Live from Nut Island in Lenox in Addington County, Ontario, Canada. It's Buffalo Buffalo.
SPEAKER_00It's Buffalo, Buffalo, Buffalo, Buffalo, yeah.
SPEAKER_05Welcome once again to the Buffalo Buffalo Podcast, where anything we say can and will be used against us in a court of law. I am the game master of things this week, Paik. Uh, and with me as always, as much as I try to change it, it just never does get changed, and I wind up with the same three co-hosts every freaking time. Jeff, Jerry, and Daphne also here this week.
SPEAKER_03Um, Paik, I've tried to get out of this. You refuse to let me, so I'm here.
SPEAKER_07So you need to have a replacement first before you're allowed to leave. Yeah.
SPEAKER_03Oh, I do. Schooling. School face.
SPEAKER_07Jerry's favorite.
SPEAKER_05Yeah. Schooling. Then I have to find somebody replace Jerry and some extra work.
SPEAKER_07Jerry's face right now. It's pretty good. We need to just have that. Daphne, if you can just take that face and put it on top of the buffalo in the graphic for the this episode.
SPEAKER_03I don't know why I couldn't. Jerry, why don't you want me to?
SPEAKER_06Well, you can you can put uh my face as many times as you'd like. It's the fact that you want to put schoolie in my ears again. School, I I swear to you, I swear to you, on all that is holy, schoolie will never enter my earmeet again.
SPEAKER_05I don't think you can make that promise.
SPEAKER_02I don't think so.
SPEAKER_08Oh gosh.
SPEAKER_03Oh boy.
SPEAKER_06Well I can I can get these headphones off pretty damn quick.
SPEAKER_03You can okay. Um so I can let you guys know that Dead by Daylight, the game I play, is getting some really cool additions, basically. We're getting Scooby-Doo's. Do you realize I might be able to actually play as Daphne?
SPEAKER_05Daphne, I don't know if I'm gonna do that. I didn't realize that. I don't know if that's legal.
SPEAKER_03What, for me to play as myself?
SPEAKER_06It's in a Daphne, it's like a Daphneception.
SPEAKER_05Yeah.
SPEAKER_03I think it's okay.
SPEAKER_05There might be rules that might be. So are you chased by Scooby-Doo?
SPEAKER_03No, probably by a ghost.
SPEAKER_05I was gonna say if you're chased by a roast.
SPEAKER_07I was I was thinking, you know, if they really want to make it terrifying, put Scrappy-Doo in the game.
SPEAKER_03I think that you're chased by a guy wearing rubber mask. Yes, and you take the mask off, and he could have done it if it wasn't for those little kids. Um, I don't know yet. I don't know what that's gonna look like. They also have some new Silent Hill skins. Uh, the newest character in the latest Silent Hill is a Japanese character, and they're bringing that skin in. Glad from the Walking Dead is gonna be added to that pack. We're gonna get a mall, Jerry.
SPEAKER_07He has a weakness to baseball bats.
SPEAKER_03He probably does.
SPEAKER_07And plus one to dumpsters.
SPEAKER_06Yeah. They're gonna get it.
SPEAKER_03And we do have both in the game.
SPEAKER_06Wait a minute. There's gonna be a mall? Like uh as a playable character. A mall is a playable character.
SPEAKER_08Okay.
SPEAKER_06You mean as a map? You know, get a mall map.
SPEAKER_03We're getting a map that's a mall.
SPEAKER_06It's called a directory. Yeah.
SPEAKER_03So helpful. Yeah. So finish a fucking sentence. I can't. I have to scream over you. Jeff, you wonder why I have to yell and scream and my audio spikes. It's because I can't get a word in.
SPEAKER_07I know. I know. We're terrible.
SPEAKER_03It's crazy. So, in addition to the ones I just told you, we're also getting Jason Voorhees. We are getting Terrifier, which means Art the Clown is gonna come in and terrorize us. I can't even imagine what his kill, like if he Mories someone, what it's gonna look like.
SPEAKER_06Yeah, but I understand that Art the Clown was, you know, they used Art the Clown because he's a lot more terrifying than Math the Clown.
SPEAKER_03Oh Applied Sciences the Clown.
SPEAKER_05Yeah.
SPEAKER_03Thank you.
SPEAKER_05History the Clown got too annoying, he repeated himself too often.
SPEAKER_03Well, especially in this world that we live in. Um Yeah, so those are just some of the cool things that are gonna happen. The new map comes in December, and so I'm really excited to, you know what? They can bring in Nemesis and the zombies, and I'll just pretend it's like Dawn of the Dead. In the mall. It could be fun.
SPEAKER_06Yeah, what's the what's the name of that little the one that uh the the little sidekick to the uh the monster that jumps on you?
SPEAKER_03Victor?
SPEAKER_06Yeah, is it is Victor? I think think Scrappy Doo would be the Victor in this case.
SPEAKER_03There was something that I saw recently and I said, oh my god, that's what that's what Victor does. He jumps on us, and you have to get him off, but I can't remember if it was a movie or a TV show. But it reminded me of Victor from that.
SPEAKER_06Yeah. Something, yeah, something's dancing around in my brain meat that tells me that.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, I don't remember what it was. But it made me think of that. It could have been anything, honestly.
SPEAKER_05Anything at all? Could have been.
SPEAKER_06Um I I was thinking about, you know, I I tried this joke the other day. Um it was uh Did it taste good? Yes.
SPEAKER_07Oh nice.
unknownYeah.
SPEAKER_03Did you try who did you try it out on?
SPEAKER_06Uh my uh other friends.
SPEAKER_07Other friends.
SPEAKER_06Yes, I have. Yes, I have other friends.
SPEAKER_07So unfaithful.
SPEAKER_06Okay. No, but they were talking about I for I forget who was playing Paraguay in the World Cup. Um I wanna I I can't remember who it was. It's like, and the way they said it, it sounded like Paraguay. And I was and they they it sounded like it sounded like, but yeah, I heard a pair of guys, and I was like, they have an entire soccer team against a pair of guys. Those guys must be really good to be.
SPEAKER_05They're really good, though. Yeah, their footwork is impeccable.
SPEAKER_03And you didn't already already know this. Jerry suffers from mishearing, and I don't know if it's that he can't actually hear, or if he is just half paying attention and just getting random words and he spins them in his head like it's a blender.
SPEAKER_07Yes.
SPEAKER_03I'm not really sure, Jerry, what you do.
SPEAKER_07The workings of Jerry's mind are a mystery to us all. Yes. For some odd reason.
SPEAKER_06Yeah, well, yes. I know I know I remember uh I remember a coworker you know who was looking at something I was I I'd done for um for uh a big an estimate on a really big job, and and then I also provided him the schedule, uh just the construction days and everything, how many working days it would take. And he says, you know, I I really need to get into your head to know what you're thinking. So I need to talk to you about this. And I said, Do you really want to be in my head? And he thought about it for a second and said, I very much miss.
SPEAKER_03I mean, Jerry, you could come here and organize and fix some of the construction that's going around in my city.
SPEAKER_06I would have to see it first to see what's going on.
SPEAKER_03It's kind of a mess.
SPEAKER_07Oh, the problem is construction everywhere is kind of a mess because it's like it's a it's it you have multiple parties that that want things accomplished in different ways, and very few of them want it to be accomplished in the like quick and most convenient way. It's true, very true.
SPEAKER_06Well, I'll uh for an example, it's like we've had jobs that we've had to work with um irrigation districts on that there's canals that cross underneath the roadway we're working on. And the what needs to get done for the job to be done is that the canal has to be worked on, but only at certain times of the year. Yep. So if it's scheduled, depending on where it's scheduled, you either have to leave that little section of that part out or put it in with a separate contract ahead of the work you're doing.
SPEAKER_07Yeah. Yep.
SPEAKER_06And give them the design for it. So then your project gets delayed by the code.
SPEAKER_07So that area of California is like, yeah, the the canals and aqueducts are kind of important to then if you have to like schedule some city work, you know, the the city work has to go first, then the canal has to go, then the project can go.
SPEAKER_05Everybody wants it done. I just picture like they're like the Thundercats, but we love school. We're the aqueducts. What do you do? We like water. Don't most ducks yeah.
SPEAKER_06Oh my god. Oh my god. Second reset of the night.
SPEAKER_03This episode is brought to you by what was it again? Not Beltone.
SPEAKER_05Not Beltone. That is our sponsor. Baby Belt.
SPEAKER_03Yep. Anybody but Baby Beltone.
SPEAKER_06The cheesy hearing aid. So you can make them small enough, you make them small enough to fit in your ears. Yeah. But it's really hard to peel the wax off that the wax off that, you know, the cheese that small.
SPEAKER_07Yeah. I'm gonna go with a different joke here. The really gouda hearing aid. It's good if you really build up a joke and then it's kind of just mid. It really makes it much more funny.
SPEAKER_05Yeah, it's so good.
SPEAKER_03But the baby bell gouda cheese is really good.
SPEAKER_07It is, it's really gouda.
SPEAKER_05Gouda. Gouda is good.
SPEAKER_03Uh-huh.
SPEAKER_05How do you know that it's good?
SPEAKER_06Don't know. How do you know? Hope and somebody had the answer to it.
SPEAKER_05And now we've experienced a failed joke, which is even better.
SPEAKER_02Than an explained joke.
SPEAKER_05Yes. The uh the the technically the correct pronunciation of Gouda is howda.
SPEAKER_07Oh, that's right. Yeah. Okay. It's actually not even howdah. It's it's a it's a sound that we don't have in English. The the G sound.
SPEAKER_03When did this become an educational podcast?
SPEAKER_07I always have cheese below, cheese below.
SPEAKER_03Well, I think we have not been filing it correctly.
SPEAKER_06Well, Daphne, you know how you know it's a it's an in uh a very educational podcast?
SPEAKER_03Oh god, Jerry. How do you know?
SPEAKER_06Because coming up soon, you are aware. To teach you more things. Oh good. Make it more easy.
SPEAKER_03No, no, no, no. There's no more you are aware.
SPEAKER_06You are aware that flictionary exists. Well, I'll give you a choice, Daphne. Flictionary or you are aware.
SPEAKER_07That when you pull out that game, Jerry, Schoolie is gonna be the substitute co-host that day.
SPEAKER_05All right. Well, I guess we can play a game this week. Oh, we could. Actually, no.
SPEAKER_07Alright. We're gonna play two at the same time.
SPEAKER_03Oh boy.
SPEAKER_07No. One and then the other. Darn. Uh I'd rather play them simultaneously. That'd be interesting.
SPEAKER_05Yeah. It could be.
SPEAKER_06Well, it's about as easy as podcasting simultaneously.
SPEAKER_05Yeah.
SPEAKER_06So what do you got, Pike?
SPEAKER_05So this week, I figured it's a Monday while we're recording this. I just watched the new game changer. It was very fun. Um, but then I'm in a you know mood of just while we're at it, we'll do two games and we'll just rip off dropout. Sure. Um, because I love doing that, just doing dropout stuff. So the main game today will be a return of Um Actually.
SPEAKER_07Okay.
SPEAKER_05Uh our version of it, where I will give you uh little factoids about properties that we we know and love, or people or stuff, celebrities stuff, pop culture stuff. And uh you'll have to point out what was the the wrong thing to do.
SPEAKER_07I'll never forget when Daphne just went absolutely ham on The Last of Us.
SPEAKER_01No! This is wrong! Everything you've said is wrong. Everything is insane is wrong. You sit on a throne of lies.
SPEAKER_03It's great. It was great because I knew that so much of it.
SPEAKER_05I think I'm not sure. No, this one's a little different. They each only have one thing. They're a little quicker, a little shorter. Um but so it is a little shorter. I've got 10 of them. We'll see how uh quick we get through them. But figured to make up that other, because I I really the reason was is I was like, I'm gonna do like 15 or maybe 20 of these, and then I got done with 10, and I was like, that took like 45 minutes to put together. I'm done. Uh 10's good enough. Yeah. Um so first we're gonna do in uh honor of like Sam Reich and Make Some Noise. A minigame. And this one is actually kind of at the request of a listener, Catherine.
SPEAKER_07Oh, nice.
SPEAKER_05Um after she listened to the uh Buffalo Buffalo crossover of Run for Your Lives, where we did They Live. And so if anybody's watched Make Some Noise on Dropout, this is a little mini-game on there that they refer to as Take Some Direction. Where I will give you a line to to recite or read to me. Um, and and just you know, give it to me in whatever inflection or whatever that I feel is right. We'll kind of go around. And I'll ask you to change up the way that it's done a little bit. So, of course, in honor of the they live episode, the the line we're gonna need red here is I have come here to chew bubblegum and kick ass. And I'm all out of bubblegum.
SPEAKER_07Perfect.
SPEAKER_05So we will just go around. So I'll just I have like a few kind of rounds of this. We'll just go through them. Deliver me that line in the way that I I ask, or kind of give you some direction. Micro adjustments, if you will, as Sam would say. Uh so Daphne, give me a read of it.
SPEAKER_03I've come here to chew bubblegum and kick ass, and I'm all out of bubblegum.
SPEAKER_05Jeff in honor of Sam Rice. Give me a little more.
SPEAKER_07I've come here to chew bubblegum and kick ass, and I'm all out of bubblegum. Jerry, give me way less.
SPEAKER_06Yeah, I've come here to chew bubblegum and kick ass, and I'm all out of bubblegum.
SPEAKER_05Daphne, in a perfect Australian accent.
SPEAKER_03I've come here. Oh my god, I don't even know.
SPEAKER_05That was a main accent, I think, but what's the difference, really?
SPEAKER_03If you know, you know. I've come here to chew bubblegum and kick ass, and I'm all out of bubblegum, and that was a terrible accent.
SPEAKER_07It was a perfect one, just like the instructions.
SPEAKER_05Yeah. Jeff, in a perfect German accent.
SPEAKER_07I've come here to chew bubblegum and kick ash, and I am all out of bubblegum.
SPEAKER_05Jerry, in a really bad Russian accent.
SPEAKER_03I wish I'd had that one.
SPEAKER_06I have come here to chew bubblegum and uh kick ass. And I'll out of uh bubblegum.
SPEAKER_05Daphne, as if you're being held at gunpoint.
SPEAKER_03I've come here to chew bubblegum and kick ass and I'm all out of bubblegum.
SPEAKER_05Jeff, you don't believe it, but you want to.
SPEAKER_07I've come here to chew bubblegum and kick ass.
SPEAKER_05I'm all out of bubblegum. Jerry, hiding the fact that you actually still have too much bubblegum.
SPEAKER_06I have um uh come here to bubblegum at kick ass and um all kick bubblegum.
SPEAKER_05Daphne, in a supportive, non-threatening way.
SPEAKER_03I've come here to chew bubblegum and kick ass. And I'm all out of bubblegum.
SPEAKER_05Jeff, in a way that's maybe too flirty.
SPEAKER_07I've come here to chew bubblegum and kick ass. And I'm all out of bubblegum.
SPEAKER_05Jerry is a sports announcer.
SPEAKER_02I've come here to chew bubblegum and kick ass. And I'm all out of bubblegum.
SPEAKER_01Hallelujah. Praise Jesus.
SPEAKER_05Daphne, as a parent breaking really tough news to a young child.
SPEAKER_03I've come here to chew bubblegum and kick ass. And I'm I'm all out of bubblegum.
SPEAKER_05Yeah. As someone trying to speak over a large crowd.
SPEAKER_07I've come I've come here. I've come here chew ass. No, chew bubblegum kick ass. Kick ass.
SPEAKER_03I'm I'm all out of bubblegum. Really all you have to do is imagine what it's like for me trying to talk over you guys.
SPEAKER_05That is true.
SPEAKER_03I mean that's what all you need to do.
SPEAKER_05Jerry, you're trying not to be overheard by a very strict teacher.
SPEAKER_06I have come here to chew bubblegum. And kick ass. And um a lot of bubblegum.
SPEAKER_05Daphne. Hot dog vendor.
SPEAKER_03I've come here to chew bubblegum and kick ass. But I still got hot dogs.
SPEAKER_05Yeah, vendor in a dog costume. That's way too hot.
SPEAKER_07I've come here to chew bubblegum. Kick ass. And I'm all out of water.
SPEAKER_05Jerry, dog in a vendor costume. Slightly itchy.
SPEAKER_06Rough, rough, rough, rough, rough.
SPEAKER_05Perfect. Daphne. It's game seven of the movie quote world series, and it all comes down to this.
SPEAKER_03I've come here to chew bubblegum and kick ass. And I'm all out of bubblegum.
SPEAKER_05Jeff, you didn't need to study this line. It's so easy to remember.
SPEAKER_07I have come here to chew bubblegum and kick ass. And I'm all out of ass.
SPEAKER_08Shit.
SPEAKER_05And finally, Jerry, give me a little more.
SPEAKER_06I've come here to chew bubblegum and kick ass. And a lot of bubblegum.
SPEAKER_05Yes. And again, rip off makes a noise one last time. And that's the minigame.
SPEAKER_07Oh my gosh.
SPEAKER_03Catherine, Catherine, Catherine. I hope you enjoyed this so much.
SPEAKER_07Gonna have to cross post just that section. Over again.
SPEAKER_06That was kind of enjoyable. I like that. That was kind of enjoyable, Peg. Way to go.
SPEAKER_05Your game was kind of enjoyable. Kind of enjoyable. Honestly, I want to do that pretty bad. So if we want to do Take Some Direction mini games at some points that people, other people want to do, so I can have a shot at it. Totally fine. Because that's fun. But yeah, we'll get to the actual game. Um actually, we'll play the real game now. And yeah, so as this works, you and I will read a little factoid about uh most of these are movies, TV shows, sometimes actors, different things, video games, whatever. And uh one thing in what I say is wrong. So it'll be up to you to kind of buzz in or whatever. Uh raise your hands, whatever when you feel like you know, or or kind of just smack the microphone really hard. Yeah, do whatever you gotta do. First person that can kind of get my attention and say, like, okay, I know what's wrong with that. If you can point out what's wrong, that's one point. So I will take my little whiteboard so I can just keep scores. Uh and then if you can correct that, there's another point, a second point to any if you can tell me what is the correct thing with that, the correction.
SPEAKER_07Alright.
SPEAKER_05So we'll go ahead and start, and I've just got a minute. Or I've got ten of these. Hopefully, I think we should be able to get through them alright. Number one. In his first feature film since West Side Story, people are talking about the newest Spielberg spectacle. Disclosure day, a suspenseful alien invasion conspiracy thriller.
SPEAKER_07Alright, Jeff. Uh, this is not Spielberg's first film since West Side Story. That is true. I can't remember what it if the other one is. What else is it? Yeah. I was waiting because I was like, maybe, maybe he'll come up with it, but no, I don't know.
SPEAKER_06Did you say uh did you say Westworld or Westside Story?
SPEAKER_07West Side Story.
SPEAKER_06Mm-hmm. Why did my brain meet here Westworld?
SPEAKER_07I don't know. I can't help you with that one.
SPEAKER_05So I'll give Daphne or Jerry an opportunity because Jeff gets the point for knowing West Side Story was not the last movie he did, but if either of you can name what it was.
SPEAKER_06Um, The Fablemans.
SPEAKER_05That is correct. Was that after Westside? It was.
SPEAKER_07Huh. I would have thought that was the year before. Okay.
SPEAKER_05Alright, next. Speaking of Spielberg, he is producing, alongside Robert De Niro, an Apple TV series adaptation of the film Cape Fear. This one starring Javier Bardem in De Niro, in earlier Robert Mitchum's role of Max Cady.
SPEAKER_07Buzz. It's not on Apple TV. It is.
SPEAKER_03Buzz, it's not Spiel's it's not Spielberg.
SPEAKER_04It is produced by Steven Spielberg.
SPEAKER_06It's not Max Cady?
SPEAKER_05It is Max Cady. Yeah. Alright. Unless anybody figures like they have something else, we might have to call this one.
SPEAKER_06Um that the only thing I might want to guess is it wasn't Robert Mitchum, but I'm thinking it was.
SPEAKER_03It was Robert Mitchum. That I know. Can you read it again?
SPEAKER_04Sure.
SPEAKER_05So speaking of Spielberg, he is producing alongside Robert De Niro an Apple TV series adaptation of the film Cape Fear. This one starring Javier Bartem in De Niro, and then earlier Robert Mitchum's role of Max Cady.
SPEAKER_03Um I'm gonna Shot in the Dark. Robert De Niro was not also produced again.
SPEAKER_05That is correct. Robert De Niro was not a co-producer on this. Somebody is.
SPEAKER_06Okay, that I don't know, because Javier Bardem.
SPEAKER_03No.
SPEAKER_07I'm trying to remember. I I saw just like the headline for this, but I I didn't I haven't read anything much about it.
SPEAKER_06Yeah. The only other one I can think of is Nick Nulty, but yeah.
SPEAKER_07No, no, yeah. I don't have a guess.
SPEAKER_05Alright, what's it called? So the uh co-producer alongside Spielberg is actually the director of the Robert De Niro film, Martin Scorsese.
SPEAKER_07That's alright. Okay. Okay.
SPEAKER_05Alright, three. Toy Story 5 releases soon, or by the time this comes out for listeners, already is out. Buzz only one. Uh the Toy Story franchise is quite major, with 12 releases between theatrical films and TV shows and specials, and even one Buzz Lightyear-led project.
SPEAKER_07Buzz it's not it's not 12. It is 12. Oh. Okay, I think I've got it.
SPEAKER_05Damn it. Um I'll let Jeff go at another shot at it. Go ahead.
SPEAKER_07Uh, it's actually two Buzz Lightyear-led projects. That is correct.
SPEAKER_06Yeah, I got nothing.
SPEAKER_07Yeah. After I said the 12, I went, oh wait. That's right. He did there was two Buzz. Can you give for an extra point, can you give clarifying information on that? There was I can't remember titles. Um I can't even remember. I think one was Buzz Lightyear of Star Command. And I cannot remember the name of the other one. Was it Lightyear? Yeah. Okay.
SPEAKER_05Lightyear was the movie, and then Buzz Lightyear of Star Command was the animated series.
SPEAKER_07I could not remember the name of the like the movie was so forgettable. Like I watched the pitch meeting. That was all I needed for the movie. Yeah. I couldn't remember the name of it. Yeah.
SPEAKER_05Mm-hmm. Alright. Next one. There are many famous sibling duos in the acting world. Like Maggie and Maggie and Jake Gyllenhaal, Dakota and El Fanning, James and Dave Franco, Steven and Robbie Mel, Rainey and Rico Rodriguez, Joan and John Cusack.
SPEAKER_03Steven and Robbie Amel are cousins.
SPEAKER_05That is correct. I'll go hand two points for Daphne on that. I was listening to listening. I was like, okay, I know that.
SPEAKER_03I know that.
SPEAKER_07I have no idea who those people are, so yeah.
SPEAKER_03One was in, is it upload or up? Yeah, and the other one is in that wonderful wrestling show called Heels.
SPEAKER_05Alright, number five. The Apple TV series Widow's Bay is a great blend of comedy and horror, showing great comedic chops by lead Matthew Reese, who had already proved well in suspense, starring in the show The Americans as the character Henry Jennings.
SPEAKER_03Buzz's character's name was not Henry Jennings.
SPEAKER_05Okay.
SPEAKER_03I believe that was the name of his neighbor.
SPEAKER_05That is not his name, but you are incorrect on that second part.
SPEAKER_03But I get the first point, right?
SPEAKER_05Yes, you get one point.
SPEAKER_07I have no idea.
SPEAKER_05So somebody can give me clarifying information as to what his character's actual name was, or uh.
SPEAKER_07I believe it was Max Cady.
SPEAKER_03Are you serious?
SPEAKER_05Yes, Max. He's fully serious on that. He really thinks that. Not a joke at all.
SPEAKER_07Daphne just had a brief period in her mind where she was like, oh my god, Pake's gonna tell him that that's the right answer, and I'm gonna be so pissed.
SPEAKER_05I think Daphne went into trivia mode and forgot this was a like Buffalo Buffalo episode of Buffalo. Why is he trying to make a joke? That's not the correct answer.
SPEAKER_03Um I was his name uh Philip Jennings.
SPEAKER_05That is correct. It was Philip Jennings. Henry Jennings was his son.
SPEAKER_03Okay. We were just talking about this because I started Widow's Bay yesterday. And honestly, watching his character run around. Oh, it's great. I love the I'm laughing so hard. Like, I'm not scared at all. Like, I'll I just laugh. Because I grew up on an island, and so people, yeah, people are that way.
SPEAKER_05I wanted to include a Widows Bay question in a way, but I knew you just started watching it, and I don't think Jerry or Jeff have. And so I was like, well, I don't want to give Daphne too much of an easy thing. So it's Matthew Reese related with another project versus like that show that nobody that they're not watching.
SPEAKER_07But yeah. Because obviously I've seen the Americans.
SPEAKER_05But you've had more time to do that.
SPEAKER_07No, I know, I know.
SPEAKER_03It's really good. Like, okay, so The Americans is really good. I never finished it, but Chris did. And we talked about The Americans yesterday because we were watching What Else Bay. I like that the episodes are like 40 minutes, so it's pretty cool.
SPEAKER_07I like that we're getting just brief glimpses of Desmond popping his head in the frame. Just every once in a while there's this little in the corner, just this ears.
SPEAKER_03There's ears.
SPEAKER_05I feel like I could have done more, but I would have put it had to put in the time to do more of them because we're halfway through now. We are, I'm like, whoa, we are flying through these quicker than I thought. I should have done more. But that's okay. Sometimes shorter episodes are fine. We'll hang out after. Uh so on the at the halfway point, Daphne with five points, Jeff with three, and Jerry with one. Jerry's got a little time to catch up. He's gotta work on it. Stop Daphne, is what we have to do.
SPEAKER_03Um that is the rule, usually.
SPEAKER_05Mm-hmm.
SPEAKER_03Yeah.
SPEAKER_05Alright, so number six. Devil May Cry is an action-adventure game starring the half-demon demon hunter Dante, who wields his blades, ebony and ivory, to slay demons in vengeance of his murdered family.
SPEAKER_03Uh never played this game.
SPEAKER_06I know it, but I've never played it.
SPEAKER_03I know some stuff about this. I just gotta think for a second.
SPEAKER_06Never played it.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, yeah, yeah.
SPEAKER_07Uh, I'll take a shot. Um it's not in vengeance of his murdered family. It is. Okay.
SPEAKER_03It is.
SPEAKER_07I was just thinking maybe you conflated that or put it that in from God of War. So.
SPEAKER_06See, my my only thing is like the blades are not named Ebony and Ivory.
SPEAKER_05Um, I'm actually gonna give you a point for that if you can figure out the thing. Yeah, I'll give you that point. He does not have blades named Ebony and Ivory. And then if you can give me more confirming correction, you'll give you another point.
SPEAKER_07They're named Stevie Wonder and Paul McCartney.
SPEAKER_06Uh that would be Michael Jackson and Paul McCartney, sir.
SPEAKER_07Ebony and Ivory was Stevie Wonder.
SPEAKER_06I thought it was Michael Jackson.
SPEAKER_07Michael Jackson was um Say Say Say and uh The Girl is Mine. Ebony and Ivory was the number one song when I was born. Just fun little factoid there.
SPEAKER_05Yeah. Um you don't get a point for that fact. I don't actually.
SPEAKER_03I think his sword is called Rebellion.
SPEAKER_05Um, I can't confirm nor deny that. I don't know if he does, but that's not what I'm looking for if he does have a sword.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, it's not called Abony and Ivory.
unknownYeah.
SPEAKER_05Jerry got that point for that.
SPEAKER_03Oh, okay.
SPEAKER_06I don't know.
unknownNope.
SPEAKER_06The only other ones I can think of are like fear and death, you know, for the names of his sword.
SPEAKER_07Alright, so we're gonna call it there for the second point. Um I'll take a shot. Is it uh is it the Vorpal blade? No. Okay. Then I have nothing else.
SPEAKER_05So I think alright, so you guys are heading a little wrong direction. It's not that he has two blades named Ebony and Ivory, he has two guns named Ebony and Ivory.
SPEAKER_07Like I said, never played it, so yeah.
unknownNo.
SPEAKER_03I know his name is Dante.
SPEAKER_07Yeah, that was I know that and I know what he looks like, but that's about the extent.
SPEAKER_05I I thought about doing because if anybody who's watched recent episodes of Um actually, uh they just did this on a recent episode where if he pissed somebody off with the it was like the blade question, I think, where he said is a like it was the vampire versus half vampire was the correction, and it was just like, really, we're going that big. And so throwing in that Dante was a half demon, demon hunter. I was kind of hoping so I almost thought of just saying he's a demon, demon hunter, yeah, and then maybe like actually half demon, but I was like, Alright, number seven in Sinners. Twin brothers, Elijah and Elias Moore, returned to their hometown of Clarksdale, Mississippi after spending time working for the mob in New York. That work has amassed them quite a bit of money, so they purchased. Yes, Jerry.
SPEAKER_06They worked for the mob in Chicago.
SPEAKER_05Yeah.
SPEAKER_06Just about deposit.
SPEAKER_05Yep. Didn't get it in time. Yeah. And Jerry's catching up. He is points in here.
SPEAKER_06Do I get points if I cut if they their nicknames are smoke and stack?
SPEAKER_05Uh, no extra points on that, but yeah, that is a good point.
SPEAKER_07That was part of it for me. I was like, what I know, they're smoke and stack. I can't remember their real names, and I don't know if we're getting long names in there.
SPEAKER_05Right, which is why I left their like nicknames that they go by out because that might throw you off. Like, no, they're different names then. Yeah. Next one. We've already only got two left. Holy cow. All right. Should have done more, but I was lazy. I was like, oh, this takes a while. All right. Number nine, in it, 2017, which is making a return from the first time we did this. I know there was anything as well. Um the summer after Bill's brother Georgie goes missing, quote unquote, him and his friends Richie, Eddie, and Stanley are searching the Barons when new kid Ben shows up, pursued by the bullies, Henry, Belch, Patrick, and Victor. The kids all make it out of there, except for the bully, Victor, who was taken by it.
SPEAKER_07I'm gonna buzz. I don't know if this is what you're looking for, but it's been a while since I've seen the movie, so I'm conflating it a lot with the series and and the book, but I don't think I think Georgie was found dead. He wasn't missing.
SPEAKER_05Uh no. Okay.
SPEAKER_04He was just yeah.
SPEAKER_05Okay.
SPEAKER_06Um I believe Beverly was also with him.
SPEAKER_04Um, I don't think it was for that time. I don't think so. No. They meet her a little bit later. Uh at or after school, I believe.
SPEAKER_06Can't repeat this one again.
SPEAKER_05Yes. In it 2017, the summer after Bill's brother Georgie goes missing, quote unquote. Him and his friends Richie, Eddie, and Stanley are searching the barons when new kid Ben shows up, pursued by the bullies Henry, Belch, Patrick, and Victor. The kids all make it out of there except for the bully Victor, who is taken by it.
SPEAKER_06I don't think it was Victor that was taken. That is correct.
SPEAKER_07Oh, you said Victor. Oh, shit. I yeah.
SPEAKER_06Yeah, I that's why I asked for a repeat.
SPEAKER_07Yeah.
SPEAKER_06And I think it was not Belch, but the the guy after that. Um was it Belch that was taken? I can't remember the guy the name, or maybe nobody was taken.
SPEAKER_03It was Victor.
SPEAKER_07It was Patrick. Jeff gets too much. I mean Patrick. Patrick Box didn't. Oh goddammit, that's right.
SPEAKER_03That's what I meant.
SPEAKER_07I I figured you didn't. Because we were already establishing it wasn't Victor.
SPEAKER_03But all these names.
SPEAKER_07It's like it was like totally that totally skipped my mind when you said it the first time. I just I heard Patrick when you said Victor.
SPEAKER_05Yeah.
SPEAKER_07Yeah.
SPEAKER_05Alright. Uh so going into the last one, this will be interesting as we have Daphne at five, Jeff at four, and Jerry at five. So Jerry did pick it up in that back out. Oh my god, I caught up. But it still could be anybody's game with these two points on the line here. So, last one. Courtney Cox had done a few roles before, but auditioning for the character of Rachel in Friends changed her life. She made lifelong real friends on that show. Lisa Coudreau. Yeah.
SPEAKER_07Now I'm not positive what she auditioned as, but she played Monica Geller.
SPEAKER_05That is true. She played Geller, but she did originally plan auditioning for the role of Rachel Green. Okay. Yeah. She made lifelong real friends on that show as Lisa Coudreau became the godmother of her daughter, and she also made really good money, earning the 2005 Guinness World Record for Highest Paid TV Actress of All Time, tied with her female co-stars with a $1 million per episode fee during the final two seasons.
SPEAKER_03Okay. I'm gonna go with Lisa is not the godmother of her daughter.
SPEAKER_04That is correct.
SPEAKER_03And I'm gonna guess, though, that it's Jennifer Aniston.
SPEAKER_05And that is also correct. Two points code to Daphne for that one. Yep. But my uh auditioning for for Rachel, it did get somebody.
SPEAKER_07Yeah, it was one of those things where I was like, I uh I think she actually did audition, but I because you moved on to like other things, I was like, maybe he is looking for that as yeah.
SPEAKER_08Yeah, yeah.
SPEAKER_07All right. One of my favorite little little just little things that happened with friends is the summer after Courtney Cox married David Arquette and changed her name to Courtney Cox Arquette. The opening credits for that episode, everybody was Arquette.
SPEAKER_06Named Arquette, yes.
SPEAKER_07It was Jennifer Aniston Arquette, Lisa Coudreau Arquette, you know, Matthew Perry Arquette. Yeah.
SPEAKER_05Yeah, that's funny. I I did see that when I was doing because I was like one of those where I was like Courtney Cox question, and then I was like looking at her Wikipedia page, so I did come across that. So where do I want to? But yeah, um, so that's it. That's all I did. I could have prepared more, but then I was like, well, if I do a mini game first, then maybe we'll fill in the time. And we didn't, but that's okay.
SPEAKER_06I was thinking like maybe 15 quick ones would be good.
SPEAKER_05Yeah. Yeah. Fifteen was my original goal, and then I look at I got to ten and I'm like, man, this is taking a while.
SPEAKER_06Or you could do like or you could do Daphne's favorite and have it go lucky number 13 questions.
SPEAKER_07Yeah. Or Jerry's favorite and just have like 150 questions and not filter them at all. So you're asking questions about like the sitcom from, you know. My three sons was, you know. Yeah.
SPEAKER_06Well, that X is half of you are aware, then. Thank you very much. I'm kidding.
SPEAKER_07My Three Sons was half of you are aware.
SPEAKER_06No.
SPEAKER_05Half of the questions were about My Three Sons.
SPEAKER_06The other half was Fatherhood's best.
SPEAKER_03And that, my friends, is what Nick at Knight looked like when you were growing up in the 80s.
SPEAKER_07I was a little bit later. For me, Nick at Knight was Dick Van Dyck. I Love Lucy.
SPEAKER_06Donna Reed. Yeah, Donna Reed for me.
SPEAKER_07Later, it was they added like Happy Days and Morkin Mindy.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, we've way beyond it's way beyond that now. Yeah. Jeff. Nick at night.
SPEAKER_07The old stuff like iCarly.
SPEAKER_03The Wizards of Waverly place. Yes, exactly.
SPEAKER_05I think when I was like preteen age and like more like Nick at Knight, at that point for me, uh, it was mostly I remember right, it was mostly home improvement, full house, and George Lopez show.
SPEAKER_03Oh my gosh.
SPEAKER_06Wow. George Lopez. George Lopez is on Nick at Night already? Oh. Was when I was Oh my god.
SPEAKER_07Was three years ago when Pake was a preteen. Yes.
SPEAKER_03He'd still be a preteen now if he shaved his beard.
SPEAKER_07Oh my gosh. Well, that was fun too.
SPEAKER_03Scary, do we have any feedback?
SPEAKER_06Uh we do not have any feedback.
SPEAKER_07Perfect.
SPEAKER_03Let's make sure to highlight that. We have no feedback. We are wondering if my brother's. Are you okay out there? Okay, well, you know what? If you want to leave us feedback, you can find us on Facebook and Instagram at Buffalo Buffalo Podcast or at our website Buffalo Buffalo Podcast.com. Hate, thank you for a fun game. And I'm not just saying that because I won. Two fun games. For two fun games.
SPEAKER_05Catherine, I hope Double the games and still less than a usual episode.
SPEAKER_03Short episodes are good too.
SPEAKER_07Yeah, it's all good. It's not the size that matters.
SPEAKER_03No. Catherine, I hope you really enjoyed us reading that line. I know you really were hoping that we would. It's just a bit later than when you requested it because that's how things work in Buffalo Land. Until next time. Nope. Still the wrong song.
SPEAKER_08Yep.
SPEAKER_03There we go.
SPEAKER_07I was looking at you. I was like, I don't know if she did that on purpose or to it's buffalo, buffalo, buffalo, buffalo.
SPEAKER_00Yeah.
SPEAKER_03It really likes Andrew WK for some reason. Go ahead, Dick. All right, son.
SPEAKER_07There you go.
