Morning by Morning, September 4, 2025 – “The Lord is Good"
Good morning, Lord Jesus. Come into every moment of my day. ...
“Taste and see that the Lord is good; blessed is the one who takes refuge in Him” (Psalm 24:8).
Thank You for Your goodness, Lord God. You are good and You are God!...
You’re good when all is well with my soul.
And You’re good when I’m troubled in my mind, will or emotions of my soul.
You’re good when I know You’re the Answer to every question.
And You’re good when I have so many more questions than answers.
You’re good when my spirit is flying high with thanksgiving and praise.
And You’re good when I have to remind myself to “Rejoice Always. Pray without ceasing. Give thanks in all things” no matter what’s going on.
You’re good in the first moments of my morning with only You on my mind.
And You’re good in the moments of my day when my mind can feel overwhelmed or confused.
You’re good when my heart feels Your peace like a river.
And You’re good when it feels like the enemy’s coming in like a flood.
You’re good when I’m walking in the ways of righteousness by the power of Your grace.
And You’re good when I stumble and fall, crying out to You to lift me up.
You’re good all the time.
And all the time, You are good.
So in my prayers, in my hopes, in my chosen attitude of heart and perspective of mind, I choose to “Taste and see that (You) are good.” I choose to “take refuge in (You).” Right now and by the power of Your grace at work within me, throughout the moments of my day. This day and every day. In Jesus’ name I pray. Amen.
