Project 20 - Week 16 Update | New PB and Final Push for Sub 20 Minute 5K!
Welcome back to Project 20! Week 16 is done, and I hit a new PB for my 5k parkrun! My watch recorded 20:11, while the official parkrun time was 20:14—both beating my previous PB of 20:19 from two and a half years ago.
This has given me the confidence boost I needed as we head into the final four weeks. I’m feeling more motivated than ever to dial in my training, nutrition, and focus. Those last 14 seconds will be tough, but I’m ready to put in the work to make it happen!

Week 16. Week 16 is going well because there was a time trial yesterday and I've gotta, I've gotta, I'm gonna have to rub these out. I don't know why there's two 5k parkruns. You know what? My time on my watch for my 5k was different to the parkrun time. So maybe that's why they exist in two little spots there. On my watch was 2011. I felt like I certainly hit it when we started and clicked it off well after I passed the finish line. So maybe I was just a There was a lag, so I don't know. My park run time was 2014, my watch was 2011. Either way, it is a PB over my 2019 from two and a half years ago. For all of the ups and downs during this Project 20 Yesterday felt good. It was probably leading into this last four weeks is the confidence boost. I didn't know I needed Funny about those things sometimes I feel good I feel more motivated than at any point now since I started this 16 weeks ago to really just dial in and consider what I'm eating when I'm eating it alcohol consumption when I turn up to You speed sessions and strength sessions, making sure I'm present. I understand what I've got to do, get in and do it. Cause I think those 14 seconds, 11 seconds are going to be tough, but if I put in the work and it all comes together, that's I liked how I feel. I like how I felt all day yesterday after, That time that PB for 5K. So I want that again. I want that again. And I certainly want that with a 19 in front of it. So week 16 yeah, awesome. I feel like I'm absolutely on track and I feel like the next four weeks matter more than or equal, I've got to make sure I'm not just Continue the path. I'm doubling down. I'm, not doubling down. I feel there's not much more I can do than what I've been doing, but I'm certainly going to just, the 1%, the 2%, the 3 percent if I can push a little harder here, eat a little better, knock out the alcohol bye bye 14 seconds. Anyhow, Week 16, four to go.
