Project 20 - Week 11 Update | Managing Cumulative Fatigue in My Journey to a Sub 20 Minute 5K Parkrun
Welcome back to Project 20! Week 11 is complete, and I’m feeling some of that cumulative fatigue again. With strength, speed, and long runs close together, it's catching up to me, but I'm pushing through.
This week, we’re entering a bit of a down week, focusing on basic 8km runs each day and one strength session, leading up to a fast run on Saturday to check my progress. Looking forward to recharging and seeing where I stand!

Project 20 Week 11
Speaker:It's week 11 and I've got some of that, you know, cumulative fatigue. It's a, it's a couple of words I never thought I'd use so much in my life. Cumulative fatigue going on again at the moment. I think when you sort of put a strength to get session and a speed session and a long run and a combination of those close together without any rest days, sometimes that cumulative fatigue catches up and, uh, I've got a bit of that going on. But it's week 11, just finished. So we're starting, Uh, I guess what is, um, another sort of down week, off week, low week, rest week, whatever you want to call it. So just my basic eight each day, uh, with one strength session going into just, um, a fast Saturday to see, you know, how I'm tracking along the program. So week 11 going great, but just a little, uh, um, but that, that I should, you know, at the other end of this week, there should be a whole lot of, uh, energy and rest and ready to sort of give it a little bit of a, um, you know, Rinse out on Saturday and see how it's all going. So that'll be the end of week 12 at the end of this week. So that's the week 11 update. Um, yeah, it's good. See you next week.
