SPEAKER_07

Live from the Dead Souls bookshop in Dunedin, New Zealand. It's Buffalo Buffalo.

SPEAKER_00

It's Buffalo, Buffalo, Buffalo, Buffalo, yeah!

SPEAKER_07

Welcome to Buffalo Buffalo, the podcast where I get driven insane every week by Jerry, Jeff, and Peike. Say hello, guys.

SPEAKER_06

Hello, guys.

SPEAKER_07

This is an audio podcast. Peike and Jeff, you are now allowed to speak.

SPEAKER_03

Oh, good.

SPEAKER_05

Okay. Oh, okay. Thanks. Yeah, our last instruction was to close our mouths. So, you know. Peike and I are nothing if not obedient.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah, exactly.

SPEAKER_07

Are you abide by the rules always?

SPEAKER_04

100%. No, you don't.

SPEAKER_07

Do not do not be telling tall tales to the audience when they know better.

SPEAKER_04

Or medium size.

SPEAKER_07

No. You're telling stories.

SPEAKER_06

I prefer that I prefer that our tales be veggie tales.

SPEAKER_07

Okay. Thank you for letting us know that, Jerry. This episode is brought to you by the Veggie Tales.

SPEAKER_04

We'll end the episode with a Bible verse. And we'll learn a lesson today. It'll be great. Just like we always do.

SPEAKER_06

And it's like Davy and Goliath.

SPEAKER_05

Yeah.

SPEAKER_06

There's enough reference for you.

SPEAKER_05

Davey and Goliath, yeah.

SPEAKER_07

Oh man. I remember that actually. Wow. So how are you guys? How are you this week? Everything going on?

SPEAKER_04

Good now. Now all I just have different like songs from Veggie Tales and Silly Songs with Larry all trying to like play in my head at the same time now.

SPEAKER_07

So you're gonna have to let that go.

SPEAKER_03

Not happening.

SPEAKER_07

Well, you're gonna need some brain capacity to play my game today, which is Buffalo Jeopardy.

SPEAKER_05

What is okay?

SPEAKER_06

Yeah. Well, I I yeah, but I have to say my first full week with Desmond went swimmingly. He's great. Yeah. He knows how to swim. He does.

SPEAKER_07

Awesome. Did you get him some of those floaties so he can go in the pool? It's been getting really hot, I know, in Fresno, so he's gonna need to cool off.

SPEAKER_06

Yeah, he's okay in here. I got the uh I have the AC on for him.

SPEAKER_07

Oh, good.

SPEAKER_06

Yeah.

SPEAKER_07

Did you fix your robot?

SPEAKER_05

Um, yes.

SPEAKER_07

Excellent.

SPEAKER_05

He's neutered his robot. That's excellent.

SPEAKER_04

Good. Always spay and neuter your robots.

SPEAKER_07

That is a buffalo stance.

SPEAKER_06

Yes. Yeah, and one thing, uh one thing I noticed he does a lot is is what I call right-hand sphinx. And I don't know when the cats like they sit in like a low position, but they put their feet out in front of them like the Sphinx.

unknown

Yes.

SPEAKER_06

He only does it with his right leg.

SPEAKER_07

Oh, he just um make sure that when you're speaking, you speak into the microphone because I notice you're turning away and talking, and that's gonna make it fun to be.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, this like Doppler thing going.

SPEAKER_06

And and you won't let me use the headset microphone either. So no.

SPEAKER_05

I don't know if I've ever told you you can't use the headset microphone.

SPEAKER_06

No, the the uh there's pops when I when I talk about it.

SPEAKER_05

Is there snap and crackle there as well, or just pop and just pops.

SPEAKER_04

Okay. A grandfather just kind of keeps showing up.

SPEAKER_01

Uh-huh.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

Hey kids!

SPEAKER_04

Pops! Damn it, pops, go away. Not yet.

SPEAKER_06

Yeah, I'll just be an uncle pops. So that's that's it for me. So I don't have any kids or grandkids yet.

SPEAKER_05

Yeah, you're gonna you're just gonna skip right to grandkids.

SPEAKER_04

And I'm just gonna skip right to grandkids. I mean, if if only, right?

SPEAKER_05

Yeah, no kidding. That's why uncling is such a great uh you know position to have.

SPEAKER_04

That's my that's my job that I do well and appreciate and take every day.

SPEAKER_05

We are all on Buffalo here, we are all uh big proponents of uncling and aunting.

SPEAKER_07

Yes, absolutely. Um, it's fun to fill them up full of sugar and send them home.

SPEAKER_05

And then drop them. Exactly.

SPEAKER_07

Uh-huh. Yes. Absolutely. Um, but I have learned that they reach an age that they start to become a bit more difficult and not as happy to see Auntie coming along.

SPEAKER_05

They start to realize that they have independence.

SPEAKER_07

Yes. Yeah, it's it's been a little rough with my oldest niece just because I feel like she is independent and stubborn. Um my youngest niece is still adorable. She asks me every time when I see her, when can we go to wrestling again, Auntie? I want to go to wrestling. So I'm so excited. I get to take her in July because it's going to be close to where she lives. But she does. I I've taken her a couple of times and she really she loves it. The whole craziness, like the wild and craziness of it, she is on board. She loves it.

SPEAKER_04

See, I also have a workaround to that in a way. Like I still have my like nieces and nephews and stuff, but then I also do like the uh elementary school mentoring because then when they get to that age, I can just trade them in for the newest edition the next school year.

SPEAKER_06

You trade them in for the next model year.

SPEAKER_04

Yep.

SPEAKER_06

Yeah, exactly.

SPEAKER_07

Statova.

SPEAKER_06

You get the uh you'll be getting what the 2027 models back in in the September.

SPEAKER_03

Yep.

SPEAKER_07

The last couple of years you've had two. Are you gonna go back to just having one after this year?

SPEAKER_04

Yes.

SPEAKER_07

That will be cool.

SPEAKER_04

One less full time, and then maybe still off and ons with the others.

SPEAKER_07

Yeah. It's cool because I know that. No, go ahead, Jeff. Go ahead.

SPEAKER_05

No, go ahead because I'm changing subjects, so go ahead.

SPEAKER_07

Okay. No, I know that Paike, you've been with one of the kids for five years. Like this was the fifth year, because it started during COVID, like when schools started opening up again. And it doesn't seem possible that you've been working with him for five years. It it's crazy to me that it's been that long.

SPEAKER_05

It's crazy. Yes. Yeah. Yeah. Uh, I was just gonna say, um, going back kind of to nieces and nephews, my oldest niece has her high school graduation this Friday. Yeah, it's like, no, no, that that can't be because I'm I'm only like 25 years old, so she can't possibly exactly.

SPEAKER_07

Yeah.

SPEAKER_03

No.

SPEAKER_05

No, because your father is my younger brother, and I'm a very young man. Yeah. So you you must be three or four.

SPEAKER_07

How could you possibly be graduating from high school? So this is your first niece or nephew to graduate, correct?

SPEAKER_05

Yes, yeah. Yeah.

SPEAKER_07

Oh boy.

SPEAKER_05

And uh Pake, she'll be uh hanging out next fall, she'll be hanging out kind of near you. She's going to uh TCU. Okay, yeah. You know, a couple hours away, but still, yeah. Yeah. It's funny as that. Be a horned frog. Be a horned frog, absolutely. I'll actually be in in Fort Worth when she's there. Nice.

SPEAKER_04

There you go, yeah.

SPEAKER_05

I'll have to let her know, be like, hey, I'm just gonna drop by at your dorm.

SPEAKER_04

TCU, the you know, great alumni there, Jeremy Colhane. He's a TCU alum.

SPEAKER_06

That's right, yeah. I don't know who that is.

SPEAKER_04

He's on SNL in the dropout stuff.

SPEAKER_05

He's a dropout alum, but yeah, he's on SNL now.

SPEAKER_07

He's also still on dropout. He was just on Game Changers. It was super fun to see him.

SPEAKER_05

Yes, it was.

SPEAKER_07

On there again.

SPEAKER_05

See, we saw a lot of him. We did.

SPEAKER_07

Yes.

SPEAKER_04

It's more than I've ever seen in him. Yes. I've seen him in person, but Game Changers do have a lot more of him. Yeah.

SPEAKER_07

You never know what you're gonna see on Game Changer, like what the game's gonna be. And it's super fun. I love that they did the behind the scenes thing of how they did it because that was just so fun. Because it's always like a spectacle with these games.

SPEAKER_05

Yes, the uh the the gentleman down in the corner got a question.

SPEAKER_06

Um dare I ask how much of what did you see? Did he was there like some backle nudity or backl?

SPEAKER_04

Backle. Backle nudity. Interesting. Uh I've never heard that term used before, but yes, that's exactly what that was.

SPEAKER_06

It's because there's frontal and there's the opposite of frontal. Backle.

SPEAKER_04

Backle.

SPEAKER_07

Okay, that's a new thing.

SPEAKER_05

That's now an established thing, backle nudity. You've never heard of backle nudity.

SPEAKER_07

No.

SPEAKER_05

I have now.

SPEAKER_07

Is this something that you learned from your other group of friends? No. Okay.

SPEAKER_05

No, this is something that Jerry just decided on his own.

SPEAKER_07

Okay.

SPEAKER_06

No, because it goes back to like Dilbert. Uh like the I remember watching the uh Dilbert TV show Once Upon a Time. And it's like, and I forget what the what the other, I think it was Wally. I think the character Wally was like, it's Frenchle and Beckle.

SPEAKER_07

Jerry, I don't think that Dilbert was on once upon a time.

SPEAKER_06

Yes. Well, I I mean once upon a time, like however many years ago it was.

SPEAKER_04

Okay, all the dis Disney princesses and characters, and Dilbert.

SPEAKER_06

That's what that show is about.

SPEAKER_07

I'm sorry. Jerry, you opened the door and I had to watch the door.

SPEAKER_05

You did open the door to say that Dilbert was on once upon a time.

SPEAKER_07

Yes. I had to do it because you know what? Jeff or Peg? Yeah, you guys do it to me. So I'm trying to be more in the moment and be more like us.

SPEAKER_05

Yes. That's right.

SPEAKER_07

I don't know that Chris appreciates it. Because sometimes I will say something and he'll just look at me and say, You're you think you're smart, don't you? Or ask if I'm proud of myself because I usually am.

SPEAKER_05

Because Chris, we have not yet convinced Chris that punnery is the highest form of humor.

SPEAKER_07

Yeah, no, he does not like puns. Not at all. He is not a fan of puns.

SPEAKER_05

Yes.

SPEAKER_07

He shuns the puns. He shuns the puns. There's none of it.

SPEAKER_03

It's no fun.

SPEAKER_07

So if I make one, it's he just looks at me like I've lost my mind. Because he knows that I know he hates them.

SPEAKER_06

Well, the the whole uh the barrage of text that Pex Pacon I Pexton I sent you. That Pacon I sent you. Yeah.

unknown

Yeah.

SPEAKER_06

But that whole barrage of uh text messages that Peikon I sent you when you were at the car dealership was for three months. Yes. I mean you had a lot of time.

SPEAKER_07

No, it was the DMB that I was at for three months.

unknown

Right.

SPEAKER_07

Well when you're by the time I was reading those text messages to him when we were at the dealership. I'm just like I'm like, this is what it's like. This is a real indication of how it happens every time I open my mouth. Yes. They're waiting, chomping at the bit to say something.

SPEAKER_06

But but but I'm glad you you were you were uh good about it.

SPEAKER_07

Who says I'm good about it?

SPEAKER_06

Well, I'm saying you you played along with a couple things. Yes.

SPEAKER_07

I'm waiting for my moment. It will come eventually.

SPEAKER_05

Okay.

SPEAKER_07

So um here we are. We are going to play a little game called Buffalo Jeopardy.

SPEAKER_04

Oh, right.

SPEAKER_07

There are five categories.

SPEAKER_04

All about Buffalo, New York. No.

SPEAKER_07

The first category is the The Academy Says. The second one is Guess Who? That's backed by Popular Demand, which is basically guess which co-host said a particular title of an episode. Uh the next one is called Masterpiece Theater.

SPEAKER_05

Did you say Masterpiece?

SPEAKER_07

Masterpiece Theater.

SPEAKER_05

Okay, perfect. It's the Sean Connery filmography category. Got it. I'll take I'll take penis mighty up. I'll take anal bum cover.

SPEAKER_07

Um a category number four is for some odd reason.

SPEAKER_05

Yeah.

SPEAKER_07

And category five is dynamite.

SPEAKER_05

So D-I-N-O.

SPEAKER_07

Yes. So a couple of categories we've had before, but there are some new ones. They should play play to some of your strengths.

SPEAKER_06

Oh, for some odd reason it might.

SPEAKER_07

Yes.

SPEAKER_06

Uh for uh what was the first one again? Sorry.

SPEAKER_07

The Academy says, and it's about Oscars for the Oscar boys.

SPEAKER_04

And what was the last one?

SPEAKER_07

Dino Might. So there are three questions in each category. And you get um for each they are in varied difficulty. So there's one point for the first question, which one point, two points for question two, three points for question three, and they get the three-point questions are the harder questions.

SPEAKER_06

And is there a double double buffalo here?

SPEAKER_07

Uh Jerry, would you come out of the tunnel?

SPEAKER_05

Knocked his headphones off. He got started like a kid like when he like when the teacher calls on you when you're not in late school.

SPEAKER_07

Yes. Exactly.

SPEAKER_05

Sorry if we woke you up, Jerry.

SPEAKER_07

Yes. You didn't look like you were stretching. You looked like you were getting ready to take a nap. So um to determine the order, we are just going to go the order that you are on my screen, which is Pake, Jerry, and Jeff. So Pake, pick a category and a point. Totally.

SPEAKER_06

Point of point? Yes. Yes, Jerry. Do we like raise our hands or shout out when we want to answer?

unknown

No.

SPEAKER_07

Or is it enough?

SPEAKER_05

Or we choose just one person's gonna answer.

SPEAKER_07

Just one person is gonna answer. Okay.

SPEAKER_06

And if they miss, do we get to do we get to answer?

SPEAKER_07

Then you might need your whiteboard. Yes.

SPEAKER_06

Okay. Oh, so we will need a whiteboard.

SPEAKER_05

Okay. But my whiteboard's already being used as uh mine has my Jeopardy board on it now. Oh well messed up.

SPEAKER_07

Then you may have to No, it's my game. Shh. Okay. You may have to mess with it.

SPEAKER_05

Can I close my mouth again?

SPEAKER_07

No, not now. Okay. Pick a category and a point amount.

SPEAKER_04

I will take Dino Might for two.

SPEAKER_07

For two. Okay. For two points. This flying reptile is often mistaken for a dinosaur, but technically was not one.

SPEAKER_04

Oh, what is Pternodon?

SPEAKER_07

Correct, Fake. You have two points.

SPEAKER_04

Do I get to just keep running the board like regular?

SPEAKER_07

No, no. This is Buffalo Jeopardy. It works a little bit different than that.

SPEAKER_05

Yeah, it would have to, because otherwise, yeah. I mean since we're not buzzing in or anything like that. Yeah.

SPEAKER_07

Okay. Jerry, pick a category and a point total.

SPEAKER_06

For some odd reason, for three.

SPEAKER_07

Okay. This actress starred as Bree Vandekamp on Desperate Housewives.

SPEAKER_06

Who is Marsha Cross?

SPEAKER_07

Correct, Jerry.

SPEAKER_06

How would you know I would get that?

SPEAKER_07

Because for some odd reason.

SPEAKER_06

For some odd reason you got it.

SPEAKER_07

Why do you think the category is called for some odd reason?

SPEAKER_06

Oh, okay. Oh, that's the reason.

SPEAKER_07

No one can see me rolling my eyes.

SPEAKER_06

Okay, Jeff.

SPEAKER_07

Okay, Jeff.

SPEAKER_05

Okay, uh, let's do guess who for two.

SPEAKER_07

Okay. Which co-host said episode 73 is episode title, Sharbooterie.

SPEAKER_05

Oh gosh. I know it wasn't me. Um who is Paik?

SPEAKER_07

That would be that would be correct.

SPEAKER_05

And Peike is also correct, but he is that one that was raising his hand.

SPEAKER_06

No, but you have to do the jazz the jazzy hands on his bootery.

SPEAKER_07

Okay. Paik? You're up.

SPEAKER_04

Let's try Academy says for three.

SPEAKER_07

Okay. Ben Her, Titanic, and what 2003 film share the record for the most wins by a single film.

SPEAKER_04

What is Avatar?

SPEAKER_07

Incorrect.

SPEAKER_04

No.

SPEAKER_07

Jerry or Jeff, do you have a guest?

SPEAKER_05

Jerry. I know it. I know it. Okay. I also know it.

SPEAKER_07

Okay. Reveal, please.

SPEAKER_05

One second.

SPEAKER_07

Lord of the Rings, Return of the King, and that is what Jeff. So Jeff and Jerry, you each get three points for that.

SPEAKER_06

Sweet. I will take uh my turn, right?

SPEAKER_07

Yeah. Yes.

SPEAKER_06

Okay. I will take for some odd reason for two.

SPEAKER_07

She starred alongside. Yes. I mean, you each have your own. I mean, kind. I mean. She starred alongside Ryan Gosling in La La Land and won an Oscar for poor things.

SPEAKER_06

Uh, Emma Stone. Who is Emma Stone?

SPEAKER_07

That is correct, Jerry. Jeff.

SPEAKER_05

Let's try Masterpiece Theater for three.

SPEAKER_07

Okay. This zombie apocalypse. Acopalypse. This zombie apocalypse movie meets US Commanders in Chief.

SPEAKER_05

What is Wait, can you repeat it one more time?

SPEAKER_07

This zombie apocalypse movie meets US Commanders in Chief.

SPEAKER_05

Um I thought I had it and then I realized I didn't. Um I should have known better than to do this category because Daphne is the queen of the vague uh synopses.

SPEAKER_04

I have a guess. I don't know if it's right.

SPEAKER_05

Um here.

SPEAKER_04

Are they in supposed to be in the order of what you said? Yes.

SPEAKER_03

So the zombie movie is first.

SPEAKER_06

I think I got it. I can take a stab at it.

SPEAKER_07

Can you? You better stab him in the head, Jerry. It's the only way to take him out.

SPEAKER_06

Is there a penalty for getting it wrong?

SPEAKER_07

No. There's no penalty there are no penalties.

SPEAKER_05

I I have nothing. I do not have it.

SPEAKER_07

Okay. Pake, uh Pake or Jerry.

SPEAKER_06

You got anything?

SPEAKER_03

No. I did, but then I my clarifying question let me know I was wrong. I think it's this.

SPEAKER_07

Dawn of the Dead Presidents would be correct, Jerry. Yes.

SPEAKER_05

I mean in this particular situation, I couldn't remember it was like that did pop into my head, but I couldn't remember if there was Well, Dead Presidents isn't about presidents, though, is it? It's a mashup. It's a mashup.

SPEAKER_04

That doesn't answer the question that Jeff had.

SPEAKER_05

So Dead Presidents is about money. Like not about commanders in chief.

SPEAKER_07

Right. It doesn't matter. It's about presidents are on the movie's called Dead Presidents. It's about money. There are presidents.

SPEAKER_04

So she's not acting she's not mashing. So not God.

SPEAKER_05

We're not actually doing that.

SPEAKER_04

It has nothing to do with the movies. God.

SPEAKER_05

It's not a guess. My guess is if I had said Knight of the Living Dead Presidents, she would have said no. Or anything else, you know.

SPEAKER_07

I was contemplating that, and I would have given it to you if you said Knight of the Living Dead Presidents.

SPEAKER_05

I almost said that, but I was like, well, but yeah, but Dead Presidents isn't about commanders.

SPEAKER_07

You're thinking too deeply.

SPEAKER_05

I'm thinking too correctly. You're right. That's my fault.

SPEAKER_07

Are we picking apart my game yet again? 100%.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah, because who in here has ever picked apart a game or specific answers to questions that they thought they should be getting checked?

SPEAKER_05

No, Daphne was wrong. Your answer is wrong.

SPEAKER_07

Do you guys remember when I didn't know?

SPEAKER_05

I would like to choose number 11.

SPEAKER_07

Do you guys remember the night that I hosted trivia and Ben went to bat with me about an answer and he was wrong?

SPEAKER_05

Oh yes, it was super fun. That was that was Daphne's greatest moment.

SPEAKER_07

No, my greatest moment was when I beat him by one point in the trivia. Oh yes, that was when we played against each other. Oh I felt like I had a lot to prove in that. Okay. I believe we are back around to Peike.

SPEAKER_05

We are. What is our score at right now? Do you have uh yeah?

SPEAKER_07

The score is Jerry has 11, Jeff has five, and Paik has two.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah. Crushing it.

SPEAKER_07

You mean Peike, I didn't tell you. It's who has the lowest points. Yeah, it's Golf. Yeah, yeah, yeah.

SPEAKER_04

Makes sense. Yeah.

SPEAKER_06

Oh, damn it.

SPEAKER_07

Okay.

SPEAKER_04

Alright. Let me take guess who for three.

SPEAKER_07

Okay. Which co-host said episode 63's episode title, Gold, Frankincense, and dot dot dot.

SPEAKER_04

That was me as hell who is Peg. Who is Peg?

SPEAKER_07

That is incorrect. No, it's and so nobody gets too.

SPEAKER_05

I I feel like Jerry and I both had it written down.

SPEAKER_04

They can have it. Because if I I'll make sure nobody gets an answer on that one. No, it's Jeff. Jerry. Jeff. I've answered them all. Nobody has a chance.

SPEAKER_05

Oh goodness. The complete title was actually Gold, Frankincense, and how do we write the channel? We struggled for how do we spell that.

SPEAKER_07

Yeah, exactly.

SPEAKER_06

Because it's more of a uh it's more of an onamonopoetic word. Absolutely.

SPEAKER_07

Okay, Jerry. Go ahead, Jerry.

SPEAKER_06

Wolf meow. Bazoink. Um for some odd reason, for one.

SPEAKER_07

This actress portrayed Scully on the X-Files.

SPEAKER_06

Look at him. Do I even have to just answer?

SPEAKER_04

You just assume I'm gonna be right. You don't have to answer it.

SPEAKER_07

You don't have to. I would bang it out on your desk in more sense. I mean, I felt like you started to. Um okay, Jeff.

SPEAKER_06

I'm glad I caught myself. Yes.

SPEAKER_07

Barely.

SPEAKER_05

Alright. Okay, let's go with The Academy Says for Two.

SPEAKER_07

All right. This director became the first woman to win Best Director for The Hurt Locker.

SPEAKER_05

Oh, gosh. I know exactly who it is. I'm just trying to remember her name, and I feel really bad that the first thing that pops into my head is Jim Cameron's ex-wife.

SPEAKER_07

I'm sorry. That is not a good one. Give me a minute.

SPEAKER_05

Give me a minute to I know.

SPEAKER_07

A minute or five? You need five?

SPEAKER_05

At least five. At least five minutes. Yeah.

SPEAKER_07

Jerry's already written it down.

SPEAKER_05

Her name is right on the tip of my tongue, and I just See, this is great because it's prepping me.

SPEAKER_07

It's my own questions to prep me for tomorrow.

SPEAKER_05

I'm not going to be able to get it. I know it, and I'm going to be so upset with myself when I hear it. It's right on the tip of my tongue, and I cannot get it.

SPEAKER_07

Okay. Uh, Peg, do you did you write something down?

SPEAKER_04

Yes, it's Vesper Childers, aka Batchild.

SPEAKER_07

How did you know? I love Batchild. You're going for me to give you a point, right? Uh I'm sorry, Jerry. That is incorrect. It is Catherine Bigelow.

SPEAKER_06

Catherine. Oh, damn it. Damn it. Yeah. Well, I got Bigelow.

SPEAKER_07

I'm sorry it wasn't big enough. Sorry.

SPEAKER_06

Yeah. Ah, damn it. Okay. Bigelow, bigelow, bigelow, big a little. Bigelow, big a little bit.

SPEAKER_07

I think we're back around to Paik again.

SPEAKER_04

Great. Uh guess who for one?

SPEAKER_07

Okay.

SPEAKER_04

I think I'm in way too far of a deficit at this point for anything.

SPEAKER_07

But uh, you kinda are, but but Keith almost all the threes and twos. Yeah. Okay, Paik, which co-host said, episode 81's title, bucket full of mayonnaise.

SPEAKER_05

I don't even remember that one.

SPEAKER_04

That's the one? That's the hardest one of them all. You flipped them.

SPEAKER_07

Um That's the hardest one of them all.

unknown

Yes.

SPEAKER_07

Of those three.

SPEAKER_04

That was the hardest one. That is definitely the hardest.

SPEAKER_07

No, I knew this one right away.

SPEAKER_04

Oh, so what we know doesn't matter. It's about yeah.

SPEAKER_07

That's about me. It's all about me.

SPEAKER_04

Uh I'm just gonna guess Jerry.

SPEAKER_07

Do um that is incorrect.

SPEAKER_05

Okay.

SPEAKER_07

Jerry or Jeff, do you have a guess? I have a guess.

SPEAKER_05

I'm pretty sure I have it.

SPEAKER_07

Okay. Jeff and Jerry, who do you think said it? Jerry says Peike and Jeff says Daphne. Jerry, you are slaying everything today. Uh no one's gonna catch you, so we're just gonna finish.

SPEAKER_04

I said it and I don't even remember saying I don't remember saying a lot of things.

SPEAKER_07

Because Peike, after we record, I forget.

SPEAKER_02

Yes.

SPEAKER_07

Unless it's Lady Gaga in the meat dress or something like that, or it just slides right out. I don't remember. Like it's impossible. Alright.

SPEAKER_06

Um, I will take uh Dynamite for three.

SPEAKER_07

Okay. The asteroid impact link to dinosaur extinction struck near this modern-day peninsula in Mexico.

SPEAKER_06

What is the Yucatan?

SPEAKER_07

Correct, Jerry. Would you like me to empty all the points into your bucket?

unknown

Yeah.

SPEAKER_04

Of mayonnaise? Pour the mayonnaise out, then put the points in.

SPEAKER_07

This is so not going the way I expected it to go. Which is.

SPEAKER_04

Which should be exactly how you expect it to go.

SPEAKER_05

Exactly. I'm curious, how did you expect it to go? What is different than honestly?

SPEAKER_07

I thought Peg would do better. But you you should never have left the dino section. You should have just been in the din stayed there. Because you were successful there. Why did you leave it?

SPEAKER_04

I I I didn't want to feel too like you know homeostasis. I wanted to branch out. I wanted to go on an adventure.

SPEAKER_07

I wanted to see new. Okay. That's Star Trek, not Dynamite. Um Jeff. Jerry. Or is it Jeff?

SPEAKER_06

It's Jeff's Jeff.

SPEAKER_07

Alright, Jeff. I'm sorry, Jerry keeps get Jerry keeps getting them all right, so I'm I'm not even sure when it's his turn and when it isn't.

SPEAKER_05

Yeah. Uh I will take Masterpiece Theater for two.

SPEAKER_07

Okay. Anton Chigur gets recruited by a secret alien fighting agency.

SPEAKER_05

Yeah, this is this is much, much easier. Uh actually using monopolies of a movie.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, exactly.

SPEAKER_05

Honestly, I should I should have just guessed um you know, Dawn of the Dead presidents. I I really should have to do that. You should have. I don't even I talked myself out of it. And Daphne is, as Daphne knows very well, you know, you don't want to do that in trivia.

SPEAKER_07

No, because you will talk yourself out of the right answer.

SPEAKER_05

The first reaction is probably right.

SPEAKER_07

We did that two weeks ago. We talked ourselves out of an answer that had to do with what weighs more a major league baseball bat, a tennis racket, or an NHL hockey stick. Ronaldi had the answer.

SPEAKER_05

It's gotta be the bat.

SPEAKER_07

Yes. And somehow he talked us out of it because he thought he was wrong.

SPEAKER_05

And I assume talk you into hockey stick.

SPEAKER_07

Yes, and that was the difference. We lost by a pull.

SPEAKER_06

You know, it's carbon fiber, it's like so light. Exactly. Yeah. So you want tennis records to be light. Exactly.

SPEAKER_07

Yeah. Okay, are we back around to Peike again?

SPEAKER_04

We are.

SPEAKER_07

Alright, Peike.

SPEAKER_04

Uh-huh. Masterpiece Theater for one.

SPEAKER_07

Okay. Freddy Krueger enters the world of arcade combat.

SPEAKER_04

What is a nightmare on Elm Street Fighter?

SPEAKER_07

Absolutely. That is correct.

SPEAKER_05

I just realized we have not been super good on our what is and who is.

SPEAKER_07

You haven't. You're very lucky that I'm not a stickler. I've just decided that any chance I can give Peike a point, I'm going to do because he I will take yeah.

SPEAKER_06

I will take Dino Mine for one.

SPEAKER_07

Okay. This dinosaur's name means Swift Thief.

SPEAKER_06

I don't know.

SPEAKER_07

Alright, Jeff and Peike, do you have a guess?

SPEAKER_06

Yeah.

SPEAKER_07

I have a feeling I know exactly what you're gonna write.

SPEAKER_04

Hopefully the right answer.

SPEAKER_07

I don't know. We'll see. Okay. Please reveal. Jeff put Velociraptor. Okay.

SPEAKER_04

Yes.

SPEAKER_07

And Peg put Velociraptor. That is correct.

SPEAKER_04

What do you think I would write that wasn't that?

SPEAKER_07

I was afraid you were gonna write Compi, and I didn't want to have to say that you were wrong, so I'm grateful I wrote that.

SPEAKER_04

The Latin in that name does not make sense at all for that.

SPEAKER_05

I'm a little bit of what part like I th I would have thought that you know Velociraptor meant swift lizard. Or not Swift lizard. Hunter.

SPEAKER_07

Yeah, no, thief. Okay.

SPEAKER_06

What Raptor now means thief. Okay, let me write that one down. Stop! Raptor!

SPEAKER_07

Okay, uh, Jerry, I guess this is the last thing.

SPEAKER_05

Jerry gets to go again, sure. Why not?

SPEAKER_07

Do I get to go again? No, did you just go? Okay, then it's Jeff. Yes. Okay. Sorry, it's hard. Jerry keeps getting points.

SPEAKER_04

So you just have to keep giving him all the coordinates.

SPEAKER_05

Wouldn't that make it more likely that you would say it's not him? Uh yeah, so it's what am I on? Academy says, right?

SPEAKER_07

Yes. Uh this director of Jaws and E.T. did not win his first best director, Oscar, until Schindler's list.

SPEAKER_05

Yeah. Uh that is um I'm trying to I was trying to come see if I could come up with something funny and I couldn't. That's Spielberg.

SPEAKER_07

Excellent. Yes. So our final totals are Jerry 173. I need a calculator for Jerry's. Okay. Um Peig had four points.

SPEAKER_05

Way to go, Peig. Yes.

SPEAKER_07

Jeff had twelve.

SPEAKER_05

Nice.

SPEAKER_07

Jerry had 19. Congratulations, Jerry. He won the deniant.

SPEAKER_05

Two or three three-point steals. He did.

SPEAKER_07

And it's honestly made me rethink that I don't know if I want to keep doing it that way when I bring it back. Maybe it's a one-point steal. If it had been a one-point steal, it would have been much closer.

SPEAKER_05

Mm-hmm. Kickstarter would have been absolutely annihilated.

SPEAKER_04

Oh, yeah, for sure.

SPEAKER_07

That makes me sad. I'm sorry. But did you like my did you like my category titles? Because I was excited about them.

SPEAKER_05

I did.

SPEAKER_06

No, they were they were very good.

SPEAKER_07

For some odd reason.

SPEAKER_06

Yeah. You gotta bring for some odd reason back.

SPEAKER_07

No, I'm gonna figure out what someone else on the tea on our little team here enjoys and come up with something creative so that I can play to their strengths. Because I thought I was playing to the strengths of the Oscar boys, but it didn't quite go as well as I was hoping.

SPEAKER_05

Well, I mean I got two of them, and the other one I was like I almost had. I just could not come up with yeah.

SPEAKER_07

I know it's late at night for you, Jeff.

SPEAKER_05

Catherine Bigelow. Yeah.

SPEAKER_07

I know it's like eight o'clock. I mean, it's that's late.

SPEAKER_04

I mean, if there was like an AEW wrestling category, I might have done better.

SPEAKER_07

Pake.

SPEAKER_04

Or a dropout or dimension twenty category. Jerry would have had like something else.

SPEAKER_05

Yes, no clue. Uh baseball history would be my I did baseball last time and you did not soak it in.

SPEAKER_07

Okay. It was did not sound like that.

SPEAKER_05

I think that was baseball history. I don't think it was baseball history.

SPEAKER_07

Do you want me to go back to 1918? Is that historical enough for you?

SPEAKER_05

That'd be fantastic. Shoe was Joe Jackson, Ty Cobb, all those. Excellent. Yeah.

SPEAKER_07

So that's what I'll do. Um, I'll do a round for Dimension 20, around on A.

SPEAKER_04

You've got to tie something because Jackson ain't got no shoes. Mm-hmm.

SPEAKER_07

How delightful. Um, congratulations, Jerry, for your win. I hope that you guys enjoyed this. I think I feel like it went really fast, so maybe next time I will add like another question or it's tough.

SPEAKER_05

Because having having done a very similar game, um it is like really tough sometimes to come up with questions. You know, where it's like, okay, I've got all these categories, but now I need to come up with questions for them.

SPEAKER_07

No, I I phoned a friend and got some of them, and some of them I can't remember.

SPEAKER_05

Was your friend's name Claude?

SPEAKER_07

No. No. I actually um the mashup I had. I've had those for a while. I have a whole list of them. Because I was gonna do, I think I've done a round like that before where it's like the mashups. I can't remember because we played so many games. Yeah, it's like what Sam said or someone on um Game Changer, the behind the scenes. Like it's so hard to keep coming up with games.

SPEAKER_05

And so I did do I don't remember of I did a game of uh before and after movies. Okay. Like my favorite one that I still I still think about this one because it was like this was the one that made me go, yes, I want to do this game, which was uh the gods must be crazy rich Asians. Yeah.

SPEAKER_07

That movie. It's something. It's something. Oh my gosh. I just remember my dad's reaction to it when I was. So the gods must be crazy rich agents. No, the gods must be crazy. When we brought that home to watch, oh my gosh.

SPEAKER_05

Yep.

SPEAKER_07

Uh yeah. Uh, Jerry, I understand we have some feedback.

SPEAKER_06

Yes. And I was gonna say my favorite one is when I hit you with a triple called uh Rescue Dawn of the Dead alive. You know, Dawn of the Dead Alive, I think it was. And I had to repeat it like three times.

SPEAKER_07

That was unnecessarily complicated.

SPEAKER_06

Oh, just wait, it's gonna get even more complicated. I may do a quad a quadruple on you. Love it. Love it.

SPEAKER_07

Okay. Okay. Alright, Jerry, bring on the feedback.

SPEAKER_06

Alrighty. So uh on episode 99, a tiramisu of fuckery, my brother Tim writes, had to listen at 1.5 speed for most of the episode. Paik's Elmo voice is excellent. That was really funny. Schoolie was funny too. However, I can sympathize with Jerry on listening to Schoolie no more than once an episode, or rather, once every fourth episode. Hey, just a thought. Can Paik do an Australian Elmo voice? Australian.

SPEAKER_04

Australian Elmo.

SPEAKER_06

Wait.

SPEAKER_04

Accent mashups. And like voice. Because I like to do Australian a lot. That's it's an easy one for me to go into real easy. Like, it's it's not bad. But I like then to try to take that and then do an Elmo with it, that sounds quite difficult, actually. So let's see if I can uh So I've got that there.

SPEAKER_01

Then I gotta do Elmo, and then I've got a t that's really hard to do. But actually, I think I might be able to do it if I'm really focusing on it a little harder. Yeah, that's not too bad. Oh my gosh.

SPEAKER_05

And somehow it sounded just like your Liverpool accent street.

SPEAKER_01

Put the streak on the Bobby.

SPEAKER_06

Okay.

SPEAKER_01

And then they'll do a Cheryl.

SPEAKER_06

Okay, and he finishes off. Uh Daphne, I am in the queue for a Buffalo Buffalo merch. When all you decide to put it out there, perhaps on the 200th episode celebration, please let me know. Which is next week.

SPEAKER_07

It's coming up quick. It is. It is.

SPEAKER_06

Okay. On episode 100, the Sierra Nevadas are ribbed for her pleasure. He's so happy we have that title.

SPEAKER_07

Which Jerry said that is not gonna be the title of this episode.

SPEAKER_06

And then we overruled it.

SPEAKER_07

We did. Three to one.

SPEAKER_06

Yeah. Levi writes, holy horses, that Levi chick can talk a lot. Like, imagine not having any clue who in the Kurds that is and hearing 14 minutes of comments from no from one strange person in the void. Hey Tim, it's me. I'm Levi. How are you? Did you get enough sleep? Would you rather sleep with your mom or your dad? Wait, what? Oh, that's my mom and dad, me. Jerry, hold on. Jerry. But I'm Jerry. Oh no, the narrative is consuming me. Daphne. Help. Jeff, call 911. Take a picture and upload it to Insta. Mommy!

SPEAKER_07

Don't ever change, Levi.

SPEAKER_06

Don't ever change.

SPEAKER_07

Don't ever change.

SPEAKER_04

Keep the same clothes you've got on right now. Yep.

SPEAKER_07

We love you just the way you are. Don't ever change.

SPEAKER_06

Okay. And then my brother Tim responds to Levi. I love that his name is My Brother Tim.

SPEAKER_04

Is that his username on there?

SPEAKER_06

My brother Tim. My brother Tim. No, he his name is just T Gomez, whatever. All right. My brother Tim responds to Levi with, okay, I figure out that Omegan Smiles is you, Levi. For a few days I thought Buffalo Buffalo had three of us listening and commenting. Well, dang, I still consider that we are three. I will call you Omegan.

SPEAKER_04

Still only two listening. But we're doing good.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah.

SPEAKER_06

No, you have we have more than two listeners. We do.

SPEAKER_04

They keep coming back anyway.

SPEAKER_07

Jerry, I don't I don't know. I don't think you were clear enough with our listeners when you told them not to listen anymore.

SPEAKER_06

Oh and again, my brother Tim also uh comments on episode 100. The Sierra Nevadas are ribbed for her pleasure.

SPEAKER_07

Say that with a little more excitement, Jerry. Why are you being so negative about it?

SPEAKER_06

I don't know. And uh Tim writes, dudes, a two-plus-hour episode. I had to listen at 1.5 speed for most of the episode, especially the Oedipus questions and discussions. I did enjoy the discussion of what to do with a murdered person's body. I am now terrified of getting on any boat that is putting out lobster traps, especially if Daphne is on the same boat.

unknown

Oh my god!

SPEAKER_05

Daphne had that ready to go.

SPEAKER_06

She's like, well, I'll just my answer is what I always do. Okay. And continuing, it seems like something she has thought about. Oh my god, Schoolie is back. If I had to choose between listening to Schoolie or the traps, I think I will opt for the traps.

SPEAKER_07

Hey, Schoolie has to come back sometimes. Just has to come back.

SPEAKER_04

Well, it's summer, so Schoolie's out.

SPEAKER_06

Okay, so on episode uh 101 Sephori, uh Levi writes, Tim, Tim, Tim, Tim, Tim, Timmy, Tim, Tim, Tim, Timmy, Tim. You're the number one fan now. I maybe World War II should not have listened to Daphneri about taking a shot every time Jerber says lucky number, because now I got the brain wiggles. But I don't but I don't drink, so I had to substitute with LSD is 20 too many. I love Tim. He came to my basement and we play Pokemon Dark. That's where you turn the lights off and throw wiffle balls around shouting, Tim, I choose you. Yeah, sometimes. I gotta buffalo them all.

SPEAKER_02

Oh my god. Thank you. That's like a fun game.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah. I love that our feedback sections now isn't it's there's no longer feedback for the show. It's just a conversation between other people doing their own things.

SPEAKER_07

Honestly, it's great. I mean, it's in the spirit of the show, if you think about it. It makes me want to have a fan meetup, at least, for Tim and Lee.

SPEAKER_04

The four of us and Tim and Lee.

SPEAKER_05

Yeah, all get together in Dallas. So Jerry's really excited. He's always wanted to meet his brother Tim. Yeah.

SPEAKER_06

We had breakfast last week.

SPEAKER_07

Okay. You had breakfast last week.

SPEAKER_06

Yeah, well, my brother. You haven't had breakfast since? Yes, I haven't had breakfast since.

SPEAKER_07

Okay.

SPEAKER_06

That is correct. That's rough. No, but my uh my two uh immediate family brothers and I, you know, we are the last three remaining brothers. And well, actually the last three remaining in my immediate family, and so we all get together for breakfast once a month.

SPEAKER_07

So That's a really great idea.

SPEAKER_06

Yeah, it is.

SPEAKER_05

No, don't apologize.

SPEAKER_06

No, we all trade, yeah. We all trade yeah No, we all trade uh which uh which towns we go to. You know, one is my my where we my brother lives in our hometown. And then the next one is Tim's town, and then my next one is and the next one we go to will be here here in Tresmo.

SPEAKER_04

Tim's got his own town. That's pretty cool. Yeah, Tim's got his own town.

SPEAKER_06

Tim Town.

SPEAKER_07

What yeah Tim Town. What you really want, Jerry, is to uh take them to Galveston so that you can go to Maseos.

SPEAKER_06

Oh, oh God, I would love they would they would have an equal reaction to Maseos that I did.

SPEAKER_05

I just want to see three Gomez's in Maseos. In their like the promised land.

SPEAKER_07

Yes.

SPEAKER_05

Well, I well was it like the golden light and the hair blowing was like I heard an angelic choir when you walked in.

SPEAKER_04

You know Jerry loves a place when he decides he just works there and he's gonna start helping everybody else who walks in behind him.

SPEAKER_05

You need to get some of this.

SPEAKER_06

I don't know what what got into my brain about that. I loved it.

SPEAKER_07

Did you get a tray out and like make little lines of the Italian seasoning for people to snatch? I almost wanted to say good.

SPEAKER_06

Actually, I should get I should be getting another bottle since.

SPEAKER_07

Say, let you take it on the plane. How much of it did you snort before you got home?

SPEAKER_06

Oh no, what I did is I I put it in a uh I had to send a parcel home.

SPEAKER_07

Okay, because he didn't trust himself not to snore it.

SPEAKER_05

No, because because he bought a whole bunch of stuff and he had to send like yeah, like a ten-pound package of spices and everything.

SPEAKER_06

Yeah. Well spices, the uh the stuffed shark, all the sauces, all the other.

SPEAKER_07

It might have been cheaper to buy it a plane ticket home versus shipping it.

SPEAKER_06

Probably not. I I didn't really care.

SPEAKER_07

Well, if you like what you've heard, you can find us at Buffalo Buffalo Podcast.com or on Facebook and Instagram at Buffalo Buffalo Podcast. Um you'll find us here again next week as we or as I put up with everything that I put up with with these three. Until next time. No, that is not what I meant to play. No, okay.

SPEAKER_04

Until next time, copyright strike.

SPEAKER_06

I think that'll be the episode time.

SPEAKER_00

No, I like the other one better. It's buffalo, buffalo, buffalo, buffalo, yeah. It's big a low big a low.

SPEAKER_05

It's big aloe big low.

SPEAKER_00

Bye, son.
