Morning by Morning, April 21, 2025 - Resurrection Lifestyle — “He is Risen” in Us and through Us
Good morning, Lord Jesus. Let Your resurrection life, Your resurrection power arise in me and all of Your disciples this day and every day. ...
“He is not here; for He is risen, as He said” (Matthew 28:6).
Yesterday morning, on Resurrection Sunday, I got up very early in the morning, like when “Mary Magdalene went to the tomb early, while it was still dark” on that first Resurrection Sunday long ago (John 20:1). I was invited to preach the Easter Sunrise Service up on the mountain overlooking Kerrville, Texas at base of the 77.7 feet tall Empty Cross at The Coming King Sculpture Garden with architect evangelist Max Greiner. But when I got up early to pray and prepare, torrential rain was pouring down, violent winds were gusting amid predictions of rain, hail, and even a tornado. But the sun broke through! And the Light of the Glory of God in Jesus Christ was shining forth! (2 Corinthians 4:4) Praise God!
Thank You, Lord Jesus! You are “the Son” who broke through for us. Hell couldn’t hold You; Death could overcome You; the Grave had no power over you. You are risen! You are alive! You have overcome! And now we are empowered to overcome with Your resurrection life in us!
Lord, let this be more than a day on our calendar. Let this be more than a remembrance of Your day of resurrection victory from that day long ago. Empower us with a resurrection lifestyle every day. Live Your resurrection in us. Live Your resurrection through us.
Bring Your life into every life You would touch, You would change, You would inspire and empower. For “we are ambassadors for Christ” (2 Corinthians 5:20). We are ambassadors of Your resurrection power, Your resurrection life, empowered and sent to live out a resurrection lifestyle in the power of Your grace every day in our world.
“He is risen” in us! “He is risen” through us! In Jesus’ name I pray. Amen.
