Project 20 - Week 20 Update | Lingering Fatigue and Reassessing the Goal
Welcome back to Project 20! Week 20 was supposed to be the final week where I hit that sub-20 5k goal, but COVID threw a wrench in the plan. While I’ve recovered from the virus, the fatigue has lingered longer than expected, affecting my legs and overall endurance.
I’m back in training, but I’m not yet at the level I was before COVID. So, we’re taking it week by week, and I’m committed to seeing this through—even if it becomes my Christmas goal.

So this is the week 20 update. It was supposed to be the update where I, did the thing that I set out to do. And, well, of course, you know, COVID. So that, has impacted me more than I thought because I just had cold and flu, tired. And that passed after a couple of days and, I went back to testing negative, but I'm still tired. My legs are still, my legs go from feeling okay some days to this morning, I went for, my 8k run and they just felt like I've done a half marathon in the last couple of days. So anyhow, we're back into training starting last week and that just really hit the body. So I don't think I've just lost the time that We weren't training. I think I've lost a little, I've gone back a little bit, maybe. I don't know. I'm certainly not back to where I was yet. So I think I was, ambitious thinking it's now, going to be a 24 week thing. I don't know. I need to just reassess it each week. Maybe this is the week I'll go back to training, tomorrow speed session, maybe it'll all unfold. Like normal and I'm back on the track, but track pun But it just doesn't feel like that. I'm struggling to get back to where I was and Hopefully that changes soon. So that's the week 20 update the This is the project 20 of that just seems to keep going. We'll bring it to an end. I'm 11 seconds. I got so close. We're getting there. We're doing it So I just, maybe it's going to be my Christmas present. Oh, that's, it'll be close maybe. Anyhow, that's the week 20 update. There's, for those that thought you were just going to listen to this for 20 weeks and be done with me, uh, uh, see you next week.
