Heir of Hope through Rebirth and Renewal of the Holy Spirit - Morning by Morning, October 6, 2025
“But when the kindness and love of God our Savior appeared, He saved us, not because of righteous things we had done, but because of His mercy. He saved us through the washing of rebirth and renewal by the Holy Spirit, whom He poured out on us generously through Jesus Christ our Savior, so that, having been justified by His grace, we might become heirs having the hope of eternal life” (Titus 3:4-7).
Freshly written and sent out immediately "morning by morning" from the morning prayer time of Tommy Hays each day.
God bless you and you have a great day!

Morning by Morning, October 6, 2025 – Heir of Hope through Rebirth and Renewal of the Holy Spirit
Good morning, Lord Jesus. Be at the center of my life and every moment of my day (Colossians 3:3). ...
“Rebirth” — to be born again. “Renewal” — to be made new again.
Lord, let me never take for granted that I’m not the same anymore. Let me always be reminded that I am always being renewed. You’ve saved me and You are sanctifying me. You are making me more like You every day, as I keep entrusting every day to You. As You are, so am I to be (1 John 4:17).
You’ve “poured out” Your Holy Spirit “upon us generously” — not holding back, not neglecting any good thing. “No good thing does He withhold from those whose walk is blameless” (Psalm 84:11).
Only by the grace of God, only by the mercy of God, only by the work of the Holy Spirit of the Living God at work within me, can my walk be blameless. Not by my power, but by Yours. Not by my righteousness, but by Yours. Not by anything I have done or anything I can do, but only by what You have done for me and continue to do in me. “Because of (Your) mercy.” Because of “the kindness and love of God” for me and for every one of us, making this “hope of eternal life” available to all.
Your mercies are “new every morning” (Lamentations 3:23). “For it God who works in (us) to will and act in order to fulfill His good pleasure” (Philippians 2:13).
So as best as I can and all by Your grace, I embrace my rebirth and renewal, as an heir of hope and a child of God my Father, living every day in the power of the Holy Spirit through the mercy of Jesus Christ. In Jesus’ name I pray. Amen.
