Morning by Morning, July 30, 2025 - River of Life

Good morning, Lord Jesus. All of me for all of You, as I begin my day embraced by Father, centered in Christ, and filled with Holy Spirit. ...

“And he showed me a pure river of water of life, clear as crystal, proceeding from the throne of God and of the Lamb. In the middle of its street, and on either side of the river, was the tree of life, which bore twelve fruits, each tree yielding its fruit every month. The leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations” (Revelation 22:1-2).

Lord Jesus. You are the River of Life. You are the Living Water (John 4:10).

Yesterday, we down into the valley of “the slums” area of Nyeri, Kenya to give to the poor, to share the Word of God and the Bread of Life, in partnership with a ministry there providing education to the children and encouragement to the people. And a river runs through it.

In many ways, that river has represented death with unclean waters that bring sickness and disease. But as we climbed up to a high place overlooking that valley to pray, You gave us words of life to proclaim a River of Life to runs through the hearts of the people and the land.

You gave Bishop Gachengo, who oversees the ministry and one of the churches there, a vision of transformation for that valley. And as we prayed and proclaimed, as we called forth Your vision for that valley by the leading of Your Spirit, our team (Pastor Jeff, Mandie, Levi and Laurie), joined in that hope, filled with faith, that You are the God who sees and hears and transforms.

Even as our group prayed and sang over the valley, souls came to be saved and drink of the River of Life. One man received Jesus in his heart and renounced his addiction to sniffing glue, then threw down and stomped his plastic bottle of glue. Praise God! Let the Life of Christ fill his heart and fill this valley! In Jesus’ name I pray. Amen.

Written and sent out from the morning prayer time of Tommy Hays each day.

God bless you and may you have a great day!
