Getting kicked out was new but it’s pretty cool how they talk about why it happened. Darren and Kim have been though lots of challenges but they never, ever stop learning! As we reflect back on 2023, there is much to be grateful for, though the path has held its share of rocks and steep climbs. Kim and Darren have faced financial hardship, health crises, and now stand at the foot of a mountain as we work to build our legacy business. This episode reflects on several cool experiences from the past, and some new developments for the future. Here’s just one of their great stories Kim and Darren have built businesses and pursued audacious goals like Ironman triathlons. Kim shares how she still gets nervous thinking about the cycling trip where I faced a daunting 12-mile ascent on the final day. As she visualized the struggle, she almost backed out. After a conversation with her coach who warned if she didn't try, she'd never be part of the shared stories of achievement on the other side. Hear how Kim decided to deal with the bike climb and the huge climbthat was ahead of her that day. Now Kim and Darren stand facing another big climb as they work to grow their legacy business. Just like that cycling trip, the path we've embarked upon requires patience, faith and fortitude. At times the incline seems relentlessly steep. But they intend to take it step-by-step, hand-in-hand because they know the exhilarating views at the top will make every ounce of effort worthwhile. As they reflect back on 2023, facing difficulties side-by-side has enriched ourpartnership and life journey. Their relationship deepens with every milestone.
