Flourish Like a Tree Planted by the Waters - Morning by Morning, August 13, 2025
“Blessed is the man who trusts in the Lord,
And whose hope is the Lord.
For he shall be like a tree planted by the waters,
Which spreads out its roots by the river,
And will not fear when heat comes;
But its leaf will be green,
And will not be anxious in the year of drought,
Nor will cease from yielding fruit” (Jeremiah 17:7-8).

Morning by Morning, August 13, 2025 - Flourish Like a Tree Planted by the Waters
Good morning, Lord Jesus. Be at the center of my heart and every moment of my day. ...
“Blessed is the man who trusts in the Lord,
And whose hope is the Lord.
For he shall be like a tree planted by the waters,
Which spreads out its roots by the river,
And will not fear when heat comes;
But its leaf will be green,
And will not be anxious in the year of drought,
Nor will cease from yielding fruit” (Jeremiah 17:7-8).
Keep my faith and hope grounded in You, like a tree planted by the waters.
Those who trust in You, who keep trusting in You, even through the times of sweltering heat of hardships, even through the times of dryness and drought, will continue to flourish and thrive in their hearts. They will continue to yield fruit, the fruit of the Spirit of God.
“The fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control” (Galatians 5:22-23).
Let Your fruit be produced through my life, with my heart near to You, “like a tree planted by the waters.”
You are the Living Water (John 4:10). Your Spirit fills me up to nourish me and flow through me as Living Water that bears Your fruit as You develop Your heart, Your character in me. As You said, “If anyone thirsts, let him come to Me and drink. He who believes in me, as the Scripture has said, out of his heart will flow rivers of living water” (John 7:37-38). “This He spoke concerning the Spirit, whom those believing in Him would receive” (John 7:39).
Thank You, my Heavenly Father. Come, Holy Spirit of God. Keep my heart planted in my deeply personal relationship with Jesus, that I may flourish and thrive, no matter what season I’m in or challenges I go through. In Jesus’ name I pray. Amen.
