Morning by Morning Daily Prayer Journey with Tommy Hays of Messiah Ministries
Heading Home from Kenya with Joy—Exhausted and Exhilarated! - Morning by Morning, August 5, 2025
“Then the seventy returned with joy, saying, ‘Lord, even the demons are subject to us in Your name.’
“And (Jesus) said to them, ‘I saw Satan fall like lightning from heaven. Behold, I give you the authority to trample on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt you. Nevertheless do not rejoice in this, that the spirits are subject to you, but rather rejoice because your names are written in heaven’” (Luke 10:17-20).
Written and sent out from the morning prayer time of Tommy Hays each day.
God bless you and may you have a great day!

Morning by Morning, August 5, 2025 - Heading Home from Kenya with Joy—Exhausted and Exhilarated!
Good morning, Lord Jesus. Where You go, I will go, as Your follow and disciple, seeking to be as faithful as I can (Matthew 4:19). ...
Writing my morning prayer today from the Heathrow Airport in London on my way home from Kenya to Texas, I’m both exhausted and exhilarated. I praise You for all You have done and excited for all You will do, as Your name is gloried and Your kingdom is advanced. I reminded of a time when Your first disciples returned with joy, having completed one of their mission of preaching the good news, healing the broken-hearted, and setting the captives free in the authority of Your name:
“Then the seventy returned with joy, saying, ‘Lord, even the demons are subject to us in Your name.’
“And (Jesus) said to them, ‘I saw Satan fall like lightning from heaven. Behold, I give you the authority to trample on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt you. Nevertheless do not rejoice in this, that the spirits are subject to you, but rather rejoice because your names are written in heaven’” (Luke 10:17-20).
Their great joy in faithfulness to You brought You great joy in thankfulness to our Father:
“In that hour Jesus rejoiced in the Spirit and said, ‘I thank You, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, that You have hidden these things from the wise and prudent and revealed them to babes. Even so, Father, for so it seemed good in Your sight. All things have been delivered to Me by My Father, and no one knows who the Son is except the Father, and who the Father is except the Son, and the one to whom the Son wills to reveal Him.’
“Then (Jesus) turned to His disciples and said privately, ‘Blessed are the eyes which see the things you see; for I tell you that many prophets and kings have desired to see what you see, and have not seen it, and to hear what you hear, and have not heard it’” (Luke 10:21-24).
Thank You, Lord, for blessing my eyes to see the things I have seen and the words of praise to You I have heard. In the authority of Your name, we saw salvations of souls, healing of bodies and hearts, freedom from spiritual captivity, cleansing of the land, opening of the heavens, and Fire of Revival. Thank You, for letting me be a part of what You are doing in this people and their land and in the nations of the earth in these days before Your return!
Thank You for speaking into the heart of my great friend for many years, who hosted my very first revival meeting under a tent in a tabaco field in rural Kentucky near the site of the famous Cane Ridge Revival, to invite me to be the Evangelist for the ministry team from his church. It was such an honor and joy to join with them (Pastor Jeff, Mandie, Levi, Laurie), along with Aaron and his sons, under the leadership and coordination of Bishop Gachengo and the citywide Council of Bishops of Nyeri, Kenya and Rev. Dr. Harrison from Washington currently and Sabasaba, Kenya originally.
Our last night of our last crusade was in the Kings’ City community of Nyeri. Named for an ancient tribal king, but now redeemed through prayer and prophetic proclamation as the city of the King of Kings and Lord of Lords. Chairman of the citywide Bishop’s Council, Bishop Paul, declared there had never been a meeting like this in that community with such a spirit of unity from all the various churches coming together and such a Presence of the Spirit of the Lord on those grounds, as we all worshipped and prayed and ministered the healing love of God in Jesus’ mighty name in the power of the Holy Spirit. They want us to come again and again, the Lord willing with Your provision and grace.
Look what the Lord has done! Look what the Lord is doing and will do!
In Jesus’ name I pray. Amen.
