Live from Mariscos El Mono in San Francisco, Mexico.

SPEAKER_01

It's Buffalo Buffalo. It's Buffalo, Buffalo, Buffalo, Buffalo, yeah.

SPEAKER_11

Welcome once again to the Buffalo Buffalo Podcast. It's kinda like a comedy podcast. I am the game master and runner here this week, Fake, and joined as I always am, no matter what I do, every time, by Daphne, Jeff, and Jerry. Greetings.

SPEAKER_10

Hello. Hi. If this is kind of like a podcast, a comedy podcast, do I have to be kind of funny? Yes. Shit. Just kind of.

SPEAKER_03

How about completely funny? How about just funny looking?

SPEAKER_11

Would that be good enough? Um it'll work for us. I don't know if it'll work for the audience as much.

SPEAKER_03

Good point.

SPEAKER_10

Good point. I hadn't thought about that.

SPEAKER_03

This is an audio podcast, remember?

SPEAKER_10

Oh, that's right. Yeah, I totally had forgotten.

SPEAKER_03

Oh, don't worry, Jerry. We'll we'll video record it when we're all together in Fort Worth for the festival.

SPEAKER_04

Fort Worth, Colorado.

SPEAKER_07

Mm-hmm.

SPEAKER_11

For the harvest year.

SPEAKER_03

Jerry's gonna end up there.

SPEAKER_11

He's gonna end up in Fort Worth, Colorado. Yes.

SPEAKER_03

He's gonna end up there, and we're gonna be in Texas, and he's gonna be in Colorado.

SPEAKER_04

Oh no, hell no. If we're in Texas, I'm gonna go to Galveston.

SPEAKER_03

You keep saying that.

SPEAKER_10

So he's just gonna where are you, Jerry? Galveston. We're not in Galveston, I know. But I'm here.

SPEAKER_03

It doesn't matter. He's there. You know what I should do?

SPEAKER_04

I might make a trip up there. Well, no, what I should do is like take the take a couple, like take the additional days like from the weekend, actually fly out to Houston, go to Galveston. Yeah. I mean I swear I think I would do it just for those biscuits and gravy, because I'm telling you, that's that stuff was good.

SPEAKER_11

They're so good.

SPEAKER_03

Fun memories in the bungalow bungalow.

SPEAKER_11

I mean, I'm totally down to do it again sometime. It's easy travel for me, so it's really me. Your court has to wear. I can drive down there all the time. Easy. Uh, but then because now, because last time you guys were here was right before the meow wolf in Houston opened. That's right. It's it's there now, so then we also have that we could do. Yes.

unknown

Yeah.

SPEAKER_03

I'm excited that we get to take you, and I say we because Pig and I've been to Meowwolf in uh Grapevine a bunch of times. I'm excited that we get to take the two of you to the Meow Wolf in Grapevine.

SPEAKER_04

Well, and and plus I need more uh Bucky's magnets. The I need the location magnet.

SPEAKER_11

Okay. You can get the Fort Worth one to add to it. Oh right. Yeah, your collection of one. Yeah.

SPEAKER_04

No, but still, but still my favorite thing are the uh like all the British and Norwegian and and Scottish people going to uh Bucky's and getting like these gentlemen, like the brisket sandwiches that are like what the hell is this?

SPEAKER_10

I have seen so many posts on Reddit about like I just found a Bucky's and like there's like a thousand people at this gas station and I don't know what's going on.

unknown

Yeah.

SPEAKER_11

Don't you remember the the the character growth that we've had on this podcast from before Galveston with Jeff being like, what's the big idea about Buckys you all keep talking about? And now he's experienced it and he understands.

SPEAKER_10

Part of the issue was for approximately a year, the only description I could get out of Daphne is it's great. Not even I'm like, is it uh an amusement park? Is it a restaurant? Kind of you know, it's great. You can't describe it. It's great. You can describe it it's a gas station.

SPEAKER_03

It's like, no, it's the like 10th or 11th wonder of the world. That's what it really is. And and you can't fight with the soccer fans or the football fans who have been here and been there now because they will have my back in this, in the amazingness that Baki's is.

SPEAKER_09

Oh my gosh.

SPEAKER_03

So um, I bought a new phone.

SPEAKER_04

Does it have a sunroof?

SPEAKER_03

Jerry. Phones don't have sunroofs. And if they did, I would have a permit to operate it.

SPEAKER_10

Okay, but do they have summer tires?

SPEAKER_03

Summer case.

SPEAKER_10

Summer case.

SPEAKER_11

You gotta switch to the summer case. Yeah.

SPEAKER_03

You guys just derail anything I say. And I don't you know what? I get a break next week because even though we'll have an ep, we'll have an episode out next week, but in the world of the recording timeline, I'm not recording with the three of you next week.

SPEAKER_11

But you're hanging out with me in person, and I will pick up the splendid.

SPEAKER_04

Prior to recording, Daphne said, be somewhere where the with the four of you. And I was like, when did we add another guest?

SPEAKER_03

There's four of us. There's four of us. And it's like a reference that only three of us will get, and one of us pretends it was a fever dream to I'm like, what the fuck was that stuff?

SPEAKER_10

And it's like correct. That is the correct reaction, yes.

SPEAKER_03

Yes, and we'll probably watch it again, Jerry, when we're in person, so we can react together in person. Well, probably.

SPEAKER_10

I usually watch the whole series about once every six months. So Yeah. They only produce what, six episodes every 20 years. Yes. Basically, yeah. Maybe 12, but yeah. So there's all how many total episodes are there? There's six full length, you know, that are half an hour, and then there's six uh original shorts that were like five minutes each. Okay.

SPEAKER_03

Which isn't nearly enough. No, it's not, but as far as I'm concerned.

SPEAKER_11

But very British of them, for sure. Yeah, exactly.

SPEAKER_03

Very British of them.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah, those episodes were so freaking weird.

SPEAKER_03

Yes. That's the point. And you know what? I'm in that time period of my life where weird is good.

SPEAKER_11

Yes.

SPEAKER_07

Yes.

SPEAKER_11

And for those listening to this podcast, going, they have not stated what this is. We're talking about for the past 10 minutes, is don't hug me, I'm scared.

SPEAKER_10

Yeah. We have mentioned it in the past, the name of it before. Yeah. But yes. Um.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah, because this may be your first episode.

SPEAKER_10

Yes.

SPEAKER_04

We're almost to two. And we're almost to 200 episodes. It's true. It's true.

SPEAKER_03

Oh, yeah.

SPEAKER_04

Like the Jerry preempts the joke now.

SPEAKER_03

He continues to spread that narrative. Um, so going back to my phone.

SPEAKER_11

Okay.

SPEAKER_03

It is it is an iPhone.

SPEAKER_11

She's just going back to her phone.

SPEAKER_03

It's an iPhone. No, Jerry. It is not a Green Bubble Disease phone. So, you're still the president of Green Bubble Disease in this foursome.

SPEAKER_10

He's a carrier. He's spread it to the rest of us. He's not affected by it personally. Yeah.

SPEAKER_06

He's basically typhoid Jerry.

SPEAKER_04

And there's the episode title.

SPEAKER_03

Um, unless we come up with something better, Jerry, because lately we've got ideally. When you said the episode this week, the that title and tagline, you said, we will not be using this one.

SPEAKER_10

Anal Bearman.

SPEAKER_11

It's just I don't even remember how that joke came up. But that's the Carl Urban thing I was thinking about. Yeah, it was Jerry mumbling Aleomere.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah, that's the Almere guy. And then you heard it again. But it's either it's a combination of me mumbling because I'm tired and your lack of like needing needing hearing aid. But it's more on me than yeah. Yes.

SPEAKER_03

No, it's not about them needing hearing. It's it's the fact that they can't stop talking while you're trying to mumble.

SPEAKER_04

This is also true.

SPEAKER_03

But yeah, it's like general observation of the things that happen on this podcast after what, 10 episodes?

SPEAKER_10

We're on 100 and 200.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah. This is what I've noticed.

SPEAKER_10

Yeah.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah. Yeah. It's what I've noticed.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah. So one slip of the tongue 32 episodes ago.

SPEAKER_03

But you keep bringing it up.

SPEAKER_10

It's all you, Jerry. We have tried to move past it, but you keep bringing it back up again.

SPEAKER_03

You're setting this up that this episode 200, when we do get to it, has got to be something so spectacular. I don't know what we're going to do. I don't know what friend I'm going to have to phone in to pop in to make it a spectacle that it needs to be.

SPEAKER_10

You should get working on it.

SPEAKER_03

You have to. Are you available approximately a year or two from is it two years? Two years from now. Are you available? Well this particular week?

SPEAKER_11

Because we are going to need someone to pop in and we'll just get the return of Reka Shankar, but she'll actually be here that time. That'd be awesome. I am down for that. Set the goal's high.

SPEAKER_10

So Colby Minifee's going to be here for a cameo? Sure, why not, Jerry? If you can get that restraining order lifted, you know.

SPEAKER_04

There's no restraining order. Stop spreading that rumor.

SPEAKER_03

I mean, you're the one who keeps going on and on for some odd reason.

SPEAKER_10

Yes. I think I've come to a conclusion. I think I've figured out what the reason is. I think I figured out cracked that code. I've cracked I've cracked the code, and I think I've figured out what it is that all of these women have in common.

SPEAKER_07

Hmm.

SPEAKER_10

Yeah.

SPEAKER_03

Okay.

SPEAKER_10

I'm not going to say what it is. I don't want to spoil the mystery. I want I want everybody out there to try and come up with it the answer themselves.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah, well everyone out there who's listening. Yes. All five of you. Would you tell us what you think the reason is? Because nobody's really interested in it. Yeah. Let us know. Leave a comment.

SPEAKER_07

Yes.

SPEAKER_03

So for the third time, hey, do you have a game for us?

SPEAKER_10

Nah. Okay, well then let's go back to other things again.

SPEAKER_03

Okay. We can talk about other stuff. Um I decorated my suitcase because the last time I traveled, someone walked off with my suitcase. And when I did get it back, it didn't have the tag on it anymore. Well, I've come up with what I think is a great method to keep it distinct enough from everyone else's.

SPEAKER_10

She has coded it in honey.

SPEAKER_03

No.

SPEAKER_11

No, those little uh like ink things that if somebody tries to tamper with it, it's dye in their packs.

SPEAKER_03

Yes. I was concerned about it getting on my clothes, so I had to the testing on that did not work.

SPEAKER_07

Good point, good point.

SPEAKER_03

So I bought uh some multicolored Sharpie markers, and I have decorated my suitcase with lots of doodles.

SPEAKER_10

Nice. Nice.

SPEAKER_03

So cheese doodles? Yeah.

SPEAKER_11

Yep.

SPEAKER_03

Cheese doodles.

SPEAKER_11

There's just a lot of cheese dust all over the cheese.

SPEAKER_04

No, but uh on a more on a actually uh a a note on that one, you should buy some uh like some art sealant for like what these were uh charcoal drawings, and then actually spray that stuff on there to seal it out. Oh, that's a good idea. That is a good idea.

SPEAKER_03

That is a great idea.

SPEAKER_04

That's a great idea, Jimmy. No, it's just like a it's a spray sealant.

SPEAKER_03

I I've used it before, so well, someone had said I should put stickers on it, but it's one of those textured suitcases, so the stickers won't stag.

SPEAKER_11

Yeah, I've had the issue with mine.

SPEAKER_03

There's oh and honestly, I was so mad the last time, like when it got taken. Oh yes, so mad I was I was gonna come back and spray paint it.

SPEAKER_10

Like And then spray paint them.

SPEAKER_03

That's perfect. Yeah, exactly.

SPEAKER_11

But no She told them number 11. Yes.

SPEAKER_03

I did. No, I didn't, but oh my god, it was so ridiculous. It I oh and I missed my bus. Like it was just oh, it was not good.

SPEAKER_10

Well, thankfully they they came back and brought it, you know, as opposed to it being like, you know, days later kind of thing or something.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah. Yeah, it's I traveled too with I have an air tag inside the suitcase. I think Peik had told me um back when the pandemic was lifting and travel was becoming a thing again, that he travels with one. So I like being able to track my my stuff. Yes. I want to know what's on the plane with me.

SPEAKER_11

It's it's great. The only downside is that like it realizes when I'm traveling, and then like for like a couple days every time I leave the hotel. Your bag's been left and I was like, I know. I know it's I'm not taking now.

SPEAKER_03

Mine says Mi's luggage.

SPEAKER_10

Mies luggage.

SPEAKER_03

Me's luggage. Yeah. I'm like, yes, I know. Or my MacBook, like it has attached to my MacBook too, so it's like, you're leaving all of these things.

SPEAKER_10

And it's like I remember when we were in Galveston, every time we would leave the bungalow, I would get an alert that my MacBook had been left behind. And it's like, no, it hasn't been left behind. It's been left where it belongs.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah. I'm not gonna carry it around in Moody Gardens with the animals.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah. Um I was gonna say, the only time I've ever been separated from my suitcase is when I was coming back from Atlanta. And I was supposed to go to Atlanta, Denver, Fresno, only the plane that I was supposed to take to Denver had uh they were doing their pre-flight inspection and found out that the front, the front wheels were missing a couple of uh bolts that they had kind of. The front wheels are missing. Yeah, missing a couple of bolts. So I I went home via Chicago, so Atlanta, Chicago, Fresno, and then my bag ended up going to Denver later, but I was able, you know, the and they brought it back to me, you know, it's just the the standard stuff, but yeah. Yeah. So I arrived home on a Sunday night, and I didn't get my bag back till Tuesday morning.

SPEAKER_03

Well, I found out was it today? No, yesterday, that United is now flying direct from Portland to San Francisco. One day a week.

SPEAKER_10

Yep. Yep.

SPEAKER_03

Saturdays.

SPEAKER_10

So Daphne's gonna come and visit.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah, I keep telling Daphne, I say you gotta come here when it's 105 so you can get no. So you can get popcorn. Yeah, so yeah. No, no. Popcorn on the cob.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah, but I was Jerry, do you have a Buckeys?

SPEAKER_04

I want one.

SPEAKER_03

Okay. Um, you don't have a Buckeys.

SPEAKER_10

You don't have a Whataburger.

SPEAKER_03

Um you don't have a Whataburger. Um you don't have a Meow Wolf.

SPEAKER_10

Um what what is there possibly in Fresno for her to do, Jerry? I mean, there's no culture there the only things that are worth definitely doing are the things that are around Paik. Apparently. I guess nothing else is worth doing.

SPEAKER_03

Do you dispute that?

SPEAKER_10

Do I dispute that the only thing worth doing is stuff that surrounds Paik? Yes, I think I do.

SPEAKER_03

I'm asking Peak if he disputes it. Um no, those are just the things I've you know, when the pandemic started waning, the first trip that I took the first trip that I took was to Texas because that was the first skating competition that they were having post lockdown, and that was when I met Paik. It was like 2021, I think. Um, when we got to meet in person. I'm just used to doing those things. But I will come to Fresno, we will have a meetup in Fresno or San Francisco or somewhere that Jerry will come to. Jerry, could you come to San Francisco? Because also I feel like we should go to Fresno. I don't know. I want you guys to come here.

SPEAKER_10

Right, we can have to do much less much more convenient for her.

SPEAKER_03

Hey, I have made it pretty excit. I mean, it's pretty exciting. I can show you Stephen King's house.

SPEAKER_11

We can she got a key made.

SPEAKER_03

We can go see uh Sam, Penny, and the other New England zets. Um there's other places we can go. We can go back to Salem. That's true if you want. In a non-October.

SPEAKER_11

Yeah, maybe in when it's not the week before Halloween. Yeah.

SPEAKER_03

Or December. Um other time. Um I feel like we're doing all these fun little meetups everywhere, and eventually what's gonna happen is we're just gonna rotate through where we live.

SPEAKER_09

Yep.

SPEAKER_03

And just be like, okay, this year we're gonna go, it's the Texas rotation, and then next year it'll be the San Francisco Fresno location, and then you can come to the Boston area.

SPEAKER_10

Yes. Yes.

SPEAKER_03

And come up to see me. And we can And me's luggage.

SPEAKER_11

Oh, that'll be fun.

SPEAKER_03

Um, and hang out with Rob and Joe.

SPEAKER_10

Wait, who?

SPEAKER_03

Who? Rob and Joe.

SPEAKER_10

Oh, Rob and Joe. I thought you said Rob and Joe.

SPEAKER_03

And it was like, I did say Rob and Joe. So we'll So if you if you like what you've heard, our episode is over now. We've we've been talking the whole time.

SPEAKER_10

Um wait, I found one.

SPEAKER_06

Oh, good.

unknown

Oh.

SPEAKER_10

It was under some stuff. Oh, yeah. It can be hard when games do that.

SPEAKER_11

Yep, I found it.

SPEAKER_03

They sprout legs and walk around.

SPEAKER_10

Yep.

SPEAKER_03

It can be quite difficult when that happens.

SPEAKER_11

Yeah. Right. Okay. This one's got a preamble. We know the people. Yeah. Alright, are we ready? The Beatles. Elvis Presley. Michael Jackson. Beyonce. There are many artists who have been considered the greatest and the most influential cultural touchstones that have impacted human history in major ways. But none of these hold the cultural significance, the pure mastery and brilliance of one of the greatest supergroups of all time. One with the staying power for generations. The traveling wheelberries, no. Crosby still Nash and Young, fucking who? Wait, the who? I'm talking I'm talking about the greatest musical act of all time. Legends through and through, with a catalog large enough to stun all who dare to question their prowess.

SPEAKER_03

Are you talking about sex with bomb?

SPEAKER_11

Kids Bop. Oh my god.

SPEAKER_03

Yes.

SPEAKER_11

These magical immortal beings have taken the songs that we all know and made them into the most incredible covers that us and the children. In our lives can cherish forever. And they aren't afraid of any song. They'll cover anything. Just have to change a few lyrics here and there, like the absolute masterful scribes that they are. And voila! Perfectly appropriate for all ages. There have been tons of lyrics that they have not edited, but perfected. Made better even. And that is the game we are playing today.

SPEAKER_04

Okay. I got a I had to say this because it is apropos to the the kids pop. There was a show in the 80s when I was in high school called Kids Incorporated. Oh yeah.

SPEAKER_03

Yep. Ryan Lambert.

SPEAKER_04

Stacy Ferguson.

SPEAKER_03

Yes, Martica.

SPEAKER_04

Martika and Jennifer Love Hewitt. Yep.

SPEAKER_11

So the game we are playing today. I will give you the original song lyrics to a song that Kids Bop has done. Oh I love it. I want you to predict what changes, if any, will be made to those lyrics. Oh my god. By these wonderful bopping kids.

SPEAKER_03

Wow, Pank. You've really outdone yourself this part.

SPEAKER_11

Now, closest to the correct change in lyrics gets the point. Or if I can't really determine a closest, then just whichever one I like the most. It's willy-nilly point system. We always love that. Yes.

SPEAKER_03

Usually that favis Jeff. But we'll see.

SPEAKER_10

I don't know, because I feel like it's often my games that have that willy-nilly scoring system.

SPEAKER_03

So I may have an advantage just simply because that is what the girls listen to.

SPEAKER_09

Oh, really?

SPEAKER_03

They're not allowed to listen to some of the more risk like risque songs, but they can listen to the kids bot version. Yeah. Maybe. Or not.

SPEAKER_11

We'll see. I don't know. I will give you the lyrics. I will also copy and paste them into our chat here on Zoom for you to look at. Can you put them on Discord instead?

SPEAKER_10

That would be much more helpful.

SPEAKER_11

And then I will tell you actually how many points are on the board for each one because some of them have multiple corrections that you can try to figure out. Okay. So yeah. We will start. Let me go ahead and copy and paste in the chat. The first one, and then I'll read it, of course, for our listeners here. So this first one is Sabrina Carpenter Espresso. There will be two things I'm looking for in this one. The lyrics are I can't relate to desperation. My givea fucks are on vacation. And I got this one boy, and he won't stop calling. When they act this way, I know I got 'em.

SPEAKER_09

Okay.

SPEAKER_04

So should I just write like the correction, or do you want me to write the entire thing?

SPEAKER_11

Uh however you want to do it, honestly. It's like, as long as you can kind of get a point across of like, and then if you need to explain something a little bit, but hopefully you get the point across of what you think the changes were made.

SPEAKER_00

You can't hear Desmond, can you?

SPEAKER_11

I can, and I'm wondering, he's got a lot to say.

SPEAKER_03

Is he purring or what?

SPEAKER_10

That's his meow. Wow. That is a crunchy meow. Oh my gosh.

SPEAKER_03

Hi, Desmond.

unknown

Oh my god.

SPEAKER_10

It really is. It sounds like a bird. Oh my god. Oh my goodness. Okay, I am prepared.

SPEAKER_04

Okay. Um I am writing my I'm sorry. He's been he's been a little bit different. He doesn't want his churus anymore for some reason. Not even blood sugars.

SPEAKER_11

Alright. Okay.

SPEAKER_09

Alright.

SPEAKER_11

And we will reveal, and I guess we can kind of like present as you want to. Because that way instead of me just trying to look and so uh Daphne, what do you have?

SPEAKER_03

I have my givea care is on vacation. I got this one friend who won't stop calling.

SPEAKER_10

Yeah. Blah blah blah blah blah. Also, my givea cares are on vacation, and then at the end I know he's awesome.

SPEAKER_04

Okay. Okay. And I wrote like my givea fucks changed to uh sorry, my give a fucks. I was muted. It's like changed to my give a darn, and I got this one boy says, I got this one friend.

SPEAKER_11

Alright, so the way we'll do this here is both points to Daphne, she got it 100%. It is my give a care is on vacation, and then I got this one friend, and they won't stop Colin. So Jerry and Jeff get one point next for getting those other parts. Yay! Alright.

SPEAKER_03

Oh I was only lucky that that's one that I've heard because Yeah.

SPEAKER_11

Alright, this next one is uh the song Stateside by Pink Panthras. Oh my gosh.

SPEAKER_05

Can't wait for this one.

SPEAKER_10

I've never heard of this artist before.

SPEAKER_11

Of course, the lyrics being what can I say? What can I do? I'm trying to be the girl that you're talking to, and maybe you can be my American hot hot boy. You can be my American hot hot boy. And there's one change that I'm looking for here. It's Armenian hot hot boy. I'm wondering if I come across the exact opposite problem I had where I was like, oh, this should be plenty, and then I ran out. I didn't have enough. Now I'm wondering, did I do too many? Is this gonna be a long one? I don't know, we'll see. There's 15 that I have.

SPEAKER_10

Okay. I think that's more than enough.

SPEAKER_03

I mean, because we talked for 25 minutes.

SPEAKER_10

We did.

SPEAKER_03

Before we even played.

SPEAKER_10

Mostly because Peg said there was no game, and so we tried to you know.

SPEAKER_03

To keep it going.

SPEAKER_11

Yes. Just stretch it out.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah. It's what we do when we have to.

SPEAKER_10

One second.

SPEAKER_03

I think.

SPEAKER_10

This is what I'm going with.

SPEAKER_03

Alyssa Leo skated to this. Was her big thing, and then the dance like became viral. Heard the opening of her skating program. Yeah.

SPEAKER_11

Alright, is everybody locked in? Locked and loaded. Alright, so Jeff, I'll have you go first on this.

SPEAKER_10

I went with American best best friend.

SPEAKER_11

Okay. Uh Jerry, what do we have?

SPEAKER_04

I have American hot hot dog. I like that. I considered that.

SPEAKER_10

Daphne, what do you have?

SPEAKER_03

Um, and maybe you can be my American ha ha boy, which I think is right.

SPEAKER_11

That is correct. It is ha ha boy. Oh, that makes perfect sense. You have to It is in the lyrics of the song as well. Like they use some. Yeah.

SPEAKER_03

You have to understand the kids bop way of.

SPEAKER_11

They kind of have their own little They do.

SPEAKER_03

Like it it they don't change it that much. It's kind of like it's better than when they change shit to it. Is like what happens with music. Um it it's more than that, but it's less than you think as far as what they change.

SPEAKER_11

Most of the time. Most of the time.

SPEAKER_03

Sometimes they just I haven't heard any version of Old Town Road, but I can imagine if they did do a version of Old Town Road, it would be completely different.

SPEAKER_07

Yeah.

SPEAKER_11

So that is another point for Daphne for getting that. And if she didn't get that though, then I was like, I I like the the the other answers that I think hot dog wouldn't have gotten the fun one. Um all right, next one, we'll keep it moving, uh, is the song I'm the one by DJ Khaled, featuring Justin Bieber and Lil Wayne. And I'm pulling specifically from the Lil Wayne verse, which uh the lines are bitch, you blow my high. That's like turning gold to bronze, roll my eyes. And when she on the Molly, she a zombie. She think we Clyde and Bonnie, but it's more like Whitney and Bobby. Oh my god, there are seven changes. Three of them that I'm looking for in here.

SPEAKER_03

Oh god. Okay, you're pasting it because I won't I don't even remember half of what you said. Because I've never heard that song.

SPEAKER_11

Yeah, that is why I have them in Zoom chat for you guys to reference.

SPEAKER_10

Oh I don't this last one is tough.

SPEAKER_11

Yeah, um good luck with that. It's just when we get there, when we reveal. Sometimes I wonder what they're thinking.

SPEAKER_04

Oh my god. Okay, I'm doing the best I can with this one.

SPEAKER_03

Okay.

SPEAKER_11

Okay. Just lit waiting for a third, okay, and Jerry's locked.

SPEAKER_03

Oh, I'm not. I no, I'm not done. I'm gonna give you something that twenty. I'm giving you a I'm no, I'm gonna give you a masterpiece.

SPEAKER_07

Oh, okay.

SPEAKER_10

I'm not giving you a masterpiece.

SPEAKER_04

Okay.

SPEAKER_09

Daphne is still crafting.

SPEAKER_11

Yeah. Can't rush art, Dick. You're right. You're right.

SPEAKER_03

You can't. And I feel like this is gonna be because I have actually not a clue. So I'm coming up with this on the fly.

SPEAKER_10

Okay.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah, I'm coming with a few.

SPEAKER_10

As opposed to us who were using the lyrics that were written online.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah. What? Definitely if maybe you uh definitely if you're doing it on the fly, it'd be very hard to read, plus it'd be flying.

SPEAKER_10

Would be a little bit would be difficult.

SPEAKER_04

That's why I wrote mine on a bumblebee. It's a little bit bigger. I used a moth. A moth?

SPEAKER_07

Mm-hmm.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah. Oh, we've had some moths around here that are like the they're about as big as my hand.

SPEAKER_10

Yeah.

SPEAKER_04

They're huge.

SPEAKER_10

That's called mothra.

SPEAKER_04

Okay. Okay. Oh my god. Oh no, I'm not gonna say that joke. Okay. Sounds good. No. Yeah, it's better if I don't say it. Alright. I've never even heard this song or heard of this song before. But of course, you know, we are we are an educational podcast.

SPEAKER_11

Yeah. We're learning a lot of things today.

SPEAKER_10

The question is whether any of these 15 will be songs that I've ever heard of.

SPEAKER_11

Oh, yeah. Well.

SPEAKER_04

Because so far we're over three. Yeah. I'm two for three because I knew the first two.

SPEAKER_11

I think so.

SPEAKER_04

And I only knew the second one because of Elisa Liu.

SPEAKER_10

Uh definitely, it's gonna be time for Jerry to get up soon.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah.

SPEAKER_04

Did I was I closing? Okay. I was closing my eyes, wasn't I?

SPEAKER_10

I don't know. I wasn't paying attention to you.

SPEAKER_04

No, really. Was I closing my eyes?

SPEAKER_10

I honestly don't know. I was not looking.

SPEAKER_04

Okay.

SPEAKER_03

Okay, I've given up because I don't I don't want to take any more time. But I I think I've done a great job. Okay. All right at giving us something different.

SPEAKER_11

For last then.

SPEAKER_03

Because I have no idea what this is. What this song is. Well, it's a song. So I've made up my own lyrics.

SPEAKER_10

Oh my god, what did she do? She wrote an entire new song.

SPEAKER_04

Alright, Jerry, we'll start with you. Let's see. Okay. Bitch, you blow my high. This is change to friend you blew my mind. Okay. And then uh, and when she when she on the Molly, she's a zombie. And I says, and when she's feeling jolly, she's a folly. Okay. That's it. I did. There were three. Oh shit. Um. She thinks we quiet and Bonnie.

SPEAKER_06

Oh.

SPEAKER_04

I thought I skipped the last one.

SPEAKER_11

Okay. Daphne, what do we have here?

SPEAKER_03

Alright. I couldn't come up with another thing.

SPEAKER_06

Jesus!

SPEAKER_03

Okay. Girl, you're up in the sky. You're like Diamonds on Lucy, up so high. And when you're in the clouds and so proud, I think we're Jack and Diane. You think we're dot dot dot. Because I didn't have enough time to come up with something else. So I just rewrote the entire thing because I was committed to doing more than three.

SPEAKER_10

Yeah.

SPEAKER_03

I had to rewrite the whole thing. Yes, you did. I noticed to be rewritten.

SPEAKER_10

Well, yeah. Some people would say that some people would say that every Lil Wayne song needs to be rewritten.

SPEAKER_03

Sometimes. In this case, I knew that I didn't know the song. I'd never heard of it, so I decided to write the whole thing over in my own way.

SPEAKER_11

It's um an interesting strategy. Um old strategy.

SPEAKER_03

I think so.

SPEAKER_11

When I'm looking for specific lyric changes, and you go all of them. But okay.

SPEAKER_10

Okay. Well, because Girl You Blow My Mind, uh When She at the Mall. And more like Frankie and Johnny.

SPEAKER_11

Alright. Uh I'm going to give Daphne zero points.

SPEAKER_03

Uh for all that. All that effort to make you laugh, and it didn't work.

SPEAKER_11

But you didn't get any of them right. Yeah. Um, I will give you a lot of. So Jerry and Jeff will get one point each for correctly getting the yeah, you blow my mind. Okay. And you have different versions of that, yeah, but the blow my mind was in there. I will give you that one. Um then from there. And when she hears this sh song, she dances crazy. Okay. Is the second part. And then the end, I don't know what they're going with. They're like, kids don't understand who any of these references are, so we're just gonna do something completely off the wall. She thinks I'm like a party, but she's really more a smarty. Sure. I g I guess. I don't know.

SPEAKER_03

Funny enough, funny enough, my friend is at a Lil Wayne concert tonight.

SPEAKER_10

That is funny. Hilarious.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah. The funny part is Lil Wayne never showed up. The opening act played, and Lil Wayne never on on brand.

SPEAKER_11

Both on brand. Yeah. This next one uh comes from the song Who Do You Love by the Chain Smokers, featuring five seconds of summer. And the lyrics are gonna be here. Found cigarettes in your Fendi coat, even though you don't even smoke. Always changing your access codes. Yeah, I can tell you no one knew.

SPEAKER_10

And how many corrections do we have?

SPEAKER_11

There will be three that I'm looking for. And sometimes their corrections are the smallest little things.

SPEAKER_10

I'm trying to even understand what that last line means. I can tell you oh, oh, okay, I get it. I can tell you that no one knew. Got it.

SPEAKER_09

Okay.

SPEAKER_10

I was trying to figure out was like tell you no one knew.

SPEAKER_11

Like I'll give you a little hint, all of you, for that line, in a rare, and I'm not even joking, in a rare twist of fame. I think Kids Bop actually fixed that line and made it better for real. Made it make more sense. So I'll give y'all that. And then in other lines they say they change to things that don't make sense, but that's how Kids Bop rolls sometimes.

SPEAKER_03

Some of them are real stupid, to be honest.

SPEAKER_11

Yeah, some of those are in here.

SPEAKER_04

Hang on, I I got a problem. What'd you what did you do? Jesus Christ, dude.

SPEAKER_00

This is a staying in Don't do that again.

SPEAKER_04

Sorry about that. Everything good? Yeah, he's good.

SPEAKER_03

He's just stepping where he shouldn't have, so Oh, well, we're keeping it in, Jerry. What did you do?

SPEAKER_04

What did you do? Including the crunchy meow?

SPEAKER_02

Oh yeah.

SPEAKER_04

Crunchy Meow is gonna be the new theme song.

SPEAKER_11

I'm gonna add dun dunno It's Buffalo, Buffalo, Buffalo, Buffalo.

SPEAKER_03

You laugh, but I totally could detect it.

SPEAKER_08

Oh, I believe you will.

SPEAKER_03

Oh, I gotta put write that down, actually.

SPEAKER_10

Okay, I just went with this. I don't think any of it's right, but that's okay. Because we're having fun. Yes.

SPEAKER_04

This is so dumb.

SPEAKER_11

You might have a chance.

SPEAKER_04

Okay. Let's go with this.

SPEAKER_11

Alright. And Daphne, are you locked in as well?

SPEAKER_02

I am ready.

SPEAKER_11

Start with you then, Daphne. What we got?

SPEAKER_03

Found someone's name in your Fendi coat, even though you don't even know. Da da da. Yeah, I can tell. You know I know. I knew. You know I knew.

SPEAKER_11

Okay.

SPEAKER_10

Jeff. I went with found money in your winter coat, even though you don't even work. Ah yes. And yeah, I can tell you no one cares.

SPEAKER_03

I like that, Jeff.

SPEAKER_10

That is fun.

SPEAKER_03

I think that's great.

SPEAKER_11

Jerry, what do we have here for you?

SPEAKER_03

Desmond barfed on the floor.

SPEAKER_04

Found Candy in your rainy coat, even though you quit it all. Always changing your t-shirt types, and then yeah, you yeah, I can tell no one now.

SPEAKER_11

So this is another kid's bop version that Daphne clearly has heard and listened to.

SPEAKER_05

Yep.

SPEAKER_11

I have three on that one. Which found someone's name in your Fendi coat. Because that's how if some if you're cheating on somebody You would write their name on paper, right. Absolutely. The person you're cheating with is going to write your name on your clothing articles. Even though you don't even know, which what? Maybe that's why the code is a good idea.

SPEAKER_03

You don't know your own name.

SPEAKER_11

The last line, which actually is a better line, strangely enough, with Kids Bob, is yeah, I can tell you know I knew. Because, yeah, why would you be hiding things? Unless you were like already like, oh, they're on to me. I was like, in a rare turn of events, Kids Bob had a line that makes sense for the story better than what that was. Alright. I might skip some that aren't as fun, but I do want to do this one. It comes from the song Team by Lord.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah. Did Jeff and I blank on that one? Yes.

SPEAKER_11

When Daphne nails it, it's like, well because of my nieces.

SPEAKER_03

And they Yeah. They don't.

SPEAKER_07

Alright.

SPEAKER_03

I never know what they're what they're listening to, but that happened to be one.

SPEAKER_11

So yeah, the song Team by Lord. Um there'll be two corrections I'm looking for here. Dancing around the lies we tell, dancing around big eyes as well, even the comatose, they don't dance and tell.

SPEAKER_02

Alright. I have not heard this one.

SPEAKER_11

Oh, I have a chance. Yeah, it's one that Daphne doesn't know, so she'll just write a completely new song.

SPEAKER_03

No. No, that didn't work out well for me last time. So no, you don't get that much out. You're not getting that much effort again.

SPEAKER_10

You know that thing that you didn't ask for, Pake? You're not getting it again.

SPEAKER_06

Oh no.

SPEAKER_10

I will say it's more impressive to rewrite the whole lyrics. It's just also not the game.

SPEAKER_03

Alright, that's my guess. It's wrong.

SPEAKER_11

Who can shoot the most basketballs into this hoop? Well, I polished the hoop. I cleaned up the hoop and I repainted the bathboard. Yeah.

SPEAKER_07

Oh gosh.

SPEAKER_04

Oh my god. Am I ever throwing spag you throwing spaghetti against the wall here, so I don't even know if I'm changing the right part.

SPEAKER_09

Okay, I'm locked in.

SPEAKER_04

I'm about locked down. Okay.

SPEAKER_11

Alright, I think everybody's in, so Jeff, we'll go ahead and start with you.

SPEAKER_10

Uh dancing around the lies we tell, dancing around the skies as well. Uh even the lonely ones, they don't dance and tell.

SPEAKER_11

Alright.

SPEAKER_04

Jerry. I have dancing around dancing around the firefly as well. Uh dancing around big eyes as well. Even the big brown dogs, they don't dance and tell.

SPEAKER_10

I love the randomness of that one. It's very the black dogs do. The yellow dogs, not the brown ones.

SPEAKER_03

Mine is dancing around the lies we tell, dancing around big eyes as well. Even at school, they will show and tell.

SPEAKER_11

Oh, that's good. That's good. That is good. Alright. What was uh, Jeff, what was the first part of yours again?

SPEAKER_10

Uh dancing around the skies as well.

unknown

Okay.

SPEAKER_10

I think it's close enough.

SPEAKER_11

Because I'm looking, I don't know. I think you're the well, you didn't. That's the second line, right? Yes.

unknown

Yeah.

SPEAKER_11

No, it's the first line. Everybody kept lies. Yeah. Everybody kept lies. So I can't do anything for that one. Because the first is.

SPEAKER_04

No, I changed mine to Fireflies.

SPEAKER_11

Oh, that's right. So uh with being the only one that did change that, Jerry will get a point. Because they went with for some reason, lies are too risque. Risque for for kids bops. So it's dancing around the words we tell. Okay. But Big Eyes stays. Even the kids in here, they don't dance and tell.

SPEAKER_03

Which I like mine better.

SPEAKER_11

Everybody, again, did change that part. Uh and it was what, a big brown dog. The lonely ones I really like. Just like as like a line. But with it being kid-centric, calling out kids. I'm gonna give Daphne the point for score.

SPEAKER_10

I agree. I agree with that one.

SPEAKER_03

It's the only thing, honestly, it was the only thing I could think of, but I do like the that Jerry did the keeps going back to the animals. Hot dogs, brown dogs.

SPEAKER_04

No, because I I try and keep the same uh syllabic uh you'd think they'd want to do that sometimes, but they're not interested in that. They don't. Because it has to have the same number of syllables, comatose, big brown dogs.

SPEAKER_03

Well, that's what I did with the one I with what I did. I had to add will because of the word don't. It's like no show and tell. Even at school they show and tell.

SPEAKER_04

But I I have to say, I did like your reactions on big brown dogs.

SPEAKER_03

I just kept thinking, what is it? The slick brown fox jumps over the lake. The quick brown fox. I can't remember.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah, the quick brown fox jumps over the link.

SPEAKER_03

Tonight's podcast is brought to you by alcohol.

SPEAKER_11

All right. Next song is Capital Cities, their song Safe and Sound. Okay, we are over six.

SPEAKER_03

Yes. This is a great one, Jeff. We need to make you a playlist.

SPEAKER_11

I will not listen to it. The regular version and the kids' bot version. Yeah. Actually, honestly, it's a great song. I love it.

SPEAKER_03

It is a great song. At least one song, maybe.

SPEAKER_10

I'm just saying if the playlist of all of these songs, I'm not going to listen to it. I'm not in the side of the side of the side. Alright, we have two that I'm looking for.

SPEAKER_03

Espresso is a great song. Okay. Okay.

SPEAKER_11

Okay. We're ready. Two I'm looking for here with Capital City song. Uh, I could fill your cup. You know, my wit my river won't evaporate. This world we still appreciate. You could be my luck. Even in a hurricane of frowns, I know that we'll be safe and sound. Two corrections? Two corrections.

SPEAKER_10

You could be my big brown dog.

SPEAKER_03

Are you sure that that isn't the redone one?

SPEAKER_10

It seems extremely like what would you say?

SPEAKER_03

Because her Cain of Frowns is not I I don't think the original one goes that way.

SPEAKER_10

Oh, package. Like, this seems like a Nope that is the Maybe Daphne has only heard the kids pop version.

SPEAKER_03

No.

SPEAKER_10

I'm ready to go.

SPEAKER_03

I I got nothing, so I'm good.

SPEAKER_04

Okay, I got one. I'm writing my last line here.

SPEAKER_11

Don't you want to just take a stab at something, Daphne? She's like, I got plenty of points. I'm good.

SPEAKER_03

I could stab it with the pointy end of my pen.

SPEAKER_11

Um Jerry, we'll start with yours.

SPEAKER_03

Okay, I've I've come up with one.

SPEAKER_04

Okay, um, I've changed it to You know my water won't be spilled. And then even in a storm of frowns.

SPEAKER_11

Daphne, what do we go for?

SPEAKER_03

Even with the world turned upside down.

SPEAKER_11

Okay.

SPEAKER_10

And Jeff, what do we have?

SPEAKER_03

I went with I know that we'll be safe.

SPEAKER_10

You could be my friend. And even in a world of frowns. Okay.

SPEAKER_03

It's really ridiculous. I I just feel like this is their version of what they would do with it.

SPEAKER_11

I don't know if I can give any point, honestly. Jerry and Jeff got a line right, but they changed the wrong word. Hurricane was kept. Frowns is too negative for some reason. Um but first, the first uh change they made was instead of I could fill your cup, which uh they went with I could lift you up, which is the word that they use in the first verse version of that one. So they say lift you up the first time, and then the second one is fill your cup. They just did lift you up again because they don't want to think about liquid in cups.

SPEAKER_03

Um that's too much like dominating sperm for the still labor. That's not where I was pregnant. Sure.

SPEAKER_10

That's exactly that is exactly what everybody who hears the word cup thinks. Yeah.

SPEAKER_03

I don't know.

SPEAKER_10

Jerry's like, from now on, you know what?

SPEAKER_03

From now on, I think I'm gonna instead of making it what they want or what they would do, I'm gonna do the opposite and make it worse.

SPEAKER_11

Yeah, hey, it's a cool strategy.

SPEAKER_03

It's a strategy.

SPEAKER_11

Yeah, and so the second one is even in a hurricane of thoughts, I know that we'll be safe and sound. So they made it make less sense and not rhyme anymore.

SPEAKER_03

It's dumb. It's dumb.

SPEAKER_11

Yeah. Sometimes it doesn't make sense. Yes. So I think that one's just gonna be uh wash.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, I I've I may have heard that once. I don't I yeah.

SPEAKER_10

You could give points to whose corrections you thought were the best. Up to you.

SPEAKER_11

I could.

SPEAKER_10

Or you could just give zero points.

SPEAKER_11

Because it's it's not even that like somebody changed something that was changed into something that I could like. It was the parts that were changed, you all kept the same.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah. Okay. I'm okay with it, peg.

SPEAKER_10

No, I am too. I just miss making a suggestion.

SPEAKER_03

If it makes you feel better to not allocate any points.

SPEAKER_11

I I think with that one we'll we'll skim. All right. Next one uh comes from Drake's Too Good. Okay, over seven. Yeah. Which is a little line that says, we gotta take time with this. Cock up your bumper, sit down on it. Let me see if this is something I can fix. Um, there's only one correction, and I'm sure we all know cock up your bumper is not making it into kids, bop.

SPEAKER_10

No, no, it's gotta be cock up your dumper.

SPEAKER_11

Yes, exactly.

SPEAKER_10

Jerry just wants to leave right now.

SPEAKER_03

I am going for something that isn't gonna be in it, but it might make people laugh.

SPEAKER_11

We know what's not gonna be in it. We we've established that.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah.

SPEAKER_11

In the bumper.

SPEAKER_03

Yep. I I think mine is should get points, and I'm pretty sure that if there was a person here who isn't here, I would get points for it.

SPEAKER_10

That's vague. Very, very vague.

SPEAKER_03

When I give you the answer, you will understand it.

SPEAKER_10

I absolutely love when Daphne makes references that are particular to one person who isn't around.

SPEAKER_03

It happens every week. Almost always. I can't help it.

SPEAKER_10

I remember I was when I was editing um the Ignobo one, and you kept making references to things that only Pake would get, and I'm like, that's great. I'm the judge. So you're not getting that point.

SPEAKER_03

Because at the end of the day, I was never gonna get the point anyway, so I might as well make somebody laugh or understand it.

SPEAKER_10

You ended up tied for the lead with Jerry in that one and then lost the tiebreaker.

SPEAKER_03

Of course I did.

SPEAKER_11

Alright, is everybody locked in on this one?

SPEAKER_00

Almost.

SPEAKER_03

Oh, I'm locked in.

SPEAKER_00

She's so locked in.

SPEAKER_03

I am.

SPEAKER_04

Okay. Since I'm not gonna win, I'm just gonna go with something stupid, Taylor.

SPEAKER_00

Okay.

SPEAKER_11

Alright. Alright, Daphne, we'll start with you this time.

SPEAKER_03

Okay, instead of cock up yellow bumper, I put sit, mother humper.

SPEAKER_11

Alright.

SPEAKER_03

Levi would give me points for that if they were here.

SPEAKER_10

They're not here, so no points.

SPEAKER_03

It doesn't matter. I don't know what it's supposed to be. Okay.

SPEAKER_10

So I'm I also don't know what it's supposed to be. Uh you tried, huh? Dent in your bumper.

SPEAKER_11

Alright. Oh boy. And then uh Jerry, what do you got?

SPEAKER_04

I got step up to Thinker. Sit down and smile.

SPEAKER_03

Jerry took my idea and ran with it.

SPEAKER_10

Oh, kind of. Still one line. You just did the whole.

SPEAKER_03

It is. Yes, but sit down and smile.

SPEAKER_11

I mean that makes sense to me. Um, this one's a tough one to go with. So the correction is they turned it into something wholesome and sweet, honestly. A little bit more. You should come over, sit down with me.

SPEAKER_10

Um honestly, I think Jerry got closest. He's the only one who changed the second half of the line.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah, I didn't change it.

SPEAKER_11

Oh, yeah, we'll go with Jerry on that one. Uh I'm gonna skip this one, um, but I still have the joke that again, I don't think anybody will get, but if somebody does. Because I was like, I included maybe doing the song The Night is Still Young by Ninky Minj.

SPEAKER_03

But Jerry is waving in a way.

SPEAKER_11

But we won't worry about that one. Um so this next one, only one correction in here, uh, is the fantastic song Brave by Sarah Barry Alice.

SPEAKER_10

Oh, for eight.

SPEAKER_03

Okay.

SPEAKER_11

You don't know. Which I love.

SPEAKER_04

I don't know, Sarah Barry what? Barrillis or something like that.

SPEAKER_11

Barillis. I don't yeah. Anyway, the lyrics. You can be amazing, you can turn a phrase into a weapon or a drug, you can be the outcast or be the backlash of somebody's lack of love. Just one change in there. And that doesn't necessarily mean one word is changed, but like a little a phrase or something.

SPEAKER_09

Okay, this is what we're going with.

SPEAKER_03

I'm ready.

SPEAKER_11

Alright. Uh I think Jerry starts this one. Uh what do we have first here?

SPEAKER_04

Young?

SPEAKER_07

Yeah.

SPEAKER_04

Okay. I changed it to you can turn a phrase into a letter or a mug. Alright.

SPEAKER_11

Sure. Sure. Uh Daphne, what about you?

SPEAKER_03

You can turn a phrase into a put down or a hug.

SPEAKER_10

I went with you can turn a phrase into a song of love. Just straight up rhyming love with love.

SPEAKER_11

Yeah. Something they would do. Yeah. Uh but unfortunately, this does seem to be another instance of Daphne has heard this version and gone with it because it is put down or a hug. Exactly.

SPEAKER_10

I almost all of them did hug, but I have heard some. I almost did hug. What was in my head was a kiss or a hug. And I went, no, they wouldn't be kissing.

SPEAKER_03

Oh, they wouldn't have none of that.

SPEAKER_10

Yeah, exactly. That's why I didn't. No kissing here. No. No.

SPEAKER_04

I have to ask, how the hell do you make a Nicki Minaj song into Kids Bop?

SPEAKER_03

Peg, why don't you tell us?

SPEAKER_11

Yeah, we'll do that one because we'll skip doing that one as a round. So uh the lyrics, Ayo, tonight is the night that I'ma get twisted. Mix Moscato and vodka, I'ma mix it. Yes, you said that. Roll that spaceship, we bout to get lifted. Live in the present. That gift is for the gifted. So they changed tonight is the night that I'm gonna fix it. What? We don't know. Give me a song and a voice, I'ma mix it. Like a spaceship, we're bout to get lifted. So that's what they do with that one. Alright, next one. LMFAO, party rock anthem. Hey, I've heard of this one.

SPEAKER_03

Rock is in the house tonight.

SPEAKER_11

Um, with the lyrics, We just wanna see you shake that. And then there's a whole beep, bim, bink, bim, bink, but dang, we all know that.

SPEAKER_09

We don't, actually.

SPEAKER_10

And then after that, the verse. I said I know the song. I've heard of the song.

SPEAKER_11

Oh yeah.

SPEAKER_03

At least you've heard of that one song.

SPEAKER_11

In the club, party rock, looking for your girl, she on my jock, huh? Nonstop when we in the spot, booty move and wait like she on the block. Woo.

SPEAKER_09

Woo.

SPEAKER_11

And there are two corrections I'm looking for.

SPEAKER_10

What the heck? Only two. I would think that Kids Bop would change like the actual title of party rock anything because party is not okay.

SPEAKER_04

I want to give up on this one.

SPEAKER_03

Uh-uh. Yeah, I I don't know. This is not. There we go. Okay. It's not great.

SPEAKER_11

I think Jerry starts at the show. Jerry did one. Jerry did the last room. I might have gotten off then. I don't know. Either way, we'll start with Daphne. Okay.

SPEAKER_03

We just want to see you shake that in the club potty rock, looking for your girl. She on the floor.

SPEAKER_11

She fell.

SPEAKER_03

Oh no. Don't stop when when we end the spot, dancing like we're on the English morwoo. There you go. English. I don't know.

SPEAKER_10

American Werewolf in London reference. Yes.

SPEAKER_03

Yes, of course. It has to be something because I have no idea.

SPEAKER_10

Uh looking for your girl, she on the clock, huh? So she's working, so leave her alone. Okay. You know? Yeah. And then beauty moving fast, like she on the block. Mm-hmm.

SPEAKER_03

I think Jeff's probably close. Maybe. I don't know. I don't know this one.

SPEAKER_04

Jerry. All I got is we just want to see you make that. Okay. And then looking for your girl, she on the table.

SPEAKER_03

Yes. Yes, Jerry. That's good.

SPEAKER_04

But your girl's still boot moving her booty.

SPEAKER_11

Yeah. Yeah.

SPEAKER_04

How the hell?

SPEAKER_11

Alright, so I was kind of mean on this one. This is kind of a trick question. This is kind of a trick question. Um so really the first change, which Jerry gets the point for, he's the only one that realized they're not telling no kids to shake that.

SPEAKER_10

Yeah, I didn't think so either, but with only two changes.

SPEAKER_11

Yeah. They just want to see you dance that.

SPEAKER_10

Okay.

SPEAKER_11

Uh for some reason. Um, and then the other part is the absolute trick question, they completely removed all the verses from the song, and it's just the chorus over and over because they didn't even want to attempt to rewrite the ass on the thing.

SPEAKER_03

Shame on you for putting us through that.

SPEAKER_10

Jerry only has a limited time left before he goes unconscious.

SPEAKER_03

Oh no, I've already had a screenshot of him having a brief nap in the middle of that question. All right. Just give it give it to Jerry. But I liked, I thought Jeff's.

SPEAKER_11

I gave Jerry a point for the for the shake that to being something different. So he does get that point.

SPEAKER_03

I I like I like Jeff's ideas. I just ran out of it. I'm honestly. My brain capacity is now this one I had to include.

SPEAKER_11

There are four differences that you can get. There are four possible points on the line here. I had, yeah. I had to include this because when I saw that they did this song, I was like, what?

SPEAKER_03

Is it the old town road?

SPEAKER_11

No, they did do that, but it's in the game here. Um this is the song Blue Strips by Jesse Murph.

SPEAKER_02

I've never heard of it.

SPEAKER_11

Never heard of it. No idea Jesse Murph. Never heard of it. In which the lyrics are Yeah, you got me throwing blue strips, bear tits in the strip club, throwing what you jump scared. Jump scare. I guess.

SPEAKER_03

He wasn't ready. He slammed it down. And now he's rebooting.

SPEAKER_11

That's great. Okay. Again.

SPEAKER_03

This is a great time to go to a commercial break.

SPEAKER_11

Brought to you by Redonovan.

SPEAKER_10

Brought to you by Doggy Truck Nets. We're going to start recording those. Yes.

SPEAKER_03

We are. I've got to get Levi on it.

SPEAKER_11

So we'll start off the time lyrics. Yeah, you got me throwing blue strips, bare tits. Calm down, Jake. In the strip club, throwing ones at your bitch, and I know you know what's going on. I'm going home. I'm going to take it off for him. I'm going to strip down all your wrongs. Ah. Four possible points here.

SPEAKER_03

Oh, I, I. Uh.

SPEAKER_11

This is the penultimate. I will do one more after this.

SPEAKER_04

With 17 changes.

SPEAKER_11

It's the entire song.

SPEAKER_04

I'm gonna leave the room if you do that.

SPEAKER_11

I looked to see if they did. WAP, they did not. Uh that is one song. As I said, they're not afraid of any song in my little preamble. Maybe that one is the exception.

SPEAKER_10

What about uh my neck, my back?

SPEAKER_11

My neck, my back. I saw the Cairo crack.

SPEAKER_07

Oh gosh.

SPEAKER_03

I have to go to side two of my whiteboard.

SPEAKER_11

But with four points on the line here, there's a chance for I mean Jerry could just sweep it right now and really put himself where he needs to be.

SPEAKER_00

I keep forgetting my pet my tablet has an undo feature.

SPEAKER_04

No, I can't think of a word. Okay, I'm ready.

SPEAKER_03

No, this will be good. Okay. I mean, you said there were four, so you're basically rewriting most of it. So I've rewritten most of it. If you don't like it, I like it, and whatever, if you don't like it, that's too bad.

SPEAKER_11

Right.

SPEAKER_03

We'll see where it goes. And if the next one has 17 points, I'm signing off.

SPEAKER_11

No, the final one will have three.

SPEAKER_03

Oh my god. Okay. Oh man.

SPEAKER_09

Okay. I'm ready.

SPEAKER_11

Alright. Uh, Jeff, we'll start with you.

SPEAKER_10

Okay. You got me throwing blue strips, uh, bare feet at the beach club, throwing frisbees with your dog, and I know you know what's going on. I'm going home, I'ma take a nap, I'ma sleep off all your words.

SPEAKER_04

Okay. Jerry. Okay. Now I wrote these just for the keywords in this.

SPEAKER_05

Mm-hmm.

SPEAKER_04

And so it goes. You Yeah, you got me throwing blue chips, bare feet in the Sans Sam's Club, throwing chips in your cart. Because I'm going home, I'm making nachos, I will write all the recipes. Alright. Back on the food again. Back on the food again. Yes.

SPEAKER_11

And then definitely.

SPEAKER_03

Alright. Yeah, you got me jumping high jump. Pulls up high for the leap. Back hatching for height, and I know you know what's going on. I'm going for gold, it's the big one. I'm gonna win this for my mom.

unknown

Yes.

SPEAKER_03

I'm sorry. Not sorry. I had I I just ran with it.

SPEAKER_05

Yeah. All right.

SPEAKER_03

Whether you like it or not, I don't care. I like it.

SPEAKER_11

Alright. I'm gonna decide how to do Jerry and Jeff can will be distributed these points, so I'll look at your answers. Because you both nailed the four points that I was going for for sure. It's hard for me to tell if Daphne did, because all of the words are different.

SPEAKER_10

So I don't know what he was. I had a fifth line that I had changed and I ended up erasing it. So I'm curious whether I because Jerry also changed the first line. Yeah.

SPEAKER_11

The first and second line are kind of combined into one change for me.

SPEAKER_10

Yeah. I I had it actually as uh yeah, you got me eating blue chips.

SPEAKER_11

Yeah. So I know uh Jerry's definitely gonna get one, the last one, and we'll get to that. But it starts with Yeah, you got me spending blue chips instead of uh throwing blue strips with friends in the dance floor, sing along all day long, and I know you you know what's going on. I'm going home, I'm gonna make a song for you, I'ma write down all your wrongs. Okay. So I'm giving Jerry that last one because he did say I'm gonna write something in that last line.

SPEAKER_04

All those recipes.

SPEAKER_11

Yeah. So really it's it's deciding out of the two if I can see your answers again on Yeah.

SPEAKER_10

Well, I went with uh a beach theme. Throw bare feet at the beach club throwing frisbees with your dog. Which I think is basically the same thing that you said.

SPEAKER_11

I mean, beach club dance floor, I will actually give you that one. Okay, sure. Um, and then sing long all day long versus the frisbees. Yeah. And what was Jerry's throwing chips in the cart. Uh I'm gonna go with Jeff on that one, too. And then going home, I'm gonna make nachos or take a nap. Which one is closer to make a song for you? Um, make sure you're gonna be. Yeah. So really you kind of split it. Uh two for each of you on that. I like Daphne's uh Olympics version. She just turned it into an Olympic version.

SPEAKER_03

It's an Olympic anthem.

SPEAKER_04

Sure.

SPEAKER_03

Olympic anthem.

SPEAKER_04

Well, you know, I was the the way I was thinking about this is that I said, nah, I can't bring Middle Earth into this one.

SPEAKER_03

I mean, I was thinking that every verse could be about a different sport.

SPEAKER_11

Yeah.

SPEAKER_03

And and different athlete trying to win it for their mom.

SPEAKER_11

Sure. All right. I like it. Going into the final song, final round, we have Daphne with eight points, Jerry with seven. Oh. And Jeff with four. Nice. I'm not sure. No Jerry. There's still room for moving around on here. Yeah. Uh so it I don't want to say anybody's game, but Jeff could overtake Jerry, or Jerry could actually could take the win. And the last song we will do is, of course, a bar song, parentheticals, tipsy, by Shaboozy. Sure.

SPEAKER_03

Yes. Whoever's. And can I say that this song was done originally a long time ago? And it was done a lot better.

SPEAKER_10

You can say that. Who was it done by?

SPEAKER_03

Um. Oh god. Faith Hill? Jake Wall?

SPEAKER_11

Just the one line, the everybody in the which that was everybody in the club getting tipsy. This has turned into everybody in the bar. So, you know, fully different thing.

SPEAKER_02

Not really. No.

SPEAKER_11

But yeah, the lyrics we're looking for. Someone pour me up a double shot of whiskey. They know me and Jack Daniels got a history. There's a party downtown near Fifth Street. Everybody at the bar getting tipsy. There are three changes we're looking for here.

SPEAKER_03

Personally, I don't know how you have a bar song in Kids Bar. Like a bar song. The title of it is ridiculous.

SPEAKER_10

Um. Yeah. The concept of kids bop is ridiculous.

SPEAKER_11

It really is.

SPEAKER_10

Either let your kids listen to the songs or don't let them listen to the songs.

SPEAKER_11

Not creating new songs for them. Okay, I was saying, because they changed. So the kids bop title of this song is a bop song, and then in parentheses, a shaboozy cover.

SPEAKER_03

Oh. That's just dumb.

SPEAKER_10

I'm going with a reference that kids absolutely would be singing about. Okay.

SPEAKER_03

I only know one part of it. For sure. The rest. Oh no.

SPEAKER_09

Okay.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah, that it doesn't wordsmith very well, but maybe.

SPEAKER_11

I don't think they were that control.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah, um, Jay Quan did this song originally. And he did it better. Because it was actually it wasn't a country song.

SPEAKER_10

That does tend to make it better. Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah.

SPEAKER_11

Well start with Jerry once he's ready. Is he ready?

SPEAKER_00

Um, no. We're not ready.

SPEAKER_11

You just kind of keep staring into the camera, so I'm just making it.

SPEAKER_00

I think he's staring into the void.

SPEAKER_11

Yeah.

SPEAKER_03

Uh he's wondering what planet he has he's on right now.

SPEAKER_11

It's like, oh no, the kid's bop has got to him. It's he's been boped.

SPEAKER_03

I think no blitzkrieg bop is a better bop.

SPEAKER_10

Yes, it is. Bop it is a better bop.

SPEAKER_11

Mm-hmm. Soccer boppers are better bops. Even Daphne's getting tired.

SPEAKER_10

Oh no. Peg starts getting tired.

SPEAKER_03

But Jeff.

SPEAKER_10

Yes. Yes. I'll take out the part where you point at a can.

SPEAKER_03

No, there's this much left. And I usually will drink the I drink this much and give the rest to Chris.

SPEAKER_11

She's getting wasted.

SPEAKER_10

I have literally like never been drunk in my life because I can't consume enough alcohol to get drunk before my stomach starts to get full. Yeah. You know, I'm just like, I drink a few, whether it's, you know, I guess, I mean, if I did a number of shots, I'm sure I could. But, you know.

SPEAKER_03

I'm just sipping on straight chlorine.

SPEAKER_04

Sipping on scissor. You're drinking out of a swimming pool? Okay, I am ready.

SPEAKER_11

Okay, then we'll start with you, Jerry, on the changes here.

SPEAKER_04

Okay. Somebody pour me up a double bag of Capri Sun. There's some cake down in the homeroom. And then everybody at the school getting sweetie.

SPEAKER_03

I love it, Jerry. I do.

SPEAKER_04

You're stabbing for points, then I think it's Daphne, what do we have?

SPEAKER_03

Alright. I could only remember one of the lines. The one that goes, they know me and Jack Daniels got a history. It's I'm quite sure they know We and Shaboozie got a history.

SPEAKER_11

Okay.

SPEAKER_03

And I thought the last ru line was something to do with dancing, so I have everybody here dance with me. I don't think that's what it is, but I feel like it's some variation on that.

SPEAKER_11

Isn't there anything else?

SPEAKER_03

No, I don't I know that that um the first one is different, but I don't know what it is. I can't remember.

SPEAKER_10

I also don't know what it is, but I still put an answer.

SPEAKER_11

Tried something. Alright, so Jeff, what were yours?

SPEAKER_10

Okay, um, because we all know how much you know kids, you know, drink this drink. Um someone poured me a double shot of iced tea. They know me and Arnold Palmer got a history. Uh there's a party downtown near Fifth Street, everybody's spinning round getting dizzy.

SPEAKER_03

I like that, Jeff. That's actually probably better than what they came up with.

SPEAKER_10

All right. And Arnold Palmer definitely is Yeah.

SPEAKER_11

Uh so Daphne gets one point for the second part, but I'll start with so the first one. Someone turn it up and dance along with KB.

SPEAKER_03

Oh, from Skeleton Crew?

SPEAKER_10

Yes. It's definitely not an acronym for Kid's pop.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah, no, it's I like it better that it's KB from Skeleton Crew.

SPEAKER_11

Maybe it's KB Toys. So I'll could be. So I we'll see who gets the point on that one. Daphne gets the second point, which is they know we and Shabozy got a history. Do they though? Is correct. I hope not, actually. For Shabozy's sake, you shouldn't be having too much of a history with the computer.

SPEAKER_03

I will tell you, Kebop has been around a very long time because I had a cassette tape of it.

SPEAKER_10

Oh, there's like a hundred CDs or whatever.

SPEAKER_03

I did not even realize that it wasn't the real singers. Like my mom was so proud when she brought it home, and I'm like, okay. And then I realized, oh, that's not how this song really goes.

SPEAKER_11

Uh and then the last one we'll we'll we'll make uh a bet for how we do it because everybody in the place sing it with me. Okay. Is what we're going.

SPEAKER_03

So the dancing was with the first part. I got it all screwed up. It doesn't matter. I got a point for the second one. I'm happy about that.

SPEAKER_10

That's the only thing that matters, is that Daphne got a point.

SPEAKER_11

Daphne didn't go for the first one. So, Jeff and Jerry, what were your first parts again?

SPEAKER_10

Uh double shot of iced tea or double bag of capri son.

SPEAKER_11

Iced tea or capri sun versus just dance with KB. Um I like both of them. They're different. They are different than the actual thing. They're the same in the way that they're different.

SPEAKER_09

Yes.

SPEAKER_11

Uh as just with the Capri Sun KB, I'm gonna give it to Jerry.

SPEAKER_10

He didn't say cup, though, he said bag.

SPEAKER_11

Yeah. But Capri Sun and KB start with the same cu. Um and then so then the last everybody in the place sing it with me. What do we have in the case?

SPEAKER_10

I had everybody spinning around getting dizzy. I don't remember what Jerry had.

SPEAKER_03

And I had everybody here dance with me.

SPEAKER_10

Which is actually pretty close.

SPEAKER_11

Yeah. And then Jerry, what was yours on that last part?

SPEAKER_03

Hang on.

SPEAKER_04

I'd ready to put my uh He put it to sleep.

SPEAKER_03

He was gonna cover it up and give it and lay it on a pillow for night nights.

SPEAKER_04

Everybody at the school getting sweetie.

SPEAKER_11

Yeah, I'm gonna give that one to Daphne again. Sing with me, dance with me. Yeah.

SPEAKER_04

Yep.

SPEAKER_11

So with final scores, Jeff with four. Yay! Jerry with eight, and Daphne, the kid's bop queen, the genius, the master of all things kids bop. We should definitely give her a plaque put up that says that. Uh, ten points.

SPEAKER_03

Honestly, I am gonna take Rachel and Elizabeth out for ice cream.

SPEAKER_10

You're gonna take the famous professional wrestler Rachel out for ice cream.

SPEAKER_03

Yes. Yes, because it's because of them that I know any of this at all. Because I would never listen to this.

SPEAKER_06

Sure you wouldn't.

SPEAKER_03

I wouldn't. You would not find a single kid's bop. It's not my jam.

SPEAKER_10

No. The the songs that they cover typically are not my jam either.

SPEAKER_05

Yeah.

SPEAKER_03

I first learned of the kid's bop that it was still around when Elizabeth was singing a demi lavato song, and the lyrics were not the same.

SPEAKER_04

Was she singing vampire? Is that is that Demi Lovato? No. That's Olivia Rodriguez. Olivia Rodriguez. Yeah. I don't know why I mixed up my singers.

SPEAKER_03

Oh, they would never have a vampire song, Jerry.

SPEAKER_04

If they did, it would it would be it would be umpire.

SPEAKER_03

Umpire, yes. And it would be about baseball, yes. That's what they would do with it. Absolutely.

SPEAKER_04

Now I want to rewrite Lyrics.

SPEAKER_11

They actually have done vampire.

SPEAKER_03

Oh.

SPEAKER_11

What's it called?

SPEAKER_03

Did they make it about Count Chocula?

SPEAKER_11

It is vampire. And again, they don't change the th the like theme or the meaning of the song. Just words.

SPEAKER_03

Randomly.

SPEAKER_11

I'm looking at kind of Yeah, not the biggest changes, so if you know the lyrics to that song. Um which I'll look them up. Because, you know, if we're gonna do it. Here's just where we're learning. It is a educational podcast, uh, after all. Which I do like the lyrics. I've I've recited the lyrics to this song because it was on the final season of You, I think, and we broke it down as how it worked with the uh scene.

SPEAKER_04

The kids pop was on the Yeah.

SPEAKER_03

Uh because Joe did have a son. He had to tone down the music because there were too many other adult.

SPEAKER_11

You only come out at night. I used to think I was smart, but you made me look so naive. The way you sold me for parts and you sunk your teeth into me. Bloodsucker, fame fucker, bleeding me dry like a goddamn vampire. That's the kids pop version? Yes. They really cleaned it up. Um Which is of course, I don't you only come out at night. I used to think I was smart, but you made me look so naive. The way you sold it for parts as you sunk your teeth into me. Kept that. Bloodsucker, dream crusher instead of famefucker, bleed me dry, like a real life vampire. And then, of course, the oh, what a mesmerizing, paralyzing, fucked up little thrill becomes what a mesmerizing, paralyzing, silly little thrill. Except Sally.

SPEAKER_03

Just a silly little guy.

SPEAKER_11

Mm-hmm. But yeah, so there's but so they did do Olivia Rodrigo's Vampire.

SPEAKER_03

I am absolutely shocked. It seems like they would write they would make it about Count Chocula. Which I can't say that I would be against.

SPEAKER_11

But again, I think that's where a lot of people like assume with Kids Bop, like, oh, they write it about a different thing. It's like, no, it's the same song.

SPEAKER_05

Yeah.

SPEAKER_11

They just change certain words, but they don't ever write it about a different thing. And it's not a it's not a parody. It's a cover with explicit or certain risque words changed.

SPEAKER_05

Yes.

SPEAKER_03

Yes. Um, well, we appreciate you listening to this episode of Buffalo Buffalo. It might be one of our longest yet. Um even after Jeff takes out all the bosses.
