Project 20 - Week 23 Update | Best Track Session Yet and New Sub-20 Timeline

Welcome back to Project 20!  Week 23, and we might finally be back on track. Friday’s track session was my best yet—absolutely smashed it!  It was a huge confidence boost after a slow start earlier in the week.

Coach Carl has planned a time trial for next Saturday, with a potential sub-20 attempt set for December 21. I’m cautiously optimistic and excited to see how the time trial goes before locking in the date. Let’s keep this momentum going!

Week 23, and we might be back on track. There's nothing like a track session. Track session, I really used to hate track. And just, every time I do a track session now, I come away from there feeling I, I, I, you know, I'm doing Maybe it's the short distance, so you can just in your mind go, it's just 400 or it's just 200, just push. So I think Friday was probably one of the, or if not the best track session I've done. Smashed it. So that was good, which is different to Tuesday. Tuesday I was just sore. So I thought it was going to be another one of those weeks where I'm like, Oh, I'm not, I don't know. And then I just smashed it at track so much. So coach Carl sent me a message yesterday going time trial next Saturday. Four weeks after that, let's do it. And I'm like, ah, so I, I, I said, you know what? That all sounds good. but I think that the time trial Saturday week or, you know, time trial in a week from now is going to probably, I probably want to, you know, see how I go with that before I can probably mentally lock into something on the 21st of December. And that'll be a nice little present for Christmas, right? I'm into giving myself presents for Christmas. So yeah, that'll work. So that's the update. three, twenty something. We're well into overtime because of COVID. Weeks ago, a little bit of recovery, taking a little longer than normal, but last week felt good or tracked it. So let's, I just, I mean, the, the track speed's fine. I just got to hold it for, well, not 20 minutes, 1959. Week 23 update. I'll let you know more next week after I've done a time trial.
