Project 20 - Week 10 Update | Halfway Point of My Journey to a Sub 20 Minute 5K Parkrun
Welcome back to Project 20! We’ve hit the halfway point! Week 10 is done, and I’m feeling great. The initial shock to the body from the speed and strength sessions is behind me, and everything is coming together.
This week, we added some weights to my strength training, and I’ve started calling my mid-week 13-14k run a “mid run.” The journey is progressing well, and I’m excited for the next 10 weeks as I push towards that sub-20 goal.

Halfway, week 10 of my 20 week program to get sub 20 at Parkrun. I'm at my own cupboard here, which is, it's literally a cupboard. It's a cupboard because I get up early in the morning. It's got its own light, it's got shoes. I know you can only wear one pair at once, but that's not enough. I've even got shoes down here, clothes, flashy lights, headlamps. Watch, Headphones That's my run, that's my run cupboard So that, you know, there is no barrier to me going for a running today Anyhow, Halfway, Week 10 I feel good Which is really different to the first day Sort of four, five, six weeks where I was just, it was a massive shock to the body I think doing speed sessions and strength sessions and just it all Anyhow, it's coming together. I feel good. We've added some weight to my strength We've moved my long run to I call it a mid run. Well, there's just it seems to be that there's runs and long runs There's no short runs. It's no mid runs. But anyhow, I'm now calling it a mid run It's like 13 or 14 kilometers mid run mid week Anyhow, Week 10, halfway. I think it's going well. I know it's going well. See you next week.
