Sabbath Part Two Setup

SPEAKER_00

Shalom, shalom saints, and welcome back to the Unfiltered Christian podcast. If you listen to part one, we broke down what the Sabbath is, where it came from, how the timing works, and how Sunday worship became enforced under the Roman authority and not by scripture. If you have not listened, pause, go back and listen to part one. This is part two, we're gonna break it down. So once Yahoo has opened your eyes, you start asking, okay, how do I actually live this out? And I want to say something first. This episode is not to put fear on anybody, it's to help you walk in truth with wisdom, peace, and a real life strategy.

Fear Of Getting Sabbath Wrong

SPEAKER_00

So some of you may be thinking, What if I can't keep the Sabbath perfectly? When people first wake up to the Sabbath truth, many people don't feel peace. They feel pressure. They start thinking, what if I mess up? What if I don't understand everything? What if I don't do it right? But Yah is not shocked by your learning curve. In Psalms 103, verses 13 to 14 it says, Like as a father pitied his children, so Yahuwah pities them that fare him, for he knoweth our frame. He remembered that we are dust. This is a walk, and the father is patient. In Proverbs four verses eighteen it says, But the path of the just is as the shining light that shineth more and more unto the perfect day. So hear me clearly, you are not failing because you are learning, you are growing, and Yah sees your heart. One of my favorite texts is first Samuel 16, verse 7. For Yahuwah seeketh not as man seeketh, for man looketh on the outward appearance, but Yahuwah looketh at the heart. So now I want to go a bit deeper here because this is where many people feel condemned.

Ignorance Versus Rebellion Before Yah

SPEAKER_00

Some of you honored Yah on a Sunday for years, some of you have may have come from another religion, some of you were sincerely seeking and praying and crying out, worshiping, and now you're thinking, was all of that pointless? Listen, Yahweh not petty, he is our father, and we thank we thank him that he is our father. There's a difference between ignorance and rebellion. The scripture speaks on it. Acts 17, verses 30. And the times of his ignorance, Elohim winked at, but now condemneth all men everywhere to repent. That means Yah sees when you didn't know, and he had mercy on you, or has mercy in you. And now that you've come to the truth, he calls you forward. Also look at Cornelius. Cornelius wasn't about Israel, and he wasn't raised in Torah, but Yah still had him. So we're going to look at Acts 10, verses 1 to 4. There was a certain man in you know these words, in um Kar Syria, whatever, called Cornelius, a devout man, and one who fed Elohim with with all of his house, which gave much elms to people, and prayed to Elohim always. He saw a vision, evidently, an angel of Elohim, and when he looked unto him, he was afraid. And he said unto him, Thy prayers and thy alms are come up from a memorial before Elohim. Did you hear that? His prayers came up before Yah. Not but because not because Cornelius had perfect knowledge, but because Cornelius had a sincere heart. And in Hebrews 11, verses 6, but without fear it is impossible to please him. For he that cometh to Elohim must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that dilit diligently seeks him. So if you are wearping if you are worshipping Yah sincerely on a Sunday, or you were still learning, or even if you were coming out of a different religion, Yah saw your pursuit. And when Yah reveals the truth, it is not to shame you, it's to draw you closer. So John 4 verses 23 to 24 says, But the hour cometh and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth, for the Father seeketh such to worship him. Elohim is a spirit, and they that worship him, and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth. He's calling you into truth, not calling you stupid for where you started.

Spiritual Pushback And Warfare

SPEAKER_00

So some people might get a spiritual opposition. The enemy may push back when you start to honor the Sabbath. Now let's be real. When you start to honor the Sabbath, you may notice resistance. Not always, but often. Why? Because you're moving from tradition into obedience, which I spoke about in part one. Scripture tells us we're in a spiritual warfare. Ephesians 6 verses 12 says, For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against rulers of the darkness of the world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. That means the battle is not always people. Sometimes it's pressure, destruction, arguments, tiredness, sudden drama, anything to pull you out of your peace. First Peter 5 verses 8 to 9 says, Be sober, be vigilant, because your adversary, the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seek him whom he may devour, whom resist steadfast in faith. So don't panic if you feel the heat. It doesn't mean you're doing wrong. It may mean you're finally doing something that matters. James 4 verses 7 says, Submit yourself therefore to Elohim. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. And sometimes the opposition is simply your flesh habits, old patterns being challenged. That's real tea.

Keeping Shabbat In A Noisy Home

SPEAKER_00

So for some people, you might be the only one keeping Sabbath in your household, and we're gonna talk about it. This one is heavy, for I'm the only Sabbath keeper in my household as well. Because people will say just keep the Sabbath at home, but they're but they don't always tell you what it looks like. Family playing worldly music, someone's watching TV loudly, people are cooking big meals, someone wants to go out shopping, the atmosphere is not set apart. And if you're the only one trying to honor it, it can feel lonely. But Yah sees you, I see you, because I'm I I go for it. Psalms 34 verses 18 says, Yahuwah is nigh unto them that are of a broken heart and saveth such as be of a contrite spirit. Second, you need covering, wisdom and prayer. You can't force your household, but you can intercede. Job one verses five says, Job sent and sanctified them and offered burnt offering, for Job said, It may be that my sons have sinned. Thus thus did Job continually. Job covered his household in prayer, and you can too. Also, you can ask Jar for grace in how to respond. Colossians four verses five to six says, Walk in wisdom towards them that are without. Let your speech always be with grace. Sometimes your own obedience will convict them without you saying a word. Sometimes it would annoy them. Either way, remain peaceful. If you're keeping it at home and it's hard to focus, here are some practical ways to guard your Shabbat. Create a set apart place, even if it's just your room or in a corner. Put on scripture, audio, worship that honors ya. You can journal, pray, read your Bible, rest, or read a biblical scripture. If the noise is heavy, use headphones, step outside, go for a walk, not for shopping or anything like that. Just to breathe and pray and just be in the comfort of yah. And prepare meals and chores earlier, like the day before, or before like Friday in the morning or Thursday night, to help you to not stress and speak to Yahoo honestly. Father, you see my environment, help me to honour your ways. In Psalm 63, verses 8, it says, Trust in him at all times, pour out your heart before him. Elohim is a refuge for us. So now we're gonna go a

Prayer And Fasting As Tools

SPEAKER_00

bit deeper. Some people try to keep the Sabbath with only knowledge, but Shabbat is spiritual, so you need spiritual tools. Prayer is not optional, it's how you stay aligned. First Thessalonians 5 verses 7 says, Pray without ceasing. And fasting is powerful when you're breaking patterns and coming out of traditions. Matthew 17, 21 says, Howbeit this kind goeth not out by prayer and fasting. And Isaiah 58 verses 6 says, Is not this the fast that I have chosen to loosen the bands of wicked wickedness, to undo the heavy burdens, and to let the oppressed go free? You can fast expect specifically for courage to obey, favor at work, peace in your household, discipline to prepare, protection from distraction, and a stronger relationship with Yah. And when you fast, don't just skip food, replace it with seeking. Jeremiah 29 verses 13 says, And you shall seek me and find me, and when you shall search for me with all your heart.

Navigating Work And Schedule Changes

SPEAKER_00

So now we're going to talk about work, because it's one of the biggest barriers. Some people are convicted, but they work Fridays, late or Saturdays, and they fear of losing their job, being judged, being seen as difficult. First year tells us not to fear man above him. Proverbs 29, verses 20 29 verses 25 says, The fear of man bringeth a snare, but also whoever putteth his trust in Yahuwah shall be safe. Second, approach work with wisdom and excellence. Colossians 3 verses 23 to 24. And whatever ye do, do it heartedly, as to Yahuwah and not unto men, for ye serve the master Messiah. Now, practically, here's a wise way to approach your manager. Choose a calm time, be respectful and clear, offer solutions like swap shifts, earlier hours, working overtime, emphasize reliability and commitment, and put it in writing. You can say something like, I'm happy in my role and I want to keep performing well. I'm also observing a religious day of rest from Friday sunset to Saturday sunset. Is there any way I could adjust my schedule so I'm not causing any hassle at work? And I'll give you an example with myself. When I got baptized, I was still working on a sunset because um in different countries, sometimes the clocks go forward or back, and the sun sets earlier in England in winter. So I used to finish work at five o'clock, sometimes 5:30, but in December times the sun is setting around 3 p.m., 4 p.m. And I was working in a workplace. Uh I was working in two different hospitals, but they're under the same. There's how can I explain it? There's a so there's a chain of hospitals under the same umbrella, if that kind of makes sense. So I was working in one hospital and I got made permanent in another hospital. And the Holy Spirit was pushing me to say, like, do you know what? You've got the job, y'all blessed you with the job, you need to honor him by keeping his Sabbath. And I was so scared, but I remember like fear doesn't come from him. And I wrote an email to my manager about um changing first. I fasted, by the way. I fasted and I prayed about it. There was a pre uh a lady that I used to pray with in my church, and we prayed about it. Um, and she fasted on my behalf, and I wrote the email, and I basically said in the email that I am willing to lose my job um to honour the Sabbath because I I had the means to do so. Well, I know that not everybody is lucky to do what I did, but I went in faith, and I went, I got called in, and it was my manager, and then I saw that the head of Physio was there, and I was quite shocked. And they they said that they don't know about the Sabbath, they wanted to know about the Sabbath because they only knew the Sabbath for um Judaism, which is Jews, and so they were asking me if I was a Jew, so I was like, No, I basically said I'm like seven-day adventures, and they said, Oh, so when did you start taking your religion seriously? And they actually reached out to their sister hospital and found out that I was working on the Sabbath there, so they I was shocked when they brought it up, and I was honest. I said, Well, at that time, I wasn't serious in my faith, um, and now I am, and I understand that I'm messing you about because I didn't say this during my interview, um, but now that's a part of my faith that I'm taking more seriously, and they honored it. I just used to come in earlier on a Friday so that I could leave earlier, and it was adjusted. Um, so just just go in prayer, and sometimes it's not honored. Uh, sometimes there's certain places that it's not honored, and I know that if you work in uh like care, if you're a doctor, nurse, or something within health, I feel like it's okay to work on the Sabbath because Jesus healed on the Sabbath. So when you have a role where you're looking after people, I feel like it's okay. But again, pray about it, because that's what I'm saying. And you might feel differently. Um, so pray before and after. James 1 verses 5 says, If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of Elohim, and it shall be given. And trust Yah for your favor. Proverbs 3 verses 5 to 6 says, Trust in Yahuwah with all thy heart, in all thy ways acknowledge him, and he will direct your path. Sometimes Yah opened doors quickly, sometimes it's gradually, sometimes he shifts you into a new job, but the key is obedience and wisdom.

What To Do On Shabbat

SPEAKER_00

So what do I actually do on the Shabbat? Shabbat is not meant to be a day of stress, it's meant to be a day of delight. In Isaiah 58, verses 3 13 to 14 it says, If thou turn away thy foot from the Sabbath, from doing thy pleasure on my holy day, and call the Sabbath a delight, thou shalt that then shall thou delight themyself in Yahuwah. So Sabbath can look like rest in your body, reading scripture, praying, worship, quiet reflections, teaching your children about the Bible, gratitude, testimony, fellowship if you have people around you, or via phone or internet, turning down the noise that disrupts your spirit. And if your environment is chaotic, remember Yah can meet you in a quiet heart, even in even if your house is loud. Psalms 46:10 says, Be still and know that I am your Elihim.

Handling Mockery Without Pride

SPEAKER_00

I also want to let you know that some people will attack you, some people well, not physically, but like mock you. Some people will say you're doing too much, some people might not understand, especially if it's a massive change. But you don't fight people, you stay grounded. Second Timothy 3 verses 12 says, Yea, all that will live godly in the Messiah Yeshua shall suffer persecution, and you also don't turn Sabbath into pride. Knowledge puffeth up, but charity edifieth. Truth should make you humble, not harsh. If part one gave you knowledge, let part two give you peace. You are not late, you are not disqualified, you are not forgotten. You are being called back. Gently but clearly, Jeremiah six verses sixteen says Stand ye in the ways and see, and ask for old paths, and ye shall find rest for your souls.

Closing Prayer And Blessing

SPEAKER_00

So I just want to say a prayer. Father Yahuwah, we come before you with humble hearts, thanking you for opening our eyes to truth. Thank you for patience while we learn. Thank you that you are our Father who leads, not a master who crushes. Father, cover every silent listener who's trying to honor your Shabbat. Strengthen them where they feel weak. Give them peace where they feel pressured. Give them courage where they feel afraid. We pray for those who are the only ones in their household. Father, make a way quiet for them. Make a way for focus, make a way for obedience. Let their obedience become a light, not a burden. Teach them to intercede for their home like Job did, and to remain gentle and wise. We pray for workplaces and managers. Father, grant favor, grant wisdom in speech, make room for obedience without loss, without fear. Open doors that no man can shut. We pray against destruction, confusion, and spiritual attack. We submit to you and we resist the enemy. Let your spirit strengthen us to stay set apart, holy, and aligned with your ways. And Father, for those who worshipped you on a Sunday sincerely or came from another religion sincerely seeking you, thank you that you saw their hunger. Thank you that you honored their pursuit. And now lead them into the spirit and truth step by step with love and clarity. We trust you, we rest in you, and we honor you. In the name of Yahshua Hamashaik. Shalom, shalom says, Walk in peace, rest in grace, and honor in truth. Amen. And I'll see you soon.
