Somebody can be out on bond and still be in free fall. We start with the lighter stuff, Tiger Woods, celebrity culture, and why so many people are done taking political cues from famous faces, then we get into the heavy reality behind bail bonds and pretrial release. Gas prices, world tension, and travel anxiety all sit in the background of the same question we deal with every week: can you trust someone to follow bond conditions and show up to court when their life is unstable?

Then we tell a fresh bondsman story from North Carolina that turns fast. A client stops staying in contact, her parents panic, and we decide to revoke the bond before it goes bad. The search takes us into a rural camper setup in Duplin County where storm damage and rough living conditions are everywhere. What we hear behind a tarp-covered window raises serious red flags, and the recovery becomes less about paperwork and more about getting someone out of a volatile situation without making it worse.

After we finally get her moving, the jail won’t accept her until she’s medically cleared, which means a quick trip to the hospital, a wheelchair run, and then a chaotic intake back at the jail. We talk honestly about how mental health and substance abuse can complicate every step, and why families sometimes feel relief when a loved one is at least located and supervised. If you care about how bail works, what “concealment” means, and what bond revocation looks like in real life, this one brings it all home.

Welcome And Bail Bond Basics

SPEAKER_00

When people are released from jail, they have a responsibility to appear in court. But if some of these people choose to go on the run, they go back on the money. And that is when these guys come into the picture. And listen to the off podcast. Very five people on both sides. These are real stories, but the names have been changed.

SPEAKER_01

Rob here. And I'm Chad. What's up? What's happening? Alright. So we're gonna get right into it, bro. Let's do it. Alright.

Tiger Woods And A Golf Meme

SPEAKER_01

So did you hear about Tiger Woods?

SPEAKER_02

Man. He didn't learn. Tiger man, what's going on in your life, man? What's going on, dude?

SPEAKER_01

But like, what'd you what is that meme you we're talking about?

SPEAKER_02

Oh, yeah, it's that one with uh John Daly, you know, where he's like on the course and he's wearing like the crazy clothes and he's like puffing on a cigarette. Right. And he's looking over it over to other guys, Tiger. He said, uh he said, I was talking about drive down the the fairway, not the road. Like something to do with that, man. It's like talking about drinking, you know, and there's John Daly who's notorious for drinking. I know, right? I I don't understand it. I saw something come out, like I haven't really paid attention to the thing. I just see it.

SPEAKER_01

He likes to flip cars evidently when he oh my god, when he goes, he goes all out, don't he? It does. It does. I wonder what his bond was.

SPEAKER_02

I don't know, man. Where was it?

SPEAKER_01

I had probably Florida. Florida, probably. Um you know how Florida is. Florida's like they're crazy there.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah. There's a lot of a lot of aspects to Florida, man. I kind of like certain areas of Florida. Yeah, I do too. I like their governor.

When Celebrities Preach Politics

SPEAKER_02

Yep.

SPEAKER_01

Oh, well, speaking of celebrities, aren't you glad that like people are kind of not paying attention to celebrities anymore?

SPEAKER_02

I like a couple of them. Like, I just caught uh Vince Vaughn and Theo Theo Vaughn. Uh-huh. And uh there was a there's a segment there that cut out there that uh was put on other platforms that they were talking about. Vince Vaughn was talking about uh the other celebrities and how um nobody gives a shit about their opinions on uh on politics.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, yeah. I know, right? And it's so much better when they just shut their mouths and I saw something about Bill Morris was talking about the same thing, Delma. Hey Democrats, you ever want to win again? Stop this shit. And it and it showed like somebody from the Oscars that talking about indigenous people, we're gonna celebrate you.

SPEAKER_02

All those like, you know, parties, celebrations of themselves is that's all it is, and then they they want to talk about how great their party is. But yeah, tell me some things y'all did again.

SPEAKER_01

But celebrities do do like do your acting. Uh Gene Simmons said it best.

SPEAKER_02

Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah. I did catch what he said. Yeah, nobody nobody cares. I I don't care that you want you know who I voted for, or I don't care who you voted for. I don't want to know your politics.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, they're not experts, they're they're experts on making movies and stuff.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, just because you have a platform that a lot of people may tune into to see what you're doing, doesn't mean that your opinion means anything.

No Kings Protest Reactions

SPEAKER_02

Right.

SPEAKER_01

You know, just like people at the No Kings protest this past week.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

I still don't understand. Uh No Kings are.

SPEAKER_02

Commented on one of the pictures, man. It was like it was a bunch of people running around and like they all look crazy as hell. I said, You can smell the Prozac in this picture. It's true.

SPEAKER_01

It's all I'm telling you, never.

SPEAKER_02

It's true. I don't care. I love that guy.

SPEAKER_01

Uh I don't know. They they might be on it or they might not be on it.

SPEAKER_02

I mean, who knows? Either way, it's a lose for everybody else around the body.

SPEAKER_01

It's horrible, man.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

Like I don't I still don't get it, but whatever, you know. I mean, it's I mean, I I saw I this is a meme saying Trump got a bunch of fat white women that can do something, yeah, get out and protest.

SPEAKER_02

I did see the the Trump thing he put out. It was like, thank you for showing up at the No Kings. I was worried that somebody's gonna take it to come and take over uh my presidency. Yeah, but thanks to you, no one did. Thank you for your for your support.

SPEAKER_01

I don't get it. I don't like it.

SPEAKER_02

It's just a whining party about one side that lost and they still can't get over it. I mean, deal with it. We dealt with freaking Biden for four years or whoever was running the show, and you know, we dealt with it. Right. Suck it up, buttercup. Deal with it. You'll have your chance in like a little less than three years. So there. There you go.

SPEAKER_01

Well, we'll put somebody that's decent.

Gas Prices Iran And Border Worries

SPEAKER_01

Yep. All right, so continuing on with our conversation there, sir. All right. So we know that, you know, uh we got no kings, you know. Cool, of course, you know President Trump is, you know, King Trump, whatever. Whatever. Do you think we could we could say that we can call him King Trump on the show here just to piss people off? I mean, whatever.

SPEAKER_02

I mean, I don't I don't I don't I don't I mean I know the guy thinks highly of himself and Yeah, well here's here I got a couple of issues.

SPEAKER_01

And maybe uh and maybe we could this is a great discussion for him. Okay. All right. Gas prices.

SPEAKER_02

Not happy. I know a lot of people are I drive electric. Oh yeah. I'm all right, am I right? But I have a big truck too, so it it takes gas, but I don't drive that a lot.

SPEAKER_01

Well, my you know, my my site ready services, uh I that I have a truck for it, it's a big old diesel and my excavator's diesel, my tractor's diesel, everything's diesel, and it's 553 a gallon right now.

SPEAKER_02

In this in this area, and I'm sure people listen in California, it's crazy out there. Yeah, I know. It always is.

SPEAKER_01

It's like, okay, if you're you you got midterms coming up, you know, it's all this is going to affect it because he you know he ran on affordability, right? Right. He ran, he ran on that, he ran on gas prices, blah, blah, blah. And now the Iran everything did come down.

SPEAKER_02

Um everything like that.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, it was coming down, and then the Iran conflict happened. And then it like the gas prices went up. Well, to ensure that you you know a Republican won't get back in office again is screw screw some people. I mean, I I'm not happy with it.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, a lot of people aren't.

SPEAKER_01

I don't and I don't want to see boots on the ground either. I'm tired of like endless wars across the Middle East. You know what? If they want to be crazy over there, let them be crazy over there by themselves. But then again, you don't want to you don't want them to have nuclear weapons.

SPEAKER_02

What did we hear from Alex Jones?

SPEAKER_01

Oh, yeah.

SPEAKER_02

So Alex Jones, I I heard that guy's a lot of his stuff has been correct. A lot.

SPEAKER_01

He said that through our southern border, Iran has snuck land-to-air missiles through our southern border. It's in on US soul right now. Like, how do you do that? Well, I I one, I I can believe it because Joe Biden was it was open border policy. That's yeah. I mean, I can believe that. But how in the hell are we supposed to like how are they supposed to find out where these are?

SPEAKER_02

No, that's why it's good to have borders, I guess. Well, everybody else has got 'em. Everybody else does. Um yeah. So anyway, um I don't know, man.

SPEAKER_01

It's it's it's it's it's it's very um it's very uh I don't know, it's scary almost because you know you know, I we've got I've got, you know, you and I both have got trips coming up where we'll be flying to different places and they're putting warnings out for Americans for everywhere in the world. Like, come on, like can't we all just get along?

unknown

Yeah.

SPEAKER_02

Well, an ideal world, yes. Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

Um, ideally, but well, speaking of airports, how's about ice ice agents in the airports?

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, the only thing is they're not trained TSA people that I was listening to. Right. Um I don't know how how difficult it is from ice to I've seen a lot of videos just them helping.

SPEAKER_01

Like, hey, go down here, hey, go here, here, here's some water, here. Yeah, uh, you need directions, you know. They're they're out there helping. I think they just got funded.

SPEAKER_02

Like I thought I heard on the news this morning that they they got funded. Yeah, they didn't. So the TSA thing should be returning um shortly.

SPEAKER_01

I don't get it, man. All these damn Congress people, you Well, they won't they won't fund they won't fund the everyday average of working American like TSA and stuff like that out here, ice agents or whatever. But they're getting paid.

SPEAKER_02

Hey, there goes some uh No Kings protesters. Oh yeah, crazy purple hair. Yeah, the purple hair that went by.

SPEAKER_01

Guys, I'm I'm I'm for real. Like, if you can look at if you if you sit where we're sitting, like in like behind the camera, there's our we got a big old glass door. We're like a fish bull in here.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

And like people walk by.

SPEAKER_02

You see crazy walk by all the time.

SPEAKER_01

You see crazy all the time. It's funny. Uh wish y'all could see.

Revoking A Bond Before Court

SPEAKER_01

So on today's episode, we have a fresh story, sir.

SPEAKER_02

I got a new one for you. Um this is with uh myself and uh other uh bondsmen here, James. That um so we had a situation where we had to revoke a bond uh uh before it went bad, uh before she missed court. And uh this was due to so when you're bonded here in this this state, there there are certain rules you have to follow to be on bond. And one of them is you have to stay in contact with your bondsman to let us know if you change your address. Right. If you do not do that, we cannot get up with you by phone, by writing by the address you gave us, is considered concealment. You're hiding at that point. Right. All right. So we even had confirmation from the parents that signed for this bond. They were worried about her because this particular girl, she also had a mental situation she was getting treatment for. She stopped getting treatment for it for about a month, and she missed uh two or three of her appointments. And so this is what made the the father was just a nervous wreck, um, worried about his daughter because mixed mix a mental situation with drugs, yeah.

SPEAKER_01

It's not a bad ever pretty bad.

SPEAKER_02

It's a bad mixture. So this was something I didn't know about this girl. He had to fill me in on, you know, all about what she was about, and uh like okay, this will be interesting. So we ride to uh an area up here that's very rural. Um this was affected by Florence, the flood that we had here from that hurricane years ago, where people had to live, like their homes got flooded in this area years ago, and a lot of them haven't recovered. A lot of them live in campers there.

SPEAKER_01

Right.

SPEAKER_02

You know, you'll see a home, it looks like you know it's livable, but it's probably full of mold inside of it stuff from all the water that got in it and never you know, never got fixed. There's a bunch, there's a bunch of places like that. Yeah, and so we pull up and we're scouting out the area, and sure enough, there's just like this old house, and there's like a like really old house. I mean old.

SPEAKER_01

Like well, you mean like like 1800?

SPEAKER_02

Old southern, like, you know, like nobody should be living in, even if it's yeah, so like 1800, like like eight late 1800s, and then there were like four campers around and like a bunch of junk, man. It was like you know, dirty south stuff, you know. You hear people say like the dirty south. Well, this is the dirty south area that we were in.

SPEAKER_01

Right, right.

SPEAKER_02

And then he just trashed it up with like all kinds of junk. Anyway, campers and you know, like there's gotta be a pit bull running around there somewhere type place, you know. Sure enough, there was actually, there was a pit bull there. Um, luckily he was friendly. Um could have bit my leg. He was thinking about it, but he was kind of lazy. Um, we're walking around this place looking, and there's just trash everywhere. And uh we were told that she was staying in a camper. Now, this wasn't where we originally had her staying. She just up and left, and this is an address we're checking out. Right, right. So this is third party. So we don't really have right to go into third party. So we gotta check it out. We go to there's another, there's like, like I said, there's like four. We go next door, and uh, well, this is like one o'clock in the afternoon, and um, you know, everybody should be awake by now. Yeah, should be something. And so we go over to this this camper and knock on it, and this lady comes up, you know, opens the door, and we describe the girl that we're looking for. And he she's just like, Yeah, I think she stays back there behind that old house and the camper back there. I see a girl that fits that description from time to time. So we're like, okay, we're in the right spot, we think.

SPEAKER_01

Could they could they see like uh right now? Could they like if if she if the crackhead whatever she was on, uh can she see you right now?

SPEAKER_02

From where we're at, no. No. There was an old house in the way and like we were like before you got to that and over. And there's like there was like like an old tractor trailer, you know, like the the trailers that um rigs pull, you know, the big big rectangular trailers. There was one of those and it was like blocking the whole area over there, so it's almost like a fence.

SPEAKER_01

Alright.

SPEAKER_02

And then there was broken down cars and you know, just trash everywhere. Did you see any needles laying around anywhere? No, didn't see anything like that. Um but that doesn't mean there's nothing going on. Right, right, right. Um we we ended up going back there and there was a truck back there, and then there was a camper, and it was an old crappy looking place. And um, we walk around it, we banged on the door, nobody came. And that's when we started walking around to the other places. And we were inside that old house, the one I was telling you about. There's just like the windows were busted out. Like nobody should be living in that, honestly. With it's been cold here, it's starting to get warm now, but it was really cold. There's no way you can stay warm in that place. And I mean, we're talking like this house had to be over a hundred years old. Just windows broken out of anyway. Um we go back and we're kind of walking back, and we're inside of there, and we hear some stop it, leave me alone. We hear this, and like I'm like, dude, you hear that? Yeah. And so we walk, you know, we creep over there and we get up underneath the uh the back of the camper, and they had like a evidently the window had been broken or something. They used to um what do you call it? Um that you cover up your house, like after a a tarp, tarp, yeah, tarp. They had a tarp over the window, so it was not like you know holding sound in very well or insulation. And uh, so we're sitting back there and he starts recording, you know, what's going on. And this guy, so this the the situation was the the girl, and I say girl, uh she's probably like 32 years old, I guess. Well, there was this older gentleman, it looked like he was in his 60s and he was living back there, according to the lady at front, and we could hear a female's voice. That's obviously the girl that we were looking for. Right. Well, the the the man's son was gone. What'd he say? What was he saying? Well, hold on, hold on. The the the he had a son, he was gone. Evidently, the son was with the daughter. Like they were a couple. Uh-huh. Well, this old man was trying to hit on this girl. Like he was like, Come here, girl. You know, she's like, get off me, leave me alone. But we also know that she's not wound tight mentally either. Oh, yeah. So we don't know if it's like, you know, so we we keep listening and he's he's trying to force himself on her and uh she ain't having it. Give me some says something about her toe was broke. And uh and and later on we found out that she was not lying, or well, I don't know if it was broken, but somebody she's trying to jump a propane tank and and stubbed her toe. Uh-huh. This was before we came along. Like, what are you doing out here? You know, jumping propane tanks and stubbing your toes, breaking your toes. Anyway, she's probably high. Who knows, man? I don't know. It's crazy.

SPEAKER_01

All right. So so they're having this conversation. You're outside the window.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah. Well, we're just listening, recording.

SPEAKER_01

You're listening, recording. So Wendy's all said, all right, we gotta do, we gotta do something, we gotta make, you know.

SPEAKER_02

So we wait, we wait till things kind of die down. Because he was thinking, James was thinking, uh, well, they're gonna have a cigarette and come outside in a minute, you know. Strong chance of that happening.

SPEAKER_01

Right.

SPEAKER_02

But after waiting while and the and the and everything died down inside, we we know for sure they're in there, so there's no exit out of the back. So we go uh he's like, What do you want to do? I say, well, let's go bang on the door, let's

Outside The Camper Listening In

SPEAKER_02

get them out here. We know they're in there. So we go around there and bang on it. Guy's like, Who is it? Said, James is like, uh, I'm a friend of her of uh Susie's. Uh I need to talk to her. She ain't coming out. He said, James is like, Yeah, she's coming out. We're going to talk. And uh he goes, Who are you? I said, I'm a friend of hers. I need to speak to her. She knows who I am. She ain't coming out. He said, I'm her bondsman, and uh, we're gonna get the cops down here and we're gonna get her out here. He's like, you can hear him in there. I told you. I told you it's the law, you know. He just thought we were the law. Whatever. Um we didn't address ourselves that way. We told him we were bondsmen. But we are. But we can get the law down there.

SPEAKER_01

Right, right. What can what county is this?

SPEAKER_02

This was in Duplin.

SPEAKER_01

Okay, well, God, yeah, yeah, that's right. Yeah, okay.

SPEAKER_02

So yeah, yeah, it makes a lot of sense. Yeah, yeah. So so the guy, like, eventually he comes out and he's like got a shirt off and pair of shorts on and uh barefooted.

SPEAKER_01

Crooked finger and crooked throat.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, he came out, he he came out and like came down the steps of that thing, and like I immediately knew what he had on his leg, man. I was like, because I knew how painful that that is. And uh you missed that. Um it was so painful what he had. He had cellulitis on his leg, man. And uh I had that one time, man. Super painful. And um he had like a toe. That was like shooting off. It was pointing west. And he had a finger. Oh, it's point each. It looked like somebody said still and broke it. And like is a trigger finger. It was like going north. Yeah. South, whatever. Another direction than it should be. And uh and man, he's just all jacked up, man. I'm like, this dude ain't doing anything, man. He probably couldn't even we were concerned because we went and kind of got back behind a uh truck that was out there because we don't know. He'd come out and he ain't got a lot to lose. He'd come out with a shotgun and shoot him, you know.

SPEAKER_01

If he'd get his finger on trigger. Yeah, if he could.

SPEAKER_02

I was I can't remember if it was right hand or left hand, but you know, they call it a trigger finger. Anyway, um So you so y'all what does he do? Does he let y'all in? Well, initially he he's uh trying to cover his tracks about I guess what he was what he was doing in there. He was trying to tell us, you know, that uh she was crazy and trying to separate himself from what what what what we may have heard. Right, you know, which we did here. And it turns out I don't know who was the worst of the two, was her or him, because she definitely was crazy and sound like he was trying to take advantage of crazy.

SPEAKER_01

Okay.

SPEAKER_02

You know, did you tell him that we don't give a damn about you? Uh well, we were like, listen, man, um we did not tell him at that time that she was going back to jail. We trying to get her out of the trailer. She's still in there, she won't come out. And uh we waited and waited, and uh, she just sat in there and was just talking to herself. And so we had to go in and get her out. And she just had a robe, and like we're like, you need to get dressed, we've got to go. I'm not going anywhere, you know, that kind of thing. And um after a while, man, got her got her to put some stuff on and um got her in the car. It wasn't easy because she wouldn't walk, claimed her foot was broken, which later on she walked.

SPEAKER_01

So we don't it was funny, you should you send me some pictures, you're like, this was my day.

SPEAKER_02

Right.

SPEAKER_01

I was like, oh my god, I I know them days, and they're that's not fun.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, yeah, they're not. Um

Hospital Clearance Then Jail Intake

SPEAKER_02

I could smell it through the picture. Yeah, you can smell it. Um, so we get her back to the jail, and they won't admit her because she's all messed up. They they said she needs to get medically cleared. Luckily in Duplin County, the hospital is literally, you step out of the jail, it's literally behind it.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, yeah, yeah.

SPEAKER_02

So James is like, I'll go get a wheelchair from uh the hospital. He he went down there and got a wheelchair, came back. It's funny, my uh had my Tesla, I had Carrie did all this shit in my car. Uh I had to sterilize my car. Um sterilize it again for a second time, just for good measure. And uh it my camera caught all of it. We were in the Sally port. We pull in the Sally port to get her out and everything, and my camera like recorded all that James with the thing and everything. We got all that. I was playing it back. I was like, I didn't know my car did that. Um But uh we we got her down to the uh hospital and they checked her out and everything, and she was okay, other than crazy. So they discharged her in 10 minutes, um, gave us the paperwork, we went back and the jailer. Here you go. Yeah, and the jailer's like, you know, okay, we'll take her. And like she would not take off. She had like a ton of earrings and bracelets and necklace, and she wouldn't take anything off. So he's like, Go get my, go get my clippers. Told one of the other jailers there. He came out there and uh brought him, he started like cutting your earrings off. She started crying, you know, whining about all that. Yeah, you know, don't touch me. So she was very hard to deal with, very uh dealing with a mental person like that is a touchy situation. Um you know, you try to respect them as much as possible, but you gotta get you gotta get stuff done. You gotta, you know, it ain't gonna stop it from happening. Right. And then we called her parents after she was in there and let them know, and they were relieved actually because they were worried about her being out there doing drugs or doing being without her meds. Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

Well, I mean Wow. Yeah. So so that's that's uh that problem is taken care of.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, you know, not too often do you have to go get a person before. Oh no, no. Um you know, getting somebody before they miss court, but that's a thing too, you know we have to do from time to time.

SPEAKER_01

You know, uh you ain't got a choice sometimes.

SPEAKER_02

Right. Especially like in this situation. Things change. People get people out and you know, they they have plans to give them help. Yeah. And sometimes this don't happen. No, there's still people, they can still relocate, they can still um have choices.

SPEAKER_01

That was a story, uh Susie? We're gonna call it

Calling Parents And Closing The Case

SPEAKER_01

Susie. We're calling her Susie. So there you go, Susie. Hey, it did you text dog?

SPEAKER_02

Oh no, he he texts me and he's gonna call when he gets back from the grocery store or something.

SPEAKER_01

Dog at a grocery store.

SPEAKER_02

Imagine could you see that? I don't know. I I just think of everything that he does outside of uh looking for people is strange, you know.

SPEAKER_01

Right, right, right, right.

SPEAKER_02

He he oh he told me a story about um because I told him about when he comes here that uh it'll be right after the Azalea Festival here. Right. And so everything will be in bloom. Right. And he's he went on to tell me a story about uh his horticulture days. Oh. Yeah, that's one you probably never heard of. No, yeah, I'll get him to tell it to you. It was funny. I don't want to repeat it because I'll get it wrong, but the term horticulture took on new meeting with him. Think about it. Think about it. It was funny.

SPEAKER_01

I can't wait to talk to him.

SPEAKER_02

Dog, if you're listening, man, it was hilarious. All right, we're gonna we're gonna have a good good time.

SPEAKER_01

I can't wait. I cannot wait.

VIP Auction Plans And TV Nostalgia

SPEAKER_01

Oh, uh, we're gonna uh tell everybody about this nice damn banner we're having made for the podcast. So if you're uh if you're listening and you're coming to the event, we will be uh auctioning that off. Yeah, they're all gonna sign it.

SPEAKER_02

Uh there's gonna be all the sponsors, and they're gonna sign the other side of it. Um dog likes the idea, and it's a cool looking picture that uh we created, and uh, we're gonna auction that off. That'll be one of the things. And Hunter uh from uh Momentum Distillery is going to donate a couple of bottles where he's gonna, and I was telling Dog about this too, is um, you know, he got the patent on the North Carolina shaped vodka bottle that he sells, which I think is brilliant. And it's and it's decent vodka, it's not bad. And so on the back side, so it's clear in the front. So on the back side, he um he has this machine that will etch um artwork in the back. So you look through it and you see the artwork on the back side. So he's gonna put his logo, I guess, in there. Oh yeah, I guess. He did some really cool things. That's gonna be cool, man. He did like the North Carolina Duke um logos and stuff, and looks cool.

SPEAKER_01

It's gonna be awesome. Like, Lily, if you haven't got your tickets and you want to come to the VIP podcast, it's gonna be worth it. Yeah. Go get your tickets because they're selling out pretty they're they're starting to to sell out.

SPEAKER_02

And we've got quite a few, we've got quite a little bit left, but we're gonna put together a real good um questionnaire for that event.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah. And then of course the people at the VIPs get to uh to be a part of the podcast and ask.

SPEAKER_02

You get to ask your questions that you may have you know been willing to ask. I mean, you know, some of these people, um, and the responses I've gotten from people that um are asking me about it, you know, this is uh a show that people have watched for years.

SPEAKER_01

It's over 20 years, bro.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, so like, you know, this a lot of people liked it a lot. You know what's funny? It was the number one show on AE.

SPEAKER_01

So my mom was a big fan before she passed away. And when I we walked into her uh apartment yeah right after she passed away, uh-huh. Uh me and my brother walked in. There was dog playing on the TV screen. Oh really? Yeah, it was dog playing. And then uh she she watched all the time. And then then my grandma the other day, I walked in, you know, she's staying with me right now at the moment until we get tiny house built. I I walk into her room and then she's got dog and Leland on T's just like, I'm watching them, I'm keeping up with them. I'm like, Mama, that was like 20 years ago.

SPEAKER_02

But hey, good for you. I mean, you know, some of these like I still like old shows, man. Like, you know, I'll rerun the heck out of some stuff. A long time ago, but ain't a whole lot good on today, in my opinion. Home improvement was a great one. Oh, yeah, there was there was quite a few. I mean, I liked uh Seinfeld, I like Friends. Yeah, um there was some good stuff, they don't have that no more. No, they don't, man. Those those were cool shows, and it's so funny. Like my kids, um, they'll watch um what I always say it, like Little House and Prairie, like that's way old. Yeah. But you know, kids like that stuff for some reason. Like, I mean, you can even talk about Leave It to Beaver or the Andy Griffith show.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah.

SPEAKER_02

I mean, very old shows, but hee-haw, baby.

SPEAKER_01

That was my favorite when I was a kid.

SPEAKER_02

It was simple, simple stuff that there wasn't like reality. It wasn't reality TV. It wasn't stupid like trans stuff or you know, just like political stuff that you see in all the shows today. It was just entertainment. Good wholesome. That's all it was. Good wholesome entertainment. And that's that's what we're missing. Like everything's got a hidden agenda in it, or not so hidden, or you know, it's just you can't relax and just be entertained without offending or not offending. You know, it's it's it's kinda on a hand, man. Yeah, I don't know how you're gonna change it.

SPEAKER_01

Who knows? Who knows? Who knows? Well, Chad, that was a great story. That's pretty cool, right? Yeah, yeah, yeah. Absolutely. All right, guys.
