Building a Business and a Family with Grace
Rachel Swieter, founder of Swieter Interiors, shares her inspiring journey of balancing entrepreneurship, motherhood, and faith. From dreaming of owning a business in middle school to launching her interior design company in 2018, Rachel’s path was anything but linear. Shortly after starting, she and her husband navigated IVF, welcoming twin boys in 2019 and another baby in 2020. With three kids under three, she put her business on hold—an incredibly difficult but necessary choice.
Rachel opens up about the emotional and spiritual challenges of IVF, the deep prayers that carried her through, and the unwavering support of her small circle. When she returned to design, doors opened, and business flourished. Yet, she remains intentional about her priorities—knowing she does not want to work full-time but instead create within the boundaries of motherhood.
She shares wisdom on setting limits, battling mom guilt, and the importance of personal space. Rachel’s story is a reminder that success isn’t about hustle at all costs—it’s about aligning work with life’s deeper purpose. She boldly embraces her role as a mother first while still pursuing her passion for design.
