert you mentioned I'm going to was like, yeah, Pake's going to go see the floor mat. And he's like, why is he going to get floor mats? And I want to respond, like, Jerry, is that the word she typed? Because you can see it right there.
SPEAKER_01Like And I said, Jerry.
SPEAKER_04Let little things like details get in the way of the comments.
SPEAKER_01No, he doesn't. And I just with that, I and now I try to come up with something like smart alechie or whatever to say because it's like fluomance. How do you even no, it's because I need them for my car. They didn't come with them, and I only trust Peg to uh to pick them out for me. And so he's taking care of that tomorrow.
unknownYeah.
SPEAKER_04Well, very thoughtful of you, Peg. Yeah. Yeah.
SPEAKER_01It is. I really need someone to know. I need to have someone I can trust when it comes to you know car things because I'm I'm a woman. And everyone knows that women don't know anything about cars.
SPEAKER_03Oh my god. No.
SPEAKER_01Please tell me.
SPEAKER_03No, no. I I disagree with that statement, but I I understand the sarcasm.
SPEAKER_04Well, so does Marissa Tomei.
SPEAKER_03Yeah.
SPEAKER_04When I bought- I've watched that recently, the the Marissa Tomei, my cousin Vinny scene. Oh, I love that scene. It's like I just have to watch this again. I just love it.
SPEAKER_01It's a work of art.
SPEAKER_03It's a work of art. What, the the scene or Marissa Tomei?
unknownThe scene is.
SPEAKER_03I mean porque no los dos. Yeah.
SPEAKER_02Oh my god. Okay.
SPEAKER_03Okay. I will have two quick mentions and then we'll get to the game if that's okay. Sure. My my one pic the first picture was Desmond. My the new kitty I will be bringing home this Saturday.
SPEAKER_04Congratulations.
SPEAKER_03Desmond is a very sweet boy.
SPEAKER_01Now, would you explain to the class why his name is Desmond? Because it's kind of interesting.
unknownYeah.
SPEAKER_03No, because his last name, you know, they they gave him a name of surname.
SPEAKER_06He's a very fancy cat.
SPEAKER_03No, he's he's got a um his initial name at the shelter is Firo Lays.
SPEAKER_06Frito Lays?
SPEAKER_03Yeah, Firo.
SPEAKER_06Fredo Frito Lays.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, Frito Lace. F-I-R-U-L-A-I-S or something like that. And and his uh he's they also have him as is uh aka Tutu, like a T-U-T-U. And I was thinking, well, there's used to be the bishop, the South African bishop named Desmond Tutu.
SPEAKER_06Yeah, that's exactly why I came up with that, too.
SPEAKER_03No, but Desmond is also the name of my favorite lost character.
SPEAKER_04Yes. Yes.
SPEAKER_01That's you know what? When we got Cassidy, her name was Annabelle. And uh we named her Cassidy for multiple reasons. One is because it's Chris's favorite wrestler on AEW is Orange Cassidy, and my favorite character on Preacher is Cassidy. So it's cool to have multiple reasons.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, and then the second picture was from later that day, a much less pleasant subject. Is I filled I filled up my truck with gas.
SPEAKER_04Oh god, yes.
SPEAKER_03And the total on that was uh nearly 17 gallons of gas, but six dollars a gallon almost. The total was$100.85. Yeah.
SPEAKER_04Yeah, it's uh depending where you go here. Um, but uh I mean if you go to just like the Chevron or Shell or whatever, it's like$6.29 right now.
SPEAKER_03So yeah, I saw a Chevron. You know, I usually check a couple, you know, uh when I was coming home, um, I I uh drove by one store that that that uh market had six forty-five, and I said, oh hell no.
SPEAKER_06Nope.
SPEAKER_03So I drove down here and I said, looked at it just under six, I was like, done.
SPEAKER_01So I'm not sure what to do with all the cheap gas.
SPEAKER_06Drink it.
SPEAKER_04Drink all of it. Absolutely, should just drink it. Sounds like a good idea to me.
SPEAKER_03Yeah. And I was gonna say, Daphne, there's probably more people in my county than there are in your entire state.
SPEAKER_04I feel like there's more people in your city than in the entire city.
SPEAKER_01How many people live in your city, Jerry?
SPEAKER_03Uh the entire city. Uh it's like the entire metro area, let's see, about eight hundred thousand?
SPEAKER_01Yeah, we have we have at least twice that, but close.
SPEAKER_03Yeah. Well I'll I'll check it later. So we'll we'll follow up on this. So who is ready for a game?
SPEAKER_01Jerry, I don't know if I'm ready for this game because you have you've not sold it well to us, I don't feel.
SPEAKER_03Nah, it's easy, more or less.
SPEAKER_04Let me see. What was the what was the line that he used? Um my game tonight will either be great or flictionary level bad. It's a 50-50.
SPEAKER_01Yeah. Yeah.
SPEAKER_04Yes.
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_04So I am so looking forward to this, even if it's ter honestly, especially if it's terrible.
SPEAKER_03No, well, it's it's it is some, you know, there are some stupid hard uh clues in here. But I was when I was developing our uh plans that we're gonna turn into the state in a couple weeks.
SPEAKER_06For this date? For this podcast?
SPEAKER_03Oh wow.
SPEAKER_01The state is reviewing it, Paige.
SPEAKER_06Oh no.
SPEAKER_01The state of California is going to be reviewing our games in the future, like all of our future games. So we have to be like more prepared. Yeah. They've taken an active interest in our podcast.
SPEAKER_04Governor Newsom, please keep up the trolling.
SPEAKER_01You know he is, right?
SPEAKER_03Yeah. Okay, but because of like uh uh concerns for space uh on the page, and so we abbreviate a lot of stuff. So we have you know just all these all these abbreviations and uh all the abbreviations are on the call-outs, and then there says abbreviations in the upper left-hand corner. We are going to play abbreviations.
SPEAKER_01Great.
SPEAKER_02Oh god.
SPEAKER_03Oh god.
SPEAKER_01Um and we need to have our whiteboards, right?
SPEAKER_03Uh for steals, yes.
SPEAKER_01So Okay, so I need to get something to wipe my whiteboard off with because I didn't come prepared. So give me just a moment.
SPEAKER_03So you were not ready to be ready.
SPEAKER_01I was ready to be ready. Okay.
SPEAKER_03Go ahead. We'll just vamp in the interim.
SPEAKER_04We'll we'll just talk about Daphne while she's gone. Yeah.
SPEAKER_03Yeah.
unknownOkay.
SPEAKER_06And that's what I really think about her. Oh, okay.
SPEAKER_01Yeah. No, I already know what you think about me.
SPEAKER_06Yeah.
SPEAKER_01You can pretend that you like me. I know you don't.
SPEAKER_03Daphne, you're the foundation of this of this podcast. Pake is the mascara of this podcast. I'm just the blush because I you know turn red. True. It's true. So Jeff is the toner? Sure, why not? If if you could see, you know, if the listeners could see the smirk and the um Daphne's face in her disdain. Okay, so uh break out your random number generators, one to sixty-two.
SPEAKER_01Fucking sixty-two, Jerry? Are you serious?
SPEAKER_04I I I cut it down. Oh, I love it. I love it, Jerry.
SPEAKER_01Jerry.
SPEAKER_04I cut it down. It was six hundred and twenty. He cut off the zero. Yeah.
SPEAKER_01No. That is too many to get through.
SPEAKER_03No, no, we're not getting too many to get through. So that's why we're gonna do that.
SPEAKER_01I'm not keeping track, so Okay.
SPEAKER_03I'm keeping track. It's right in front of me.
SPEAKER_06I probably will not have because sometimes I write all the numbers across the top of my board and I can erase them as we do them. I'm not writing down 62 numbers.
SPEAKER_01That takes too much that is too much effort. I am not in the mood for that.
SPEAKER_03Okay, so you may have to write these rules down.
SPEAKER_01So rules?
SPEAKER_03Yes, it's just no no, it's three three rules.
SPEAKER_01Three rules, okay.
SPEAKER_03Okay.
SPEAKER_01So um What are the rules, Jerry?
SPEAKER_03Okay, we are gonna go to twelve points, but Okay. Twelve points, but hold all criticism till the end. I will give you the clue, and if you get it without any help or any assistance, it's two points.
SPEAKER_04Okay.
SPEAKER_03Um if you want a hint, I will give you the classification of what it is, and that'll be take it down to one point, so that might help help a little bit in reducing what you what you think it might be. And if you don't get it then, we it opens up for a half point steal.
SPEAKER_06Got it.
SPEAKER_01Okay, I guess. I don't know.
SPEAKER_06I said I wasn't gonna write down all the numbers, and then I did. Yeah, I also wrote down all of it. They're a lot smaller, but they'll they'll work.
SPEAKER_01Great. I didn't, because I'm just not going to. So let's go.
SPEAKER_04Well, I'm not going to either because I already did.
SPEAKER_06All right, Daphne's starting with 11.
SPEAKER_01No, I am not. I'm taking 13. No, you're not.
SPEAKER_03No. Well, you can't because Daphne's going first. But she wants 11. Yeah. She already said 11, so I did not. So we're going to we are going to go in the order of Daphne, Pake, and Jeff.
SPEAKER_02Wonderful.
SPEAKER_03I'm the caboose. Yeah, so, and if you if there's an issue, this is why I asked about the shirting thing. Um I will write it, I will put the clue on here in just in case you have a problem. So.
unknownAlright?
SPEAKER_03What if the problem is I can't read?
SPEAKER_04Yeah.
SPEAKER_01No, Jeff.
SPEAKER_04Yes. Uh-oh.
SPEAKER_01Okay. Alright, Jerry.
SPEAKER_03So, number 13?
SPEAKER_01Yes.
SPEAKER_03Your clue is USB.
SPEAKER_01USB. Universal. Serial bus? Correct!
SPEAKER_04Yep.
SPEAKER_01Okay.
SPEAKER_04Jerry, do you know and this is a legit question. This is called a bus?
SPEAKER_03It's just a terminology in electronics for like tran a transfer point.
SPEAKER_04Okay. One of those things that I've never bothered to look up. Yeah.
SPEAKER_01You know, people don't really use USB like drives anymore, at least that I see.
SPEAKER_04Not much, not with cloud storage, but you still have USB C for.
SPEAKER_03Yeah. You mean like OneDrive?
SPEAKER_04Exactly. Jerry's favorite.
SPEAKER_01Jerry, I'm so afraid. Can I just tell you that I'm so afraid? I save things on OneDrive, but then I have a second backup of the most important things on my hard drive because I'm afraid.
SPEAKER_04Yeah.
SPEAKER_03Yeah. Well, I put I uh I put my stuff on Dropbox in addition, you know. So that's you know. So and I know they have backups, so yeah. Okay. Uh Pake. 31. Lucky number 31. I forgot lucky number 13. I'm sorry, Daphne. Lucky number 31. I get my my nephew's gonna be yelling at me. Why didn't you say lucky number 13? Okay, your clue is radar.
SPEAKER_06Oh god.
SPEAKER_03Oh gosh.
SPEAKER_06Really awesome dope ass radar.
SPEAKER_03I think he's got it. I think he's got it. No, you don't. Would anyone like a crack answer? That's interesting. I don't know.
SPEAKER_01I couldn't ever come up with anything better than what Bake said. I'm leaving it. I'll I'm yeah, no.
SPEAKER_04I cannot remember it. I I've heard it before, but I don't remember.
SPEAKER_03Okay. So in this case, Jerry gets a point.
SPEAKER_06He just wanted to win one.
SPEAKER_03No, I only get one point per these. So the answer is radio detection and ranging.
SPEAKER_04That's right. Yeah.
SPEAKER_03So uh Jeff. Nineteen. Lucky number nineteen. You USPS.
SPEAKER_04That is uh the United States Postal Service. Correct. Uspus. Exactly.
SPEAKER_03Us pus.
SPEAKER_01It kind of represents how I feel about it sometimes.
SPEAKER_03Us puspigush. Yes. Sorry. That was right there. That will not be the episode title.
SPEAKER_04Oh, why not? If you say that, that makes it the episode title. Okay.
SPEAKER_03Okay. Okay. Until something else comes along. Yeah. Alright. Round one. Fine. Jeff. Jeff and Daphne tied at two. Jerry has one, and Pika has zero. Yes! Alright. Alright. Pake is going for the dirty sweep. Yeah. Alright. Daphne. Lucky number 11. You're serious, right? 11? Okay.
SPEAKER_04She's gonna mute. I I love the fact that I when I edit. See, this is the problem when you do things like nod, then I edit it and I'm like, because it's weeks later, I go, did I miss did Daphne's audio drop out? What happened? I'm not hearing her.
SPEAKER_01I like to keep you on your toes, Jeff.
SPEAKER_03Yes. I appreciate it. Your clue is UPS.

SPEAKER_04I had no idea. Is Changs an out? No, no, no.
SPEAKER_03The PF and PF Chang.
SPEAKER_06Okay. Um practically food. Oh my God.
SPEAKER_01So I think that if these aren't what they are, they should be changed now.
SPEAKER_04Yeah, it would be great if P.F. Chang said that they were practically food.
SPEAKER_06Practically food.
SPEAKER_04Definitely want that.
SPEAKER_01Yep. I think that that should definitely be adjusted to be that. Think of all the problems we can solve with this game.
SPEAKER_06Philadelphia Fridays.
SPEAKER_03I don't know. Okay. All right. Anybody want to have point steel?
SPEAKER_01No, I can't outdo practically food. Like I feel like that's the best answer. Why would I want to change it? No.
SPEAKER_03Okay. PF Changs stands for Paul Fleming's Changs.
SPEAKER_01Oh, interesting. Okay. All right. Okay.
SPEAKER_04Jeff. Uh 42. Lucky number 42.

SPEAKER_04Jerry doesn't know the answer, he doesn't get a point either.
SPEAKER_03Named after their founders, Dalzi, Hillblom, and Lynn.
SPEAKER_06Should have all known that.
SPEAKER_04Because we all remember the Hillblown family.
SPEAKER_02Yes.
SPEAKER_03Okay. So after three rounds, Daphne's in the lead with six, followed by Jeff with four, Pink with two, and oh, Jerry's it with three. Ooh.

SPEAKER_01I don't know that I remember it. I know it I think it has to do with the computer language, but yeah. Yeah, Jerry. I don't know. I think the first one is probably binary, but outside of that, I don't know. Yeah, I don't know.
SPEAKER_04I would have guessed binary as well. That was the best thing I could come up with, even though I know it has nothing to do with binary. Be a sweetie. Invite Carl. Yep, that's my.
SPEAKER_01You know what? That's what Meat Wad would say. Uh-huh if they were having a party.
SPEAKER_06It just seems like basic, you know, uh Etiquette, right?
SPEAKER_01Etiquette and Etichate, yeah. So, Jerry, enlighten us.
SPEAKER_03It stands for beginner's all-purpose symbolic instruction code. And I've known that since I was 12.
SPEAKER_01That's great that you knew that. If I wanted to put that in my brain, I would have to kick something else out. And I don't think I want to part with any of my wrestling, figure skating, or photography knowledge. So it it doesn't get to go in.
SPEAKER_04Yeah, basic was the first stuff that I learned too.
SPEAKER_01I learned basic programming.
SPEAKER_04I don't know if I'm not.
SPEAKER_06First things I learned as a toddler were pretty basic as well.
SPEAKER_04Yeah.
SPEAKER_02Okay.
SPEAKER_04Honestly, the things I learned as a toddler were mostly acidic. So I don't know.
SPEAKER_02That's oh, I love chemistry jokes.
SPEAKER_03Alright, pick 20. And lucky number 20. Oh shit.
SPEAKER_01You see? He says lucky, and then he looks at it and you and says that, and you instantly know it's gonna either suck or be so easy that you hope you don't fuck it up.
SPEAKER_03Your clue is sonar.
SPEAKER_01Come on. Paik, give us something fun, because I know you want to.
SPEAKER_06It is some some obnoxious noise around the radius. That's it. Kind of.
SPEAKER_03I cannot I cannot give that one to you. Anybody else want to take a crack at it for a half point?
SPEAKER_06It's a character in the game Dispatch. He's pretty cool.
SPEAKER_01I think sound navigation and ranging? Correct! My dad had to have sonar on the boat.
SPEAKER_04I knew I got sound and range, but I was m my brain was stuck on nautical.
SPEAKER_01Yeah. Me too. Yeah. And so I went with navigation because I thought about because my dad's boat broke down once and they were lost at sea until someone went out to find him. And um we had a long dis like this.
SPEAKER_06He had already used his sonar and the dolphins had come for the rescue. So we were good. That's awesome.
SPEAKER_01Uh-huh. Okay, sure. They pulled the boat in and everything.
SPEAKER_02Nice.
SPEAKER_01Okay.
SPEAKER_02Uh Chief.
SPEAKER_01Um 37.

SPEAKER_01You laugh like it's a like it's hilarious.
SPEAKER_03I'm sorry. It's just I I was like, I was thinking in my head, somebody pick five, somebody pick five when I came up with it. Okay.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, you wanted me to pick it, so I'd get it right.
SPEAKER_03I wanted anybody to pick it.
SPEAKER_01Why?
SPEAKER_06Because he's tired, he's not gonna stand for this question anymore.
SPEAKER_01Yes.
SPEAKER_04Taser. I've been waiting for this one. I was hoping to get this one.
SPEAKER_01I have no idea, Jerry, so just Jeff, you go ahead and give it. Since you know. Or if Peg has something clever to say, I'm always down. You got it?
SPEAKER_05Uh-huh.
SPEAKER_01You know the answer, or is this a peg answer?
SPEAKER_05What do you mean? I know exactly what it is. Let's see. Let's see.
SPEAKER_01Take a shot.
SPEAKER_04Take a shot, A Rube. The correct answer looks like it could be a Paik answer.
SPEAKER_01Thomas A. Swift's electric rifle?
SPEAKER_03That is correct.
unknownYep.
SPEAKER_01Fucking A.
SPEAKER_03My favorite Beatles song.
SPEAKER_04Thomas A. Swift, aka Tom Swift, uh was a uh it was a series of books back in like the twenties. And he had an electric rifle. And that's where the the name Taser was taken from those books.

SPEAKER_04That has come up on trivia before. That's how that's how I knew it.
SPEAKER_03Okay. Alright, uh Pink.
SPEAKER_0639.
SPEAKER_03Lucky number 39.
unknownOkay.
SPEAKER_03Your clue is A T and T.
SPEAKER_06All talk and text. Uh it's probably like telecommunications and technology or something like that for the T's, but the A, I'm not sure.
SPEAKER_03None of that.
SPEAKER_04I'm making a guess. Daphne has a lot of things. I am as well. Yes. So this is what I'm going with. Analog telephone and telegram.
SPEAKER_03The correct answer is American telephone and telegraph. Daphne has it right.
SPEAKER_04Telegraph. And right. American, yeah.
SPEAKER_01I do love hearing those words. Daphne has telenovella.
SPEAKER_04Yeah, it's a telenovela. That's right. Okay.
SPEAKER_03Okay, and that was uh Jeff is next, right?
SPEAKER_04I think so, yes.
SPEAKER_03Yes, okay.
SPEAKER_04Oh, let's see. Let's go with 16.
SPEAKER_03Lucky number sixteen. Your clue is Ram.
SPEAKER_04Uh re no, that's ROM. Um sorry, had to almost answered just like instinctively.
SPEAKER_06Um Random access memory? Yep. Correct. Okay. It's always the ones I know are the ones other people get.
SPEAKER_01Well, you should let me pick for you, because then pick me.
SPEAKER_04This has been established that Daphne picks good numbers for you. Yeah?
SPEAKER_03Okay. Well, it'll be you'll have a chance to do that next time. So uh after five rounds, Jeff leads with eight and a half, Daphne with seven, me with four, and Pake with two.
SPEAKER_05Yay! Holding strong.
SPEAKER_01I'll take number seven, Jerry.
SPEAKER_03Lucky number seven. Uh your clue is FHA.
SPEAKER_01Uh farmer's home administration?
unknownHang on.
SPEAKER_03Did I get the wrong meaning? Because I have a different one. Hang on.
SPEAKER_01Or it used to be farmer's home. I think now it's Federal Housing Administration.
SPEAKER_03Correct, yeah.
SPEAKER_01That's the one I had. Because my mom got a loan from them.
SPEAKER_06It's not frequently harassed apricots?
SPEAKER_01No.
SPEAKER_04Oh, apricots. I had apes. Okay.
SPEAKER_03Not 20 points, two points.
unknownWow.
SPEAKER_04That's a 20-point question. The double, double, double, the daily double.
SPEAKER_01Oh, it's too bad we didn't have like a daily double. That would be fun. Maybe I'll do that the next time I do like Buffalo Jeopardy.
unknownCool.
SPEAKER_04Or you can risk a certain amount.
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_04Ooh.
SPEAKER_03Okay.
SPEAKER_01Pink.
SPEAKER_0654.
SPEAKER_03Lucky number 54. Okay. Your clue is URL.
SPEAKER_06You're L too, Jerry. You're quite L as well.
SPEAKER_04I believe it's pronounced Earl.
SPEAKER_01No.
SPEAKER_06Why would I know this? I mean, it seems like something I would have learned in like computer class in junior high.
SPEAKER_01And why would you keep it in the U.S.?
SPEAKER_06I know. Like seven months ago.
SPEAKER_01I feel like they'll pick you up so much other info, like you have to shove something out in order for it to live there.
SPEAKER_04Universal? Trying to see if Jerry will give anything away. Romulan language. Oh yeah, that's it.
SPEAKER_02Yeah.
SPEAKER_03My face gave it away.
SPEAKER_04Now incorrect, I believe, Jerry, that is upright left.
SPEAKER_03No, uh the Daphne has it right again. Uniform resource locator.
SPEAKER_06I did not know that. So it originally, so fun fact, the URL, they started letting other websites and services use it, and now anybody can have their own URL. But originally it was only for people who sold uniforms for different work and jobs and stuff. So you needed to make sure to find locate the place that you could buy your uniform from.
SPEAKER_01I admire your persistence.
SPEAKER_04And here I thought that some of the first you know uh places with URLs were college campuses and research labs. But apparently no, it was uniform manufacturers.
SPEAKER_06Just uniform manufacturers. Yeah. Interesting.
SPEAKER_03Interesting. Yeah. Um that was pick a uh 53. Lucky number 53.
SPEAKER_04We'll see.
SPEAKER_03Uh your clue is HHS. Oh gosh.
SPEAKER_04Um I'm gonna need the category.

SPEAKER_04That's it.
SPEAKER_01Okay, Jerry, hold on. Oh. You have put Jerry Jerry Jerry's down, Jerry's down for the count.
SPEAKER_04We'll be back in here.
SPEAKER_01I'm on ready state.
SPEAKER_06We'll go we'll cut to commercial.
SPEAKER_01Da da da da da da da.
SPEAKER_06If you are loved one has used redonovan in the last six months, you may be you may be able to be compensated.
SPEAKER_03Oh my god. I don't know why. Okay, sorry, sorry. I don't know why. But I have this image of secretaries doing the thing with me.
SPEAKER_06Alright, here's your food. Just drop a bunch of sandwiches on the desk and yell.
SPEAKER_02Oh god.
SPEAKER_01Oh god. That's insane. Jerry. That's what's floating. Here's my answer.
SPEAKER_03Uh health and human services is correct.
SPEAKER_04Services, that's right.
SPEAKER_03Okay.
SPEAKER_01Working in the medical world.
SPEAKER_04Yeah. Yeah. No, I should have I should have gotten that one.
SPEAKER_01I just A lot of people call it DHS, like.
SPEAKER_04Yeah.
SPEAKER_01But it yeah, it keeps evolving, and I don't know. I mean, it's alphabet soup, really.
unknownYeah.
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_06Definitely got to have to be able to do that. Yeah, which when that when when alphabet soup is what's on the menu for the hungry hungry sapotaries, it that's that's a messy and dangerous one. Yeah. Okay.
SPEAKER_01You really wouldn't want to be putting spaghetti and meatballs down for a hungry hungry secretary second.
SPEAKER_06I know I think I said separataries.
SPEAKER_01It's a hard word to say thanks. It is.
SPEAKER_04Separaries.
SPEAKER_01Yes. Uh Jerry, what's uh what's our score?
SPEAKER_03Okay, Daphne scored three points in round six, so that puts her in the lead at ten. Jeff at eight and a half, me with four, and pake with two. Yes. Okay.
SPEAKER_04Pake's holding steady.
SPEAKER_03Okay. So Daphne, round seven.
SPEAKER_01Seventeen.
SPEAKER_03Lucky number seventeen.
SPEAKER_01I don't know.
SPEAKER_03Your clue is CBS.
SPEAKER_01Uh oh god. Columbia broadcasting system.
SPEAKER_04Correct. Yep. Which gives her twelve. Which gives her twelve. Yeah. That's a good pull. I had forgotten. I could not remember the Columbia part. Oh no, I could still catch up.
unknownYeah.
SPEAKER_03Okay, so Peek.
SPEAKER_0540.
SPEAKER_03Lucky number 40. Peak, you should have had Daphne pick your number. You should. Your clue is IKEA.
SPEAKER_01Why do I feel like Jeff might know this one? Yeah. He might be able to pull this out from somewhere.
SPEAKER_06It's kooky European architecture. Damn it, he got it.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, this one was one of the the ones I should have awarded double points for.
SPEAKER_01Yeah. I think that, yeah.
SPEAKER_03This one's uh like probably the hardest one on the board.
SPEAKER_04It's I'm assuming it's Swedish words. Yes.
SPEAKER_01Why would you put Swedish words?
SPEAKER_04Seriously, Jerry.
SPEAKER_01It's a pizza, eat the pizza.
SPEAKER_06Pizza starts with eight now? Yes. In Swedish it does. Okay.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, looking back on it. No, no, looking back on it, I shouldn't have I should re-rejigger this list a little bit and then you know fix it up so I can take it when we do when I do this game again, and I will, I will have not so hard clues. Okay.
SPEAKER_04So this one, IKEA, stands for uh your pronunciation is gonna be judged since you put it on the list.
SPEAKER_03Ingvar comprad Elmia Elm Teyard Anuyard.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, I'm gonna do that.
SPEAKER_04I'm saying Jerry doesn't get a point for that. Yeah.
SPEAKER_01No, I'm gonna pull uh uh a little saying we have at Grady McDuff's when we get questions that are quite ridiculous like this. Who knows this shit? Why would you know it?
SPEAKER_04Yes, yes, and maybe a lot of Swedish people would probably know.
SPEAKER_01They might, but I don't.
SPEAKER_04I mean And if Daphne doesn't know it, it's not worth knowing.
SPEAKER_01But that is not what I'm saying. That's what I'm saying.
SPEAKER_04I'm not saying that you're saying that. I'm saying that.
SPEAKER_03Okay. I will not take the point for that one, so I will give it to me.
SPEAKER_04I will finish the night off with 62.
SPEAKER_03Lucky number 62. Oh, here's one. USDA.
SPEAKER_04Um god.
SPEAKER_01It's a little too late to be asking these questions. Oh man.
SPEAKER_04I should know that one just off the top of my head, and I don't. Mm-hmm. United States Department of Agriculture.
SPEAKER_03Correct.
SPEAKER_01Yes. Okay. Jeff, I'm glad that you got it because honestly, you would have been so mad at the time.
SPEAKER_04I would have been very upset about that one. That was one that like I knew, and it just was had fallen out of my brain. Immediately, I I almost said, Oh, it's the United States Drug Administration. Wait, no, no, it's not that.
SPEAKER_06I don't know, steaks can be like a drug sometimes.
SPEAKER_03Yeah. Hey, depend depends on the cut and the cooking and the seasoning. Oh my god. Yeah. I mean you could slice it with a butter knife, it's so tender.
SPEAKER_06Yep. Steak for dinner tonight. It was it was okay.
SPEAKER_03Well, so uh Daphne wins with 12. Congratulations. Jeff Jeff comes in second with 10 and a half, me with four, and pick with two. Yes. You just gotta end up picking better numbers. Or have Daphne pick your numbers.
SPEAKER_04You're terrible at picking your numbers.
SPEAKER_06Well, the last like two or three that Daphne picked, I wouldn't have known either for herself. But Daphne would have picked ones for you that you can't.
SPEAKER_01I would have picked different exactly.
SPEAKER_04She's not gonna pick the same numbers that she wants.
SPEAKER_01No.
SPEAKER_04That's true.
unknownAll right.
SPEAKER_01I mean, it's proven it's a proven thing.
SPEAKER_04You don't learn.
SPEAKER_01It's it's a proven thing that I have picked numbers for him that have been very successful. Okay.
SPEAKER_06So went on to have great careers. Absolutely.
SPEAKER_03Okay, but for funsies, would you like the tiebreaker?
SPEAKER_06Sure.
SPEAKER_04For funsies.
SPEAKER_03Does it start with you are aware?
SPEAKER_02It is a you are aware question.
SPEAKER_03Okay, good. Okay, Daphne, you I want you to participate in this one as well, Daphne.
SPEAKER_01Why? What if I don't want to?
SPEAKER_03Okay, then you don't get to then you don't get to have the fun.
SPEAKER_06But here's the fun thing about bonus question is all of your points that you won in the main game are being gambled. So if you don't answer it, you automatically lose all the points. No, I don't play them.
SPEAKER_04If you don't answer it, you're not gambling the points then.
SPEAKER_01So That's right. Thank you.
SPEAKER_04Well her answer would be blank, and that's wrong. But it'd be like Final Jeopardy, where you bet zero. Okay. I will bet five points.
SPEAKER_06I'll bet my two and Daphne's twelve. Because she's not using them. Yeah, she's not. Points are not transferable, Pake.
SPEAKER_04That's just a fine print. Alright.
SPEAKER_01Pake, I thought you didn't want my dirty points.
SPEAKER_06That was years ago. Yeah. I'm a changed man.
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_03Alright, so I got I had to think I had to think quick of a tiebreaker, and I was thinking it just before the episode started. Alright, we started recording. So for the tiebreaker, you know, for probable tiebreaker, you are aware that islands exist.
SPEAKER_04Ooh, who's I I've heard of them.
SPEAKER_03Okay, and you're also aware that Sweden exists.
SPEAKER_06Sweden does.
SPEAKER_03Finland, on the other hand. Yes.
SPEAKER_06Right. Now Sweden exists, but it's not an island. They're two separate things.
SPEAKER_03Okay. Okay. But Sweden has the distinction of the country with the most territorial islands or inhabited islands in it in its uh Yeah.
SPEAKER_04They'll they'll bite you if you get too close to them.
SPEAKER_03Yes.
SPEAKER_04They're very territorial. Yeah.
SPEAKER_03So what is the number of these islands?
SPEAKER_04Islands or like their fan number? Islands.
SPEAKER_03No, no, or just islands altogether, inhabited or uninhabited.
SPEAKER_06Okay. So what is the number of these islands? What number would you call to reach them? 8675309. Uh-huh.
SPEAKER_03So the total number of islands that are governed by Sweden.
SPEAKER_06Has the most?
SPEAKER_03Yeah, Sweden has the most islands in the world.
SPEAKER_06Because and this could be semantics, but I'm gonna have to like question you on something. You're a geography guy, so maybe you'll know if I'm way off. Anyway, we'll get to that in a minute.
SPEAKER_04Okay. I'm ready. Definitely you're not doing the number, right?
SPEAKER_01Oh no, I am doing this one. You wanna know why I am?
SPEAKER_04Not particularly.
SPEAKER_01You'll see soon enough.
unknownYeah. Okay.
SPEAKER_03I think she actually knows the number.
SPEAKER_04It's more than one, I bet. No, it's definitely more than one. Alright. This is my number.
SPEAKER_03Oh wow. Mm-hmm.
unknownOkay.
SPEAKER_03Pake has what, 135?
SPEAKER_06135.
SPEAKER_03Daphne has 260,000. She's look, she's the closest. The total number of islands governed by Sweden, inhabited, uninhabited, small, big, whatever, is 267,570.
SPEAKER_06Now is that like a like couple of inches square, like square inches patch of like rock in the water, kind of as an island?
SPEAKER_04If it's always above the water, then yes.
SPEAKER_03Yes.
SPEAKER_01And how do I know it's come up before?
SPEAKER_06As islands do.
SPEAKER_04Yeah, it's true.
SPEAKER_06Alright, well, that number's way more than I thought. Because I was like, pick out 130. I know 135. Because I was like, that's a lot, because the only the only thing I knew is like I'm thinking bigger islands, because I know the Galapagos Islands are like 127, something like that. And that's like a lot, but they're more islandy than I guess what these would be.
SPEAKER_01Finland has 175,000.
SPEAKER_04Yeah. I was yeah, uh Indonesia is kind of what I was thinking of in my head as like a close one, but they're about 17,000.
SPEAKER_01So yeah, no, they're way down.
SPEAKER_04Scandinavia is like a lot more island-based than what yeah, it's all the all the fjords and all that kind of stuff. It just kind of cuts through and yeah, leaves a whole bunch of little islands. Yep.
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_03Okay. So did you end up liking or disliking this game?
SPEAKER_01No, it was it was fun. I'm terrible at it, but it's fun.
SPEAKER_03Well, this the second round will be easier.
SPEAKER_01So the second round will be easier because we did all the hard ones tonight? Some of them, yeah. Okay. All right.
SPEAKER_02All right.
SPEAKER_01Thank you, Jerry, for your wonderful game and entertaining us tonight.
SPEAKER_03And nearly passing out twice and once before the recording.
SPEAKER_01I mean, really. It's what we've come to expect.
SPEAKER_03Well, there have been times I haven't.
SPEAKER_01From now on, I'm just going to hit record as soon as I log on.
SPEAKER_02Yes. Before we even show up.
SPEAKER_01Before you even show up. That's what I'm gonna do because I missed something that would have been incredible.
SPEAKER_02Yep.
SPEAKER_01Well, if you have liked what you've heard tonight, this madness and nonsense that this podcast radiates, you can find us on Facebook and Instagram at Buffalo Buffalo Podcast or at our website, Buffalo BuffaloPodcast.com. Until next time. No smart comments from you guys.
SPEAKER_06I mean, this was just a typical snafu on my end.
SPEAKER_00It's buffalo, buffalo, buffalo, buffalo, yeah.
SPEAKER_04It's all food bar. A food bar?
SPEAKER_00Bye, son.
