Terry Portelli’s influence in the Australian property industry isn’t just about sales and figures—it’s about creating lasting communities. Known for his strategic foresight and deep industry knowledge, he has been instrumental in helping developers navigate market complexities while delivering projects built for the long term. His ability to align developer goals with buyer needs has made him a trusted advisor.
Since 2019, Terry has been deeply involved with Hands Across the Water, an incredibly passionate cause. His commitment to meaningful impact goes beyond property, it’s about giving back to the community.
Introduced to the organisation by one of the development partners, OYOB, he took on the challenge of a 500-kilometre charity bike ride—an experience that reshaped his perspective. Founded by former NSW homicide police officer Peter Baines, the organisation provides shelter, education, and healthcare to 350 orphaned children, with every dollar raised directly benefiting those in need. As a father, Terry found a deep personal connection to the cause, reinforcing his belief in the power of collective action.

In an ever-changing market, adaptability is key. Terry shares how Red23 works closely with developers to refine lot configurations, optimise pricing strategies, and align with builder networks to meet buyer demand. He discusses the shift towards townhouses and smaller lot sizes as affordability pressures reshape the industry. His team’s agility in adjusting development plans ensures that projects remain commercially viable while delivering homes that meet buyers’ expectations.
