Morning by Morning, October 10, 2025 – “One with Him in Spirit”
Good morning, Lord Jesus. One with my Father, One with the Holy Spirit, thank You for desiring to be one with me (John 17:20-23). ...
“But whoever is united with the Lord is one with Him in spirit” (1 Corinthians 6:17 NIV).
As phrased in The Living Bible version, “But if you give yourself to the Lord, you and Christ are joined together as one person.”
As best as I can and all by Your grace, I give myself to You, Lord. I surrender my heart to Your Heart, my thoughts to Your Thoughts, my desires to Your Desires.
As I behold You, as I look to You, as I surrender and yield and submit and give myself to You, You move in me, changing me to become more like You:
“And we all, who with unveiled faces contemplate the Lord’s glory, are being transformed into His image with ever-increasing glory, which comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit” (2 Corinthians 3:17-18).
As phrased in The Living Bible version, “We can be mirrors that brightly reflect the glory of the Lord. And as the Spirit of the Lord works within us, we become more and more like Him” (2 Corinthians 3:17-18 TLB)
Be at work within me, Holy Spirit of God. Make me more like Jesus each day. Little by little, step by step, morning by morning, moment by moment, let the Promise of this Word be fulfilled in me: “Christ in (me), the hope of glory” (Colossians 1:27) — Your glory and goodness and character being developed in me for Your glory to shine through me. In Jesus’ name I pray.
