Let's just say somebody is crazy enough to think that this beautiful message of grace and compassion and love for the ignorant and those that fell out by the way has to be taken advantage of. And that they say something like this, now, Lord, you know I work at Walmart. Lord, I've been stealing regularly over this last six months, but Lord, I know it's all right with you because you're gentle and you're loving. That's foolishness. God's able to separate the heart from the flesh. He knows what's in our hearts. If we're trying to use him when our hearts are far from him, the sacrifices won't work. There remain, therefore, no more sacrifice for sins. It won't work. It's a heart condition. But if we fall because we're ignorant, because we're stupid, because we're weak, and we get up immediately and call upon him for help because we really do love him better. And we don't want to steal or anything else that's stupid and wrong, this is the high priest that we have. It's not for those who don't really care about walking for him and want his covering, and at the same time they want to steal from Walmart. And I know the illustration's ridiculous, but I made it ridiculous or I make it ridiculous in order to bear out the point. Thank God he looks upon our hearts. You know, Peter sinned and Judas sinned and Peter's in heaven and Judas went to hell. Is that fair? One was a sin of the flesh. He blew it, the other was a sin that was calculated of the heart. David sinned grievously, and Saul sinned, Saul went to hell, and David goes to heaven. Is that fair? Yes. God knows the difference between sins of the flesh and sins of a rebellious heart. I'm not talking to anybody who thinks that they should get by having a rebellious heart and kind of using God to get in up there one day. I'm talking about those who are sincere, though weak, but who want to grow in the Lord and move on with Him.
