SPEAKER_03We gotta show them everybody that went to get this shit, but it shit real choke.
SPEAKER_04No what do you say? Woozy say Bootsie say you find a 20, what did he say?
SPEAKER_03You find a $50 pussy.
SPEAKER_04I say fuck. I ain't made it there yet.
SPEAKER_03I ain't made it there yet. But 20 still gonna be changed. Don't ask for change for 20 from me.
SPEAKER_05Now I saw in one of your podcasts before we get there, because I saw you just did an interview and you said the reason behind why you bring all your money with you. You say that's motivation. Now is that everything? Tell them if it's everything.
SPEAKER_03Oh nah, that ain't everything.
SPEAKER_05That ain't everything.
SPEAKER_03This 30 days, this what? 10 days? 10 days. Young nigga ballet. $10,000 days I done been there. Come on, now.
SPEAKER_0525.
SPEAKER_03Come on, now.
SPEAKER_05Years old.
SPEAKER_0325.
SPEAKER_05That's what the hell is going on. Now, polo, I want to know because now the last time you came on here, you was Polo the A, baby.
SPEAKER_03Polo the A, baby.
SPEAKER_05Now you KTM Polo.
SPEAKER_03KTM Polo.
SPEAKER_05And you done took a break. You done took some time off. Super. Now you back.
SPEAKER_03Took some time, now I'm back.
SPEAKER_05Now where the fuck you been?
SPEAKER_03Shedding off the dead weight, being a lifer on them. You know. I've been really trying to get right with God. You know. That's first. That is. And then secondly, I've been trying to rebrand myself because what he said, Lloyd, I had to take a break from my old team. Okay. I don't mean to do something, something with my old thing, and ain't taking shots at my old team.
SPEAKER_05You taking a shit. But this is me. You taking shots tonight, Polo.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, yeah, yeah. Just a few.
SPEAKER_05Okay, so now you was under management at the time. Um now are you still under that management or have you kind of branched off to do your own thing?
SPEAKER_03No, I'm not under no management. I kind of I ain't really branch off. I was forced to like kind of like, I was just left. Does that make sense? Yeah, yeah, yeah.
SPEAKER_05No, it don't make sense. So okay, so go ahead, Levin, elaborate a little bit.
SPEAKER_03So I went to jail back in February. So when I went to jail.
SPEAKER_05You went to jail?
SPEAKER_03I went to jail.
SPEAKER_05Get the fuck out of here.
SPEAKER_03I went to jail in Georgia. Fucked up. Fucked up. Just because it wasn't even really my fault, but somebody stole my car and whoever had it was Joy Rodin. So whenever they hit through the lights, hit through the dash, uh the traffic lights, it registered to Georgia like, okay, boom. Uh, or wherever it was out of, I'm pretty sure it was out of Georgia, because that's how the want work. So then there was like uh figure over a traffic device out in Gwynette. So I had a hole in Hansville that took me all the way to Gwinnett. Gwynette came to Hansville to come pick me up. Uh, and from there I just sat in a cell. And then like, I'm calling management, yo, like this my situation. First thing I hear is, how the fuck you get arrested? Like, bro, that's the last thing I want to fucking hear is here. Anyway, so I'm sitting there, sitting there, sitting there, and my job, they tripping. So I can't really do nothing. And then my family tripping, they won't come up the road to come get me from flo from they won't leave Florida to come to Georgia to come get me. So I really was like, fuck. So then the place I'm living at, month to month least. Cool. They calling me, calling me, calling me, yo, you ain't getting you ain't paying your rent. But I can't. So how long were you gone in total? Like 41 days, 42 days.
SPEAKER_05Oh my god. I thought it was just like an L.
SPEAKER_03And I had cash on me, like cuz come bond me out. No, I can't. I ain't got no L's. Niggas don't got no L's.
SPEAKER_05You need to take down a couple people's telephone number. And then you need that should be the first question you got to do.
SPEAKER_03But I you get what I'm saying? Like when you when you when you when you really don't fuck with nobody, because people only gonna fuck with you just because of what you can do for them. Right. So it's like you gotta keep them folks from around you. You gotta feed them with a long-handled spoon, I was told. So like when you feed them with a long-handed spoon, you really don't fuck with them, so you're not gonna hit them up. Like, like I'd rather sit there and do this than to call anybody for like 40 days in jail. Like, I do that every day of the week before I call one of these bitch ass niggas. Oh, I helped. Nah, you ain't help shit right here. And so, like, when I get out of jail, management, like, oh, I need you to do this, that, and the third. Like, I'm on house arrest. I can't do nothing. Oh my god. Oh, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you need to be doing content. I can't do content because I'm I ain't I can't even get to my house. I'm stuck in the state of Georgia doing, like, on probation. Like, I can't leave. Oh my god. So it's like, it's like, okay, I can't go to Florida to go get no clothes. So how am I supposed to do promo? Like, I'm not finna wear the same couple outfits, like, but and I can't leave because I'm on like like house arrest, not supervised release where I can go to stores. I'm on house arrest. Like, I can't leave too. So I was like, oh my god, I can't get no clothes management. Like, bro, you not doing nothing, you're not progressing. I'm like, respect, all right, that's understandable. You're supposed to push me to keep getting more. But then it was like, oh, you know, polo, you gotta start making excuses. I'm like, excuses? It's real life. Yeah, like like I can't afford to. Especially like when you're on probation, like police are already looking at your Instagram. That's how most people, that's literally 37% of people getting convicted off of their social media. Exactly. So I can't be Instagram, fuck the police, guns, money. I can't do that. Cause then they're gonna be like, like, bonding out, then you gotta pay your bond, and then you gotta get a PO, pay your P.O. Then you gotta pay the judge, then you gotta pay the prosecutor they fee, then you gotta pay the jury, then you gotta pay your court fees. Why would I sit here and and and cause you can negotiate with them. Hey, I ain't got a thousand dollars, what y'all do for $750? Oh man, I'm gonna release this charge, but you still got this. Like, you know what I'm saying? So it's like, it's like management not working with me. Oh, Polo, you need to go do this. No, I can't do that. That won't make no sense. Like, it's not like you s it's like this a new generation with music. Like everything goes viral within 10 seconds, then it's not viral in 20 minutes. So it's like, it's like when shit go viral, it's like I'm like, hey, I should drop this song right now. Like, like raw youngin'. Don't like the nigga. Nigga a bitch. Uh them niggas said it was like, you remember the thousand niggas or one gorilla, a thousand, one nigga versus a thousand niggas versus gorilla or some shit? Yeah, yeah. My brother posted something. He was like a hundred baker niggas versus a hundred Bradford niggas. I had posts, I said we ain't getting down with them niggas. I said, we ain't fighting with them niggas, they get down with punks. Like, we ain't finna do that. My comment went as viral as his post. Niggas sharing it, ha ha ha ha. They talking some girl, these niggas say they get down with punts, ha ha ha. I'm talking about like my comic got like 1.8,000 uh likes and laughs and shit like that. I'm like, I so I schedule BBK, which is the this that I was gonna do on them niggas, but it was before this even happened. Okay. And then I was like, I'm gonna post this. Like it right now, the perfect time. They should like, no, don't post it. I'm like, bruh, this is the right time to post it. She's like, nah, you need a rollout. I'm like, bruh, this is not no 2000s, this is not no 2010s. Like this now, like, if you don't, if I post, if I randomly post it, it's gonna look like, oh, this nigga a dick rider. Like this nigga hating on us. Like, yeah. Like you gotta post it right then, because I'm like, right now makes the most sense. Cause I'm like, because you right in the thick of it. Right, and that's what I kept saying, because I'm like, now music is really like a movie, like on theaters. Like you gotta have a pre-rollout, and then you gotta have a after-rollout. Cause you don't never know a movie coming in the theaters for the most part. They'd be like, oh, you seen that new Spider-Man movie come out? No, I ain't seen that. But then after it come out, they be like, Spider-Man was good, I heard. That's all you really hear is the movie was good or bad. Yeah. And that's because it's the post uh promotion and marketing. And so the post-promo uh post-marketing and promotion could really tell you what's good or bad. So that's what I was really trying to do. Like, bro, the post, the post, like I can finish, like the after. I thought I dropped the song. I can put it on 954 fast pitch. I can put it on Duval Pro.
SPEAKER_05So what started the beef initially with all y'all? Like to where you wanted to drop the beef this track and all that. Like, what's the street?
SPEAKER_03No, we never like them niggas, like from D. Watkins.
SPEAKER_05Now, is this from Jacksonville?
SPEAKER_03This is from Bradford. Bradford. Okay, where's Bradford? This start right next to Gainesville. Okay. And that's where my people from. But people stay at, I should say. And so, like, with D. Watkins, uh, Raw Youngin', and them boys, uh, they used to come to I said we used to be high school rivals. High school rivals come turn to like we, cause we used to smash them jits every time, like beat them the fuck up. Like they come beat us by three points in a foot basketball game. Promise you, you better not pop out to that game, I think. Because we getting on y'all ass. Y'all better not, or we beat them in football. We leave baker safe. Them niggas not on nothing. We go, if anytime they come here, they leave with an ass with them, whether it's in the sport or whether it's physically. And so, like, the moment you get older, niggas stop fighting and niggas be like, oh, nigga, y'all niggas fight me, I'ma uh shoot y'all. Then niggas be like, bro, y'all not on that. Like, and then it turned into that, and then like niggas doing what they do, like niggas rap, okay, cool, y'all rap. Um, and then it went from like that to like like niggas like, oh, that rapping nigga from Bradford. I'm like, what did I do? I I'm really from like I really ain't even like I stayed in Stark a little bit, but I'm I'm from Jacks. Like I stayed in Jacks more than.
SPEAKER_04And you from Montcreve. Yeah, so I'm like 46 Moncreve too.
SPEAKER_05Let me tell you something. I was watching the fucking documentary the other day. Now, the first thing I saw, they say when you think about Jacksonville, the first two things somebody gonna say is Duval, of course, Duval County. Nah. Um, then they're gonna say the crackers don't play.
SPEAKER_03Yeah.
SPEAKER_05And then directly after that, they're gonna say Montcreve.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, stay away from Montcreve. Stay with Moncree, Moncree Park, 43rd.
SPEAKER_05Yeah, they say you got to have a gun walking around now.
SPEAKER_03Two guns.
SPEAKER_05So is that where you started carrying guns and stuff like back at home?
SPEAKER_03Nah, my first time carrying a gun is with my cousin because they used to steal guns and cars. And uh You was bad. No, I wasn't bad at all. You was bad. I just was hanging with my cousin I was hanging with my cousin. And and these niggas, and Jim. In gym, actually, S C Y Gym. And like niggas used to steal guns and shit. So it's like, uh, yeah, that's where it really started carrying guns.
SPEAKER_05Oh my god, you was bad.
SPEAKER_03I was just a product of my environment.
SPEAKER_05Now, are you the only child?
SPEAKER_03No. My daddy got 23 kids, my mom got 23 children?
SPEAKER_05You close with your dad though?
SPEAKER_03Hell.
SPEAKER_05No.
SPEAKER_03I told that nigga I'd beat that nigga up.
SPEAKER_05Damn. Okay, so coming up, like, who were some of the people that you kind of looked you looked up to?
SPEAKER_03Who I looked up to? I really didn't look up to nobody. Like, I used to look up to like Gucci Man. Like, I'm telling you, I used to look up the Gucci Man, Benny Single from State Property, Scarface, Tony Soprano, El Pablo. Like, I used to always think I would go die before I was 16. Cause I was like, that's the life I wanna live. That life. I ain't never wanna live no other life besides that life. I used to probably look up to Troy and Tay Aaron. Them niggas was so cool to me back in the day.
SPEAKER_05Like, who is Troy and Tay Aaron?
SPEAKER_03They some niggas from the hood. Like, them niggas is just so cool to me. Like they used to always take me under their wing. Like them niggas used to, I don't wanna say it.
SPEAKER_05Don't say it.
SPEAKER_03Ah, I'm gonna say I'ma say it. No, like it ain't nothing bad for me, but like them niggas was be like, them niggas would be like, hey little bro, we finna do X, Y, Z. Come on. Like, I ain't saying they were bad, older people, but they was my brother's age, my brother 30 now, 28, 29, 30, something like that. And then so like, but I was like eight, nine, eight. And then my brother was thugging all the time, every time. Anytime, like the nigga was just thugging, in and out of the house thugging. And so, Twenty Taylor used to practically raise me. And so they was like, hey, come on, little bro, we finna go uh fuck this bitch. And I'm like, no, I wanna read a book. Them niggas, nigga talking about so, you ain't finna read no book. I'm nine or ten. This is why I first met. You remember the two sisters? One don't name started with C and one don't name started with J.
SPEAKER_05What's that name? You gotta tell us the name, you gotta take a shot.
SPEAKER_03Uh I mean and then Troy then was like, oh. So you ain't gonna tell the name? No, I can't. Why? I can't. We don't know the name. My my city gonna be they gonna be. They gonna know. Yeah. They're gonna know. Especially after I drop that with Jim, cause them dick riding niggas be lame.
SPEAKER_05It's one of their girlfriends? Yeah, yeah. All night. I might have to send me to the stuff.
SPEAKER_03You know what I'm talking about for real? Or you think?
SPEAKER_05I might have to send you to the stove. Come here. Get a bottle and some what you call it. Yeah. Guess what? Your mic on, so I'm gonna go.
SPEAKER_04But her older her older sister. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
SPEAKER_03Troy and Tay was like, oh, we finna run a train on this girl. And back in 2000, what? 10, 11? What 2012 probably? 2011. They was like, uh, they was like, come on, little bro. And then she's like, I ain't fucking with that little boy. And they was like, you is finna suck that little nigga dick. And I'm like, this. I'm like, bro, I don't want to do this. You eight years old. I'm like 910. 910, getting your dick. I was like nervous. I was so nervous. They was like, fuck the fuck a little bro. And then I'm like, so I ain't finna fuck that little boy. And then they was like, you is finna fuck that little boy. And then I'm like, this.
SPEAKER_05How old were you when you lost your virgin?
SPEAKER_03Probably like, that was it. Like nine, like 10. That's horrible. And then I'm like, they was like, here, put this condom on your finger. And they was trying to show me how to put the condom on. So then after I did it, I came out with the condom on my finger. And it was like, it was like, it was like music. I was like, yeah, I'll put it on my finger. It was like, LeBron. No.
SPEAKER_05You went in there without it, because it was on your finger.
SPEAKER_04That was like, this nigga tripping. I was like, oh my gosh.
SPEAKER_03But I used to always look up to the niggas. They were so cool and everybody liked, like the females liked them. The niggas used to want to hang around them. Troy Tay, uh, Trey, J Bird. Them niggas was so cool to me, bro.
SPEAKER_05And you a cool little dude too. Because when your ass was performing and shit, I remember you did the Royal Rumble. Uh you did the Royal Rumble, and they got mad. They thought the thing was rigged and all that shit like that. They thought it was rigged, but my my goddamn boat was fair and square. I felt like you won because you had the crowd hype. So and you stood out because you listen, you literally took your phone, stood up, turned around with the crowd. Yeah, yeah. And had everybody behind you. No, I'm telling the sauce.
SPEAKER_03I did. That's the sauce. Look, y'all gotta understand, y'all gotta interact with the crowd. So once the crowd gets so involved to the point where they like, like head over heels, like stilettos, like they like, what is he doing? Like, what is he gonna do? Like, like I knew, I knew I was gonna win. First of all, it's because I performed it. Like I kept doing it like over and over again. I'm in there, hey bro, how this look?
SPEAKER_04If you wanna win a baby you gotta leave that run up. I'll put you bitches, but I push that hard like muscle up.
SPEAKER_03Then I was like, okay, before that, I'm gonna go in there and tell everybody whoop-to-woop. Alright, y'all, you know, I fuck with everybody, everybody doing good. We did the best thing. We came out here, we doing chasing our dreams, passing, passion, whatever, woot-to-woop. And I'm like, that's what go they go captivate them because it's like a grabber, like when you writing. They like uh your first sentence is a grabber. So everybody already anticipating you saying something, or they just people don't understand. People get up, they be like this. Hey there, Delilah, what's it like, bro?
SPEAKER_05So you actually practice your performance part because I always say that I actually spoke to a manager and I was telling him, like, you have some dope artists, but their stage presence ain't all the way there, whether it be not holding the mic, not knowing how to perform your song, rapping over the lyrics too loud, getting too excited. Um, but you actually perform. How how okay, so what does a practice round for polo look like?
SPEAKER_03So you want me to show you or you want me to tell you, walk you through it? Or you want to do both? Uh maybe both. Okay.
SPEAKER_05Before you get started, can you move that fan down a little bit?
SPEAKER_03So a practice round is I'm looking at the song. I'm looking at it. If you want a winner, bae, you gotta leave that run up. What can I do? If you want a winner, bae, you gotta leave that run up. So people be like, oh, look at him doing that little thing. Uh and then I'm like, I pull these bitches easy, but I push that heart like muscles up. So I pull these bitches easy, but I push that hard like muscle up. Brabbis on the bins, I got it sitting like a dooly truck. Like, I'm telling you, I'm doing all that. I'm looking at my lines word for word, like, okay, boom, this what I'm gonna say. Okay, so this what I'm gonna do with that. And then so when I'm in there, I'm like this. I'm like, you gotta train how you fight.
SPEAKER_04So it's like I'm really giving all my energy. So I'm like, if you wanna win them, baby, you gotta leave that run up. I put these bitches easy, but I put that on my muscle up, bropping some of beers, I gotta see it like a dooling truck. It's time to be in the road and 30 balls, I got them buckled up. I'm gonna throw them both like nigga, like a drunk driver, fees, turn the demons, boy. I'm hot like a ghost rider.
SPEAKER_05Time to make a man, come on, man. Okay. So now when you're when you're doing that, are you actually practicing with a real mic?
SPEAKER_03Yeah, yeah, yeah. I'm actually because my niece, oh, I love my niece so much. And my sister, I love my sister, to see. They got me a real mic. So when I first won one of the royalty uh Royal Rumbles, uh, they got me a mic. So when I came home, they had like the fungal pop that say Polo A Baby. Then they got the uh microphone, then some flowers. And I love my sister, bro. I give myself anything, everything in the world. Even my clothes on my back, the kidney out of my body, the lung, anything. I bought anything. And so uh they got me the Royal, uh, they got me a microphone to go at the gold Royal Rumble trophy. So I'm like, okay, boom. So I'm practicing like that hard. And I'm telling my homeboys, I'm in the car practicing like for days. Like I'm not, I'm not slacking. That's why if anybody beat me, I ain't gonna never sit there and be like, oh, it's red, it's cheap. That's hating. That's like people don't understand. Like, I never sit there and judge another person before I judge myself. I'll be like, yeah, I could have spent more time practicing. I could have did more time. Like, I research, practice, go over, study, practice, research, go over, study, practice, research, go over. Like, and I'm I'm practicing at work. I'm I'm like this, okay. Let me see the best performance of 2025 uh Soka Fest from the Caribbeans. I'm looking at the 2025 I EMAs or whatever. I'm looking at the the best rolling loud performance. I'm looking at that from years. I'm looking at I'm looking at AR advice for artists that build a stage presence. I'm looking at everything from that. I'm going to go talk to PZ. Uh I'm talking uh to management, like, yo, what what's what's what's the best thing you've seen? Have you ever judged? I'm look I'm asking people like what's something you look for when you judge? I'm talking about actual ARs. They're talking about something I want people that's cool. I don't care if you got three followers. If the crowd feel like they finna jump on stage with you, I'm I'm promise you I'm rocking with you. I know, that's right. And I'm like, okay, cool. When I'm practicing, what's something you can tell the crowd? Like, like when I perform the song in the maids, I'm like, first they love me, then they hate me. Both times I got paid. I say, y'all ain't hear that. I say first they love me, then they hate me. Both times I got paid. So when I say first they love me, then they hate me, y'all gonna say both times I got paid. Tell me what y'all gonna say. Both times I got paid. Tell me what the fuck y'all gonna say. Both times, man, if y'all getting paid, y'all better say that shit like you getting paid, nigga.
SPEAKER_04Both times I got paid. I'm like, okay, then first they love me, then they put this on, first they love me, then they hate me both times I got paid. And Jimmy in that kitchen, what that dope up like a slave. He said he did what the who?
SPEAKER_03Catching bullets, not fades. They be looking for my chart. You gonna find me in a maze, duck-dog nigga. I'm telling you. That's why anybody that beat me, I'm like, you earned that. Promise you, you must have earned that. Crazy, God bless you. You can't beat like cheaters never win and winners never cheat. That's why I was like, anybody that thinks I that was real, that's why I really stopped doing Royal Rumbles. Yeah. Because I don't want people to think Miss Aaron them, first of all, Miss Aaron them dope as fuck. Super dope, super dope. And I wanted to keep doing Royal Rumbles. I want to actually come back. Go, go check. Give me that phone. Throw me that phone, throw it. So throw it. And so I wanted to Ben come back to your podcast. Oh, it did. I wanted to Ben come back to your podcast, but I was so well. I ain't gonna say I couldn't. I was told not to.
SPEAKER_05By who?
SPEAKER_03I was told not to. I was told not to.
SPEAKER_05So I was just put it out there, I'm gonna take a shot.
SPEAKER_03I was just like, Yeah, take a shot.
SPEAKER_05Take a shot. No, I said you gonna take a shot. Nah, you gotta take a shot. Put it out there and take a shot. I ain't got to take a shot. You the one don't want to see it.
SPEAKER_03All right, rock people says, whoever we gotta take a shot? Okay, whoever lose if I win, you gotta tell me who. Okay, if I win, if you win, if you win, you gotta I gotta tell you who. If I lose, or if I win, you gotta take a shot.
SPEAKER_05You already know what's gonna happen. You're gonna lose. Exactly.
SPEAKER_03Let's you ready? Yeah, okay. You ready? Up paper scissors shoot.
SPEAKER_05I'm the pro. I'm the chip. That's why I shoot. I'm the chip.
SPEAKER_03Management said there's like, oh nah, you probably like you bigger than that. I'm like, because at the time I was trying to do more interviews, but then I realized as an artist, you really can't be doing more interviews than you doing marketing. Because it's like, if you doing interviews and nobody knows you, it's like it's gonna go to the YouTube void. Like I'm in the bed if you go on YouTube.
SPEAKER_05Now I'm gonna tell you a secret before you go further, because you say management told you that.
SPEAKER_03Yeah.
SPEAKER_05Your management charged you $100 for the first podcast.
SPEAKER_03Yeah.
SPEAKER_05I charged your management $50.
SPEAKER_03I knew that was happening.
SPEAKER_05Shout out to your motherfucking manager.
SPEAKER_03Because when I'm telling what I peep, certain shit wasn't making sense. Like, people be like, hey, yo, XYZ. And I'm like, XYZ. Like, perfect example, cover art. Cover art was like, I think $100 or something. I'm like, damn, $100 for cover art. Mind you, my trimming. Like, I don't care what nobody say, but work in line of five, bro. Music, the trap, not go pay for everything, bro. If you can do everything, do it. Why not? Yeah. Like we all got the same 24 hours, bro. Plenty of work. Like this shit did not come from no, all this didn't come from no trap. All this ain't come from no motherfucking. Like this this 30 ball right here. All cash. All man, come on, man. But work any job, bro. Every job. Like y'all niggas that got like that don't work, like no federal jobs, bro. Work two, three jobs and do whatever you do on the side. Like I saw the device I'm gonna tell you. But like, I'm like, okay, boom. I'm getting a steady paycheck every two weeks. I'm making a little over six, probably, probably like sixty, four hundred. I don't I ain't tripping because that's if you every two weeks, sixty, four hundred. I need a job. Fuck. So I'm making sixty, four hundred every two weeks, plus on top of my side hustles and shit like that. So I'm like, I can pay $100 for cover art. I ain't tripping. So I'm paying $100. One time I hit him up just to because management was like, bro, hit uh concrete Picasso, best motherfucking cover art ever in the motherfucking world. Okay. I hit him, excuse me, I hit him up and I'm like, uh, yo, bro, I'm trying to get some cover art with this, that, and the third. No, I think I just hit him up randomly because I'm like trying to rush to get BBK. That's that's what it was. I rushed to get BBK cover art. So bro said, alright, bro, X amount of dollars. I'm like, all right, cool. He said, for you, I got you. I'm like, alright, cool. What's the normal ticket? He was like, that's the normal ticket.
SPEAKER_05I'm like, every time pocketing something. I'm trying to tell you, you can't trust them damn promotable, I'm telling you.
SPEAKER_03I done made 12 songs. Yeah. No, you done paid that 100 12 times.
SPEAKER_05On top of this management fee, on top of Damn, how much is the management fee, Steve? Two fifty.
SPEAKER_03A month. A month. No, every three months.
SPEAKER_05Okay, so $250 every three months, and what does that mean? And and you gotta pay $100 on top for the $250 every month for the cover art.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, I pay for cover art. So how many of her songs I push out that month? That's it. Plus the promo, plus QC Media. And you paying all that? I'm paying all this out of pocket. And paying her $250. And paying her $250. So what's the what's the management fee for? You know, and everybody kept saying that. What is she doing? Because you the one that's going out with the power.
SPEAKER_05You the one with the motion. Every artist that I've seen with some promoters, and we're not gonna say no more names, but they've had more emotion than the manager.
SPEAKER_03Yeah. So y'all helping the manager. Yeah, and then that's crazy because other people was trying to reach out. Hey, let me do a song on Polo. And I'm talking about like I'm talking about like raw, raw people talking about a song. Hey, I'm trying to do a song with that nigga Polo. I've seen that nigga Royal Rumble interview. Niggas say, nigga say pink 50s white dominance looking like some shrimp and grits. I hear it. And I'm like this, I'm like, yeah, that shit hard, huh? Nigga say, nigga say, yeah, bro, I'm trying to do a song. I say, all right, bet, uh, let's do it. I tell my management, like, yo, this is a song I want to do, and this person that hit me up. No, Polo, don't reach out to them. I didn't reach out to them. They reached out to me. Nah, send them through me. Okay, hey bro, hit the management up. Never do the song. Oh my gosh. So niggas see me in public. Dang, bro. I wish we like, I wish we could have did a song. Mind you, real, real artist G40, GYMV, I see these niggas, they told me, bro, your manager, your management, crazy. I'm like, what you mean? They showing me messages talking about some, they showing me messages talking about some, like sending me screenshots from management. And I'm like, I just was talking about G40, and he write that look right there on the thing. I need to go to it right now. Management right now. He sent that saying, this. Like, your manager fried. Funny as a bitch. What's she talking about? About the tape? Mind you, man, G40 had a whole tape with. I sent brother money. I'm looking at the man, the money, the the message between my manager and he sent me the screenshot. I say, I told him you don't want the 200 and you send the money back. Doug sent me 800. So he's trying to figure out what you're talking about. And then, yes, you did. You said you want to send the money back. He wanted you to send a song. You guys did five months ago, but did he know you had a lot going on, which is okay. We're just trying to get the song. And once you sent the song over, he was going to pay you more. And then I guess the voice memo, then he says, She on some shit saying, I said I'm finna send the chicken back. I say, I was telling her I don't want to drop the tape yet, because I want you on it. He said she flashed. And I'm like, I'm like, bro, if that's happening, like she's like, bro. And then I don't know who the nigga is, but did a song or something or whatever. And me and GMY Ville was supposed to do a song, and she texting nigga talking about something, nigga, you ain't that big to be skipping shows. Nigga text me like. And she missing T. Like, like, bro.
SPEAKER_05Nah, she getting them fixed though. Getting them. They ain't got none yet, Polo. Give them a chicken.
SPEAKER_04Fuck.
SPEAKER_05You already got it, you got it. You need the slide of that 250 if you need it.
unknownCan't do that.
SPEAKER_05Pearl's show them your project. I feel like a leaves. Period.
SPEAKER_03And then um, so so, bro, we ain't doing no song, nigga. I'm like, bro, I don't even know what's going on. See? Send me a screenshot. I'm like, bro, I'm not beefing with you niggas. Like, bro, I stay in the hood. Like, these niggas can easily push up on me. Like, niggas know where I'm from. Niggas know what block I be on. Niggas know where I'm posted up every day. Right. So it's like, why, why cause? Because if these niggas do something to me, why would you do that to your artist? Or if I do something to these niggas, nah, I'm in jail, like, you get what I'm saying? So this was before you went to jail or after you. Way before I went to jail. So it's like, it's like.
SPEAKER_05So the jail was like the cherry on the game.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, jail, jail was like, nah.
SPEAKER_05It's too much.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, jail, like, like, I can't do it.
SPEAKER_05So now, as far as your experience went with management, do you see yourself um, you know, working with a different manager or do you prefer to stay independent?
SPEAKER_03I probably want to work with another manager, but it's like, I got a solid little team I'm building up. I want a manager, like a real manager, like a manager, like, like hear my song and be like, damn, this nigga pull it raw. Like this nigga, this nigga outrap rappers. Like this nigga really him, like this nigga versatile. Like this nigga don't just make drill music, this nigga don't just make kin music, this nigga don't just make sad music, this nigga don't just make trap music, this nigga don't just make pain music. This nigga can rap. This nigga, this nigga, nigga like Drake for real better. Like, you feel me? But it's just like, it's like, I don't know, cause people always told me, like, bro, watch who your manager is gonna be the most important part of your life. Like, they was like, if with music involved, your manager gonna be the important part of your life. And then I see it first thing because I'm like, okay, I don't impete snake activities. And something told me then, like, bro, snakes only share their skin to grow in the bigger snake. That's it. So it's like, and I stay, because I'm like, I only want the same team around, like, same engineer, I go to the same engineer, same videographer, I go to the same videographer, same cover, I go to the same cover art. Because I own I don't I don't like niggas and I don't know niggas. And I tell niggas, like even niggas looking at me, do you know me? Okay then, so keep it going, like, bro, you don't know me, I don't know you, and I don't want to change that. Keep it going, no, I just be telling people you don't know me, don't stand at me. Because while I'm from, I'm jazzed. Nigga, take your face off you look at me. I'm talking, especially at Walmart, nigga killed a nigga over 24 cents in Walmart. What? Killed a nigga right in front of it. No, they didn't. Right in front of us. I'm talking about. How long ago that was? Probably like two, three years ago. Oh, but 24 cents. Oh, 23 cents. In Jacksonville.
SPEAKER_05See, somebody sat here last week and told me that Jacksonville was completely different and that we didn't have no words going to Jacksonville, Florida.
SPEAKER_03They must stay on the South Side by the St. John's Town Center.
SPEAKER_05Where did he say he was from? Forty something.
SPEAKER_03That nigga from the St. John's Towns Center, nigga from nigga from Orange Park. Because people from Orange Park love saying they from Jacksonville. People from motherfucking Green Cove, Lake Asbury, people from motherfucking Bay Meadows, like, boy, you is not in Jacksonville. I don't give a fuck. Where you from? If you're not from out east, out west, motherfucking north, you not from Jacksonville. Take your ass to St. John's Towns Center, take your ass to St. Augustine, take your ass to DB, they tone the beach, go to the Blam, go to Palaka, like go to somewhere else. Like, you not from Jacksonville.
SPEAKER_05I'm gonna ask you the same question. Okay, so if we go to Jacksonville right now and we want to have a good time, what clubs are we going to? Don't give me no damn suburban clubs neither. Go to Riverside. Oh, you don't want suburban? I don't want a suburbia.
SPEAKER_03Go to elevation.
SPEAKER_05Okay. That's the same. We heard that twice, baby Faith.
SPEAKER_03But elevation really a hit or miss. It depends, because Elevation really ghetto though.
SPEAKER_05But we done heard elevation lit. We done heard that.
SPEAKER_03Elevation don't be Elevation be. I don't know. Elevation a hit or a miss. Like anybody really from Jacksonville that been to elevation, like you done been there, it's burnt out. It ain't nothing but kids waiting to turn 18, get in the elevation.
SPEAKER_05Okay, so like Club Sky down here.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, like you be. I be like, bro, why y'all letting them in, bro?
SPEAKER_05Babe, you wanna go get a bottle? We need a bottle. We need a bottle. You got license, don't you?
unknownYeah.
SPEAKER_05My boy got a license. So we got a game coming for you. Hold on now. We're gonna go get a bottle. Alright, let me put it on the bottom. Hello, you you you ought to be ashamed. It's my birthday tomorrow.
SPEAKER_03No, it's not.
SPEAKER_05I know it.
SPEAKER_02That's some bullshit.
SPEAKER_05At least I was honest though. I could have kept the logo on. Yeah, you you could've I could have kept the logo and I told the truth. You want what you want? Um Don?
SPEAKER_03Respesado.
SPEAKER_05He wants Don Reposado. I'm gonna have to put one with it, right? Ain't the bottle like 46.
SPEAKER_02No, I go to Dewey's. I go to Dewey's.
SPEAKER_05You gonna go way to Dewey's?
SPEAKER_03How far that is? Don't go too far, bro.
SPEAKER_02Huh? Ain't that far.
SPEAKER_03How far then?
SPEAKER_02Dewey's boy, like a good 10 minutes.
SPEAKER_03Oh yeah, yeah. That's one. Please don't re baby.
SPEAKER_05Put it on it. And then she starts at Don't get scared. No. Oh fuck. Yeah, we're gonna get lit. We're gonna get lit. What kind of gun is that one?
SPEAKER_03This a Draco, this a Glock. Let me see.
SPEAKER_05Can I see the Draco? It ain't it's on safety.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, it's on safe. It's fully loaded though.
SPEAKER_05Period, bitches. Fucking play with me now. How this shit works? This heavy as fuck. You hold it like that.
SPEAKER_06Yep.
SPEAKER_05Okay. Okay, we getting now. We're getting somewhere. Okay, so you hold it. So you hold what? You scared? You said it's no safety. You scared? Yeah. Nah, we got it. Okay, so then where the um, so it's automatic.
SPEAKER_03Nah. Wait, so uh uh. Oh, so you pull this back? No, the trigger down there. That's just the the aim. Okay, this is the trigger. When you pull it back, it shoots, and when you let it go, it shoots. So it's a bump. It's a it's a body trick.
SPEAKER_05But it hit back like this.
SPEAKER_03Okay, so it's super loud.
SPEAKER_05Let's not do it. Okay, so um you just dropped your visuals for an amaze. An amaze. And then you dropped your newest hit song, Mo Motion. Mo Motion. So you coming out for a force right now, Polo. Was it in your song Motion when you said uh when you said that you keep a bad bitch, but even if you got a bad bitch, you still gonna cheat. That's on my granny.
SPEAKER_03Why? Cause female, females loyal to y'all emotions. Y'all don't be sitting there thinking, because you can sit there and tell a female like, I just feel like, I was like, listen, I can feel like I need a million dollars every three minutes. I'm not gonna get no million dollars every three minutes. I just feel and I'm like, bro, that don't pay for naythers. You can tell a female, like, bro, listen, I need to be on the road. These folks trying to buy, they're trying to get a half time. They're like, oh, but you promised that you was gonna spend time with me. I'm like, excuse me? Baby, we're gonna go back these right, bro.
SPEAKER_04We'll be right back. Like, bro trying to buy a cutie off me right now, 475. Like, I need I need to go out there. I'm telling you, whatever your price is, let me know.
SPEAKER_03I think I'm telling you. I'm telling you, we can be anything. I'm telling you, we get these 20 man, come on, man.
SPEAKER_05So, Paulo, okay, so somebody asked me because they really wanted to know is you really living the life that you live in your music? Because a lot of these men that's out here right now, they doing this drill rap, they doing this trap rap, and they really like like they gonna say they in the bando and they flipping this shit every motherfucking day 10 bricks, and meanwhile, the bitch ain't even got an eighth to flip.
SPEAKER_06Do you want some more Mr.
unknownTyson?
SPEAKER_05Nah, I don't love that life. I just be casual, man. Just be casual.
SPEAKER_03Super capital.
SPEAKER_05It's just music. Super music. That's it. That's it.
SPEAKER_03Super music.
SPEAKER_05So, what do you say for the people who actually take the music serious? Like they take what you say serious.
SPEAKER_03Don't take nothing serious. So I told I said in a song, nigga had to kill me. I interviewed something, nigga gotta kill me for the change. Boy, you can get it, bitch. Promise you. Promise, but you can get everything off. But they can't even come close the way you the way you set up. Yeah, I ain't gonna lie to you. Right now. By the time you creep up on me, boy, six twos knock your heart from lie to you.
SPEAKER_05Goddamn sniper aim and some more shit.
SPEAKER_03I'm telling you.
SPEAKER_05You better watch it.
SPEAKER_03I'm telling you, yeah, don't don't be letting the music get y'all hyped up. Just be cap, man.
SPEAKER_05Now polo the hey baby, I'm finna grab your money. I'm telling you in advance. You grabbed all this money out of the bank. Look, y'all.
SPEAKER_03That's a took a thousand.
SPEAKER_05You grabbed all the this $30,000.
SPEAKER_03What like 45?
SPEAKER_0545 racks right here, y'all. 45 racks. And it's real money too. It's real. It ain't one of them. You know they be having that fake ass money sometimes. This is real money, y'all. This is real money. The faces is blue and everything. I'm telling you.
SPEAKER_03That's a that's a big.
SPEAKER_05Some of them old honey, but some of them these all of them got the goddamn. Now, Polo, when you. What up?
SPEAKER_03What did I say? Jacksonville, 30,000, put a 30 out of the bank for that. Navy Federal credit and what today? That was yesterday. 2 40 p.m.
SPEAKER_05Oh my God. Now when you pull all this money out, what do you do with it?
SPEAKER_03I gotta look at it.
SPEAKER_05You just look at it.
SPEAKER_03Look at me. Look at it.
SPEAKER_05What do them people say when you walk in the bank and you ask them to pull out 30,000? Is they used to it at this point?
SPEAKER_03Yeah, they used to it. Uh what's his name? Mark. Yeah, Mark. Mark could be like, uh, because I own a business. So with my business, with my business uh account, so people don't understand. Like with this music shit, you really gotta register your name. Oh, it's in the car, but I was gonna show you my business debit card.
SPEAKER_06Okay.
SPEAKER_03But register your music name as an LLC. And you gotta go to Ask Cap and you gotta go to I think like ISRM or something like that. Ask Cat something else, I forgot. And uh when you register everything as a uh LLC, because once you go to ASCAP, they're gonna tell you you need to put a uh publisher, songwriter, creator, uh need to make an account for that in like a label kinda. So like when you make that, it's gonna ask you, are you an entity or are you a personal uh beneficiary, which is a normal person. You always want to choose the latter. Tell them that business is gonna make sense. So smart.
SPEAKER_05Tell us what the ladder is.
SPEAKER_03So the lottery, the lottery the other option. So always go with the business entity because you don't want to operate as a person, because like how most rappers like like no offense, but Kevin Gates kicked the girl in the face with the jail. He he didn't have to if he was a business. Like people be like, like Lil Wayne to them, even Lauren Hill, I love Lauren Hill, but yeah, with a jail about taxes. You don't have to if you're a business, you can file for bankruptcy.
SPEAKER_06Yeah.
SPEAKER_03Shit, KTM Polo, bro, he filed for bankruptcy. Yeah, KTM Polo, the business entity with the EIN, not the one with the Social Security number. That's right. Crazy. People got too much pride, I'm telling you.
SPEAKER_05So how did you how did you learn all this? You young, you only 25 years old.
SPEAKER_03Because I listen. Okay. Old heads lay some knowledge on you if you hear them out. They tell me. I tell you, like, before I really like I used to do music, like Fable, walking around, hello, bro, rap, bruh, rap. You be going to all this country, you be in lamb chops, you be in Vets, you be in Hellcat when I'm 17 years old, wrecking Hellcat, getting buying the charger the next day, because my mama go have the cheese. I'm telling you, getting a BW, slime BMW bins. They like, bro, like you can go, I mean anybody that got me on Facebook, they know I'm not lying. Slime bins, BMWs, and like beamers, anything. I'm talking about post it up with real rap niggas. They talking about something, like this nigga, bro, rap, bro. Like, just rap about what you do. And then I'm like, bro, I'm not no rapper, bro. I'm gonna be a trap nigga until I die. I'm probably gonna die before I'm 16, too. Oh man. Nigga telling me, bruh, just rap. Just rap. Just try it, bro. Try it. Try it rap, bro. Try rap, try rap. Shout out to Fable. I'm like, nah, bro, I can't rap. I can't rap. And I used to joke, like, bro, I don't even know how to put a song together. One night, I say the night to Fable house, mind you, I had to leave cause Fable's parents were arguing over who cooking. I was like, I ain't doing this shit. And then I say, I say, you know what? But we wrote a song that night. We wrote that song where you was like, what you think about? See, I think about a girl named something or something, but she's 16 and she don't even know she got a baby. Like, what you think about? Like that song, that's the first song I ever was with. Fable helped me write the song. I think you wrote it and gave it to me or something. You wrote both our verses. And so I was like, oh no, that shit hard. And then when I was walking around saying that, people was like, oh, that shit hard. What song that is? I was like, oh, that's me and my dog. We made that up. They was like, no way. They couldn't believe it. And then everybody was like, go in there go tell everybody. And then that person will tell that person. And then I'm at school rapping it, and everybody around me watching, like, damn, that nigga hard as fuck. Like you made that. And everybody like, yeah. So then when I dropped my first song on SoundCloud called Operas, um, mind you, this is before social media even was a big thing. This one, like nobody, most you can get your song on was Sperilla. So, so uh, and my mixtape. And so uh I had dropped the song 40 Poppy, hit an opera, turns brings the dot, uh, uh Pasta, I'm a Rasta, hang with Dread, man, whatever. And then Y B in the Mirror stole that song. And like back then it was like, damn, that nigga stole my song. And then like everybody on SoundCloud sitting there, like, bro, go look at Y Be in the Mirror. By this time, I'm like, super young. I'm like not even knowing, like, damn, he stole the song, like really.
SPEAKER_05Well, that's the one we talked about the last time stole your name and everything.
SPEAKER_03And I'm just like, bro. But at that time, it didn't make sense to me, like, oh, that nigga stole my song. I'm thinking like, wow, how this nigga got famous for stealing my song, it's because he knew marketing and promo. So when he came out with rubbing off the paint and he stole my verse, because my his verse or yeah, his verse was my hook. And so I'm just like, damn. And so, uh, by the time everybody really looked at it, looked at it for what it was, they was like, yeah, this nigga wanna be in the mirror store your song, bro. I just like fuck it. That's why I and then I stopped doing music then at 20, like 2016, I was just looking at my iCloud, seeing notes from uh songs from 2015. And then I'm like, uh, I'm like, uh, yeah, bro, I ain't gonna do this music shit, these niggas weird. And then uh people like, bro, that could have been you. And then like, when you're 15, you like, fuck that shit. That ain't that. You don't think like, wow, this nigga living my life. Yeah. And then like 17, 18, be like, hold on now. I gotta do what? I gotta get a job. And then I'm looking, I'm like, bro, this nigga having a ball. Nigga done blew up off the song, but that's my song. I'm like, hold on now. And then so you do music, and I'm like, nah, I ain't trying to really do music for real. Like, it's not for me. Like, I don't like niggas in the street, like, we don't want no attention. Like niggas really in the street, you be like, bro, I don't want no attention for real. I just wanna be, I wish people didn't even know my name for real. And then like, you be like, okay, then it come back to you, nigga come full circle. People told me Fabo died. They're like, bro, Fabo died. I'm like, I'm like, bro, you lying. I called and I'm like, bro, you died? Niggas said, I'm like, yeah, bro, everybody saying you died. They're like, who said that? I said Jay Will. Debo, Debo told Quillo, Quillo told me. I'm like, no, Fabo ain't dead. This was when we last talked to him, I said, I'm on the phone with him now.
SPEAKER_05Oh my god.
SPEAKER_03Start back hanging out, doing music all over against 2024, the end of 2024, going to 25.
SPEAKER_05But it seemed like that happens a lot because I've heard Drake stole songs. I've heard Cardi B stole a song. I think Young Miami recently been accused of stealing songs. And then you it it's it's pretty easy for a mainstream artist to get away with stealing a damn song and then just going on about their damn business because these people come out and everybody call them a liar.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, because it's like when people, when an artist steal your song, because a female artist stole my song, and everybody know that song back on gonna know who I'm talking about. When it was like, uh, I was like fucking on your bitch, I give a what? Just like a lumberjack, something, something, something, something, something. She'll come coming back, running through your bitch with my whole team, just like a running back. And then I heard it on a female artist. So I'm like, damn, this bitch, now and then I played it back. Somebody like, bro, play that shit back and tell me what that sounds like. I'm like, I'm just sitting here next to him, like, bro, what you talking about?
SPEAKER_05Niggas like, bro, that's your shit.
SPEAKER_03And it was on it was on college kids because I was out trying to do my promo. And niggas like, bro, you don't think Glow took your song? And I'm like, nah. They was like, play the song. Go to YouTube, play the song. He was like, nah, go to this part. And then I go to that part. Faye told me, he was like, what it sound like? And I'm like, why would I come? Why would I ain't gonna stress about your bitch if she come coming back, running something, something, give your bitch wood just like a lumberjack, running through your bitch with my whole team, just like a lumberjack. They say Polo Music is the biggest influence, and he's coming back. And I missed it.
SPEAKER_05And all she had was yeah, Glow. I'm like Big Glow in this bitch.
SPEAKER_03Oh my God.
SPEAKER_05So have you ever considered being like a songwriter?
SPEAKER_03I was thinking about that because I'm like, motherfuckers just stealing the songs. I'm like, right, yeah, I might as well just let me write for y'all. Cause it'll be different if like the bigger artist just like did something like, bro, like your song hard. Like, cause this wasn't her breakout song, but this is the one she had with Cardi B.
SPEAKER_06Mm-hmm.
SPEAKER_03And um, like it should have been like uh, like, yo, I'ma like your post or I'ma just listen to one of your songs and keep the promo for free. Like, cause I but I use your song. Like I use that little hook, and I'm like, I'll be like, cool. Like, shit, I can be like, put on 954 Glow fucking with Polo Day Baby. Y'all think y'all tapped into Polo Day Baby. Like just simple shit, like just networking, like, bro, that'll mean the world to all artists. Because like, damn, industry people looking at me. And then I didn't really understand when people say, oh, always like market your shit. Cause you gotta, what's the MLC? Music, something, MLC, you gotta do MLC and you gotta do a song, something song, some song info or song tools or some shit. And cause you can register your, you can copyright your lyrics. So if anything close to that happens, like if I'm like, if I'm like, I'm chilling in a I'm chilling in a cut with Zoe, baby, I'm like, what my baby, and somebody say something like, I'm with Zoe baby in a cut, and I think she baby something, like they're gonna be like, mm-mm. Yeah, you can't do that. It's like a trademark. That that that that uh intellectual, creative property, yeah. Yeah, they'll be like, Polo on that. You can't take that. But that's what people don't know. So then I had to learn to do that. So now it's like, okay, go ahead, try it now.
SPEAKER_06Yeah.
SPEAKER_03Try now. Cause now whenever you get ready to put the lyrics up there and it sound anything like it, they go automatically tell you, like, this is a copyrighted uh lyric.
SPEAKER_05Yeah.
SPEAKER_03Like anything close to this is copyrighted now.
SPEAKER_05You so fucking smart. You a smart ass artist. Now, for these artists who are um thinking that, because you know a lot of artists put a lot of pressure on views, views, views. You gotta have the views, this is how I get paid. And you artists that get a lot of views on YouTube, you get a lot of listens on all platforms. Oh yeah. Um, do you feel like the views actually equal out to the money that you receive for each view or listen that you receive?
SPEAKER_03It depends, because like on title, title give you more money, title and deezer give you more money than Apple Music, YouTube, and Spotify put together. Okay. And then it goes title, Deezer, Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube, Music, and whatever else. And so, um or that piff is up there too, like the top one of the top three. And so it's how you market it, like what region, like people be like, oh nigga, you get views in India. Fuck nigga, I just got 40, like $5,000 from 40,000 view plays from India. And then if I get 40,000 plays in America, that's 17 cents. Yeah. Nigga, I know my target audience. Label, record labels go ask for your demographic and everything like that. They're not gonna be like, oh, this nigga get fake views. They go look at it and be like, because it shows you the curated song, it shows you the the uh skip history, like how what's been skipped through. So somebody like the bots when people click on it and click off, that's how you can tell bots. So you can see all of that, and then they go the record label go ask for that though, too. And people don't understand. That's a big, big thing I never knew. Record when you sign your deal, it's based off your albums. Okay. Yo, your uh and your uh album sales, that's a intellectual purchase. So when that has a history, like people like if you drop a full album, like because I used to think, oh, I can just I I can call this a mixtape and everybody go say it's a mixtape, that's an album, regardless. Gotcha. Anything over seven songs, that's an album. But you wanna anything, seven songs and over 30 minutes, that's an album. And so once you do that, it's an album. So now if you an underground artist and you drop a full 13 songs, oh, I'm gonna get a word on my gift. Okay, but now your first deal, like boss man Dillo, like nigga went dumb with that left pocket full of pink fizzy, right pocket got blues, and first album, first deal was low, like super low, because he already dropped albums. So it's like once you realize that, you'd be like, oh, because now your first deal, like instead of me getting, if I got a big song that blows up now, it's like oh well, you dropped an album called The Gift of Florida, and the Gifts of Florida only sold a thousand copies.
SPEAKER_05So they including all that album.
SPEAKER_03So if you only drop one album, that's your deal worth it, yep.
SPEAKER_05Damn.
SPEAKER_03So it's like can't drop no album. Nah.
SPEAKER_05Now when an okay, so let's say we have a new artist, because you know it's a lot of artists coming out um right now and they really want to figure out how to get how to reach their target art audience, like you just said. Um, a lot of times you drop that one song and the engagement might be high.
SPEAKER_06Yeah.
SPEAKER_05Next song you drop, the engagement might be low. But with you, it don't matter what you drop, your engagement is always high. How do you keep that engagement high and keep your like your supporters uh drawn in?
SPEAKER_03I would say that have a lot to do with like story posts, like real creation, because it's like, if I drop a song like Body T, that song will go so dumb. That song goes stupid dumb. I posted, no, my cousin posted the one that was sitting with me last time with Witch, posted something on his story. They're like, what song that is? I'm talking about just off eight seconds. He like, oh, that's my cousin's song. They're like, no, that's not your cousin. I posted on my story. People, you drop this? Nah. Send me the unreleased version. Nah, I send you $500 for or $200 for the unreleased. Nah, $500, nah. Bro, why you want the song? They talking about, bro, that shit is gas. I'm like, they were like, this one, this good, that's the one. I'm like, nah. Feeling dropping yet. I ain't dropping yet.
SPEAKER_05Paulo, why did you cut your hair?
SPEAKER_03Oh. So and the judge, he was seeing something, he was like, Yeah, y'all come in front of me, white eyes. Y'all come in front of me with all these crazy hairstyles, and so you ain't got no home training. Remember, your perception is reality. So I heard that when somebody else was getting their bond sentenced. So when I'm going out, I'm like, bro, they crack for the blitz me. Oh my god. They was like, somebody turned up on the judge, caught a recess, he didn't come back. He was like, all right, y'all, y'all got uh. So then they're like, okay, you got uh bond coming up. Finally got my bond, bonded out. I said, why ain't you going in front of that judge no loan half? You gotta get that shit. I cut my house so fast. I said, hey, look, dawg, give me a nice little something smooth, man. Something smooth.
SPEAKER_05Now, when you when I pull up your um your catalog, so let's say if I type your music in, KTM Polo. Not even your music, just Google you. When YouTube pull you up, they automatically label you a drill rapper. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. I don't know why.
SPEAKER_03I can see. You don't know why. I don't know. Well, I do know. I do know because gun talk, switchy talk, uh, free to ops.
SPEAKER_05Most of your catalog is drill music.
SPEAKER_03But that's I'm from Jacksonville. Like, what do you expect? Like, we a product of our environment, so we be like, like with the Fully One Young and Ace shit, or like the Warren R Mookie and shit like that, and Spotting Gun. Like, we seeing this shit like this, like this shit. Like, niggas be like, you'll get cut down the middle for not picking a side.
SPEAKER_05Uh-huh. Got this book.
SPEAKER_03So it's like, and like we, like, that's our life. So it's like, we make music that, like, for me, I make music like, I'm like, I like this. I don't give a fuck if you like it. Right. I like it. And it's like, I listen to this. You ain't gotta listen to this. This is shit that resonates with me. I got shit. This my life, I gotta rap out this shit. Like, I gotta, like, okay, I'm feeling mad. I'm gonna get on that bit. Richer than them BB niggas, but I stretch a few arms. Brandon Drake up in his whip. I'm trying to touch my new gun. Youngin' say we faking in them all. Why you ain't do nothing then? Like what? Like you say, like I'm richer than them niggas, man. I don't give a fuck what them niggas talking about. Them niggas talking about that. They pulling out prop cheese, nigga. This this this a United States of America. This is not this do not say no motherfucking emotion art. It is real. It is real. It is real.
SPEAKER_05No prop here, no prop money, no prop AR, no prop, none of that shit. Let me see the AR again. Listen, baby, baby. You missed it when I was holding that. Oh, the Drake.
SPEAKER_04This is the Drake.
SPEAKER_05Oh, the Drake. I'm sorry. I'm talking about, I'm talking about and that thing in my music.
SPEAKER_03Hold it here. Let me show you something. It's not the real shit. I'm talking about brand new Drake up in my car. I'm trying to tell you.
SPEAKER_05He just showed me how to hold it and my hand ain't on the trigger and it's on safety, y'all. Okay, now how this this thing heavy. How many bullets this hold?
SPEAKER_03About 45.
SPEAKER_0540.
SPEAKER_03I tried to hit a nigga with 45.
SPEAKER_0545. Now you know children walking around with these now.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, y'all shouldn't be walking around with that. Y'all should stay in school. Y'all should pray to God. Y'all should.
SPEAKER_05They looking up to y'all drill rappers.
SPEAKER_03I ain't no drill rapping.
SPEAKER_05Yes, you is. That's what YouTube said.
SPEAKER_03Listen.
SPEAKER_05That's what the YouTube said. I had an artist come up here last week and he specifically said that the reason why he said he dibbled and dived in drilled, but he feels as if once you start in drill, you kind of box yourself in. Do you agree with that statement?
SPEAKER_03They definitely box yourself in because nobody ain't gonna want to do songs with you. Because like back when me and Folio, before Fulio died, look, I'm gonna show you a message between me and Fulio.
SPEAKER_05I was gonna ask you whose side you was on, young and Ace of Fulio.
SPEAKER_03See, the the thing is, I'm on my side because I want to make money. I don't care about what they got going on, whether they like that's them, like at the end of the day, they don't give a fuck about me. You get what I'm saying? Like they don't be like, they ain't finna sit there and be like, hey, Polo, you shouldn't do this. Like, that's not gonna better your career. You're not gonna you shouldn't do that. That's not gonna better your career. Like back in 2019, I fought with Fulio so bad. Like when he Period. Only a only a rat. A thousand 2019, only a rat. And then so I did the song, I never released it, because my brother caught me. He was like, hey bro, I seen you doing promo for that Fulio song. I said, yeah. He said, don't do that. I say, why? He said, this nigga beef with everybody. Yeah. He said, when you do a song, this 2019. This is before I smoke anything. This that when I see you, because I'm from Jacksonville. So these people, I'll I can go into the store, I'll go to the store on my cree, I'll go to the store out east, on out west, I go to the projects and I'm like, I walk past the niggas, see them niggas, or they go uh foole right there. Cause then niggas don't call them Folio, niggas call them Foolie. Like Julio, Fully. I'd like, bro, shut the fuck up, bro. Yeah, sound stupid saying that. Or they be like, Charles, nigga. Like, you know what I'm saying? Niggas know the nigga. So they'll be like, so you'll walk past the nigga, you'll be like, cuh, keep walking to the store. Niggas be like, but don't, don't, don't say shit to them. Like, but nigga ain't no nobody ain't scared of a nigga. Nigga be like, niggas be like, don't be around the nigga. Because it's so much. Yeah, because niggas, even if you a dangerous nigga, you a killing King Vaughn, whatever you want to claim to be, you're not gonna go kill nobody. I niggas not gonna finna see me and kill me for no reason. Yeah. Niggas gonna be like, I don't like that nigga, so I'ma kill this nigga. Like, I'ma drive from Jacksonville on toll roads with license plates and go kill the nigga in my mama car.
SPEAKER_05That be some real stuff because I don't know if you seen the beef with First Lady. We got the drop queen down here right now. She recently got released. I think she did like 13 years in prison, but she put all the people on to the tax pride. She showed us how to get money.
SPEAKER_03Oh no, we hate scamming niggas. This shit come off the land. This shit took this time to grow.
SPEAKER_05This girl here, apparently she's pregnant by somebody, baby daddy. The girl drove from, I believe, Fort Myers. Damn. She was down here this morning, ready to fight a pregnant woman. By her. By the husband. But what I'm saying is, people will take that trip to come down here and handle some shit. Now, just like Fullio was down here, and that's what I asked the other person on the podcast. Shout out to Bill, get a check. That was our last podcast. That bitch is out right now. But I asked him this same question when it comes to this drill music, because you you just told me that you rap about it, but this ain't a life that you promote, or this is not a life that you glorify, and you feel as if kids should do, you know, go a different route.
SPEAKER_06Yeah, for sure.
SPEAKER_05But when Fullio, before Fullio died, you named a couple of the songs, Who I Smoke. I told the rapper I was in the club jamming to that bitch. I thought he was saying, ooh, I smoke. We from Tampa. We don't know what the fuck he's smoking on Lil Baby. How old were you when Lil' Baby passed away?
SPEAKER_03Baby passed away in 18. I just turned 17.
SPEAKER_05You had just turned 17.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, we know these, like we, like this and shit, like we like, like we see these niggas going home. Like we see these niggas going play bat football, basketball in the hood. We going out there to to to to to to like over there by hilltop. So over there by hilltop, you got something called like Normandy apartments. You got something called East Terrence apartments. You go over there and you see these niggas hooping. See these niggas playing football. You be like, this, give me a shot, cuz, throw that bit up. You know what I'm saying? Hey, we see these niggas. And these niggas just wore to what's iceberg. Like people only see what's at the top, but they don't see nothing at the bottom. That huge shit at the bottom, that something of Titanic. They don't see that. But it, you know what I'm saying?
SPEAKER_05So it's like What was your reaction when um when Youngin' Ace dropped 5 a.m. And what was that other song, Dead Ops? That wasn't his second song that he dropped. What was the song? It was 5A, 5 in the morning, got a call. Who was this dead on the floor, that on arrival, Mr. Six? That was right after Fullio died, he dropped that shit. That was the first one with the Don Julio and it's like. You're a very intelligent man in the court of the court of law. That makes it seem what? Like it was premeditated. Right?
SPEAKER_03Yeah.
SPEAKER_05Do that make you more skeptical, like, with your lyrics, knowing that um, like the laws are actually honing in on y'all's lyrics, and they really trying to paint. Whether it be true or false, they can make that shit because law is just painting the story. Yeah. That's it.
SPEAKER_03That's what people don't understand. Oh, yeah, that do make me like that's why certain shit, it's just like you can't, like, I can't, I can't never rap about. I can't never rap about, cuh. Hold on, let me, I'm in an interview real quick, cuh.
SPEAKER_04Oh, I'm gonna be there.
SPEAKER_03Yes, sir. Love you, cuh. Love safety, stay dangerous.
SPEAKER_05That's a gangster shit. Love stay dangerous.
SPEAKER_03Gotta stay dangerous.
SPEAKER_05But what do stay dangerous mean? You know I'm older.
SPEAKER_03The good die No, you ain't that older.
SPEAKER_05I am.
SPEAKER_03The good die young. And if you're bad, of course you go a little longer. So you gotta stay dangerous, cuz if this nigga plotting on me, or if I'm plotting on him, if I'm bad, if he's dangerous, bad stay away from dangerous. So if you stay dangerous, then you can't.
SPEAKER_05I like that. I like that. I like that. So give us a rundown. Okay, so right now you at Zoe Baby Podcast. We vibing in the vibe corner. Where were y'all before this?
SPEAKER_03We was in Daytona with Jim, S C Y Jim.
SPEAKER_05And that was yesterday.
SPEAKER_03Today.
SPEAKER_05Today.
SPEAKER_03At four, three, three to four.
SPEAKER_05And okay, so three to four, you was in Daytona.
SPEAKER_03Three to four p.m.
SPEAKER_05Then you slid down here.
SPEAKER_03Well, and before that, we was in Jacksonville doing more promo with Designer Closet in Jacksonville, Orange Park Mall. And then we was in before that, we was in motherfucking where you was in O'Cala. We was in Designer Closet at like two. Then before that, we was in O'Cala at 11. And then before that, we was at the motherfucking flea market at 8 in the morning.
SPEAKER_05And you was with him the whole time. That's a real motherfucking friend.
SPEAKER_03That's my brother.
SPEAKER_05Yeah, it got to be through at my mono meal motor. That's a lot of driving. That's a lot of driver.
SPEAKER_03That's normal for us, though. We beat the road. Like, oh God, people probably put like 10,000 miles on their car. Yeah, I do that in probably like a week. Nah, probably like um two, three weeks.
SPEAKER_05Now, when you um think of the biggest drill names, because Jack, okay, now first, before we get there, before we get there, where do you think drill originated from? Do you think it's from up north? Because a lot of people say that drill came from like the New York, Chicago area. Um, and then they'll bring up Chief Keefe, FPG Duck. Uh you hear Dirk a little bit, but you hear Mo Von when you think of um drill up north. And then you come down here and then we have Fullio and we have uh Young and Ace, J Dot. We have Spotham Gotham, we have Spotham. You don't think so?
SPEAKER_03Spotham a snitch.
SPEAKER_05You don't think he does drill rap though?
SPEAKER_03Nah.
SPEAKER_05Takashi 6ix9ine did drill, he was a snitch.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, he did. He did.
SPEAKER_05He was backed by the bloods and shit. He thought he was gangster.
SPEAKER_03Now he was paying.
SPEAKER_05Yeah, he was paying them for callers that paying them for protection and they fucked him up. Ain't that some shit?
SPEAKER_03That's why the mob do business how they do business, because you gotta do some shit that you ain't ever gonna be able to take back ever.
SPEAKER_05Okay, so um. Alright, you didn't answer the question. Where did it come from? Up north, where do you think it originated from?
SPEAKER_03Well, Florida. Tupac and Biggie Ben did that. So New York and California.
SPEAKER_05I'm talking about the New Age drill.
SPEAKER_03The New Age Drill definitely probably came.
SPEAKER_05Back then they was like, I fucked your wife type shit. They weren't talking about how to do that.
SPEAKER_03Nah, Tupac didn't hit him up, hit him up.
SPEAKER_05Yeah, but he wasn't talking about how he drove past and shot a bitch. He was talking about what he would do, not what he did do.
SPEAKER_02Biggie Smokes did the same thing.
SPEAKER_03What he would I mean the young the the first was probably young Pappy and young Joe.
SPEAKER_02I ain't gonna lie to you, you really want to know where the first really drove.
SPEAKER_03Where you think it came from, Car?
SPEAKER_02People gonna be amazed, but it really started from the UK. Oh yeah, okay, yeah.
SPEAKER_03For sure.
SPEAKER_02I write it up, baby fate. And then New York got a hold of it and then.
SPEAKER_05Well, you can't, New York is interchangeable.
SPEAKER_01Okay, nobody say.
SPEAKER_05Okay, so New York was before the South. Yeah. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
SPEAKER_01Okay, so first it went. You say Midwest, then the South.
SPEAKER_03Midwest.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, like cut Chicago.
SPEAKER_03I don't I'm gonna say UK, New York, Chicago. Cause young Pappy 2015 rolled that shit up. That nigga said, cut that Keefe off. That shit so we. I say fuck. Before Chief Keefe.
SPEAKER_05Yeah, but I love Chief Keefe. Them bitches love souls. So that was my shit back then. Nah, I ain't no. I used to think I was a gangster.
SPEAKER_03But I like that one song by Chief Black Ops 3. That shit was so old, but I'm gonna do that.
SPEAKER_05I like um, I like Oblot from King Vaughn.
SPEAKER_03I ain't never known.
SPEAKER_05I be saying that shit like I be saying it like it's my life.
SPEAKER_03I don't like them overly tough.
SPEAKER_05You would think I just got some top from a stripper bitch. Oh from Canker Chief.
SPEAKER_03I don't know. I just don't like them overly tough.
SPEAKER_05Just got a glock with a super bitch, boy. Don't play with me. I'm such a hoe. Man, I had the stove. You know how it goes. You ain't never heard that.
SPEAKER_03What is that song?
SPEAKER_02Take her to the O.
SPEAKER_05Yeah.
SPEAKER_03Like Orlando?
SPEAKER_02No, no. No, that's the name of the song.
SPEAKER_05Cause you know they O Block.
SPEAKER_03Oh, no, I don't listen to no Oblog.
SPEAKER_05And that was the diss song that he created and he was telling the story from what they said. Allegedly, y'all don't get up here and make like I'm goddamn hip hop news report or something. But when I was doing my research, they said he wrote that song um saying how he set FBG D, um FBG Duck up for a robbery, correct? Yeah, they were saying he set FBG Duck up and he pretty much rapped about it. And um, yeah, that's what the hell I'm saying. Um do you think drill music gets unfairly judged and misconstrued? Yeah, yeah, for sure. Cause like
SPEAKER_03Like, it ain't funny. Like, Folio. Like, I can only talk about what I know for a fact. Because it's like, it's like even talking about it, niggas may get mad, like, oh fuck, nigga, you tripping like that, but it bada bada. It's not the business. I'm like, listen, I'm just telling you what I think. What it is, yeah. But in my opinion, bro, I'm not saying this facts. Like, this is not gonna get you paid or not. Whatever you think you do, don't front your move on me. But like, people be like, fully be like, why y'all beat La Papa at the mall? And then niggas sitting there like, oh, we don't fuck with that. But like, I fuck with Pac, because Pop was more about making money. Like, like that nigga, that nigga said I want to slide and leave all bad pollen on the internet.
SPEAKER_05La Papa, the one that committed suicide. Everybody from Jacksonville talk about La Papa, so he must be a big ass name down there. I didn't know too much about La Papa. I never listened to like his music or anything, but I'm not big on drill music. I listened to some of your music, but I'm not big on the drill scene.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, and that's what that's why I really realized I gotta transfer my music. But look, I feel like drill music, like people will be like, oh, ace more famous than Fuldio, so Ace Song must be better. And people, people will like perfect example, right? Babyface know you and me. Right? Babyface will be like, are you seeing, but no no, Babyface don't know me, right? Babyface knows Zoe, but he don't know Polo. He'll be like, oh, this nigga Polo just dropped a new song. Let me reshare it because this nigga pretty cool to me. I don't know him. So I'm gonna support him. Babyface know you. This is the only example. But it's like, Babyface will be like, oh, I know Zoe. Man, I know Zoe. She ain't gonna get mad if I don't share her shit. Polo don't know Babyface and Babyface know Polo kinda, so it's like that's how it is. Shout out Babyface, though. Y'all niggas better.
SPEAKER_05Yeah, shout out to motherfucking babyface, because he reshare and re-bost everything. Shout out to my dog. That's my motherfucking dog.
SPEAKER_03I'm talking about real niggas straight off of stage.
SPEAKER_05You already know.
SPEAKER_03Real nigga, yeah. But it's like people close to you won't share your shit. Like people, like I said earlier, like people will only do what's beneficial to them. So like people, your brothers, like my little sister asked for some cheese today, uh the other day. I say, name five KTM Polo songs. She couldn't only name two. But she needed $500. Uh-huh. I asked a random person. We was in the mall, motherfuckers taking pictures with Polo. They know damn near every song. They're like, bro, why you ain't dropping no song, bro? You ain't dropped the song since May. I'm like, shit, fuck. I ain't know I ain't dropping songs since May. Niggas told myself, bro, you ain't been dropping, bro, you been slacking, bro.
SPEAKER_05I just told you the same shit.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, I'm telling you, and I don't be knowing, and it's like, it's like crazy. Like these people support me, but they don't know me. Like they wouldn't, like good, like these people folks care about me. Right. Like more than I care about them. Cause like I don't, they they supporters. And I don't call nobody fans because I call everybody supporting.
SPEAKER_05I love that. Because I was gonna ask you what is the difference between a fan and support. Like somebody called me a fan, and I'm like, bro, I don't even know two of your motherfucking songs, and you calling me a goddamn fan. I ain't asked you for named signature or nothing.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, like I think the difference between a fan, so a fan, it'll be like somebody that's like, like niggas from my city. Niggas be super fans of these niggas, these rock niggas. Like these niggas be ready to, you think these niggas ready to be transgenders and get pranked by these niggas. These niggas be sitting there like, oh my God, bro, you doing a song with Jim, you doing a song with Tanner, you doing a song with Will Boy, you doing a song with Golden Boy. Fuck nigga, polo doing a song with these niggas, bro. Don't fucking say you niggas, fuck wrong with you. Like, these niggas sit there and be like, bro, when you do that song, Polo, or you do that song with Jim, bro, these niggas gonna be blah, blah, blah, blah. I'm like, bruh, come on, bro, nigga. I'm the same nigga from the block, nigga. Same nigga from the hood. Them fans, fanned out ass niggas that act like worse than females type shit. Yeah. It's like supporters be like, polo, oh man, polo, I don't really like the video that you posted because I don't like the image. But I'm gonna like the video, but I'm not gonna share. Supporters go tell you what it is and what it ain't.
SPEAKER_05Can I tell you something? I had a friend. I had a friend when I um when I first started, I had a somebody that I called a best friend, right? We're we're not close friends no more. But the girl told me that, I'm sorry, bestie, I don't watch your podcast because I'm not really into the music scene, into the underground music people no more. But I told her, I say, well, hell, you weren't in the making until the bitch told you making was hot. You weren't in a glorilla until the bitch told you Glorilla was hot. And outside of the music, every one of the artists that I encountered, and I love this about all of y'all, y'all actually have a story to tell. You get what I'm saying? So people be your family and your close friends, them gonna be the ones that don't watch your ass. That's exactly what you just said, and I'm tissing. I shouldn't have took a shot of this shit right here.
SPEAKER_03Well, you give us a known?
SPEAKER_05He just gave you spray.
SPEAKER_03I'm like, uh-oh. Damn, you don't. Oh damn.
SPEAKER_05Oh my gosh. Now we see um a lot of these rappers um getting into it where they're getting in trouble legally. We just literally just talked about that. Why do you feel like despite everything that's going on, people still decide? Because we saw it with first we saw it with Y and W. Melly. Yeah. YW Melly went down.
SPEAKER_04Bad.
SPEAKER_05You know, murder he rapping and crying about that shit. Had me thugging it out wing him in the money. I ain't even got murder on my motherfucking mind, but I got murder on my mind, and now his ass locked up. And he done been in that bitch by eight years. Eight years. Ain't no such thing as speedy trial, clearly. I don't know what the fuck is going on with that.
SPEAKER_03It clearly ain't. That's a federal charge, though. Federal charge is different. Federal charge is way different than states. Brody, my my dog beat my dog beat the states in his when that nigga Rallon said my dog beat the state in his face, case got beat up by the face. Real shit.
SPEAKER_05That's crazy as hell. But we seen it with YNW Melly, right? Dog came out, did the same bullshit. Uh Fullio came out, did the same bullshit. Each of them had different outcomes. Fullio no longer here. Young and they're wrapped up in some shit that he probably had shit to do with. Everywhere you go, you see all this shit. Why do you think people still promote this in music?
unknownAnd Pooh Shysy.
SPEAKER_05Yo, definitely Pooh Shite. Yeah, Pooh Shite just robbed Gucci and came out with a song and rapped about it. Then Gucci came out and did a response to Pooh Shite about it. Yeah, for real. I just feel like it just goes too far because we seen that shit from. You see the video? We seen that shit with young and Ace and Fullio from 10 years ago. You and Jacksonville, I'm on the outside looking in, but you know if you go on YouTube, it's everywhere. Everybody doing something about Jacksonville and these two groups going at it.
SPEAKER_03Yeah.
SPEAKER_05Why do they still promote the shit in their music?
SPEAKER_03It's what it's what get them viral. Like people care more about how the world sees them than how they see themselves. So it's like, it's like it's a problem with themselves. Like people are more likely to be like, fans care more if I'm dissing Favor Dead homies. People care more if I'm talking shit about this fuck nigga that I don't fuck with no more. Because people sit there and be like, oh, that fuck nigga did something to me. I'm gonna be a fuck nigga too. You ain't gotta be a fuck nigga, be a real nigga, bro. But just fuck the nigga. That's it. Say fuck the nigga, you ain't gotta fuck with the jit no more. But niggas be so pie and so sharp to the point where they feel like they gotta get revenge. Like that's something hoes do that tit for tat shit. That's why mentality. Like that's bitch mentality. And that won't really give niggas an opportunity to even come close to the circle. You'll get your ass turned, you a square ass nigga, you'll never make it to the circle, period. And so it's like people care too much about how the world sit down. I don't give a fuck. Niggas be like, this nigga Polo got a degree, this nigga Polo got a job. Fuck nigga, of course. Fuck nigga, make that money eight ways like an octopus. Dumb ass nigga.
SPEAKER_05I like that. Make that money because they got eight tentacles. I'm telling you, eight ways like a couple of shoes. I fuck with you for the house. Oh, I promise you.
SPEAKER_03I promise you, I can never, like, one thing I can never do is like be like, oh, I ain't got it.
SPEAKER_05Yeah.
SPEAKER_03I can imagine telling my sister, my mom, my brother, no, I ain't got it.
SPEAKER_05You always got it.
SPEAKER_03Fuck nigga, what? Fuck nigga, what?
SPEAKER_05So you you pretty much the man of the house.
SPEAKER_03I'm the man of the generation. I feel like I gotta help my cousin, my grandma, my auntie, my mom, my daddy, my brother. Not my daddy, I don't fuck with nigga. My everybody but my daddy. Yeah. Like everybody but my dad, I gotta help.
SPEAKER_05But do you feel like you not having like that close relationship with your dad? Do you feel like that put more pressure on you as a child? And if so, when did that pressure start for you?
SPEAKER_03I feel like, yeah, for sure, because it's like a lot of people don't know I got like twin sisters, really. Like Nika. So it's like people don't understand like it's my twin, so it's like it's like when when when my mama had hit the fears in Atlanta, I had to go to foster care because my daddy came down and got my sister and left me down there. So my grandma done didn't come get me. So like I'm in foster care system, so it's like my daddy's like, oh I can't help me. Y'all gotta do what y'all gotta do so them folks put me in foster care. So it's like and I was like 13. So it was like by me being 14, I used to pay a crackhead and uh get an apartment of their name. They just needed to see payment studs. You just adobe added that. And then they get their little uh thing. And then so I'm living by myself, trapping. At 14. At 14. And then my mama, I'm running to my mama when she get out, she knows I'm trapping. Where you getting this money from? Like, I mean, they get off the block. And then like my mama and I tripping. My mama teaching me, oh, if you a robber nigga, do it like this. If you a robber still, do it like this. If you wanna smoke, you can smoke. My mama ain't care if I smoke, but I didn't never wanted to smoke, cause I was like, I refuse to smoke when I sell this shit. Like, I ain't no hustle. And so I'm by myself going to school with a gun in my back. Nigga talking about something, you ain't gonna make it in life. That's why I always thought I'd go down when I'm 14. Cause most kids look up the Batman, Superman, LeBron, Michael Jordan. I looked up the motherfucking Pablo Escobar, Scarface. I used to watch that shit every three months just to see how my life is. Like, nigga Scarface got a suit, nigga. I ain't got a suit, nigga. Go there and get a suit. They talking about some, oh, where you going to? Uh wedding, funeral? Like, prom? I'm like, prom. I just need a suit, nigga. I need a suit, man. But like, it's like, that's what I looked up to. So it's like, like, people be like, oh boy, you a bad as fuck. Like, even talking to Jim, that nigga Jim talking about something, boy, you you a bad as fuck growing up. And I was just like, he like, bro, niggas counting you out for sure. And I'm like, nah, I know. And then like just thinking about the shit like where I came from, it's like, I just looked up to different types of niggas than these niggas. Like, nigga always had hoodreams. I ain't played basketball, football growing up. I was like, boy, I don't give a fuck about that. Like, nigga, I'm trying to be when a dope soul, money fold, that means a deal. Dumb, nigga. Like, that was me. These niggas talking about something like, oh, I'm gonna go to college for football. Nigga, I'm gonna go pro in the trap, nigga. I'm gonna show you how to turn a 3-5 to a to a seven to a motherfucking halftime to a motherfucking Q uh uh a zip into a motherfucking QP. Like, boy, I'm gonna show you. I'm I'm gonna buck fifty, tell the fuck, nigga, come fuck with me. Like, I'm dead serious nigga shit. But see that's how I'm saying, like, me not having no dad, but that shit was like giving my mama money for rent. She ain't even asking me 15, 16 years old where I ain't getting the money from. She knows I'm getting the money from. So she so she's sitting there like not asking where the money coming from. She's taking the money. And I ain't saying my mama, bad mama, like, everything happened the way it's supposed to happen, but it's like, it's like, my sister, to she'll love death. That's my big sister. I love her so much. Like, she worked two jobs. That was my role model growing up, too, my sister. Cause I used to see how she worked two jobs. Like, she'll be like, You need some uh money for school? Nah, nah. She like, where you got money from? I'm like, oh shit, my brother gave me money because I know my sister's gonna be mad if she figured out what I'm doing. So I'm like, oh my brother Travante gave me money, poo-poo. She'll be like, oh, okay. Uh well, I'm still gonna get to send you some money for some shoes. Since I'm up like 10 ball. At 16, I'm up 10,000. And then I met my white mom, the one that fostered me uh through the JDC, like juvenile detention center, like uh uh uh sponsorship program. I forgot what it is, like when the adults come show you how to live. Cause my mama owned car dealerships and apartment complex, so they sponsor me. And so I met my mama and she like real dope. I protected her son from like some shit that happened in the hood. I guess somebody was trying to stab him or something. And I was just like, nah, bro, y'all chill out, bruh. Cause niggas in the hood respect the nigga. So they like, bruh, nah, that white boy X, Y, and Z, X, Y, and Z. I'm like, bruh, chill out, bro. That's my little brother, man. Y'all gotta chill, man. And then like once he told his mama what happened, she like, oh, well, I know him anyway. Woo-doo, woo-doo. So like that happened, and then so she was like, all right, you, so she just like kind of fostered me, not adopted, but she fostered me to the point where it's like, I'm a mama, like, you know what I'm saying? I love her like I made her, but then like my sister's like, I'm a baby, like she really like I ain't had no male role models except for like Scarf. Like, that's what I'm saying. Like, nobody can't tell me really nothing. Cause it's like, I'm like, bro, I done did everything by myself. Like from my 14 years old, I ain't had no mama, no daddy, no sis, no brother for real. I raised myself. Like, people tell me all the time, like Favor, not my real brother, but they be like, what they say, uh, I don't see how because I used to get on niggas' ass. I'm talking about in church, no matter what, I used to whoop niggas' asses, tajar, anybody, trade quant, whoop niggas' asses. I'm talking about, ooh, overbeat niggas. And then like niggas like, I don't see how you vo like, uh, I don't see how you ain't beat up Favor yet. And they talking about Favor, oh, I don't see why Polo ain't beat you up for some shit like that. Favor's so motherfucking cool, dude. He even talk a lot. He barely talked.
SPEAKER_05He be talking a lot.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, Favor chat. No, that nigga fall asleep. That nigga narcoleptic as fuck. And niggas, I'm like, I'm like, what you mean? And they telling that nigga like Polo be there for everybody, that nigga fight everybody, like, since elementary school, fighting teachers and shit like that. So I just like, I'm like, nah, man, I'm just chilling, bro. So I don't know, I feel like I'm emotional as a dude. Like, people be scared to admit they're emotional. Well, I'm super emotional. You are? Super emotional. I be I be flashing out quick.
SPEAKER_05Now, in a maze, you said, um, how you claiming that's your dog when you the reason he called a case and my cousin snitched on me. See what I'm saying?
SPEAKER_03My cousin snitched on me.
SPEAKER_05So that's who that was about? Yeah, that's about it.
SPEAKER_03That's that who that loved was about how you claiming that's your dog. Well, nah, that's really about that one light-skinned nigga from the city that became.
SPEAKER_05But you done seen that a lot of times.
SPEAKER_03Nigga got caught with a hundred bowls and ain't do no time.
SPEAKER_05See what I'm saying? I watched this, um, I don't know if you've seen this real. It's like a, I think the boy 26 years old went in jail when he was 17, I believe. And um, he went to jail for murder. Homeboy snitched on a marijuana. And he ended up getting, I think, 30 years in prison. He was 26 years old, preaching the message like that shit ain't real in the streets. So. Uh, what has been your chasing your dreams? What has been your biggest disappointment and then your biggest blessing?
SPEAKER_03My biggest disappointment probably has been my biggest blessing. My biggest disappointment was like people not showing me, like, showing up for me like I show up for them. Cause shit, if men is totally locked in, she be like, I need the clothes off your back and the shoes off your feet. Yeah. I need this, I need, I need 90 racks to make me look good for this video. Shit, hit take it. You get signed. Oh my god, I'm so happy for you. Like, I swear to God, I'm happy. I'm screaming, I'm happy, like, oh my god. Fuck nigga, you seen this on you, fuck nigga, I mean I already turn the fuck up, dumb ass nigga. Like, man, come on, man. We fucking this shit is everywhere. Like, that was my biggest disappointment when niggas didn't show up for me, but that was like what I needed, because it's like I needed this. I seen a couple people change on me. And it's like now, I ain't got no dead weight on me. So it's like running this shit up way quicker than I'm like. I'm talking about like 10 days. Like, it's crazy to believe like I'm supposed to be at work. Like 10 days off work and I done rent up 40. 30, 30 plus and the fuck off bunny pal. So it's like I don't know just anything blessing, man. God, God be my biggest blessing, because it's like, people don't understand, God'll sit your ass down. Yeah. He'll sit you down and show you, like, bro, I close these doors for a reason. Cause I I need you to come closer to me. And like, that's what a lot of things people don't understand. Like, my biggest blessing was probably God, like, telling me, like, like, boy, come here. Like, I'm gonna show you something. And then it's like, he'll show you, like, these people not for you. These people for you. These people don't care about you. These people do care about you. Like, I don't intend that for you, because I can pray to God, like, God, please let me be the best rapper, biggest rapper, hardest rapper ever. God'll probably be like, but I don't want you to do that. I don't want you to make no trap music. No, no, cause I feel like you got so much power in your voice, and you show your presence go encourage people to do the wrong thing. But I want you to do this.
SPEAKER_05Now, okay, KTM Polo. What can we expect from KTM? That's different from Polo the A Baby.
SPEAKER_03KTM way more branding. KTM is like, it's like who polo should have been. Polo the A Baby. Polo the A Baby was more mainstream. Like, I was just trying to focus on like I was really Polo the A Baby was like a industry plant kind of thing. It was like I was only saving up. Like I probably would have saved up 30 rights and did a song with Boss Man Did on that was it. Promoted it, uh Woot the Woot-oot. Excuse me. I would have probably saved up. Probably like 50, 60K did a song with Lil Baby. Probably saved up a song, money and did songs with famous people only.
unknownRight?
SPEAKER_03Polo A Baby was more like uh, I'm just trying to make money off of music. It's not like I care about music. It's like I'm only in here for the money. Like it's nothing more. So if you want to hear pop, you'll hear pop. If you want to hear like Drake type music, you'll hear Drake type music. But KTM Polo is like, like, nigga, this is me. Like I'm from 46 and Monaco, like this 904 shit, it tattered on me. Like this shit, like, but the streets is in me. Like, like 1099 Crown Street. You cut that bit if you want to. I promise you it's swinging though, but but this shit is like me, this is my life. I gotta clean this shit. So with KTM Polo, that's like more authentic, more like, like shit, you finna hear everything about me. Like, cut that dope up right in front of nigga, just like it's been in Hannah's. Look at this shit. Like, look at that. Look at him here. See what I'm saying? See what I'm saying? KTM Polo finna be the nigga that's like, like nigga, real Florida boy. I'm talking about like real drop the dump golds over diamonds, upgrade the dump or gold for the diamonds. Tony.
SPEAKER_05Oh my god.
SPEAKER_03You ain't supposed to never do that, kids. Y'all put to stay in school, read a book.
SPEAKER_05You gonna rap, you gonna rap a song about that?
SPEAKER_03What?
SPEAKER_05About the kids staying in school.
SPEAKER_03Oh yeah, I started I started making more gospel music too. Like I was like.
SPEAKER_05As KTM Polo. As KT and Polo.
SPEAKER_03I like, I might sing and repent, but I thank God for my life. I be wanting to catch a body. God won't think I'm living right. Triple crossing around my body, blocking out the pulse of guys. Everything I do is righteous. God the center of my life. I be praying, having questions. What's the meaning of this life? I see. It's like we the chosen one. I forgot what I said, but it's like if this rat shit don't work, like I got something got away. I was I know I I make a million dollars in my off anything. Real estate, what you need, a house. I make a million dollars off a off a selling cardboard. What you need a box for? I'm gonna tell you how to try to make a million box for a tonny, like I'm sorry, tiny. And then I gotta be somebody that my niece and nephew are proud of. Because my niece done be like, they be, it be, oh my uncle do music. And then people be text me on YouTube, you know, it's great. Are you hate? Are you Hayton's uncle? You hate his uncle. Man.
SPEAKER_05Period.
SPEAKER_03I'm like, man, now what you feeling for the video?
SPEAKER_05Um, yeah, but my niece is the same exact way. I ain't even gonna BS you. You can't tell her her auntie ain't no celebrity. And I ain't even pop like you. Nah, you is a celebrity. But my auntie, my niece be like, T T, I seen your show, and oh my gosh, that rapper. Well, I'm telling you what be crazy.
SPEAKER_03What? People be like, hey bro, plug me in with Zoe then. I'm like, text them. Text them. They're like, nah, bruh. I be scared. I'd be like, Zoe, Zoe bad. I'm like. I say, man, you better text Zoe, man. Text Zoe, man. Like niggas, niggas have seen me do something and then go do it. But I be like, go ahead, man. Now I'll be trying to tell people like nobody can't beat me being me. Like you'll never beat me being me. I'm so me, like, like my mom and daddy, white, I can't be a nigga. I promise. I can't beat no other nigga. I promise you.
